"Hey now." Matthew said, forcing a smile through the pain in his stomach. "You promised not to blame yourself."

"And to be fair, Kurt started it." Ben shurgged, earning a withering look from Matthew. "Alright, that's my cue." He said, turning on his heel to leave.

"I wish I would've done something. I never got the chance. I just kind of got him mad. But Ben is right when he says that Kurt started it." Matthew shrugged, wincing immediately. "Don't be upset." He soothed. "You said you noticed me before the drawing. I've had worse. Its really not that big of a deal. I'll be sore for a few days then I'm fine." He laughed quietly, putting a kiss on Leane's forehead.

Wrapping her arms gently around his neck, Leane placed a tender kiss upon his lips, careful not to hit his nose, "But it is my fault. If I hadn't slapped him and talked to him, he wouldn't have went to you to get back at me.."

Placing a tender kiss upon his forehead, Leane whispered as she gently rested forehead upon his chest, "And I may have seen you beat up before.. but I didn't care as much then.. nor did I really pay much attention.. I don't like seeing you like this.." she whispered as her hands clutched the hem of his shirt, a tear falling down her cheek as she continued to beat herself up over it and blame herself, "And if I hadn't... you wouldn't.... I..."

"I'd better go.. and you'd better go to a doctor.. and if this doesn't make your parents hate me completely, your parents are Saints," she said softly, brushing the tears from her cheeks. Sighing, Leane picked up her stuff from the floor and rushed off to the courtyard for her art class.

"Leane." Matthew whispered softly, following after her but not nearly as quickly as he would've liked.

"Leane, don't make me run." Matthew sighed as he caught up with her in the courtyard. "This isn't your fault. If anyone's its mine. I could've walked away but I didn't. Please don't be upset." He said softly, carressing her cheek with her fingers.

Leane sighed as she set her things down beneath the tree. Turning to Matt, she wrapped her arms around his waist, careful not to touch the area he had been kicked, and hugged him close as she rested her forehead on his chest, "Matt.. don't ask me to not be upset and to not blame myself.. we both know the whole fight was over me, so therefore it's my fault. If I hadn't danced with Kurt, he would never had kissed me like he did, which would never have set you off or given him something to hold over you like he does.."

"Leane, you promised." Matthew soothed, pulling her closer. It hurt a bit to hold her this close but Matthew hardly noticed. "Kurt's an idiot." He mumbled into Leane's hair. "Don't let him upset you. He didn't have to take things this seriously but he did and that's his fault. Now please, don't be sad. So I'm a little bruised." He laughed with a shrug. "As long as you don't mind having a boyfriend who's nose is swelled and bruised then I don't have a problem with it." He laughed, bringing her chin up to give her a tender kiss. "You don't mind...right?" He added, a hint of worry in his eyes though he tried to cover it with teasing her.

"As long as said boyfriend is you? I don't care how wretched you look, just as long as I can keep you and say that your mine," she whispered against his lips before leaning into him as her hands slid around his neck. Tilting her head slightly, Leane deepened the kiss as her tongue slid gently between his lips to caress his own. "I love you, remember? No matter what happens, I'm afraid you're stuck with me 'cause that's not going to change. But I still hate seeing you this hurt.. When I see Kurt, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind.. Not only that, but if he does it again, the squad and I will make their football season a living hell."

Matthew returned her kisses eagerly, glad that Leane still wanted to be with him despite how horrible he looked. "Don't be upset with Kurt. I have you and that's what matters." Matthew soothed between kisses. "I hate that he's trying to come between us like this." He whispered, fighting back a wince as his nose brushed her's. "And that he's taking out his jealousy on my face." Matthew laughed.

"That's precisely why I'm upset with Kurt.. he had no right, nor reason, to do this to you.. All I did was piss him off more this morning.. which resulted in this," she added as she motioned his nose and his abdomen. Sighing, she looked up at him as she wiped her cheeks, "But please tell me you at least went to the nurse... if you went there and don't have anything broken, then I'll let it go this once, I promise. But if you're injured, I'm not going to stay on the sidelines and let it go by unnoticed."

"I promise." Matthew said, giving her forehead a kiss. "Nothing is broken. You shouldn't worry so much." He laughed quietly. "I'm just a little banged up. That's it." He said, putting an arm around her waist and leading her to her usual tree. "Aren't you suppose to be doing art work anyways?" He joked as he sat, leaning up against the trunk.

Leane rolled her eyes as she sat down beside him, resting her head upon his shoulder as she leaned against him, on the side that wasn't kicked of course. Getting out her sketch book and pencils, she set the book on his thigh and the pencils on the ground on the other side of him, still in hands reach. Beginning her coloring, Leane sighed, "Telling me not to worry is like telling me not to breathe. If you keep getting banged up like this my nerves will be completely shot in a week."

"What am I going to do with you?" Matthew joked, putting his arm around her shoulder. "Its unhealthy to worry so much." He mumbled, resting is head against the tree behind him and closed his eyes.

Leane shot him a sly grin as she placed a tender kiss upon his neck and whispered, "Love me, it's about all you can do 'cause you're not getting rid of me."

Placing one last kiss upon his neck, Leane returned to her previous position and went to work on the drawing once more, happy that it was almost finished, "So tell me, why don't you take art if you draw all the time?"

"Its more of a past time." Matthew said. "I like to draw but its nothing I'm passionate about." He explained. "I'm not sure what I want to be yet and I've been exploring my options, but art's just not it." Matthew shrugged. "Though I do enjoy my website design elective so maybe that'll turn into something. Are you going to be an artist or do you have other plans in mind?" He asked, his head still tilted upwards as he rested back against the tree.

Leane chuckled, "Of course not. I'm not nearly good enough. Like with you, it's more of a pass time and filler class. I'm sure my mother has other plans for my future. Being the only daughter, I don't exactly get many choices. I mean, sure, I get more of a choice than Josh, him having to take Dad's place and all.. But.. I don't know, if I don't marry someone they want me to marry, or at least study something they deem worthy, I'm afraid I'll have hell to pay. You're lucky, you get a choice of what you do, even if you don't have a lot of money."

Sighing, Leane continued as she finished the drawing, "That's what no one understands about people like me. We seem like we have all the choices in the world, but we really don't. For the guys, if they have father's like mine, their future decisions effect thousands, even millions, of lives all over the world. With us girls, we're expected to marry in our class. If we don't? We are expected to keep our status through being in large corporations or becoming models for top designers. Since Georjiano doesn't let anyone model his clothing but me, I fear that's what my mother has in mind for me. Which, I suppose it won't be that bad.. I mean, it will be Georjiano's collection..."

"Is that what you want to do?" Matthew asked, confused. He brought his head upwards to look down at Leane. "Do you want to model?" He asked, not waiting for her to answer. "Not that you're not beautiful but I'd figured that considering how smart you are that you'd be interested in something else. Your parent's money doesn't make or break you. If it did then us poor people wouldn't be able to do anything with our lives. Your parent's money is needed to follow your passion. If you want to do something then you should go for it head-on. If you're passionate about it then you'll do what it takes to get it, whether or not your parent's are willing to flip the bill."

Leane sighed, "It's not that simple.. I don't want to be in a corporation, I'm not cut out for business life so what choice do I have..."

Avoiding his eyes as she put her artbook down and picked up her calculus homework, using his thigh as a table once more, Leane reluctantly admitted with a blush, "I've never worked a day in my life, there's no way I could put myself through college.. I'm quite useless you know, which I hate very much to admit to you, but I am.."

"Do you think that being taken care of for most of your life is enough to stop you?" Matthew asked, on eof his eyebrows raised. "Because I don't see that happening. My parent's don't have enough money to pay my way through college. And its not stopping me. If I can pull my way through I'm positive you can to. There's no time like the present to get a job." Matthew shrugged. "You'll find something you're interested in eventually. You just have to try."

Leane sighed, "I suppose.. but who's going to hire a rich girl over someone who needs one? And besides, what do you have to worry for? You'll surely get scholarships if you apply for them! And another thing," she added with a devilish grin as she looked up at Matt, "I've already found something I'm interested in, haven't you noticed yet?"

"A business owner won't know of your income. And even so, a person who weighs a family income into giving a job isn't some one you'd want to walk for." Matthew said simply before his arm tightened around Leane's shoulder. "But I"m afraid loving me isn't going to pay your way through college." Matthew laughed, giving her nose a kiss.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she retorted, "It could, you know. Love's a powerful thing, maybe it'll get me through. And about these so called employers, do you honestly think they're not going to recognize the name Supton around here? That and my hair is a dead give-away."

"Maybe you should have more faith in yourself." Matthew suggested. "Employers hire people for work. As long as you're capable of doing the work there's really no reason they shouldn't hire you." He said, a few of his fingers twisting in to her hair.

Leane laughed, "How about I make a bet with you. You find me a diner or restaurant where they're hiring for waitresses around here, and I'll apply. If I get accepted and start working, I'll do whatever it is you want me to do, within reason of course. But if I get rejected, you have to have dinner over at my house and watch Clueless and Sixteen Candles with me."

"Whatever I want?" Matthew asked, wriggling his eyebrows teasingly. "You're on." He agreed, pulling Leane in for a tender kiss just as the bell rang around them.

Leane laughed as she placed another tender kiss upon his lips before gathering her things and helping Matt up off the ground, "Within reason, I said. But yes, I'll do whatever it is your heart desires if I can."

"Cool." Matthew laughed as he threw an arm around Leane's shoulders. "I've never had someone do anything I want. This will be a fun bet." He joked. "But why at a restaurant or diner? Are you interested in cooking?" He pondered, she had said that she was interested in something but she hadn't revealed what.
