Morning light greeted Rave's eyes as he slowly woke up. What the hell? Where had he been sleeping? Trying to sit up rewarded him with a sharp pain down his back. "FUCK!" he yelped, lowering himself back down. He suddenly wasn't sleepy anymore; looking around.
The kitchen? God damn! They must have been completely out of it to pass out in the kitchen! Looking across the table, he noticed the cut up soda can. Ah, that was right... They'd been doing weed before he fell asleep; and obviously Sabel hadn't had the time to tell him he was tired. |
Hearing Rave yelp jolted Sabel right out of his sleep, gasping and he toppled right out of the table, bumping his head on his way down. He held it with a groan, rubbing through his messy hair. "Mnhag... what the..?"
He tried to sit up slowly, wincing at the pain through his back but he managed to straighten out slowly. "Ohhh mann.. I feel like.. I've been hit by a train.." He groaned, rubbing his face. He'd done so much... what had he been thinking? |
Rave tried to sit up again, this time in panic as Sabel toppled to the floor. He was only able to yelp again, laying his head on the table. Trying again, this time much slower, he straightened up, a small pop coming from his back.
"Um... Are you going to be alright, love?" he asked, getting up and crouching down; offering a hand to help Sabel up. |
"Uh huhh... just gonna have a headache." He got up with his help, wincing as he remembered the wounds on his feet. Ohhh, this would be an interesting day. Already he just wanted to go back to bed, but he knew he needed to go to Cy again and finish what they'd started.
"What.. time is it?" He sheilded his face from the light a moment, groaning. |
Standing up fully, he looked over to the microwave. It's bright green numbers read, "Ten thirty... Ugh..." he replied, sighing. He personally thought it was too early to be functioning. But perhaps that was his aching body talking.
"When did you need to be there, Sabel?" No, Rave hadn't forgotten where his companion had to go. He had wanted to put the thought out of his mind, just so he wouldn't care... But it was futile; he cared. |
Sabel was quiet a moment, trying to recall. "Mnh.... He saiiidd... around noon. 'Cuz everyone'll be out for lunch so he won't have to worry 'bout no one out there without him watching out." He yawned, moving to lean against Rave sleepily, burying his face against his chest. It was too bright out.
|
Rave ran his fingers through the silky blond and pink strands of hair, holding Sabel with his other arm. There was a specific reason why one shouldn't sleep in the kitchen; besides the obvious discomfort... It was too damn bright for him to just wake up to, thanks to the lack of curtains on the windows... He'd have to fix that some time.
"Do you want to sleep some more? I'll stay awake; I need to style my hair as it is..." he inquired, looking down at the top of Sabel's head with a small smile. Another hour or so for him wouldn't hurt anything; and he needed all the sleep he could get, as far as Rave was concerned. |
Sabel nodded a little and nuzzled into Rave's body with a groan. He could sleep just standing right there, but hte bed sounded much more comfortable at this point. He moved to pull away from Rave, leaning up for a little, sleepy kiss before dragging himself all the way to Rave's bed to collapse on it.
He tugged the blankets over his head and curled up there, out as soon as he got settled. |
Rave had to contain a chuckle, watching Sabel go. That was... Well adorable. Rolling his shoulders now, a few satisfying pops as reward; he set about making himself half a sandwich. Throwing together some cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato; he padded off to his room.
Being rather quiet, he grabbed some clean clothes, putting on the mesh shirt and tank right away. Then creeping off towards the bathroom; sandwich hanging out of his mouth slightly. He gave a slight groan as he looked in the mirror. His hair was disastrous, knotted up slightly from sleeping conditions and just normal lack of care. Finishing off the sandwich and slipping into his pants; he set about combing out the tangles and styling it. |
Sabel slept hard through the entire hour, waking up on his own when his body finally felt better.
He slowly rose from the depths of the covers, wandering out of the room to slowly stumble back to the table, closing his eyes as he grabbed his clothes and went back into the bedroom to get dressed in the slightly kinder on the eyes room. His new outfit consisted of a pair of skinny jeans, worn blue; a baby blue sweater shirt that hung off of one shoulder and a couple of gold and silver bracelets, pulling on a pair of pink and black flats with a winged heard on the toe. "mnhgg.." He brushed his hair out with his hands, rubbing at his face slowly. It ached to be on his feet. The first thing he went for again was the table--the drugs. Out of habit, it was always one of the first things he did in the morning when he could, take something. |
Rave had been painting his nails idly in wait; sitting on the couch in the living room. He noticed that Sabel was up, and finished up with what he had been doing. He walked into the kitchen; pulling on the fuchsia netting absently, then straightening the black tank. Leaning against the door frame he smiled. "Well, I see I didn't have to wake you up... Think it's wise to take something when you did so much yesterday?"
The only reason he could find for Sabel to take anything, was the fact that it would take pain away from presumably aching feet. "I like that outfit, by the way. Pretty cute." he complimented, pushing himself off the frame a moment later. |
Sabel blushed a little and smiled, sliding down into the chair slowly as he looked at Rave. "Mmmhmm. I've gotta.." He murmured in reply before replying with a "thanks" when Rave commented his outfit.
He picked through the drugs a moment before he slid one skinny arm out of the loose sweater, tying his arm off and he found a vein, but he couldn't even load the syringe, setting them down in slight frustration. Not eating had some major drawbacks sometimes, his hands shaking like he was having a withdrawal, though he wasn't. Having that soda the night before reminded his body how hungry he was. "R-... Rave, could you please...?" he glanced up at the man, sighing. He hated having to ask for help injecting himself with heroine but he didn't want to screw any of his veins up more than the daily injections already were doing. |
"Of course, love." he replied, walking over and grabbing the liquid and the syringe and filling it up. Tapping it a moment to see if there were any air bubbles; he gently took Sable's arm.
"You know, if you eat a little bit, you won't have this problem... Doesn't have to be much; just a little something." he whispered off handedly, focusing on injecting the liquid. Placing his thumb over the spot and pulling out the needle, he met Sabel's gaze. He was probably rather tired of hearing him go on and on. But... Well Rave worried for him. |
Sabel inhaled slowly as he felt the drug enter, chewing on his lip a little. He knew he should... but the thought of eating disgusted him. He also knew Rave worried... he could see it in his eyes, his expression, everything about him.
He glanced at the time and sighed. "We should probably go, Rave." He whispered back, leaning forward to kiss at his lips now that the man had done as he'd asked, "Mmm, I love you." He breathed agianst his lips. He was dreading this visit for some reason... something just felt off about it, but perhaps it was just the fact he'd fallen for Rave--was it guilt for going to have sex with another man? He wasn't entirely sure, and the drug was kicking in, crashing his train of thought and he gave another sigh, this time content. |
He pressed back into the kiss, a smile quirking. "I love you too. I suppose you're right..." he replied gently, giving another slow kiss before pulling away. Rave really didn't like ignoring the fact that Sabel wasn't eating. But he wasn't in the mood of getting in an argument for pushing the issue. He'd seen where the last argument left him.
Offering his hand yet again; Rave helped him out of the chair. He didn't actually want to go. But he'd be damned if something happened to Sabel and he couldn't do anything to prevent it. He didn't really feel like the situation was right, but it was probably just jealous playing in yet again. He didn't see his need to be jealous. He was pretty confidant in his own sex appeal. Maybe it was just something his flamboyant love brought out in him... "Okay... Ready?" |
Sabel made a tender noise against the second kiss, pulling back slowly, not wanting to pull back at all. He got up with Rave's help and nodded a bit, stretching slowly. "Yeah, let's go." He wrapped an arm around one of Rave's to walk with him down to the apartment complex again.
He was pretty quiet, that dread getting heavier in him as they got closer, but they'd gotten the drugs and he knew Cy wouldn't hurt him--there was no reason to keep from completing the deal. As they reached the complex, he glanced at Rave as they went up, pulling away from his arm as they made their way down the hall towards the room. "I'll be out soon..." Though of course, neither of them knew when 'soon' would be. He knocked at the door and Cy let him in himself, closing the door behind them. They lazed around for a good while, just smoking while they lay there in bed. At least an hour and a half passed before they really got down to 'business'. A couple of hours had passed and Sabel was lying with Cy, nearly asleep after everything. There was a small noise in the room that perked Cy's attention just in time for his brains to be blown out as he tried to sit up. Sabel parted his lips to scream, but he didn't get a single noise out before the barrel was in his mouth, shutting him up fast as he froze. The men pulled him up and wrapped him up in the bloody sheet, not letting him get dressed or grab his shoes as they forced him out via the fire escape. As they dragged him to the car parked in the alleyway, Sabel started to kick and struggle. "RAV--!!!" He shrieked, getting cut short as he was hit hard enough to knock him right to the concrete and unconscious as they pulled him into the car to take off. |
Rave couldn't admit how badly he had wanted to turn around and go back home... Any where else but the apartment complex. Or how much he wanted to say 'I love you' again when he merely replied to Sabel's statement with an "Okay, love...".
He'd sunk down against the wall within minutes; the fact that he hadn't slept a little longer becoming quite eminent. Nodding off to sleep; he wasn't very sure how much time had passed, only aware enough to know when Sabel would come back out. His head snapped up; suddenly. A gun? There was a commotion of some kind going on in the apartment, shuffling of feet... Someone was in quite a rush. Trying the first door, he was rewarded with a delicate click and let in. He could hear the fire escape creaking under an excess of weight. Going towards the room he'd seen Sabel and Cy go into before, he pushed the door open... And stumbled back, gasping; stomach turning over in horror. He'd have backed completely out of the appartment, if it wasn't for the shreik, and he ran to the window looking out; eyes widening, blood going cold. "SABEL!!!" Fighting with himself, he kept from jumping out the window and onto the fire escape; turning back to the blood curdling gore. Ignoring it as best he could; he grabbed whatever he could of Sabel's things, and ran out of the apartment. He wasn't sure what to do... But getting out of there was a start. |
When Sabel woke... he wasn't even sure where he was. He was cold, shivering as he opened his eyes slowly. Naked still... His vision focused and he realized he knew who he was staring at--Gavin.
His stomach churned and had he eaten anything, he'd probably have thrown up. The boy tried to move, gasping as he realized he was cuffed to the bed, struggling even more as Gavin came closer. Sabel wasn't sure how long he'd been out... but however long it'd been, it'd been enough time for him to start having withdrawals from the heroine. He craved it so bad now, giving Gavin a pleading look. "P-pleasee.." He whispered, but Gavin shook his head as he sat on the edge of the bed. "Mmm, you'll get what you need in time. Just be patient, pet." He pushed his hand through some of Sabel's hair slowly before yanking on it, making him look at him. "Never run away from me again, Sabel. You're going to be punished... Cy's dead now.. you can't run to him anymore, and if you don't behave, your little lover boy will be next." Sabel stifled a sob and nodded, quivering. He knew what this room meant--he was a whore.... no, a slut. A 'boy' for rent. But he wasn't going to get any of the profit at all this time. Clients could do what they want to him... drugs and sex wise. Fortunately for Rave... Sabel would possibly easy to find. Gavin was keeping him at 'home' and anyone on the street knew about the entertainment Gavin was offering with a boy of his. The only problem was... not everyone would talk, and Gavin didn't always give out his true address... not to mention there were many girls and boys doing just what Sabel was doing for Gavin. He could go through every single one of those before getting to the newest...it could take days, or longer. The thought of being down there fro that long... scared Sabel into tears all over again as the first 'client' entered the room. They each got 15 minutes each for one low rate. |
Rave barely got into his house before his legs gave out. Weak... He was being weak! Head lowered, he wanted to scream; cry, tear something up. He'd been there to protect Sabel and done exactly the opposite. He'd let him get stolen away! His breath shuddered a moment before he gasped, angry, frustrated tears falling on top of the few things that connected him with his lover.
He was stuck like that for at least a five minutes, hunched on the floor beating himself up mentally. There was nothing he could have done to prevent it; except keep Sabel away from there. But who in their right mind would have known? Still, he knew exactly where he was, without knowing the real location. Gavin had him. The one person he'd been trying to help Sabel run from... What was he doing to him? These thoughts were enough to help Rave push himself back up, grabbing the items and taking them into his room. He dropped them on his bed and was stuck wondering what to do. He could get in his car and drive around... But that wouldn't do any good. He had no idea WHERE 'home' was. He could... Ask someone on the streets. Yes... But would anyone tell him? Somehow he figured that most wouldn't or might even lead him astray... "Fuck..." he murmured, leaving his room and heading back for the door. There had to be an easier way about this. Why didn't he at least ask Sabel where it was? Oh well... He'd start looking as best he could... |
A few days had passed and Rave hadn't shown up...Sabel was beginning to lose hope already. He was tired, his wrists were bleeding from the cuffs--they'd only been removed a few times when he'd had to use the bathroom or needed bathed. He was to weak now to fight against them.
Still cuffed, Sabel lay in the newly changed bed, clean for the time being but he was shaking so hard--withdrawals to boot, they'd shoved so many drugs in him. The boy whimpered when he heard the first customer or the day come in, the drug of choice was thankfully heroine...and Sabel was given what he'd spent the entire night screaming that he needed so badly, now he hardly had any voice at all. As the day progressed from morning to noon, he got his break. He was so out of it, pumped up with all kinds of drugs... he was feeling ill though, woozy... not good. He shook and groaned, this wasn't good... he felt so ill. Gavin pain no attention to his condition as the break ended, he'd been cleaned up and cuffed back up to the bed for the next customer, and with him came another drug choice because the last were 'wearing off'. That was enough to do it and slowly, Sabel stopped responding, freaking the man out--was he dead? If he was, then it was gross for the man... they were in the middle of a very 'intimate' act. It was enough to make the man dress and back out with a startled cry--that would bring a lot of attention to the space. After that, Gavin was busy trying to wake Sabel back up, dumping ice water on him and actually getting him back, Sabel's eyes fluttering open and he gave a startled gasp. "Ughnh,.... h-he..help.." He gasped out, feeling so faint... he'd never felt like this before... was he dying? Was it how Lexi felt when she died? He was scared. "R-Ravee... h-helpp..." He couldn't move, feeling paralyzed, tears slipping down his tann face. "Rave.." So faint... his vision was blurring and blacking out so slowly as he tried so hard to hold on. |
The first day had been unsuccessful. Rave had wandered the streets; came upon a few people whom he'd thought could tell him how to find Gavin's, but was proven quite wrong when they simply shook their heads and tried to deture his attention. That night found him at a place he really wasn't expecting to go. Daren's apartment.
Daren had ushered him in, not a few seconds after he'd knocked. As if fate was smiling a little, the blue haired man wasn't high at all. Instead of pushing himself on Rave he rather took pity and allowed him to sleep on the couch and stay as long as he liked until he needed to leave. Sure, he was jealous; but without drugs he didn't have the fighting attitude, and Rave wasn't his 'business' any more. The next day greeted Rave with more people who wouldn't speak. He was starting to get more worried; if that was even possible. Would Sabel even be alright when he got there? Though there was a sense of hopelessness coming from deep within, it only fueled his efforts. But, wandering the streets that day only exhausted him. What if Gavin found out he was looking for him? Surely his style was easily recognizable; a green mohawk and pink clothes? If that didn't make him stick out, he wasn't sure what would. That night he wandered straight back to Daren's, crashing on the couch, but not really sleeping... Dread keeping him awake. Finally, the next day he got up and started looking around the streets yet again. He wondered if this was how some prostitutes felt, working the streets, hoofing it down one block then another. But he found the answer he'd been looking for in a pretty, rather young girl. She thought he was hot; he thought she knew something. It took some coxing to get the answer from her; a few kisses he was none too thrilled about, and she'd pointed him in the right direction. Approaching the place, Rave couldn't do more than grimace. It didn't look too bad; no... But he could just imagine what was going on inside. A shriek of more masculine proportions greeted his ears, and he nearly ran into a man as he was running out the front door. Well... That was definately a way to get in; but what if Gavin was right there? Forgetting to be fearful of consequences if he was, Rave grabbed the closing door and slipped in. Good; he was safe... Now which room? Sabel had to be around here somewhere. There seemed to be a little commotion going on in one of the back rooms now. Slowly he slipped that way; making sure that he'd be ready if someone popped around from one of the corners. He didn't have a weapon, per say, but he was ready to defend himself. Walking quietly towards one room, he froze. Someone had just said his name right? Rave waited a moment... Yes; it was gasped, strained... But it was definately Sabel! He pressed his back up against the wall. How should he do this? Wait for whomever to come out? Or burst in and risk everything? |
Frustrated, Gavin hit Sabel hard, splitting his lip. The boy's gasps stopped and he quieted, eyes half lidded. He couldn't move...his voice was raspy and nearly gone. Gavin sneered a curse and got up from the bed as Sabel closed his eyes the rest of the way and fell completely silent. He grabbed his phone and walked out of that room, passing Rave; too preoccupied to even notice him there.
He was on the cell when he walked past, stating he'd need to get a body bag in there A.S.A.P. to dispose of the whore. Sabel was still cuffed to the bed, the keys on a table near by. He was breathing lightly, labored however as he struggled to hold on, shivering almost violently. His voice gasped out again, "Rave..." now that he was alone, tears falling down his tan face in thicker streams. |
Rave thought he'd been caught, heart stopping for the longest few seconds as Gavin walked right past him. For a moment he wished he had a gun; or something more threatening than his fist; so he could knock the man senseless. His heart gave a erratic thump and sank, however, as he heard what Gavin was saying. Oh no, no, no... He wouldn't believe it!
Slipping into the room to see for himself he bit down on his lip to keep from inhaling sharply or even gasping. Sabel looked like hell; but he did notice that his chest was still moving with the intake of air, albeit labored. Approaching he looked around; ah, keys to unlock those nasty, torturous hand cuffs. He leaned down; one hand cupping a tanned cheek, the other grabbing the keys. Nuzzling just above his ear, Rave whispered gently; "I'm going to get you out oh here, Sabel, love... Just hold on a little longer for me, okay?" He really didn't expect a reply, reaching across Sabel for one cuff then unlocking the other. Once he was done unchaining him, he quickly pulled off his tank and put it on Sabel quickly. It wouldn't do much, but it'd cover most of Sabel up, and what wouldn't Rave wrapped up in the blanket. A glance at the door to see if they were still safe, and he looked around for a window. Spotting one, he went to it, pulling away the newspaper and letting light flood into the room. Opening it half way, he knew they couldn't fit through. It only took a split second for him to decide to put his hand through the glass and start pulling the frame out as quickly as possible; ignoring the blood pooling out of the fresh wounds and the glass digging into his palms and fingers. Throwing what was left of the window to the floor, he went back to Sabel and picked him up; starting to finagle them out the window, Sabel first of course... |
Sabel jolted a little at the touch, inhaling sharply in fear that the was going to be hit again. The room was spinning, his fingers curling slowly as his hands were released from their metal prisons.
He was quiet for a long while, gasping out in shock as his hold left him. His voice whispered out again, "Ravee..." afraid that he'd been left... he couldn't feel him anymore, where'd he go? The youth continued to tremble as if he were freezing, even all wrapped up. His eyes fluttered a moment as he was lifted up, they'd have to hurry now, the sound of the window being take out was sure to bring some unwanted attention to the room. He was just barely holding on as Rave worked on getting them out through the window. Footsteps could be heard through the hall, heading for them in a slight panicked pace--someone had heard the racket and was coming fast. "....I.. love you.." Sabel breathed, though it was barely audible. He didn't seem like he was going to be able to hold on much longer, he was trying, but everything was just slipping. The door shoved open as Gavin rushed in, his gun clicking--he'd fetched it so if Sabel had still been alive when he'd returned... he could just put him out of his misery. "What the--!!" The hammer clicked back audibly as he raised the gun and rushed towards the window. "Well, fuck." He'd been too late, whoever had gotten Sabel, since he knew the boy was in no shape to be getting out, got away. Gavin took a moment to examine where the window had been, looking at all of the blood. Whoever had come had hurt themselves getting out...Perhaps they wouldn't make it very far. It was wishful thinking, anyway. |
Rave's heart had been pounding, blood rushing almost deafening him. The only thought 'Climb! Climb! CLIMB! Help Sabel! GET OUT! He'd barely made it out with Sabel still in his arms, when Gavin had fired the gun. He KNEW he should have knocked him out. But perhaps it was good and well that he'd missed.
His hands ached, fingers throbbing... He'd been dumb enough to even gash his wrist open, blood slowly dripping down his arm or seeping into the cloth around Sabel. But it didn't matter, his steps ringing out as he ran down the street. Why hadn't he brought his car? Not that it was that far away from his house, but... It'd take at least five more minutes to get there... Did they even have five minutes? All he could clearly feel was Sabel's condition worsening, shaking in his arms, slowly fading out. He'd be damned if he died... Lost more like it. He needed a hospital, but until Rave could get him there, all he could give were whispered words. "I love you, Sabel... Please, please... hold on..." |
