Maoko looked at her. "Are you sure? I mean, here's your chance to have the man of your dreams..."

"I want to stay, yes." Sanoko said looking back at Kashi. She then whispered to him. "I'm sure he doesn't like me back, just because he said that doesn't mean any thing."

Maoko shrugged. "You never know until you try. Sides, I'd rather not be here right now anyways. See ya around Sanoko." Maoko kissed her softly then turned around again.

"Fine, whatever." she said and just let him walk away. She then turned back to Kashi.

Maoko looked back and sighed. "I love you Sanoko, that's why I want what's best for you." Then he sat down on a boulder not that far away and looked away.
Kashi sighed and looked at Sanoko. "What's with him? Are you and Maoko an item?" |
Sanoko looked at Kashi and shook her head. "No we aren't and Maoko is just..." She didn't know how to explain it.

"He's just...in love with you?" Kashi looked up at Sanoko.
Maoko sighed as he grabbed a twig and got down from the boulder. He sat in the dirt and began writing Sanoko's name in it like a little first grader with his first crush. |
Sanoko nodded. "Yes that pretty much says it all. He is in love with me, but I don't...love him back."

Kashi sighed a bit. "Well that's a bit painful for a guy to go through, I know the feeling."
Maoko sighed as he drew a small heart next to the girl's name then wiped it all away. |
"Well what about for girls. It's painful for them too." Sanoko said staring at him.

"I guess so, but us guys, we don't have an outlet for our pain. You girls are able to talk about it all while us guys just have to bottle it all in and look strong and brave."

"Umm...some girls do that to. We don't always talk about their feelings with each other." She said looking at him.

"Well you always have the chance to though. Us guys don't exactly want to be considered weak by doing so."

"Whatever. You can if you pick the right guy to talk a little about it, not much." Sanoko said looking in the direction that Maoko went. "Some us girls don't either depending on our personality."

"Just go talk to him Sanoko. I know you want to, just like I know a part of you likes him but something's stopping you."

"How do you know that a part of me likes him? Yes something stopping me....you..." Sanoko said looking at him and then down.

"I just know. And....excuse me? Sanoko...you like me?"

Sanoko nodded. "Yes I like you." She continued to look down and turned to walk away.

"I...I didn't know. Sanoko...I'm sorry. I've always thought of you like a friend, not much more."

Sanoko stopped to hear what he said, she then walked on to where Maoko was. She stood there and looked at him.

Maoko looked up at the girl. "Yes, what did you need?"

"Nothing, do I need to need something to be around you?" she asked.

His cheeks went slightly red. "N-no. I just thougt maybe there was something on your mind is all."

"No there's nothing." Sanoko said. She looked back where she had left Kashi and then sat down near Maoko.

"Um....so what's up?" Maoko tried to smile over at the girl, hoping she didn't see where he had wrote her name in the dirt then scratched it away.
