"I like to listen to guitar alot. I can't play to save my life but I like the sound of it." Ben smiled shyly. "I have so many CDs that Matt, Jack, and Gena always make fun of how much guitar CDs I have. They think I should know how to play now just because I've listened to it so much." He laughed.

Matthew laughed as he opened the bookstore door for her. "I truly can't believe how completely wrong I was about you." Matt said, shaking his head. "How could I have possibly thought that you were a stereotypical cheerleader. I must have been blind." Matthew sighed.

Jenny smiled, "Mm, I know what you mean. I've tried playing the piano by ear, but it's not as easy as it looks. Leane's a lot better at that than me. She can't read music to save her life, but she can play a few songs by ear."

Leane blushed, "Matt.. how were you to know I was different than the others? Look at how I treated you all these years... Why would you even bother seeing how I truly was?"

"I can't read music or go by ear." Ben shrugged. "I tried once but it never worked out and no one taught me. But I'm happy with just listening to it." He smiled.

"Because my name got drawn and I realized how amazing you truly are." Matthew laughed as he gave Leane's temple a soft kiss.

Jenny smiled as she led Ben over to the fountain and sat down upon it's edge. Looking up at him, she offered softly, "I could teach you to read music, if you wanted?"

Lightly bumping her hip against his, Leane smiled, "I may still shock you yet, dearest." Leading him over to the counter, she exchanged a few words with the shop keeper before being led around to the storeroom in the back. There she was led to a couple of crates full of old books to go through.

"Thanks Simon," said Leane with a smile as she sat down on the floor in front of the first crate.

"You're welcome Lee. If you find anything or if it's no what you're looking for, let me know," said the middle-aged man with a smile.

"Sure thing," said Leane as she started going through the books and Simon exited the store room back into the shop to check people out.

Ben took a seat beside Jenny, entwining thier fingers. "I'd love that." He said happily. "I've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument. What can you play, besides piano?"

Matthew sat beside Leane, gazing over at the covers. "Maybe you're not so far from who I thought you were." Matt teased lightly. "Considering you have go to a special back room to get your books." He laughed.

"The violin and the chello," said Jenny with a blush, "Pretty geeky huh. But reading music is the same for all instruments. You just have to learn which string is what, and you can learn those from books. I'm sure I can get Lee to pick a couple up from the bookshop she goes to if you'd like."

Leane laughed, "What can I say? I like old books. I'm trying to find a book by Hanna Marie Jones called Rosaline Woodbridge, also known as The Midnight Visit, A Romantic Tale. I've been trying to get a first edition of it.. but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I find books close to the first year it was published, but never the exact year. There are very few in circulation, so it's hard to find and I have a lot of books to go through. Simon said he'd bring them in for me, but I'd have to pay for all shipping costs. You see, he knows dealers who sell old books. They sell by the crates, but don't specify what books are in which crates. They do promise not to send the same crates twice, however. Pretty stupid for me to spend all this money looking for a silly book.. huh."

"I don't think its geeky." Ben encouraged. "But I'd like for you to be my personal tutor." He laughed. "Again with the creepy. I guess today just isn't my day." He joked, shaking his head.

"No I like that you would rather spend your riches on books then at the mall." Matthew smiled, kissing Leane's temple before turning to face the crates. "What year is the first edition from?" Matthew asked as he searched through the crates.

Jenny shook her head and placed a tender kiss upon her lips. "Not at all," she assured him, "And if it is, well, I like your creepy then. Besides, I'd like to be your personal tutor," she teased as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze, "It'll be my way of saying I'm sorry for kissing you so much and so soon."

"1827," said Leane as she continued to dig through the crate, creating stacks of books around her. "And it should say first edition in the beginning of the book," she added as an after thought as she looked over at Matt, "Thank you for helping me."

"As if you need to apologize." Ben smiled up at her, cupping her face in his palm and giving her a tender kiss. "There. Now we're even." He winked.

"What are boyfriends for?" Matthew joked as he shifted through the books in the crates. "There's so many books." He laughed as he moved books aside in his search for the first editon. Seeing the book Leane wanted, Matthew flipped to the front of the book only to see that it wasn't the edition he wanted. Setting it aside, Matthew continued to dig through the crates.

Jenny blushed, "I-I-I thought you'd be angry and wouldn't want to kiss me so soon.. I'm really glad you do though," she admitted softly as she looked up at him.

Finishing the crate and not finding the book, Leane moved onto another, "I know.. I buy as many as I can afford at once in hopes of it being that last crate I bought that will have the book in it. I'd hate to have bought less when I could have afforded more and have it be in that last box I could have afforded. I'd kick myself to Timbuktu if that happened," Leane added with a laugh as she searched through the books, "And just think, once we see if the first edition is in here, I get to search for other books I might want."

"I think you're insane for doubting yourself." Ben smiled warmly, placing a kiss on her nose before turning away. "Its beautiful here." Ben commented. "I haven't been to the park alot lately. Normally we all just hang out in my or Jack's basement." Ben shrugged.

"Always a plus." Matthew laughed with her as he found the bottom of his crate. Replacing the books as he'd found them, Matthew moved on to another crate and began searching for the book again. "What kind of books do you normally find in here? Considering their so old, they'll most likely romance from the victorian era." He guessed.

Jenny smiled as she slid closer to him and rested her head upon his shoulder, "I'm always spending my time here or at Lee's. Lee likes to come here and sketch the flowers and fountain. You should come with us, it'll be fun having someone to talk to while Lee's drawing. Jo never comes because she's allergic to the flowers."

"Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, Sense and Sensibility; romance novels like that," Leane said with a laugh, "So yes, they're mainly romance novels from the 1800s and 1900s. Old English and everything," Leane added happily.

Ben smiled as he rested his head on top of Jenny's. "Do you think Leane would mind?" Ben asked. "I'd love to come if she's alright with it." He said.

"I figured as much." Matthew laughed as he finished looking through the second crate and moved on to his third. "I don't read any victorian novels. I'm not one for the classics." Matthew shrugged. "I like science fiction best." He explained.

"I don't think she'd mind too much. It'll give me something to do while she draws. Besides, she's been hoping I'd admit my feelings for you for awhile now," she added with a soft laugh as she traced small designs on the back of his hand.

Leane crinkled her nose and stuck out her tongue, "Bleck. Science fiction are no fun. The classics are much better. Have you even tried reading a novel by Jane Austen?"

"Well I'm glad you did." Ben laughed. "Even if you had to yell at me. I think it was worth it." Ben teased.

"Yes." Matthew said with a sly smile. "I was having trouble sleeping and it did the trick. Its better then cough medicine." Matthew teased, flashing Leane a smile before bending over into the crate.

"Hey, Lee. Did you say the year was 1827?" Matthew asked, holding up a copy of Rosaline Woodbridge.

Jenny blushed as she whispered, "But was it worth it for you and your friends to get beat up in the hall?"

Placing another book back into the crate, Leane nodded, "Yeah, 1827." Looking over at him, Leane noticed the book and his smile. Her eyes growing wide as a grin spread across, Leane stopped what she was doing and whispered, "Oh Matt... you found it?"

"We'd get beat up anyways. Just usually its not in the hall. Usually they wait until we're in the locker room." Ben shrugged as he rubbed his thumb against the top of Jenny's hand.

"Guess I'm you're lucky charm." Matt teased as he flipped open the cover to reveal the first edition stamp on the inside.

Jenny sighed, "Well, I guess I know how Lee feels when Matt gets into a fight.. Promise me you won't fight for me again? It's not worth getting punched over, really.. I'm used to it. Just like Lee's used to the snide remarks from the lower people, I'm used to them from the jocks. Kurt and John have been doing it to me since Sophomore year.."

Stepping over the piles of books, Leane threw her arms around his neck and sat on his lap. Placing a long, deep, tender kiss upon his lips, her tongue slipping between his lips to caress his tongue, Leane held him tight. "I love you, I love you, I love you!" she exclaimed happily as she continued to kiss him passionately.

"The lower people?" Ben asked, raising his head as he looked Jenny curiously.

"I should find your books more often." Matthew smiled as he returned her kisses eagerly, placing the book in her lap and wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Freshman girls, girls who didn't make the cheer-squad and blame Lee, the girlfriends of the Jocks who are in love with Lee, the jocks who've been rejected by Lee and hate the fact that they're still attracted to her - basically everyone who hates Leane for being a Supton and for being beautiful, smart, a gymnast, and a cheerleader - those sorts," Jenny explained.

Leane laughed softly as she placed a tender kiss upon his forehead before resting her forehead against his. "You don't realize how long I've searched for that book.. I've searched for four years.. And to have you find it.. It means a lot to me," she whispered before resuming kissing him, "I love you."

Leaning back a bit, Leane grinned, "You do realize I'm going to make you read this with me, right?"

"Oh." Ben said, his brow furrowed as he rested his head back against Jenny's. I'm just being paranoid... He told himself though it did seem almost to good to be true that one of the cheerleaders would even consider dating him.

Matthew tried to fight back a groan at what Leane said. "Can you just go back to kissing me instead?" He asked, trying to pass off the idea as a joke. He wasn't fond of victorian love stories and as much as he loved Leane, he didn't see it changing.

Looking up at him, Jenny reached up and caressed his cheek as she whispered, "Y-you.. you didn't think I.. meant you did you?"

Smiling at him, Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she placed a light kiss on his lips, "I think I could manage that. I was only teasing anyways," she added with a small laugh as she set the book down and shifted so that she had one leg on each side of Matt. Sitting on his lap, Leane wrapped her legs around his waist and leaned into him as she resumed kissing him. "Thank you for finding it," she whispered softly against his lips between kisses.

"I guess I'm just paranoid." Ben sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just not really use to popular girls being interested in me." He laughed once.

Matthew grinned as Leane kissed him, pulling his arms tighter around her as he kissed her softly. "Anytime, love." He whispered softly.

Jenny sighed as she pressed her lips gently against his, "I'm not all that popular. If it weren't for Lee... I'd be like any other girl who slept with a Jock... Please, don't think I'm insincere in my feelings for you.. I really am interested, and I really do adore you.. Please don't doubt me.."

A soft moan escaped Leane's lips as Matt held her tighter. Returning his kisses, Leane's hand slid into his hair while the other slid to his chest and clutched his shirt, pulling him closer to her.

"I don't. I just get paranoid sometimes." Ben assured her. "I'm awfully used to relationships messed up and its just getting to my head." He admitted shyly.

Matthew felt his willpower shaking as he heard Leane's moan. Parting her lips with his tongue, Matthew deepened their kiss as one of his hands gripped her thigh while the other held softly to the back of her neck.
