Ben and Matt returned to the living room with plates, forks, and a scoop for the ice cream in their hands before sitting next to their respective girlfriends. "Aw, Lee. I didn't grab any candles." Matt sighed with a furrowed brow. "But since its your birthday I think you can still make a birthday wish." He shrugged as he hooked an arm around her shoulders.

Leane laughed, "Oh alright. Instead of blowing out the candles I'll...." Leane trailed off as she closed her eyes, made a wish, and then grinned. Taking a large frosting flower from the cake, Leane quickly shoved it into Matt's face with a grin. "....Decorate your face with yummy frosting," Leane grinned as she licked her fingers.
Jenny burst out laughing as she pointed at Matt's face, "Matt dear, you look god enough to eat! I guess Leane's wish must have been that you become even sweeter than before!" |
Ben laughed as Matt's face turned a red beneath the frosting. "Not even frosting could make Matt any sweeter." Ben teased before Matt let out a laugh.
"You're in for it now." Matt grinned wickedly at Leane before trapping her in his arms and burying his face in her neck to give frosting kisses up to her forehead, effectively sharing the frosting among them. "Much better." He laughed. |
Leane laughed a her nose wrinkled and her fingers tried to wipe the frosting from her neck and face. "Oh now that was just unfair! I'm the birthday girl, I shouldn't have to go through such torture!" Leane laughed as she ate the frosting from her finger tips.
"Well Lee, it looks like you needed some sweetening up too!" Jenny said breathlessly as she leaned into Ben's side. "I think the same could be same for you!" Leane said with a wicked grin as she grabbed another large frosted flower and shoved it in Kalli's face. "How very rude," Jenny said with a frown as her tongue licked at the frosting. "But very yummy!" Jenny added with a laugh as she wiped some off with her finger and licked it happily. "Would you like some too Ben? You look left out!" Jenny added with a devilish grin as she grabbed a corner handful of frosting and placed it on both of Ben's cheeks, as well as his lips. "There, now you're all rouged up and ready for the party!" Jenny managed through giggles. |
"Thank you darling." Ben laughed as he fanned himself. "A make up artist in the making." Ben teased as he tucked his arms around Jenny's waist.
"Aw but now we have to wash all this frosting off before the coloring stays to our skin." Matt shook his head. "I don't know how good I'd look with a blue forehead." "Well anything will look then you did before." Ben countered with a wink at his best friend. |
Jenny laughed as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips. "I love you," Jenny murmured softly before licking the frosting from her lips and leaning back into Ben's torso.
Leane laughed as she wiped the frosting from Matt's forehead with a napkin, "Care to help me to the bathroom to clean up?" |
"No problem." Matthew smiled as he scooped one leg under Leane's knees and another behind her shoulders to lift her bridal-style to the bathroom. "Here you are." Matt said as he set Leane on the side of the bath tub and wet a washcloth before lightly washing her face with it.
~~~ "Love you too, Jenny." Ben smiled as he picked up a napkin and wiped the red from his lips and cheeks before giving Jenny's scalp a soft kiss. |
"Thank you," Leane said with a warm smile as she looked up at Matt. "Matt? Should we tell them? I'm afraid of what they'll say... But I don't want them finding out from someone like Kurt either... I'm afraid..."
----- "Is it just me, or is something wrong with Leane..." Jenny asked softly as she linked her fingers with Ben's. |
"I think we should tell them." Matthew sighed as he finished Leane's face, rinsed the cloth, and then washed the frosting from his own face. "Friends shouldn't have secrets." He reminded her as he set down the washcloth and reached out to help keep Leane on her feet despite the cast. "Its going to be alright." Matt assured Leane as he placed a soft kiss on her temple.

Leane sighed, "You're right.." Forcing a smile, Leane leaned against Matt and placed a light kiss upon his cheek. "Let's get this over with," Leane added with a soft laugh.
--- "I'm not sure... I wonder if Kurt did something again..." Jenny pondered with a frown. |
"We'll get through it." Matthew smiled as he helped Leane back into the living room and sat them both onto the couch.
"Welcome back." Ben smiled as he set his chin on Jenny's shoulder, sneaking a small kiss on her neck. |
"Lee, I don't care if the boys have to leave, but I want to know what's wrong," Jenny said with a frown as she looked at Leane.
"No, they can stay," Leane said with a scarlet blush, "It's something you and Ben should both hear, before you hear it from someone else.." "Lee.. What is it you have to tell us?" Jenny asked hesitantly. "I'm pregnant.." Leane said with a small smile as she looked at Jenny and Ben. "I found out in the ER. It was just a trace, but from the lab's experience it looks like I'm pregnant. I have to follow up and get it checked again, just to be sure, but it looks like I'll be having a baby in nine months." |
"Oh God." Ben's mouth dropped open as Matt rubbed Leane's hand soothingly. "Congrats, man." Ben smiled at his best friend comfortingly.
"Er, thanks." Matt said with red cheeks. "Its a bit sooner-scratch that, its alot sooner then either of us thought. But there's not much we can do now." He said as he looked quizzically at Jenny. "What do you think?" He asked Leane's friend, holding Lee closer to him. |
"I... I... I don't know what to think.. I think I need to lay down," Jenny said softly as she leaned back into Ben's frame, her hand on her forehead. "Lee... Your parents.. They're going to kill you.. JOSH is going to murder you.. Kurt.. Oh God.. Kurt is going to be so livid..." Jenny rambled endlessly, reacting much in the same way as Leane did.
"Je-Je-Jen-Jenny!" Leane tried to spit out between Jenny's rambles, hardly able to get more than a syllable out until she covered her mouth. "I know.. I know all of this.. I need you to be on my side for this... Please.." "I am, Lee... You know I am... I just... I don't.." "I know," Leane said with a warm smile, "I know." |
Jenny's reaction did little for Matthew's nerves as he shifted nervously beside her girlfriend. "Its scary-I know. But we have to deal with it now." He said matter of factly.
"And you know we have your back no matter what." Ben smiled encouragingly, holding Jenny tight in his arms. "You're going to be a great mom, Leane." He said softly to Leane as he stroked Jenny's arm. |
"Thanks," Leane said with a warm smile, "I'm sorry I ruined the festivities.. I just.. I felt so terrible keeping it from you, despite being so afraid to say anything.."
"No, Lee, you didn't ruin anything. We're glad you told us," Jenny said affectionately with a smile as she took Leane's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "How are you going to tell your parents?" "After the party tomorrow night, Matt and I plan to sit them down and tell them," Leane explained softly. "How long do you think you can keep it a secret from everyone?" "As long as we possibly can... Although I'm sure my parent's reaction will be a dead give-away with what they do to Matt and his family," Leane said with a sigh, to which Jenny merely nodded solemnly. |
"Its going to be alright, love." Matt murmured into Leane's ear though his frown was evident. "But how about for now we just enjoy your birthday?" He asked, Ben nodding in agreement.

"Yes, the ice-cream is starting to melt," Jenny said with a smile as she became her cheery self for Leane. Scooping ice-cream onto four plates and placing a piece of non-destroyed cake onto each plate, Jenny smiled as she took two plates and forks and leaned back into Ben's frame. After handing him one set, Jenny sighed as she ate a piece of her cake. "The cake is really yummy, Lee, you have to try some!"
Taking a place, Leane took a bite and squirmed in her seat, "Mmmm! It is yummy! Almost as yummy as Johnny Depp." Jenny laughed, "Mmmm, very close, but not quite!" |
"Am I going to have some competition here?" Matt asked jokingly as he took a bite of his cake.
"I don't know, Matt. Johnny Depp is dreamy." Ben sighed wistfully before taking a few bites of cake. |
"Mmmm, maybe. I'm sure I could find someone in my family's circle that could introduce us. Maybe I'll leave you for him and live a life of luxury and movie premiers," Leane said dreamily with a grin before placing a long, tender kiss upon Matt's lips. "Don't worry, my love, I'll always choose you first. Though it may be hard when comparing to Johnny Depp," she added with a teasing wink before taking a bite of ice-cream.

"Fair enough, Lee." Matt laughed. "It's nice that I come first to the ever dreamy Johnny Depp." Matt teased as he continued to eat.
"I don't know though." Ben said with a knowing smirk. "I think it'd be tough to choose between Jenny and Johnny." Ben teased, giving Jenny a gentle nudge. |
Jenny smirked as she stole a bite of Ben's cake. "Well who said he'd go for you over me or Lee? I think we have a better shot than little old you," Jenny said teasingly. "I still love you though," Jenny said with a laugh as she placed a light kiss on his cheek.

"Why, Jenny I never." Ben shook his head before stealing his own bite from Jenny's plate. "Johnny and I would have a chemistry unmatched by any other star couple." He teased.

"Pshhh. You wish!" Leane teased with a wink, "If anything I'm best suited. I'm the one who loves money and adventure and ships after all."
"Yeah, but you're also the pregnant one, so you're automatically disqualified 'cause you're labeled as taken," Jenny teased with a grin, "So that leaves just pretty little old me who's perfectly qualified on account of my cuteness and on account of my ability to navigate and look adorable in a pirate outfit," she added with a wicked smirk and wink. "True, very true," Leane laughed, "I fear that by the time I make it to a ship with Johnny you'll hardly be able to tell me apart from a walrus!" "More like a whale," Jenny coughed innocently as she took a bite of her ice-cream. |
"Aw I'm sure Lee will look great even if she is out to here." Matthew laughed as he set his plate aside and reached around Leane's waist to make a circle that was far to drastically big for a pregnancy.
"How many are you have, Matt? Six?" Ben laughed as he slapped down Matt's hand. "Maybe Lee will be one of those moms who gains no weight." Ben suggested. |
