Celest sighed and stared out the entrance of the Cave when Clyde came in. She pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them as she watched the moon. It was getting higher, She had a few weeks before the full moon. Maybe she will be away from them.. maybe when they get to the villiage they will go their own ways. She sighed again. "When we go to the village we can, talk about weaponds.."

Claire gave a glance at Clyde when he came into the cave. Well, at least we won't have to call the neighborhood watch committee. She thought about what he said. She didn't feel that hungry, but the rest of the group might have been. She decided to just wait for them to answer. Being able to use a weapon from twigs and leaves? Well there was this one time at camp.. She stopped herself before going into a flashback. She shrugged. "Kind of, but I have better hearing than hunting skills." She heard Celest and thought about that. In this case her guitar was her best weapon, but she would probably need a blade in case there was a deaf...thing.

"How close is the village now?" He peered curiously at Celest from across the cave floor. It wasn't like he didn't mind walking, it was just that finding answers to this world in a village were almost slim to none. Clyde glanced outside - the night was creeping in now, and he wondered how time had passed so quickly. It seemed like only a minute ago that it was dawn. To Claire, he murmured a quick: "Hear well? Go figure." Clyde reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the four remaining daggers in his pocket, holding it out to her. "Well, can you use this?" Because honestly speaking, people are slow - easy targets. Animals? Not so much.

Celest shrugged. "HOW am I supposed to know that?" She snapped at him. "I don't have a map. All i know is which way from what Claire saw in the tree.." Celest rolled her eyes and grumbled shaking her head. "Besides, It won't kill you to walk a little." Men, she thought. All just big babies... Crossing her arms now she had a scowl on her face.

"The village should only be a short distance from here." Claire recalled how the village had looked from those trees. The village itself would be more of a climb than a walk though. It was raised on a plateau like area. It was as if there were different levels for each of the houses. I suppose even if we can't find what we want in the village it's a good place to steal...uhhh I mean go shopping. She looked at Clyde who had handed her a dagger.
"Yeah, thanks." She smiled at him before pocketing it. All those days of breaking up bar fights and arguing with the bouncer would pay off. Just because people criticize you it doesn't mean you have to accept it The corners of her mouth threatened to tug into a grin when Celest scowled. Aww, she's pouting! She said this jokingly of course

"No need to get all defensive." Clyde grinned. It was a little too easy to anger her, "Now, now. Scowling like that all time is going to permanently ruin your pretty face." He looked at the fire and raised an eyebrow. "How did you guys manage get this going without any matches?" Sighing, he sat back now. Like he had been telling himself - if they didn't worry, then neither should he.

"Why thank you Celest. I think your the first person ever to tell me that in my whole life." She smiled at Celest and looked over to Clyde. "Me and fire have always gotten along. Thats how." She looked down to her book. A picture of a dragon and a wizard had found itself onto her paper some how. "So, do yall want a bed-time story or not?" she looked around at everyone, waiting for the mood to even out.

Clyde snorted quietly, "Then I hope you can catch animals with twigs and leaves. As far as I know, I'm the only one with a sharp object-" He looked at Claire and Hideto, "That can and was actually made for cutting. That aside, the only helpful thing you've done all day is suggest that we go to the village that - might I add, Claire found? Will you teach me your ways, oh clumsy one? How do you do it?"
Clyde took a quick glance at Ray and replied, "Only if you want to. I guess there's no harm; it's too dark out to make progress anyways."

Claire was about to open her mouth, but refrained. She had been having too many flashbacks about camp. She blinked and shook her head. Camp was one of her weirdest, craziest, most useful experience she would give anything not to relive. She had to admit though, it wasn't just rubbing sticks together. At camp they had the campers use bows and a stick instead. She watched the "creative discussion" occurring between Celest, and Clyde. She wasn't sure who's side to take. On one hand what Clyde was saying was true, but on the other Celest seemed to be a bit less brash about things. She gave a quick, grateful glance at Ray. At least a story could dissipate things.

Growling she pushed herself off the ground with out fall over this time and left the cave kicking the dirt. "What ever." She mumbled and left them behind walking away. " I Don't need them..and is obvious they don't need me well good! Who needs friends." Celest grumbled and walked towards the path Claire pointed out. "I will find my own way home.." she kicked a tree. The tree branches came down and hit her back. "ARG, stop that!!" she yelled at the tree. Mumbling Celest turned and walked down by the water. Plopping down on the grass she stared in to the lake watching the small disruptions of the surface.

Ray saw Claire's desperate look for something to draw Clyde's and Celest's attention, But Celest walked off before she could start. "Celest." she called over her shoulder "You do need friends. You can't survive without them. Be they imaginary or real you need them." with that said Ray clearing her throat and began her story.
"Once upon a time, there was a boy. His name was Thrae, Draconic for air. Thrae had the strange power of being able to control the weather. He could make it rain even if there were no clouds in the sky and he could make a strong wind stop in its tracks. Even though Thrae was an important person in the community, many people hated him and called him a demon. After his thirteenth birthday, Thrae decided that he couldn't take it any more and ran into the nearby woods."
Ray looked into the fire "damned improv stories. always running away when you need them most."

Claire bit her lip as Celest walked out. "Hey wait, ugh fine be that way." She said this as Celest walked out. She figured that Celest would probably cool off, but she felt bad that she didn't say anything. Man, well at least we might meet up with her at the village..it's not like she can go anywhere else. She gave a visible sigh before leaning back. Claire looked outside at the moon, it was waxing, but she wouldn't say that in fear that she would burst out laughing. Whenever she thought of waxing it was always associated with a person's hairy back.
She looked back at the other three. Hideto was probably off in his own world and Ray was telling a story. She wasn't sure about Clyde though, a bit of an enigma to her. She turned her head to face Ray. She raised an eyebrow at the last part. Running seemed to be cliche, but it was improvised, so Ray probably didn't have time to think it out.

Ray looked into the fire, trying to think of something. Finally the next bit came into her mind.
"Thrae in his anger had forgotten to take anything with him. Scorning himself he looked for a place to stay. Finding a cave he layed down and fell asleep in th entrance.
Thrae was awakened by a loud noise that had come from the cave. Sitting up he looked for what made it. When he found it, he regretted leaving the village. A huge dragon stood over him. It's scales were a magnificent glittering green. "And who might you be?" the dragon asked. Spitting out the word 'you'. "I am Thrae. Who are you?" Thrae stood up to his full hight. "I am Sveargith." the dragon looked down at Thrae as if he were a snack."
Ray paused. Now what? "do I make them friends or does Sveargith eat Thrae? or should i leave them on a cliff hanger? it not a good one but if I can't think of anything else it will have to do" Ray looked to the fire.

Claire took a minute to take in the words that Ray was saying. It was left on a cliffhanger. She was paying more attention to her own thoughts, but listening to the story all the same. It was a wonder at how things turned out. She knew that everyone wasn't on the best of terms, but either way she felt that it was going to work out. She felt like going outside, but it seemed rather cold. Clair was only clad in a scarf, skirt, sneakers, and a tank top. Not exactly brave the elements clothing. She rewound her scarf around her neck out of boredom.
She played with her thumbs a bit and ran the rest of her finger across her guitar, it made a soft melodic sound, but it didn't detract from the story. Ray had paused already. Even popping into a different world and meeting people from different parts of our's won't let me escape bits of boredom. I've got such a great mindset.

Ray took a breath. she would do more of the story and then stop at a appropriate ending for now and tell the rest later. She needed some time to think more thoroughly over what happened.
"Thrae looked up at Sveargith, and with what courage he could muster he spoke "I am sorry for trespassing on your territory. Could you by chance tell me where i could go? That is not the village?" Sveargith sat down and wrapped his tail around his feet. Like a cat. "There is no other place." He said in a blank tone. Thrae sighed and started to walk back to the village. Before Thrae could take five steps, Sveargith grabbed him and tossed him into that cave. "What can you do human? Why would you run away?" Sveargith looked at Thrae with pricing eyes. "I can control the weather." Thrae said now scared. Sveargith contemplated this for a moment, but didn't take his eyes off Thrae. "You will stay here. I know a female dragon that is coming this way. She would like a human servant for her home." As Thrae's eyes widened; Sveargith smiled a toothy smile. "Tough luck human. You should know never to trust a green dragon." Sveargith took Thrae to a cell deep in his cave and left him there. "I should of never left the village." Thrae said holding onto the bars."
"And thats all folks." Ray said finishing the last bit in her sketch book. "Sorry if I'm a bit cocky but i couldn't think of anything else." Ray moved closer to the fire, it was getting cold out. "I wonder why we're all here. maybe we're all not actually human. maybe we're something else. but the letter said the only humans....this is going to be a tough trip." Ray looked in the direction of the village and then she looked at everyone in turn. "So strange..." she said to the fire. It crackled in reply.

Claire laughed at the ending of the story. To her it was a bit more realistic than the dragon being slain. She sat up and stretched some of her muscles. It was probably around midnight about now. For once I don't have to go nocturnal for my job. Here I can get some normal hours and maybe a nap or two. She observed Ray writing into her sketch book. A writer and an artist way to be multi-skilled. She looked back at Clyde and then Hideto. Whatever it was that they were doing, it was pretty quiet all the same.Claire gave a small shiver, wishing that there was a ventilation shaft in the cave. At least that way they could close up the mouth of the cave.
Psh, scarfs only keep your neck from getting frostbite. Whatever, I'll just drape it around my body. She readjusted her scarf as she thought this and felt slightly warmer. She moved closer to the flame and put her hands out, feeling the heat in her palms. Thinking about the story it seemed that there was something that all brought them together. Was it power? Only Celest and herself had powers, unless the others were lying. Well Ray might be one. She did have an odd amount of luck starting a fire. Or maybe Hideto, but he didn't seem to be showing signs of lying. And then there's Clyde. He spoke with an even tone and hasn't shown any signs either..hmm

Being alone in the woods wasn't as scary as Celest thought. It was actually soothing to her. She stared over the water watching as the creatures swam around. Some glowing, some a bit to slimy. Sighing she sat back and heard something splashing around in the water. Kneeling she looked up and saw a mermaid. Not just one, there looked to be five of them swimming around and talking. Celest kept her eyes on them just watching and studying. She didn't notice a snake like vine wiggling on the ground and moving it's way closer to where she kneeled until she felt something wrap around her ankle. Tugging at her leg she fell forward hitting the dirt. "Oof..." rolling over she kicked at the vines until it let go. "stupid things..." as she was kicking the vine pushed her towards the water were the mermaids grabbed her and pulled her under.

Ray looked over to Claire, and smiled "the only person actually listening." Thinking that she should maybe try and brush up her skills with live art, she started to sketch Claire. But as always Her Drawing went from real to imaginary. She gave Claire wings and made the fire bigger than is actually was. Sighing she put her sketch book back in her bag and took the letter out and read it over, looking for something that might hint off to something else. "They say we weren't meant for our other lives on Earth. We will understand? Hardly, we won't be able to do anything if people keep snapping at each other. In the morning Celest plans to go to the village, I might go with her. Who knows? Maybe the rulers of this realm don't live in big castles. Maybe we could talk to them face-to-face." she spoke softly as to not disturb anyone else's thoughts. Ray looked to the fire, wishing it was a person so she could get answer that she would understand. "how long can you hide Ray? how long before the figure out what you can do? what will their response be like?" this ran through Ray's head for a few minutes, then she shook it off and lost herself in the beauty of the flames.

Claire saw Ray sketching something, thinking it was her Claire shifted a bit to a comfortable position and tried to only move minimally. She thought about playing a song, but wasn't sure which one. She closed her eyes and cleared her mind. As soon as she remembered the notes to a song she started to play them softly, and then used her power to amplify it a little better. It seemed to take a toll on her, doing it all day made her feel tired, or maybe it was just staying up.
"Someone is waiting, Someone who understands exactly how you feel." She continued playing until she had ended the song. " hope that, I hope that someone is me." The song didn't really mean anything only that hse had it in her head earlier. She took off her guitar and put it next to her. She felt sleepy at the moment and leaned in to take a rest. The warmth of the fire didn't exactly help her stay awake. She didn't know if she would end up on anyone(hopefully not that'd be kind of awkward..), but she supposed that they would wake her if anything happened.

Ray listened to the song, it calmed her nerves. Seeing as that everyone had either retreated to their own little world or fallen asleep, Ray thought she might stay by the fire and keep it going for a few more minutes. "I wonder what will happen when we all reach the village. Will they welcome us or kill us? I wish you could talk to me..." Ray stared at the fire longingly. The letter was still in her hands. Ray read it over and over again. "what does this all mean?" Ray gave up on trying to understand the letter for now and put it back in her bag. Out of boredom she looked through her bag. "Ink, pen, nibs, sketch book, another one thats blank, erasers..." Ray paused, a glint of metal caught her eye. She picked it up "My pocket knife!" she said holding it up to the fire. "It's a good thing i sharpen my pencils with this. Now we have another means of surviving...ish." Ray put her knife back in her bag. The moon was high in the sky and it light up the places where there were no trees like a lantern. "Well i might as well go to bed..." Ray put her head down on her bag and started into the fire, slowly letting herself drift off into sleep.

Hideto stared into the flame of the burning campfire as he listened to everyone speaking, though he had trouble figuring out anything to say. It was a rather unfamiliar feeling, though it wasn't particularly surprising in such an unusual situation. He sighed as he pulled a folded piece of blank paper from his back pocket, as well as a tightly capped fountain pen. If he couldn't think of anything else to do, he might as well polish up that song he had been working on.
He unscrewed the pen cap, then leaped up in shock as nearly two ounces of ink came spilling out. He hadn't even stopped to think that something may have gotten shaken up when he got dumped here, or when he was making his way here to the cave. Jolting back, he ended up hitting his head on the cave wall, and probably making quite the fool of himself as he shook his hands wildly, the black stains plainly visible to all around.
"Kuso..." he hissed, checking to make sure there were no black blotches on his shirt. Ordinarily, something like this would be no big deal; this ink washed out easily, but out here, where he didn't even know if soap existed, he wasn't exactly thrilled at the thought of staining his only clothes already. Luckily, he spotted nothing; it as only his hands and left knee that the ink hit. Well, so much for writing, anyway...

Ray sat up when he heard Hideto say something. She had been half awake half asleep, waiting for something to happen. Ray looked over to him, he had ink all over is hands. She couldn't help but giggle a little. "What are you up to?" She said smiling and moving closer to the fire. Ray looked at Hideto "a quiet person like me. someone who seems to be somewhere other than here. my type of guy..." The fire had died down a little and Ray fed it some more wood. The moon had begun to set and Ray guessed that it was early in the morning. Three, maybe four o'clock.

Celest gurgled out small bubble of breath she was holding in to survive. She began hitting at the mermaid's grip on her body to loosen the hold, but the grip grew tighter. Suddenly a large mammal with a serpents head and a turtles body swam past them knocking the mermaid's grip loose. Celest quickly began to swim to the surface as the monster came swimming by hitting against Celest's head making her groan.Quickly she kept swimming until she broke the surface gasping for breath. Making her way toward land she pushed her self on to the grass gasping still and coughing up the water out of her lungs. "God..." she grumbled as the monster broke the surface as well making a large whale like sound and splashing around.

"I usually don't go to sleep until...very late...I was going to work on something I was writing until I fell asleep, but...my pen leaked. Badly," Hideto replied with a nervous laugh, holding up the offending pen. He grabbed his makeshift spear and headed for the mouth of the cave, trying to avoid getting ink on anything else.
"I'm going to see if I can find a pond or something like that..." he added, still laughing nervously, figuring his reason was obvious. As he stepped out and away from the fire, he realized just how cold it had gotten, and he started to wish he had at least worn a jacket...or been given even half a chance to prepare.
