It was obvious Kyle was uncomfortable. At the same time, after hearing and seeing his eyes Manon was pretty sure nothing could shock her anymore. "Please tell me the truth. I already know about your eyes, I can't see how this could be worse or how anything could be more shocking...." A hint of hesitancy entered Manon's demeanor. Sighing, she moved closer to Kyle, pressing herself against him. It was comfort she sought, though she may not have known it. "And I guess I should give you back Iris, he, umm she, well it's your cat." Blowing some stray hair out of her face, Manon tried to think of how he would react to all of her words.
|
Kyle lowered his head, letting his hair to hide the rest of his face that the black leather strap didn't hide. "It can be much worse. . . " He said lowly, then blushed when he felt her warm body against his. He hesiantly moved his arms around Manon and sighed lightly. "It's too soon to talk about that." He said, then stepped away from her and smiled lightly. "Iris is . . . your cat too." He said.
|
Silently, Manon conceded to the point he made. The day had been eventful enough as it was. Adding to that was a dragging fatigue which slowly crept into every limb. There was also a warmth from the brief few moments Kyle had wrapped his arms around the young woman. Lifting her head in surprise at his last words, Manon let out a small laugh. "But you'll need Iris to get around and find a spot to sleep won't you?" The young woman was delighted of course. Instinctively, Manon knew that Iris was very important to Kyle.
|
Kyle laughed awkwardly and couldn't see how stupid he was acting, because all he could see was the bottom side of Manon's face. "Yeah, you're right. If I was by myself I'd probably end up laying infront of a car again or something." Kyle gingerly reached out and found Manon's hand, then smiled. "Hope you get a good rest."
Iris looked over from the girl to the black leather wrapped boy and purred loudly in amusement. Suddenly, it slipped from Manon's arms and onto the ground at their feet. Catching, Kyle by surprise by the sudden rush of blurred vision made him go off balance off his feet and about tipped over. |
Smiling, the young woman found herself wondering where exactly this was going to lead. Dark secrets lurked beneath this young man's cheerful exterior. What had been said before was obviously only the beginning. Still, it was enough for Manon to know that she wanted to find everything else out. It would wait until the next morning. For now she settled herself as close to Kyle as possible as she took a few steps forward.
A small yelp left her lisp as the cat leaped to the ground unexpectedly. Manon quickly extended a hand to steady Kyle and watched Iris's strange behavior. It was simply sitting there, staring at them and then moving it's eyes to another point. Across from the hotel was a well kept building with a fairy tale quality to it. *"Why is Iris acting liek that? Just staring at that building?" ((I'm at university now, so I can't answer very much, or very often)) |
((I'm sorry, I haven't had internet at home, and I've been stuck with writer's block, and derp da derp da durp. -_- ))
"Thanks," Kyle said when he felt Manon help steady him, then found himself staring at a building with plants overgrowning it. "What is it, Iris? Want to sleep there?" He asked. |
((I'm very busy with university, so replies are going to be few and far between. Though I am still interested in the RP))
"It's no trouble at all. I'm just glad I was there to catch you." The young woman smiled. Turning to look at the building she nodded to herself. If Kyle had to sleep away from the hotel, at least it would be in a place not so far away and relatively safe. Manon almost felt like sleeping there herself. Sadly that wasn't the case. "In that case, goodnight Kyle. I'll see you tomorrow morning." Planting a kiss upon his lips, the young woman waved goodbye then ran into the hotel to grab the second key to room 13. Serenade was already curled up in bed by the time Manon sneaked in. The day had been a tiring one for her. |
Kyle smiled warmly at Manon, then blushed heavily from the kiss. He chest felt light, still not able to believe she was still so accepting of him, even if she still doesn't know the half of it. He grinned a little awkwardly after he as she left. "Good night," He said softly, a little bubbly though she probably couldn't hear him from here.
Iris brushed it's back against Kyle's leg to get his attention, since he was too distracted to pay much attention to their vision. "I'm coming," He said, and reached down to pick Iris up and started for the building that the cat had kept staring at. Kyle had forgotten about the blanket thing. |
With a yawn Serenade grumbled a bit before leaping out of bed and regarding her still sleeping roomate with a mischievous grin. Moving towards Manon the dark haired woman grabbed the blankets and whipped them off with a laugh. "Time to rise an shine! We get up early in the circus!" With that said, she went to pull on her work clothes with efficient ease.
Once dressed in a black blouse and a sweeping checkered black and white skirt the woman left quickly. It was time for breakfast. The room it was hosted in was crowded with people from the circus. Serenade thought she noticed the ringmaster, but decided against calling out in case she was wrong. With a yelp of dismay Manon stared after Serenade with indignation. This was something she'd thought to have escaped after leaving home. This type of wake up call wasn't exactly new for the young woman. Shaking her head she pulled on jeans and a t-shirt then followed Serenade to a point. Once they were near the entrance, she stepped outside to try and find Kyle and Iris. It was really quite surprising, the way she cared for him so much already after such a truly short time. |
The Ringmaster was running up and down the halls, with the habitual hold on his hat as he made sure that the usual sleep inners are actually getting up. He even had to dodge a set of knives that where thrown at him. He didn't really mind though, he wasn't used to it, but he expected it and enjoyed the little chaoticness that the circus members had. One of the many reasons that he started this circus up.
The blue haired man then walked through the crowded room, greeting persons as he went. The Ringmaster chatted here and there then started to go outside. He was going to check on Kyle, but stopped with a smile at Manon when he saw her. "Good morning, Miss Manon. Sleep well?" He inquired. |
Blushing a little at being greeted like this, Manon nodded mutely. "Yes though, Serenade really does know how to wake someone up! Hmm, I can go get Kyle I saw him heading towards a building yesterday so I know where he is. " Motioning towards the place in question with her hands the young woman tilted her head to the side. Maybe she should have grabbed some food to bring with her, but it was a little too late for that now. So instead she kept staring into the distance as if she could find Kyle by simply doing that.
Serenade munched on a croissant absentmindedly as her eyes travdeled trough the room. She was walking around in hoped of finding the ringmaster, but so far had no luck. Sometimes he forgot to grab something to eat. It wasn't unusual when you were as busy as he was! The woman actually felt a little silly walking around with a plate pilled full of things till she noticed a familiar hat trough one of the windows. With a smile she walked out and wordlessly extended the plate of food to the Ringmaster. |
"Yes, she does have her ways. I haven't seen one fail yet either." The Ringmaster laughed, then gentle patted Manon on the head. "Tell, Kyle good morning for me will you?" He said. He then noticed a plate suddenly appear before him so he followed the hand and discovered Serenade. "Oh, good morning! This for me? Thank you very much." He said accepting the plate. He then realized how hungry he was. 'I should really eat more often.' He thought. He soon had his attention focused on the circus member. "How was your night?"
|
Smiling, the young woman walked away after waving goodbye to the Ringmaster and Serenade. It wasn't such a long walk from the hotel to the derelict building. It had such a strange and creepy atmosphere... Manon had no idea where to begin her search for Kyle. Entering was a feat in itself for her, who hated horror movies. The thought brought her up a little short as she remembered Kyle's eyes, or lack of them. It was a little ironic, how much she cared for him when put up against the small tid bit. "Kyle, are you awake? Where are you?"
The dark haired woman watched the Ringmaster carefully to make sure he was eating before responding. "Quiet, but lonely. I scare guys away without even trying," joked the blue eyed woman. Playfully snapping up the Ringmaster's hat she tried to gauge his reaction. Serenade didn't know her crush all that well, even if they traveled together. It was just one of the peculiarities of the circus experience, were one would expect to know everything about everyone else in the troupe. |
As far into the building that Iris and Kyle could go, it was surprisingly warm because there were no drafts. On a pile of random cloths, such as blankets, Kyle and the cat were curled up still sleeping heavily. Because it was nice and warm, it was a bit too warm for once to sleep with the leather outfit on, so it was hung out carefully on a piece to the side to air out. Kyle wore boxers, and was partially covered by the cloths. Most of his body though was very visible. His skin was incrediably pale and his entire body was covered in deep scars and gouges, except the majority of his back. His hair covered his lack of eyes.
Iris heard something and opened it's human eyes. Kyle could see, but he was still asleep. It saw a shadow struggle over messes. It meowed loudly to tell her of where they were, so she wouldn't continue to stumble about and get herself hurt. Ringmaster ate a bit, but not very much. He chuckled as Serenade joked and made a sound of startlement when the hat was snapped. His hand had shot up, almost dropping the plate and grabbed a hold of it, as if he'd fear he'd lose it. His face reddened slightly in embarrassment at the reaction. He couldn't help it, it was reflex. "Miss Serenade." He laughed awkwardly, mainly at himself. |
A familiar sound reached the young woman's ears. With a sigh of relief Meredith headed towards Iris's meowing. It took a while to find a way trough the maze of things lying around but in the end she managed. the sight that met her eyes made Meredith gasp in shock. For someone who wasn't used to seeing scars, and even for someone who was, Kyle's ravaged form was frightening. Kneeling quietly by the young man's form she smoothed one hand over a particularly nasty looking batch of scars and gouges with a horrified grimace on her face. "I can't imagine why anyone would do this," murmured the young woman more to herself then anyone else. Meredith's expression softened as her eyes moved to Kyle's face and she smoothed away his hair. Of course the lack of eyes startled her, but she recovered more quickly this time and simple leaned forward to place a kiss upon his forehead.
The young woman tugged at the hat in question, still trying to get a hold of it. "I'm only letting go if you tell me your name dear Ringmaster." Leaning forward she glanced at the food which littered the ground now and tskd while shaking her head. "And look at all the food you've wasted!" Smiling with a twinkle in her blue eyes, Serenade tried to hide how nervous she was. This was the most she'd said to the Ringmaster in quite a long while, if ever. |
At the touches, Kyle shivered a bit because the scars and gouges were either very sensitive or completely without feeling. He continued to sleep, though his shifted slightly, his cheeks turning a faint pink at the kiss. Iris was watching to Kyle could see, but his mind made it a haze of dreamland. He groaned slightly though and paled when he was able to see what his own body looked like and that dream Manon had seen it. "Don't. . ." He mumbled in his sleep, "Don't . . . look. . . "
|
It was hard to believe that he was still sleeping. Biting her lower lip Meredith moved both hands from Kyle's arms to his chest and leaned forward to kiss him softly. "Come on Kyle wake up," murmured the young woman. Placing her head under the young man's chin Meredith tried to curl up against him. Seeing all those scars had scared her a little, and she wanted to know the story behind them. But more then anything else, Manon wanted to make sure Kyle knew it didn't matter to her.
|
Kyle was still stuck in dreamland until he actually felt something warm press against him. It was then that Iris decided to meow in the certain way that told Kyle that what he was seeing wasn't a part of a dream. Suddenly the haze of sleep vanished with the sudden clarity of reality. He actually jumped in alarm and moved away from Manon and was quick to hide himself under the scavenged blankets. He couldn't believe that she had seen what his body looked like, it was embarrassing and horrifying. "M-Manon. What are you doing here?" He asked from under the cloths.
|
Hurt flitted trough her heart at the way Kyle hid himself away from her. It wasn't like she had done anything wrong... Face falling, the young woman tugged sharply upon the blankets in an attempt to see Kyle. Frankly she was a little angry. "I came here to wake you up, but apparently I wasn't supposed to do that. Sorry for inconvenience, I'll be leaving now. " Patting Iris absentmindedly before standing, Manon sighed. She didn't like being angry, but it seemed like Kyle was hiding so much from her. Add his reaction to her being there into the mix, and the young woman couldn't help but have anger churning trough her.
|
Kyle kept a death grip on the blankets even though he could hear them tearing at the stress on them. He felt his heart get torn at the sound of her hurt and anger at him. When she stood to leave, Kyle kept hold of a blanket and reached out to grab her hand and by a miracle he found it. "Please, You misunderstand." He said from under the blankets, only his scarred arm was visible. "I just didn't want you to see what I've done to myself." He said quickly without thinking it through. The second when the words left his mouth, he cursed himself at his mistake.
|
Heart softening, Manon turned around while gripping Kyle's hand. Hurt for him filled her heart upon hearing that he had done this to himself. The young woman couldn't imagine why anyone so kind as Kyle would ever do this to himself. Taking his eyes, ripping himself up... The young woman began placing gentle kisses upon each scar of his arm until the blankets stopped her going any further. A little frustrated she tugged them roughly aside until she could see Kyle's face. "Kyle, try and understand that ... Impossible as it might sound, I love you. As you are, right now and without question. " Turning her head away Manon tried to hide the tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
|
Kyle's cheeks blush brighter with each kiss, well the ones he could feel, and flinched when the blanket was pulled again. Because he had only one hand on the blanket he couldn't stay hidden. He felt moisture build up in his lack of eyes and bloody tears ran down his cheeks when he smelt the salt of her tears. When she turned away he could see it because Iris sat behind her. He sat up and a little awkwardly reached out to her and embraced her, the blanket slipping from his body, exposing him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." Kyle said softly, then carefully found her cheek and wiped her tears away. "Please don't cry, Manon. Please don't cry."
|
The young woman tried not to show how the sight of blood running from those holes upset her, though she knew it showed. As Kyle apologized and whipped the tears from her face Manon closed her eyes and placed her arms around him. Hugging the young man tightly to herself the young woman let out a deep breath as she calmed herself. Too many emotions were running rampant. "I just need to calm down a bit, that's all." Once a few more moments had passed she pulled away and began gently touching each visible scar and depression softly. At first her hands trembled, but each touch was surer and more loving then the last. " There's no hiding that what you look like, and why... It bothers me, but I do love you Kyle. So, just bear with me please while I get used to you?" Turning her head she found Iris and could only hope the cat looked up at her face so Kyle could see she was sincere.
(( Are we writing anything else about Ringmaster and Serenade?)) |
(I'm sorry, but I wanted to focus on Kyle and Manon so I could keep to the emotions and his way of thinking better. ^^; )
Kyle smiled awkwardly his face still red, though in relief, his head tilted downward a bit as a blind boy would. Thankfully, Iris decided to be nice and move from where it was sitting to stand below them and look up. He almost started to cry more heavily, in happiness of her willingness to accept him. He also couldn't believe the emotional wreck he was right now. He reached up carefully and felt for her lips. "Please close your eyes for a moment." |
Obediently Manon closed her eyes. A soft sigh left her as she felt his hands on her face again. The young woman knew she could get used to the tentative, and loving, touches. Turning her face a little so she faced Kyle, Manon leaned a little closer to him. Oh this would be hard! No question about it, but it seemed like anything was possible with Kyle. When she couldn't see anything all Manon could think of was how wonderful the young man was, though he did have the infuriating fault of keeping things to himself. That she could deal with, losing him on the other hand..
((Fair enough. :D )) |
