Leane laughed, "I wish."
"But Lee, look at your metabolism now," Jenny said with a laugh, "You hardly gain a thing and look how much you eat!" "Very true.. I wish I could say the same for you though," Leane said with a wicked grin as she pinched Jenny's fleshy abdomen. "Hey!" Jenny said as she burst out laughing from the tickling, "I'm hardly a size bigger than you are you monstrosity!" "I may be a monstrosity, but I can fit into a size 5 Miss Size 6," Leane said with a laugh as she started poking Jenny's sides and tickling her. |
"Hey now this size six is all mine." Ben teased as he batted away Leane's hands and wrapped his arms around Jenny's waist. "Besides she fits perfectly." He smiled as he pulled Jenny towards him gently so that her back was flcush to his chest.
|
Jenny grinned as she arched her neck and placed a long, tender kiss upon Ben's lips, "Mmm, you got that right."
Leane laughed as she poked Ben's nose, "Spoiled sport." |
"Sore loser." Ben countered as he stuck out his tonuge before turning and giving Jenny's neck a small kiss.
|
"Pshh, I didn't lose. You interfered and merely ended the came ahead of schedule. I still one though," Leane said with grin as she took another slice of cake and took a bite.
"Oh, so we're playing the usual games of 'I Win' for your birthday?" Jenny said with a laugh as she leaned into Ben's kiss affectionately. "Would it be a Supton birthday without it?" Leane asked with a playful laugh. |
"What is this 'I Win' game?" Matthew asked curiously. "Is it where Lee just claims she wins everything and because its her birthday we have to agree with her?" He asked with a teasing tone.
"Ah, now that sounds like a fun game." Ben laughed. "Why haven't we ever thought of that?" |
"You hit it right on the nail," Jenny said with a laugh as she explained, "She got it from Josh. Josh used to play the trick on her nearly every time they played a game until she was old enough to realize that he really didn't win, but she did. So now, in honor of that, on Leane's or Josh's birthday we play the game of 'I Win'."
"And voila! Hence why I always win, no matter what," Leane said with a grin as she placed a tender kiss on Matt's lips. "Now do you see where I get the phrase 'I win!' from all the time?" she added with a teasing wink before eating a bite of cake and ice-cream. |
"Now its all explained." Matthew laughed as he tossed his arms in the air. "Well I guess for one day we can pretend to let you win for your sake." He teased Leane playfully.
"And that says alot coming from the most competitive kid I know." Ben laughed as he set his chin on Jenny's shoulder. |
Leane laughed, "Pshh - I always win when it comes to our darling Matthew. He tries to win, God love him, but he really does fail against my womanly charm," she added as she batted her eye lashes up at Matt.
"I think it's just bad lighting so he feels sorry for you," Jenny said with a wicked grin as she stole a finger full of icing from Leane's piece of cake. |
"Ha, I think I might agree with Jenny at this one." Ben teased with a smirk before looking over at Matt. "But if I know Matt like I think I do then I know he detests losing. Ever the poor sport in our video game tourneys." Ben laughed.
"Now why do you say these crazy lies. I happen to be a great sport." Matthew laughed though he knew he could be quite a pain when he lost something. |
Leane laughed as she took a bite of cake, "You two are just jealous because Matt lets me win and won't let you guys win. I have privileges being the girlfriend and not the friend," she added with a wink.
"And I'm sure the fact that if you lose you'll punish him by going for a day or two without kissing has nothing to do with it," Jenny teased with a wicked grin. "What can I say? My kisses are irresistible!" Leane said with a gleam in her eye before taking another bite of cake. |
"Well I guess Leane deserves to win sometimes since she does have to kiss someone has gross as Matt." Ben teased with a teasing wink at his friend.
|
Leane laughed, "Hey now, he's not that bad. I admit, I had to whip him into shape and get his kissing up to par, but he's made a vast recovery. Plus, I did clean him up pretty well, I think," Leane teased with a wink, "Now you, on the other hand, Jenny's still got a lot of work left with you."
|
"Hardly." Ben laughed as he held Jenny close. "I like to think that she loves me for the beauty that I am." Ben teased.
"Yes, you like to think that." Matt grinned at his friend. "No need to burst you're poor little bubble." |
"Yes, that would be a dreadfully cruel thing to do, wouldn't it," Jenny said with a teasing grin as she looked up at her boyfriend.
"Ha! See? Right from the horses mouth," Leane said with a grin and a wink. |
"Alas, can you hear the sound of my heart breaking?" Ben sighed dramatically, holding his hand over his heart for effect.
"Aw poor Ben." Matthew laughed at his friend's dramatics. |
Taking Ben's hand, Jenny placed a light kiss on it before looking up at Ben with batted eye lashes, "But at least I love you either way. Doesn't that count for something?"
|
"Maybe." Ben sighed through a large frown though he couldn't keep up his act for long before giving Jenny's forehead a small kiss. "Love you too." He murmured quietly before turning to his friends. "So are we going to be couch potatoes all day?" He asked curiously to Leane and Matt.
|
"Unless you know anything that can be done with a leg cast," Leane said with a laugh. "I think the only thing I'm good for is sitting. We could always go to the beach though?"
"That sounds fun. And it's just the right temperature to do it to! Want to head out there for the afternoon and then have dinner back here and watch a couple more movies?" Jenny suggested with a smile as she leaned back into Ben's frame. |
"Well I think its a brilliant idea." Ben perked up. "My complexion could use from vitamin D." He teased as he stood up from the couch and brought Jenny with him.
"We have beach towels in the first closet on your left down there." Matthew said to Ben and Jenny before working to stand, allowing Leane to lean on him as much as needed. "On it." Ben said, holding Jenny's hand as he started towards the hallway. |
"Can you grab my crutch from Matt's bedroom too?" Leane called as she leaned against Matt with her uncasted side, planning to use the crutch to support her casted leg like a cane.
"Sure thing Lee!" Jenny called as she followed Ben to get the towels and crutch. "Well, this should be interesting. How long do you think I'll make it in the sand before the crutch sinks too far in to be of any use?" Leane asked with a laugh as she looked up at Matt. "We really should clean this mess up first... I'd hate for your parents to come home and see it," Leane added with a frown. |
"You're right." Matthew sighed as he looked at the pile of post-frosting war napkins and scattered plates. "Do you want to sit back down and I can clear this up?" He offered, figuring both of his arms would get the job done sooner.
|
"Sure," Leane said with a laugh as she sat back down on the couch, feeling very much helpless. "Hey Jen," Leane called as she looked over at the approaching Jenny, "Feel like helping me in the bathroom?"
Jenny laughed as she walked over to Leane and handed her the crutch, "Sure." And with that, the two girls were off to the bathroom, laughing as they tried to maneuver Leane with the cast. |
Matthew gathered up all their trash into a small pile and dropped it into the nearby trash can before wandering into the kitchen to store the ice cream and cake. "Matt, I got the towels." Ben said as he walked into the kitchen, his arms filled with towels.
"Alright, do you want to drive separately or should we car pool?" Matthew wondered aloud as he finished putting the food away and closed the fridge. |
"Why don't we just carpool since we're coming back here anyways?" Jenny called as she and Leane hobbled over to the boys. "Jeeze, how don't know how to carry her all the time. She's heavy!"
Leane laughed as she gently pinched Jenny's cheek, "Ohhh you're just mad 'cause it shows how weak you really are." |
