(Hai, hai. It's okay though. I understand. Hi Lavinia!)

The female had smirked at Karth as he was taken away, just as he'd smirked back at her the day Nemiah had disowned her. She focused on the two males, once more wary that a fight may be broken out, though Malum's words confused her. She began staring at the ground and mulling over what Malum had said...The enemy...but then...wait...what?

Shaking her head, she refocused to hear the last bit of Malum's speach, and stared at him, not quite understanding. The male had no way of knowing what went on between her and Nemiah, but he was still insisting on an apology...

Asima glanced at her brother, before turning away, shaking her head. "The Pharaoh doesn't need to apoligize." She bite her lip before continuing, though her words were mumbled. "I'm just the whore of his enemy, after all..." She moved quickly to Malum, tugging his arm gently, whispering to him. "Please, let's just go...Nemiah...he's different now. Please, Malum. You can't hurt him with these guards here, so let's just go."

silenttiger43 05-19-2010 10:59 PM

As Nemiah continued to sit silently, Malum frowned, "Yes, he does need to learn to apologize" he stated, "Because a Pharaoh is not a god, he is mortal, he is human and thus he makes mistakes. Be warned Pharaoh, if you think you are something greater than what you are, I will be the first to strike you down. If you think the gods will save you from me, then you are mistaken, because I know a faulty ruler when I see one-and if you doubt that, then ask yourself this, Why didn't they stop me from killing your father?" the false King's unfaltering gaze met Nemiah's uncertain eyes straight on until the Pharaoh signaled for the guards to step aside and let them leave.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-19-2010 11:03 PM

Asima tugged on his arm desperately, "Malum, stop this! Please, Nemiah doesn't need to apoligize to me, please, let's go..." She found herself begging him, tugging on his arm harder. Nemiah wouldn't apolgize, and she wanted to get Malum away before he realized this. Throwing a glance towards her brother, Asima found her own thoughts crumbling. He would turn out like father, and she still needed to do her best to keep him safe, she had no doubt.

silenttiger43 05-19-2010 11:10 PM

Malum shrugged and turned to leave with her. Just as they stepped out the door, Nemiah stood, "Asima" he called out to her but then he hesitated. For a moment he looked as though he was about to apologize, the advisors were shaking his heads, the guards looked at him shocked but then he stopped himself before continuing, "... be safe... sister..." he sat down slowly again, looking at the golden stairs that lead to the throne.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-19-2010 11:32 PM

Asima had stared backwards at her brother, biting her bottom lip. She wanted to run to him, and beg his forgiveness, beg him to let her come home. At least she was no longer disowned.

The female hesitated, though she was still clinging to Malum's arm. After a moment, she turned away, lowering her head, tugging on Malum once more. "Please...let's go..."

silenttiger43 05-19-2010 11:38 PM

Malum nodded slightly, with a slight glance back at Nemiah before the doors closed behind them. As per the deal he had offered, they were allowed to walk out freely into the sunlight. Malum smiled as they left the palace grounds, "Well, that was rather successful." he commented, quite pleased with himself.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-19-2010 11:44 PM

Asima, on the other hand, was on the verge of tears. She'd let go of Malum's arm, so the male wouldn't feel her trembling. "Successfull?" She blinked at Malum, turning into a glare, before her hands curled into fists, and she attempted to strike him once. She knew before she did so that she wouldn't be able to hurt Malum, still, she wanted him to know how angry she was.

"How in the underworld was that sucessfull? I just had to walk away from Nemiah, once more! He thinks no differently of me, and the only good that came from it, is my having my title back! And a lot good that does me, since Nemiah won't speak to me if I needed him to! How was that successful!? That was all you wanted, wasn't it!? You weren't even sticking up for me, you just wanted to know if he could swallow his pride and apoligize, didn't you? That's what all that was about!"

silenttiger43 05-19-2010 11:50 PM

Malum side stepped her meager attack, looking back at her rather calmly, "Who's to say I'm not allowed to have more than one motive?" he questioned, "and you got more than just your little title back princess, you've started on the first step back into him trusting you. Not to mention Keg no longer has his little inside man, which also means we can see exactly what type of Pharaoh Nemiah really is. Hopefully without Karth whispering in his ear, he'll be different. And by the way, you're welcome" he added, giving her a look, "jeeze, you yammer at me enough to get me to give him another chance, and then not so much as a 'thank you' for doing that and getting a step closer to going back there. We'll see if I ever help you again" he rolled his eyes.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-19-2010 11:57 PM

(Can you say Pms anyone??? I think my moods effect Asima...a lot...>.>)

Asima shook her head, turning away, not wanting the male to see the tears when they finally came. "I don't believe you. You did that for Solum and yourself. Nemiah will never trust me agian. He told me exactly what he thinks of me, and just because he claims me as a sister once more, that doesn't mean that the next time I displease him, he won't do the same. It doesn't matter what I do, I have you on one side, Nemiah on the other. And one of you will always find a fault with my actions. I'll never be able to please either of you." She chuckled wryly. "And she asked me what reason I would have..."

After her tirade, Asima rubbed her eyes, forcing the tears to stop. She shook her head once more, glancing back at Malum. "What's the next course of action, then? Are you wanting to find Solum, or get Sarah from the village? When do we leave for Frodan?" Asima assumed automatically that they would be going to Frodan and taking care of Keg.

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 12:01 AM

Malum watched her for a moment, thinking about what she said. "Well... Oh what the heck, I'm taking a day off!" he declared to no one in particular as he folded his hands behind his head and looked around the city they were walking into, "I had a good night's sleep. Solum's fine, We can fetch Sarah later and Keg can wait. Let's do something fun." he paused, then looked at Asima, "what's something fun?"

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 12:06 AM

Asima looked completely shell shocked, and even took a step back from Malum, though at his comment, she burst out laughing, all the problems forgotten for a moment. She gave a tiny shake of her head, and a shrug, before answering, "I don't know. I spent most of my time studying, and wasn't really allowed outside of the palace.

Though, she couldn't begrudge Malum a day. After all, he always worked so hard. After a moment, Asima recalled the street performers she'd seen the day out with Nemiah. "Hmm..you've spent a lot more time out here than me, but have you ever stopped to watch a street performer?"

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 12:12 AM

Malum looked at her curiously, "a street performer? Uhhhh.... I had one try to pick my pocket before if that counts?" he tilted his head a bit with a grin, "Are there some around here?" his mismatched eyes lit up a little upon seeing her laugh, "and hey, I don't even have to wear my cloak, I'm already under cover" he ruffled his dyed hair, although it was still a bit wet and ended up sticking up in a somewhat amusing way after he messed with it.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 12:23 AM

Asima shook her head, still grinning. "No, that doesn't count, and yes, there's a lot here..." Her chocolate eyes were puzzled, though clearly happy. She stood on her tiptoes, flattening Malum's hair gently. "I really don't understand you at all....I don't think I ever will..." This was spoken softly, before Asima returned to her normal volume, and gripped his hand, tugging him, "C'mon. Let's find a performer!"

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 12:35 AM

Malum chuckled and followed after her. The city as buzzing with it's usual activity and it wasn't too difficult to locate a group of performers. It was quite amusing to watch them, Malum for one seemed to be enjoying himself immensely. He actually bought them something sweet to eat while watching.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 12:51 AM

Asima had enjoyed the performer, munching on the street as she smiled and laughed. After a moment, the princess found herself staring at Malum, her grin growing. It was strange, to see him like this, but Asima enjoyed it. All too soon, the performers were done, and Asima burst into applause with the rest of the group who'd been watching. "Would you like to do something else? Or do we have to go now?" The female finally questioned, glancing at his sheepishly.

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 01:02 AM

Malum clapped along with the crowd as well, he shrugged at Asima's question and answered with one of his own, "What else is there to do?" he grinned cheerfully, rather enjoying the fine sunny day.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 01:05 AM

Asima smiled in response, giving another shrug. "You're turn to pick...Wanna see the marketplace? They had all kind of exotic and interesting things?" She frowned then, unsure. She was truly confused. "Malum, I really don't understand. Each day you are gone, who knows what Keg is doing...He could be finding everyone who was loyal to you, and killing them. Why do this? It's not like you...At least, from what I've seen of you..."

(Be back in a bit)

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 01:14 AM

Malum sighed, "I learned a long time ago that... well sometimes there's really nothing you can do about it. You can't stop people from being who they are, you can't stop bad things from happening, not twenty-four seven. And if you try? You'll just fall apart, and then what good are you?" he shrugged, "one day, a couple hours makes all the difference for the next three months." he then grinned and added teasingly, "Plus it helps to take time to calm down overly emotional princesses"

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 02:42 AM

Asima listened in silence, nodding, though as Malum teased her, she turned suprised again. The princess blinked repeatedly, finally sticking her tounge out. "I'm so not overly emotional! You'd be confused and frusterated if you had to choose between two people you care for and don't want to hurt either one. It's hard. Especially when you must do it alone, and keep making mistakes in the process. Anyway, c'mon Malum!" She gripped her hand in hers, tugging him towards the marketplace. "There was so much pretty stuff, and Nemiah wouldn't give me anytime to look. You could get something for your girls, and maybe Solum too!"

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 03:09 AM

Malum looked at her curiously, although she was pulling him onward before he could comment. "Ah! Pretty things? Yes, I'm sure Solum would love something pretty" he snickered as he followed Asima along down the streets.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 06:48 PM

Asima stuck her tounge out as she tugged them along, before responding, "I mean, maybe you could get him a luck token, and the girls something pretty..." The princess tried explaining a bit better. "Hey, Malum? Can I ask you a question?" She'd slowed down, so she was now walking by his side.

After a sheepish glance, Asima let her hand slip from Malum's, her fingers dawdling a bit more than they should. "Well, I'm going to ask. You probably won't answer my questions anyway...Um, when you brought me into your harem, you didn't intend to do anything. Why place me there, then? You were just giving me food and shelter that you paid for. Why not set me to work at a different task?"

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 07:05 PM

Malum looked at a few things from one vendor before moving along to another, "Why?" he repeated then shrugged, "Seemed like a good idea. It ended up pretty well in the end didn't it?"

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 07:19 PM

Asima flushed, sputtered a bit, and finally looked away, her face beet red. "Can I ask you a personal question?"

She paused, though, knowing Asima, she was going to ask either way. "The girl in the first memory...You loved her, didn't you?"

silenttiger43 05-20-2010 07:24 PM

Malum picked up an apple from one of the food sellers, watching it as he tossed it in the air and caught it again, "Who? I've known a lot of girls. When did you step in again?" he set the apple down and moved along to the next vendor to see what else there was.

Kyuuketsuki_Kisu 05-20-2010 08:44 PM

Asima followed him, mutely. She wasn't sure if Malum was avoiding her question, or truly didn't know who she was talking about.

"T-the girl who spoke of being the Queen of Thieves. You said she'd been gaining your trust for three years..." The princess finally answered, lifting a tiny tiger's eye stone and holding it up to the light, grinning as various rainbows danced before her eyes. "If it's too personal, I understand, Malum. I'm just...curious." Asima set the stone back down, frowning as she lifted another one, holding it next to Malum's face. "Hm...look. It's the same color as your eye..." The female commented thoughtfully, turning the tiny thing over in her hand. After another moment, she set the stone in it's designated place, and turned her face to the male, waiting for his response.
