(Hai, hai...I shall do the skippy part...) Before letting the male go any further, Asima had slipped from the room, locking her door with the metal bar, and leading Malum to her bed, where she returned his kiss eagerly. Too soon, the sun had begun to set, the last rays leaving the female's terrance, and the princess sat up from the bed, giving a tiny sigh, glancing back towards Malum. "Do you still plan to go out...?" |
Malum lay in the bed quite comfortably half covered by the blankets. With one arm propped beneath his head he glanced over at her and gave a bit of a shrug, "Yeah. I think so. There's a place I'd like to visit while I'm here."
|
Asima nodded, glancing away once more. "Just be safe, alright? Whenever you leave, I suppose I'll say goodnight to my brother, then go to sleep. When do you think Solum will arrive, lo-here?" The princess flushed, laying back on the bed, nuzzling up to Malum's side, letting her fingers rove over his chest slowly. |
"Hmm, I don't know" Malum admitted, "we've never been apart for very long before... it's strange when he's not just around the corner... I keep forgetting..." he frowned then sat up, "I need to leave him a trail here that only he'll know, something he'd recognize and Keg wouldn't-and he knows more about us than anyone else-well except you at this point." he stopped and looked at Asima, something seeming to cross his mind but he dismissed it for now as he climbed out of the bed and began to dress.
|
Hugging herself, Asima viewed him doubtfully. "You don't have to kill me or anything...don't look at me that way. I don't intend to tell." Now is as good as time as any... "Besides, when you leave to return to Frodan, I'll still be here, and it isn't like I could reveal to Nemiah where Frodan is, and you don't let me inside enough to know how to hurt you. So, your secrets are safe." "And, as for the trail, I'm not sure what to tell you...I wouldn't know what Solum would look for..." |
"Good, you're better off staying" Malum replied, he didn't seem surprised at the news at all. When he finished dressing he moved back over to her, meeting her gaze firmly, "and no, you won't be telling anyone. And I don't want you digging either-and that includes getting Lakar involved in the slightest-Set as well. I don't want those two anywhere near my business, got it?" he gave a smile before she could even reply, "good girl" and with that he withdrew once more and headed for the balcony.
((I'm just gonna pretend he taught her the spell to turn his hair back to normal at sometime during the time skip XD) |
Alright.) Asima watched him go, huffing slightly. She hadn't expected him to ask her to stay with him, though the Lakar bit threw her off. "I won't bring them into your buisness..." Asima called quietly after him, though she could certainly ask for their help finding out for herself. Feeling even more worthless, and even more like a willing whore, Asima dressed quickly, moving out and heading to nemiah's rooms, knocking gently. |
"Enter" Nemiah called from within. He was sitting at his desk, reviewing a few parchments before bed.
|
"H-hullo, brother..." Asima moved into the room, standing there akwardly, "Um...I've decided I will stay...Other than Malum's escape, did your day go alright?" The princess move to his desk, touching the papers gently. "Is there anything I could help you with?" |
Nemiah smiled at her, "it's good to know you'll be staying. I'm just trying to figure out all this... stuff" he jestured to the parchments. They held quite a bit of information; how well certain productions of buildings were going, important trades between Egypt and other nations and many more things. "I have a meeting with the King of..." he hesitated, looking around the parchment again, "uhh.... I... had his name..." he yawned and rubbed his eyes with one hand, "uhg, Lakar will remind me tomorrow I'm sure..."
|
Asima stared at her brother for a moment, before shaking her head and moving to her brother, guiding him from the chair to his bed. "Sleep...I tell you what, I'll be your event keeper now, alright? I won't make any decisions, I'll just keep track, alright?" Without waiting for Nemiah's response, Asima pushed back on his chest, wanting the male to lay down. She tugged his cover over him then, sighing. "I am sorry for leaving, Nemiah. I've missed you so much. I'll do whatever I can to help now, alright?" |
Nemiah yawned again and allowed her to guide him to bed. He fell back upon the pillows awhile grabbing Asima's arm along the way and pulling her on top of him into a hug, "Thanks Asima" he mumbled as he closed his eyes. It was seconds before his grip loosened and he suddenly drifted off into sleep.
|
Asima had grinned against her brother, and pulled away, moving to his desk. She began reading the work he had to do, organizing the sheets. Poor Nemiah, shoved into this so suddenly. |
Nemiah slept away peacefully, meanwhile however, out in the desert a certain white haired individual was making his way to one of the pyramids. Malum crept along the sands, eventually coming to sealed entrance. With a quick glance around he began to pry into the tomb of Isoteph.
((bedtime ^_^ nighty night) |
(Good night...Ohhh, bad Malum!) Asima finished up with the papers, moving back to her room slowly, exhausted. She could see why her brother was so worn. Idly, the female checked Malum's room, frowning when it was still empty. Unable to wait up for him, the princess crawled into her bed, falling asleep right away. |
When morning rolled around Malum returned. Ra's sun was just kissing the edge of Asima's bed when he crawled up and lounged beside her.
|
Asima woke as her bed shifted, muttering and stretching. As she felt more than saw Malum's body lay next to her, the female wiggled over, pressing into his side. "That took a while...everything is set up? Did you run into trouble?" Her chocolate eyes opened, eyeing the male. "Are you alright?" |
Malum chuckled, "You worry too much" he replied, "everything's fine, no trouble at all."
|
Asima fell silent, biting the retort she wanted to throw at him. Why was she so angry lately? And it all festered inside of her, making her want to rip out her silky hair and scream. Instead, after her silence the princess nodded, glancing around. "I wanted to see Lakar, so I suppose I'll bring some food up quickly for you. And I told Nemiah I'd help him with a few things, alright? Lock the door after I leave." Without waiting for a reply, Asima darted downstairs to the kitchens, selecting various fruits. She didn't eat herself, feeling somewhat ill. Besides, it would prove a good excuse, if someone was to ask why she was bringing the food to her room once more. On her way back, she paused by her brother's door, listening for a moment, not wanting to knock and wake him, but wanting to be there for him if the male had woken. |
Malum chuckled lightly as she ran off before letting himself relax in her bed.
Beyond Nemiah's door there was snoring that could be heard, he was evidentially still asleep. |
Asima continued moving, opening her doors slowly, eyeing Malum with a frown. "What part of lock the door didn't you understand? You could easy slip away if you're seen. Nemiah's thoughts would center on your...whore again, and I'd be left to take the punishment." She deposited the fruits on Malum's lap, before continuing in a calmer voice. "Look. You may not care for me, but this is something I'm asking you to do, to make my life here easier...please?" |
"Calm down" Malum laughed, receiving the fruit, "I'm not going to get caught here, so quite stressing about it. I am a master thief after all. But if you're really so concerned about being found out, it would seem I have overstayed my welcome here." he stood and munched upon an apple, "Shall I find elsewhere to stay, princess?"
|
Asima clearly hesitated before answering. Why should Malum get to stay? He didn't care for her, so why risk herself caring for him. After a long moment, she sighed, shaking her head and sitting on the edge of the bed. "You can stay as long as you want. This will be the last time I'll get to see you, after all." She eyed a plum for a moment, before turning away from it. Simply looking at it made her feel queasy. "Would you like anything before I go see Lakar?" |
"You're not going to miss me when I'm gone, are you?" Malum asked curiously as he watched her.
|
Asima glanced at him in suprise, "W-why does that matter? And...of course I'll miss you." The princess grew red, and glanced away. "As stupid and foolish as it is, I care for you, more than I should. There simply isn't any reason to show that to you. You don't care, won't even use my name, and my emotions just make me feel weaker in front of you." The princess explained, finally grabbing the plum, biting into it angrily. |
