"You'll see." He said softly. ((just as soon as I remember where I was going to send them. o.o;; ))

"You're in the way, you're a pain in the ass... and you're no fun at all." Elais whined. "I'll let you deal with some friends of mine, I've got better things to worry about that involve you being out of my way." He said happily as a half dozen figures appeared. "Have fun angel." He said with a grin before walking away.

"...Alright..." she grumbled. "It better be worth it."

"And I've got better things to do than fight a bunch of demonic goons," he sighed. He shifted back to his smaller form and flew upwards with the intent of finding Carol.

Jin led her through the house to a room with a large movie screen. "I'm not going to do this often for you, but if it will reassure you I can show you anyone you want to see so you know they're alright."

"Wow...I thought these things only existed in sci-fi stories..." She stepped foward, tracing her fingers along the edge. "And you spy on people with this...? That's creepy. But beside the point right now. Obviously I want to see my parents."

"Not really, it takes too much effort to bother. I use it to watch things of interest." He said as he pulled her parent's up on the screen. "Come over here... I'll show you how to make it work."

"Okay..." she returned to his side, eyeing the screen curiously.

"Concentrate as hard as you can on them, picture them, and they should appear on the screen. Try your sister, it'll be better to start with someone who isn't already on the screen."

"Okay..." She closed her eyes, picturing her sister's chestnut hair, her girlish smile, her childish and silly ways...She suddenly missed her very much.

She appeared on the screen about the same time as Elias entered the room.
"Very good... I really do like your sister." Jin said cheerfully.

"So do I..." Her sister was with a handsome young man, admiring something on her hand. "Wait...is that...?" Carol stepped forward and gasped. "It is! Oh my gosh, Nichole is engaged!" She turned to Jin, a grin on her face. "My little sister is getting married!"

"Congrats." Elias said as he moved up next to Carol, "She's very pretty isn't she."

Jin glanced over at Elias, "Why are you here?" He asked, sounding almost bored.

"Because The two of you are."

Carol instantly moved closer to Jin, eyeing Elias nervously. She was pretty sure he wouldn't do anything with Jin in the room, but he still made her very uncomfortable.
"There you are." Diah flew into the room, perching himself on Carol's head with an annoyed look at Elias' appearance. "I followed your scent to the room, but you weren't there, so I had to go find the newer trail."

"Didn't I tell you to stay in the room?" Jin asked, irritation rising, "And Elias I told you to leave. I don't want to see your face again tonight."

"As you wish." He said before leaving, a new idea in mind.

"I was in the room. Then he showed up and started bothering me." He grimaced. "That is a foul man if I ever met one."
Carol's eyes widened and she looked up at Jin. "What if...he goes after Nichole?"

Jin blinked, "That... could be a problem. DARLA!"

The woman appeared at his side, "Yes sir?"

"Send Marcus to find Elais, I want him brought back here by the horns if needed. Diah, you might want to go protect Carol's sister. Carol's under my watch, she;ll be alright."

Diah was silent for a moment, thinking it over. Carol was his responsibility, not her sister--that was Rose's child. But if anything were to happen to the girl, it would destroy Carol in ways he couldn't bring himself to imagine. "...Alright." He leapt off her head, shifting into his larger form. "She'll be fine with me, love." He stroked Carol's head as she stared at him in wide-eyed awe. "Don't worry." He kissed her cheek before stepping back and vanishing with a crack of blue light.
"Wha...he...he was...extremely handsome!" She looked up at Jin. "Are all angels that good looking?"

"Most, yes. They're supposed to be appealing to humans. You're shallow to fall for it."

She glared at him. "I am not shallow! I'm still here with you, aren't I?"

"You don't really have a choice now do you."

She rolled her eyes. "If I'm shallow, you're completely dry. The only reason I'm even here is because you decided I was pretty enough for you."

"It has little to do with you looks and you know that. The reason you're here is because you fit all the requirements for something way beyond romance."

"And you knew this from the moment you saw me?" She questioned with raised eyebrows. "From the second you laid eyes on me and decided to mess with my life, you knew I would suit your twisted needs and that I was desperate enough to agree to help? Or was the only thing you knew was that I was small, alone, and might be a little fun for you?"

Jin grinned slyly, "Obviously I didn't know much of anything about you the moment I saw you, it was just luck you happened to be what I needed. And you are small, you were alone, and you probably would have been fun." He said as he headed out of the room, expecting her to follow. "But you proved to be more than a toy, didn't you."

"Lucky me," she mumbled, reluctantly following. "And you just proved my point."

"Hush." He said with a frown as he made his way back to his room.

Elias stood outside Nichole's place, grinning at his own brilliance as he thought about how to go about catching the woman on her own.
