"Oh... I didn't realize that was what happened.." Leane sighed as she put down her sketch and wrapped her arms around Matt's waist, resting her head on his chest as she spoke softly. "And think because of what happened with them... it's likely to happen to us too.. That's why you're so afraid to get too close.. I guess it's understandable.. I'm sorry I make it so difficult sometimes.."

"I don't blame you for being irresistable." Matthew teased as he traced the length of her arm with his fingers. "I'd just hate to lose you like that." He smiled, placing a kiss in her hair. "I love you, Leane." He said softly as he looked down at her.

Looking up at him, Leane smiled as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "I love you too. And I've promised you before, and I'll promise you again; you're never going to lose me no matter how hard you try. The only way you could shake me is if you cheat on me, which I hope never happens."

"I can't see that happening." Matthew smiled as he rested his chin in her hair. "You're the only one I want in my arms." He assured her as he placed a kiss in her hair. "You never need to worry about me cheating on you." He said softly.

Leane smiled as she snuggled closer to him, "I know, dearest. I'm very thankful you love me so much. I hope you realize that I'd never cheat on you either," she whispered as she looked down at the ground, "You do know I'd never do such a thing, right?"

Cupping Leane's chin, Matthew tilted her face upwards to meet her eyes. "I know, love." Matthew said. "Don't worry. I'm not doubting you." He smiled as he gave her a tender kiss.

Relief obviously showing on her face, Leane leaned against him and placed a tender kiss upon upon his lips. Shifting to sit on her knees, Leane rested her hand on his knee as she tilted his face towards his and placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "I'm so glad you don't doubt me.. I was.. I was afraid you'd doubt me and think just because I want to make love to you, and you won't, that I'd turn to someone else.. I.. I don't want you thinking I'm like all those other girls.. I.. I was afraid that you thought because my feelings got so strong so soon that I was lying just to have sex with you.. I-I'm not like that.. and, well.. I.. I just.. You get what I'm trying to say, right?" Leane sighed as she shut her mouth, thinking she'd rambled like an idiot enough for one class period.

"I know exactly what you mean." Matthew smiled as he gave her a small kiss. "I understand how you feel." He smiled as he gave her another small kiss. "And please don't think that I keep stopping us because I don't want to. But I just don't want what happened with Ben and Amber to happen to us." Matthew smiled.

"I know.. I don't want that to happen either.. I'd probably go stark raving mad if that happened to us.. I'd honestly miss you far too much," Leane said softly as she kissed his lips tenderly, "Besides, as long as we get to have time to ourselves like last night? It's okay that we don't make that home run. I'm perfectly satisfied just the way we are," she added with a smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck as her bottom pressed against the side of his thigh and her legs draped over his, her feet resting on the ground beside his other thigh. Tilting her head upwards Leane pulled Matt down for a long, tender kiss before she whispering between tender kisses, "As long as you're happy, I'm ecstatic."

"I'm perfectly happy." Matthew smiled against her lips as he pulled Leane closer against her just as the bell rang. Matthew laughed a sigh as he rested his forehead against Leane's. "Another great thing about last night." Matthew joked. "No bells." He sighed as he stood, bringing Leane to stand with him.

Leane laughed as she wrapped her arm around his waist after picking up her things, "Quite true, quite true. But at least we have our next class together and then we're free to be together at lunch. Not to mention we'll be able to watch Ben and Jenny more closely," she added with a wink as they neared the school.

"Someone's awful nosy." Matthew teased as he put an arm around her shoulder. "We'll know in time but Ben is pretty secretive so there's no guarantees." He smiled as they reached the school building and he opened the door for her.

"Again, you underestimate my detective abilities! With them, I learned that Kelly, a cheerleader, has a huge crush on Marc, a computer nerd. And that Marc, the same computer nerd that Kelly likes, has a crush on Kelly's best friend Maggie! But Maggie likes Kelly's current boyfriend Jared, and Jared is crushing on Maggie too! And the thing is? None of them know each others crushes."

Blushing, Leane looked at the floor with an embarrassed expression, "I know, I know. I get way too into the love lives of others.. It's a curse, really. But, it's what I get for hanging around Jo and Jen for fifteen years!" she added with a laugh as they neared her locker.

"Its not so bad." Matthew smiled before letting out a small laugh. "Maybe a little bad but its cute." He smiled as he led Leane to her locker and leaned against the locker next to Leane's.

Poking his chest lightly, Leane grinned as she opened her locker, "It's a good thing you don't mind my quirks, Sommers. I'm afraid if you did I'd be long gone by now."

Exchanging her art things for her History things, Leane closed her locker and wrapped her arm around Matt's waist. Leaning into him, her books lightly resting between their chests, Leane stood on her toes and placed a tender kiss upon Matt's lips before linking her fingers through his and leading him to his locker, where she in turn leaned against the locker next to his.

"I'm not going anywhere unless you want me to." Matthew smiled as he got his History books. "Ugh, History." Matthew sighed as he entwined Leane's fingers in his own. "At least that Miss Jordan is gone." He smiled as he led Leane towards the stairs leading to the History room.

Leane laughed as she lightly bumped her hip against his, "I rather liked her! She wasn't all that vile to me, though is pretty wretched to some. Any idea who's replacing her? It's still driving me crazy not knowing why she got fired.. I wonder if they'll say.."

"I doubt it." Matthew sighed. "But either way I'm glad she was. She always had it out for me." Matthew shrugged.

"Oh my God." A girl, who's name Matthew didn't know, whispered to her friend. "The new History teacher is so gorgeous." She whispered excitedly to her friend who agreed as they broke down into giggles.

"Great." Matthew sighed. "Competition." He teased, throwing Leane a wink.

"Mmm, gorgeous History Teacher huh. Looks like I may have a new crush," Leane teased as she unlinked her hand from Matt's and walked a few steps ahead of him as if she didn't know him.

Flashing laughing smile back at him, Leane stopped and reached out her hand for his, "I'm only teasing. You really shouldn't worry so much. Like I'd ever date a teacher. Especially when I have an amazing boyfriend like you."

"I hope so." Matthew smiled as he looped his arms around Leane's waist and pulled her down to his stair before giving her a tender kiss. "Well if you're with me and Jenny's with Ben then maybe Joanna can have the History teacher." Matthew teased as he led her towards the classroom.

"Now wouldn't that be interesting!" Leane laughed as they entered the room.

Taking her seat and noticing the teacher, Leane looked back at Matt with a teasing wink and mouthed, "On second thought, you may have competition after all!"

Matthew rolled his eyes playfully and shook his head at Leane before the teacher called the class to attention, either not noticing or choosing to ignore the girls in the class who were currently falling over their desks to look at him.

Leane couldn't help but laugh as the girls practically drooled over the new teacher. Trying to keep a straight face, Leane tried her best to pay attention to the introduction, but a few laughs escaped. Covering her mouth to try and stifle them more, Leane looked back at Matt as she moved her hand long enough to mouth, "They're going crazy over him! Sure, he's good looking, but honestly! He's much too old for them!"

Matthew smiled as he quickly realized that Leane was the only girl who was drooling over the new teacher.

"I understand your last teacher was just starting the Civil War." Mr. Jones said as he turned to the board and started to write the notes across it. "So I'm going to pick up where she left off." He said with a smile as he turned to the class, his smiled quickly turning nervous as he realized all the looks from the girls in the class.

This is going to be a long class... Matthew pondered as he turned his attention to his book.

Spending the class trying not to laugh, Leane managed to get her notes down, even if they were a bit hen-scratched at times from her laughing. Right when she got herself under control, one of the girls would whisper something or start to space out and drool, and cause her to start all over again.

'Honestly, these girls are being so ridiculous! Even Jo and Jen are a part of it!' thought Leane as the bell rang and she started packing up her things, finally allowing herself to laugh out loud.
