"But I don't want power," She sighed. "And if I'm supposed to make as big of a difference as Jin says, you'll get all the credit for training me. God knows I can't do any of this myself."

"I won't get all the credit, believe me, I wouldn't deserve it. I'm not the greatest teacher."

She frowned. She'd thought she was doing okay for her first time, that she was improving, but apparently he thought otherwise. With a groan, she dropped her head onto the grass, feeling even worse now than she had before.

"But it's the most dangerous thing to start off with. Let's get you psychically up to par first. That way you can hold up to magic. It's not as hard as it is in life, you aren't building up muscles, you're training the ones you have. Ready to start up again?"

"Fine, we'll work on that..." Isaac said with a sigh. "Let's perfect your healing. The problem is, we need injuries to heal..." He mumbled.

Isaac shook his head, "I'm talking broken bones, torn wings, things I couldn't do to another angel."

"You can break my arm," she said matter-of-factly.
"Woah!" Diah was by her side in an instant, a hard set of anger on his features. "Carol, that's crazy. He's not going to break your arm."
"Why not?"
"Because that will hurt you!"
She looked confused. "Isn't that the point?"

"Of course I can't, don't be foolish." He shut his eyes and put a hand to his forearm. With a flash of white light and a sickening crack the bone snapped. Isaac seemed to take the pain pretty well. "Mending bones is a little bit harder then cuts. Give it a try, and don't be nervous, if you mess up I can fix it."

The sound sent shivers down her spine, and she looked like she might be sick for a moment. Quickly regaining herself, she nervously asked, "It's the same concept as with the flesh wounds?" It was one thing when it was her arm and she screwed it up. She really didn't want to hurt someone else.

"Basically, it just takes a bit more effort and you have to be sure the muscle and bone gets places just right. No weird lumps, right?" He said, trying to smile although the broken bone was causing him to wince every now and then with movement.

Still looking quite nervous, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes, placing her hands as lightly as she could upon his arm. A faint glow came to her hands and she suddenly found herself quite easily able to almost see the fractured bone in her mind. It took only a bit more effort to manipulate the material. It took a few minutes, but finally she pulled away, chewing on her lower lip. "I think I did it right..."
"Wow..." Diah murmured. "That was...really impressive. You're learning this fast."

"Like a damaged internal organ or two." He put a hand to his stomach and then doubled over in pain. Once he'd managed to over come it enough the let himself fall sideways, giving her room to work ad access to the wound. "Hurry up or I'll end up back a the graveyard for heaven knows how long."

"Oh, jeeze! What is wrong with you?!" She immediately put her hands to his stomach, Diah hovering over her, ready to take her place if she couldn't do it. "I can't believe you," she grumbled with her eyes closed, the glow returning. "At least warn me before you do something stupid like this." It was a lot more difficult to get a clear image in her mind, but she managed it and went to work. While the image wasn't as clear, it was quite a bit easier to actually move the organs as opposed to the bone. It was much lighter and didn't take near as much effort to manipulate. After several minutes, she pulled away, looking rather sick. "Is that okay?"

"Yeah, if slow internal bleeding is a good thing." He said with a small smile. "You missed a spot, in other words." He said, healing it himself. "You won't like this exercise as much, but it'll increase your speed and accuracy." He pulled a string of beads out of his pocket, each the size of a golf ball, and a vivid green. He pulled them from the string and each sprouted small wing and buzzed around her head, each with varying speed. "There are twenty, total." The whizzed off in different directions rather suddenly. "Once you catch one it will return to it's dormant state. When you bring me all of them you can be done for the day."

"All of them?" She repeated, looking even sicker than she had a moment ago.
"Oh, come on, Isaac," Diah argued. "She's exhausted. That's too much in one day." Before his sentence was done, Carol had pulled herself to her feet and flown off. He sighed, watching her go. "If nothing else, she's stubborn," he muttered.
Hours later, she collapsed on the ground, finally having caught all of the beads and looking near death. "That took...way too long..." she said softly.
