"I'm sure that Malum is used to travelling often" Isoteph replied, "and I don't need your help Asima. Go off to Babylon or someplace, everything will be fine."

Malum glanced between Asima and her father, "... Alright." he agreed.

Asima's hesitation was even longer, but eventually she nodded. She would just do her best to write back and forth with her brother. She moved up the steps, glancing at Souban, who was seething. She knelt and hugged her father. "Thank you Daddy...You don't have any idea what this means to me."

She practically ran back to Malum, taking his hand, tugging gently towards the door.

Isoteph hugged her back, almost as though his life depended on it for those few seconds. He didn't ever want to let her go but for her own safety, she had to be as far from Souban as possible. "I love you Asima." he told her gently before finally letting her go.

Malum watched the two a moment, keeping Souban in the corner of his eye before following Asima out of the room and closing the door behind them.

the old pharaoh turned immediately to Souban once they had left, "I realize that you are angered by my decision, but you did say that you wanted my children out of the picture." he spoke gently, as though trying to calm an angered lioness, "Asima will be out of your hair in a few days-not to mention that this also keeps Malum at a distance. Now I just need to figure out Nemiah and then hand the kingdom over to you. Is this acceptable?"

The female glared at the male for a few minutes, thinking. Eventually, she nodded quickly, and turned away. "Fine." She muttered. Souban had wanted Asima gone, and well, if Malum was out of the picture, it was even better.

Once they were out of the throne room, Asima glanced over shyly. "Did you really mean all that, Malum?"

"Of course" Malum smiled and kissed her forehead gently, "I may not be bound by those rules the same way Solum is, but I keep them all the same. Well, for the most part. I get the feeling we won't be going anywhere until Souban's taken care of."

"I am doing as you ask" Isoteph stated, "I'm just doing it my way."

Asima beamed. "I'm glad. I don't want to leave him, or Nemiah right now. Did...did you mean all that, about marriage?" She became rather solemn , and serious. "N-not that I wouldn't love that...but...i..it's not really feasible, is it? Plus...it's not a good idea...not without your memories..."

"With or without my memories Asima, I've always loved you" Malum insisted, "and no one has to know if we did get married. Just a secret between you, me and the gods." he smiled.

The princess returned the smile, hugging him tightly. "If you get your memories back, you won't regret marrying me?" Asima asked, just to be sure.

"Impossible" Malum replied firmly.

Asima smiled, kissing him once again. "I love you, Malum...Can we do it now? Tonight?" Her eyes shown with excitement, and her smile was the widest it had been for a while.

Malum blinked, "Marry? tonight?" he paused a moment, thinking about it, "... you know... I can't actually think of a reason not to" he laughed, "well, except maybe finding a priest to do it. Then again, I'm sure Set wouldn't mind."

"Good! I need to talk to him anyway...Do you happen to know where Set is staying? He didn't tell me, but I figured you would know..." She grinned mischievously.

"Hmm..." Malum thought carefully, "err... well I do know where he and his brother used to stay. We could check there. It's in Frodan though, that'll take awhile to get there." he smiled, "if you think you can manage to wait that long"

Asima nodded. "Frodan would be great to get married, anyway..." She stated happily. Truthfully, it didn't matter one way or the other. But, it was where she had so many first memories with Malum, where she'd worked for herself, and where she'd learned so much about all kinds of people. Then she glanced backwards, towards the throne room. "Should we wait, until all this is over with my father?"

"I have no idea what your father's planning" Malum admitted, "but he's truly an intelligent man. I'm sure that whatever it is, if he doesn't want anyone getting in the way, it's a very good idea to stay out of the way."

"A...alright." Asima nodded, agreeing with the male. "When do you want to head out, then?" She flushed red as she was watching the male. It was so hard to believe this all was happening. "This isn't a dream?" She asked for confirmation.

"If it is, I don't want to wake up" Malum replied cheekily.

Asima swatted his arm playfully."When should we go?" She questioned. "When do we tell Solum?"

"I already know" Solum commented as he hopped in through a window, "I was listening and by the way, the two of you are insane."

Asima jumped, eying Malum's brother, and biting her lip. She couldn't keep from grinning for long, though. "Insane isn't always a bad thing, is it??" She hoped.

Solum shook his head, completely baffled by the two of them, "I can't believe you're actually trying to pull this off-and succeeding! No offence but I always kind of figured it would end badly and one of us would be forced to kill the other or something."

"I didn't think it would end...or start...this way. I didn't think it was possible." Asima replied. "Do you think it will work?" She glanced back and forth between the boys.

Malum shrugged, "Why not?"

Solum frowned and leaned back against the wall, "Oh, I can think of plenty of reasons why not. However... We've pulled off riskier things before. It's pretty much business as usual at this point."

Asima smiled again. They were really going through with this? So exciting. "Well, when do we head put then?" She questioned the males.

Malum shrugged, "now?"

Solum sighed, "go ahead without me. I have a few loose ends to tie up before I go anywhere."
