"I didn't mean right now." He said, putting a finger to her forehead. "If you're tired, get some rest."
"I'll never be able to rest now," she sighed. "Might as well just work on the stupid angel stuff..."
Isaac shrugged, "Alright then, come on. Diah, we'll need you." He said, motioning for both of them to follow.
Diah got to his feet and followed, putting his arm lightly around Carol's shoulders.
"Carol, we're going to play a game. It'll increase your defense." He gave a clap and his fingertips turned red. "These... are a bitch to clean off. Hold up our hands, both of you." He said as they stepped into the courtyard.
Carol gave Diah a questioning look, but he just shrugged and did as told. She copied him uncertaintly, begining to wonder if Jin had made a good choice.
Isaac touched his finger tips to theirs, turning them that obnoxious reddish orange color. "Alright, it's like tag. The idea of the game is to put as much dye on the other players as possible without getting tagged yourself. So I supposed it's offense and defense, and a lot of fun. Wings out, those count now. Ready? Start!" He said as he put a bit of distance between himself and the pair. "No teaming up now!"
"This is silly," Carol sighed. "I really don't want--" Her sentence was cut off by Diah putting his hand flat on the small of her back, smearing the red over the fabric of her shirt.
"You'll never win that way," he grinned. "You jerk!" He took off and she immediately tore after him, catching up easily and cutting him off, her hand flat on his bare chest. "I'm faster," she smiled before taking off again. |
Isaac stepped in front of her, putting his palm to her forehead. "Use your wings." He instructed as he shot skyward.
((Geh, I feel like I'm godmoding, which I sorta am, but we've rped so long if feels pointless to ask first. Let me know if I go too far.)) |
She frowned and spread her wings, following him. She still hadn't completely gotten the hang of flying, but she did well enough that she managed to catch up to him.
Isaac cast her a mad grin, his wings suddenly snapping shut and he quickly fell. They snapped open again dangerously close to the ground as he shot forward towards Diah.
She stopped in surprise, then followed.
Diah immediately took to the air. He wasn't as quick as Carol, but he was much more agile and experienced. He had an easier time reading Isaac's movements and avoiding the other angel's hands. |
Isacc followed Diah around a while, staying just out of reach, waiting for openings. He had no trouble keeping up, but he was a bit out of practice and Diah seemed very expierienced.
((She could probably tag him now that he's focused on Diah)) |
Carol watched them in interest, admiring Diah's graceful, quick movements. When she noticed they were nearing her, she took an opporunity and flew up behind Isaac, placing her fingertips just hard enough on his back to rub off the colour before just as quickly flying away. The entire thing was almost unnoticeable.
Isaac took a moment to notice, and his grin instantly turned to a frown as he abandon Diah and tore after Carol.
((Fast forward?)) |
By the end of the game, Carol was covered in paint. Diah had tackled her in the air, and most of the colour was from him tickling her until she cried.
Diah himself had very little, and most of what was on him was from her trying to shove him off during said tickle fight. |
Isaac had escaped with the one mark from Carol and a few bits on his wings. "Hey now, that's not practice." He objected to their tickle fight, but he didn't seem to mind terribly.
Carol was now lying on the grass, staring at the sky absently. "When will Jin be back?" She asked softly.
"He didn't say." Isaac said as he sat next to her.
"Oh..." She fell silent, plucking blades of grass from the ground.
"I thouhgt you'd be angry but you seem more... depressed. He reached over, poking her side, "Cheer up you."
She rolled over onto her stomach, stretching her wings wide. "I am depressed. It's not a very good feeling knowing someone left because they can't be around you."
"Well I'm sure that isn't the only reason, he does have a lot of work to be done. We are in the middle of a war..." He rested a hand on Carol's wing, lightly stroking the feathers, almost looking jealous. "A truely pure angel... how lucky..."
"It's the main reason though," she grumbled, tilting her head back to look at her wings. "How is it lucky?"
"There are very few pure angels in heaven... and it's always the pure angels that end up in power. I'm close, but heavens, I was a legend... I wonder if I'll be welcomed back, or thought of as a hasbeen..."
