Josh smiled. "Ok" He held her hand and lead them downstairs and outside. He held her hand all the way to the school, they got a few stares and he knew rumors had spread. once they reached school grounds it was as if ever student, and teacher, froze and watched as the two hold hands, walking together. Once they went inside the school everyone started talking and whispering to each other, and soon chris stepped in front of josh and maridawn, a group formed around chris as to see what he is gonna say.

Maridawn didn't mind holding hands with Josh or even the stares anymore. She loves Josh and that's all that mattered to her. As Long as she was happy. Once at school she just smiled holding onto his hand slightly tighter. Though When Chris was there as was his little group she knew what was to come. Maridawn slightly glared at him but this time she didn't fully explode like she did the other day in front of Josh when she spoke to chris. She kept her cool this time keeping her tempter down for the baby's sake.

Josh sighed, "What" He said to chris. Chris gave a evil grin. "Ya know, I knew you were a freak Josh but wow...I never thought you do this to me..you know how much she hurt me, we had never had sex and when she said she was prego, i knew she was a cheating whore, and guess who the man was, my best friend, my BEST FRIEND screwed her, knocked her up, and sent her my way, now that I dumped her she comes back to you, so now that its public, you look like the good guy, why me? im heart broken, and no look like a jerk, when it was all your fault, you bastard!" Chris threw a punch at josh, hitting him in the jaw, josh moved back "what? thats all a lie! I never even knew about her until the other day! YOUR the one who knocked her up and then dumped her like she was nothing but trash!

Josh punched chris in the face, then kicked him in the buts and gut. "Your a piece of shit, chris, thats what you are" JOsh spat in his face, chris pushed josh away, then kicked him in the groin, josh went down and a few of his friends pinned josh down while they kicked him, hit him, spat on him.

"Your such a liar Christopher." She said using his full name. "You never gave a damn about me."
Maridawn's eyes widened when Josh was getting hurt. She couldn't handle them hurting Josh. She pushed chris's friends off of Josh helping him up. "Chris your nothing but a liar. You used me. You purposely got me drunk that night just so you could finally have your way with me. Then when it got serious you dropped me so fast as if i was some disease. I've never even slept with anyone else but you Chris. Your the one who got me knocked up and left me to die." she said glaring at Chris. "Why don't you just drop the good guy act. Its obvious your the bad one here. Especially since your the abusive type since whenever i didn't do what you said you abused me." She said to Chris.

She looked over to Chris. "Do you want to go to the infirmary? are you hurt?" she asked worriedly. Maridawn was very concerned for Chris. She hated Chris so much. Why was he lying that Josh hurt Chris. Chris never cared about her.

Cris laughed. "Right, crazy bitch" He said and him and the group of kids left, josh was knocked out from the impact of the damage donw to his face and his head, his face was turning into a purple/blue black, his nose and mouth were bleeding. And his jaw was dislocated, as well as his right was bent in an odd shape. Josh was barley breathing.

Maridawn helped Josh up and to the infirmary. While the nurse tended to his injuries Maridawn stayed by his side the whole time. When he did wake up she was still next to him though she fell asleep next to him. She was holding onto his hand with her head rested on his chest.

Everything hurt really bad, his eyes would not open, but he could here things from time to time, he tried moving and he could not, it was hard to breathe and he he was scared, he couldn't breath! He fell like he was gonna fall, and when he did..nothing hurt anymore.

When she woke from her nap she frowned. "i will hurt Chris for doing this to you. He wont get away for hurting the man i love. I know the baby loves you a lot and I will take Chris down for this." She said in a serious tone. She wanted Josh to open his eyes so bad. She missed seeing him smile.

Josh didnt want to wake up...he was in a nice place where nothing hurt. He felt pain from time to time though, and that mad him sad. He didnt know where he was. What happened...who..who was he? He then opened his eyes breathing heavily but not getting much. He couldn't open one eye all the way, it hurt and felt swollen. He looked at Maridawn, "Whats...going on? where am I????" He said looking around.

"Your in the infirmary." she told him. She was not just going to let this go. She would go after Chris after she knew Josh was Safe and sound. "I think it might be best if i take you to the hospital Josh you don't look so well and the doctors would probably know what to do more then the nurses here at the school do." She explained to Josh stroking his hair a bit.

Josh nodded. "Right...well Um thanks?" He said not really knowing who this girl was, he felt like he knew her, but...he was unsure. "Sounds ok...I hurt everywhere..I cant really breath,.." He said, soon He felt a heavy weight and he fell back down, closing his eyes....Who am i? She called me 'josh' must be my name...he thought.

"Are you okay Josh..you seem very confused. The doctors should check if you have a concussion. It would be sad if you did forget your girlfriend after all." Maridawn told him. She hoped Josh was okay. He seemed very confused. She assumed it was because of the damage he took from Chris and his gang when they beat him up. She opened her phone dialing 911 for the ambulance to arrive to put Josh on a stretcher and be taken to the hospital.

His girl friend? He had a girl friend? He didn't know anything and he is very confused. When the ambulance came and they put him on a stretcher he felt massive pain run through his body. It was so hard to breath. "I...I don't wanna be alone!! " he screamed not sure if anyone heard him or not. What happened to him? Why did he feel so sad?

"I'm right here." Maridawn told him holding his hand. She was allowed in since she was his girlfriend. She held onto his hand tightly making sure he was alright. She didn't want to be away from him anyways. If there was serious damage to Josh, she would make Chris pay somehow. She may be pregnant but she was not stupid.

Josh squeezed maridawns hand. He hurt so bad! Why? When they got to the hospital they took him to urgent care. They told maridawn she needed to wait outside for now. Josh cried out "no!! " as they brought him the the room they cut his clothes off and looked at his beaten broken body. A few hours passed and a doctor came out to speak with maridawn. "Its bad. He has massive head trauma ...he has internal bleeding in his head aswell...as some broken rib's ...one has punctured his lungs...he may or may not get his memory back. He is very scared and confused. We cannot contact his mother ...so would you like to see him? He's asleep now and he has surgery tomorrow ...but...he could ...die from it." The doctor said he was so sorry and lead her to Josh's room where he was asleep. His face looked awful. And hus body was bruised everywhere.

Maridawn listened and just nodded. She showed on the outside that she was strong but on the inside she felt like crying. She finally found someone she loved and he wont even be able to remember her. She walked to Josh's room frowning. Josh looked horrible. Maridawn sat in a chair next to his bed. Why does everything good in her life have to go away as soon as she realizes what she wants. Maridawn was quiet. She didn't know what to say nor do. His mother would definitely blame her for this and wont let him see her ever again. She probably was going to have to move out. But where would she go next? Would she have to go to hotel to hotel?

Josh managed to open his eyes. He smiled "I knew you would be here maridawn " he said weakly. Everything hurt but he needed to talk to her he felt her presence and it seemed to give him life."I know your face. I know you I may not remember right now but you need to know. I love you. " he said closing his eye's he will fight this. He opened his eyes again and tears fell. "Your so beautiful and I know I love you but...what happened? Why am I like this why can't I remember who I am? " he said crying now.

She listened to him but didn't know what to say. "You can't love someone you can't remember. There is a one in a million chance you will remember. But most of the time patients in your condition never remember. Your in here because of my ex boyfriend. I think he became jealous of you. Maybe I will just give him what he wants. Then all of this will be over and done with." Maridawn said taking her phone out finding Chris' number. She knew he probably did this to Josh out of jealousy. Maybe Chris still liked Maridawn after all. "You and me live together but not for long. I will have to move out once your mother hears about your condition."

Josh tried sitting up. "What? No I know you I do. I just don't remember who I am or anything else...please don't give up on me " he said still crying. Then he looked at her. "Unless you wish to leave me...I guess you can't love me if I'm like this. Fine then just go but know you did this and you ripped my heart out just know. I'm done talking. " he said laying down. He was hurt. He knew her but because of his conditions she seemed to wanna leave. Whoever this Chris ex boyfriend of hers must be better then he is. "I guess I'm just worthless now." He said letting the tears fall. But his face remand blank.

"Then Who am I? do you know where we met? or how? Or our relationship?" Maridawn asked not fully believing him. "But i do need to move out because once your mother gets here and hears about you, she will want to kill me herself. No matter if i am pregnant or not she wouldn't care. She probably thinks I purposely did this."

Josh sighed. "Well no I don't remember any of those things ...and why do you think my mother is such a bad person? " just asked. Then he looked away. "Just forget it. You made up your mind. So feel free to leave. I'm really tired " he said closing his eyes. Just then his mother walked in and gasped. She cried and looks like she has been crying for awhile. She looked at maridawn and pointed and yelled. "YOU did this! I told him to stay away from YOU! But no you had to come into his life and now he has a chance of dying?! " she said. Then she looked at Josh and snapped. "That's not Josh. That's not my son. I'm leaving I don't care what happens to him he's just like his father. He was going to leave me. But instead I'm leaving him! " his mother said walking out of the room. Josh heard everything and started crying so hard he started to hyperventilation and his heart was failing.

"I'm just confused."Maridawn said softly. When his mother came in and pointed at her she knew that was going to happen sooner or later though after she left, Maridawn held onto Josh's hand. "I'm sorry. This really is my fault. You were fine when we walked into school..if only Chris could learn how to back off this would've never happened. "

"Your confused? How do you think I feel?? " he said trying to calm down so he could breath. He closed his eyes and held onto the girls hand. "I guess I'm all alone now..." he said. What was he going to do or where was jelouse going to go? Josh continued to cry. "This just is not fair...." he said in a low voice.

Maridawn felt bad. What was she going to do now. A sigh passed her lips. "Even if you don't remember who you are..I'll remind you. I'll remind you how much you mean to me." She said in a whisper tone.She opened her purse taking out a picture giving it to him. It was the picture of the baby when they both went to the ultra sound together. "This is the baby. Even if your not the birth father your still her father and my boyfriend."

Josh grabbed the photo and smiled. "Its beautiful " he said then looked up at the girl "just like you.." he said then wiping away his tears only for more to come. He handed her the photo and took a slow deep breath. "When am I getting out of here? Do you know what's wrong with me? " he asked trying to stop crying. He knew something awful happened and he also knew it was going to be awhile if at all before he gets better..
