(Yep. Time skip works.)
"Leander... Just Leander." He pointed out before he stood up. And so they parted ways and the night went on. Early the next day, Desirei called Moore's cell phone. "Hello... Moore, wanna hang out? I'm bored..." She said with a sigh. She really was. |
Moore nodded in silence and took off into the dark night. He was immensely glad when he returned home, that he hadn't needed to fight as he had been expecting before he left.
He landed on his balcony and stepped inside the room, closing the glass door behind him and pulling off his clothing. Changing into something looser, he flopped into his bed and fell asleep almost immediately, leaving the phone on the beside table. |
Desirei tried calling Moore a bit later in the evening.
((Sorry for the small post.)) |
Moore opened sleepy eyes as he phone rang and vibrated slowly across the lacquered wood. He is arm snaked out from under the covers and he flicked open the phone, bringing it to his ear.
"Hmmm hello?" |
Desirei grinned. "Hey! Moore. It's me, Desirei. Wanna hang out today? I'm like super bored over here. So how about it?" She asked.
|
Moore took a moment to rub his eyes and sort out what was going on before he responded to the female voice on the phone.
"Hmm? Oh.. sure why not? We can go to dinner and hang out or something." He said with cheerful ease |
"Alright. What time should we meet up?" She asked. "And where at?" She added.
|
Moore thought hard for a moment, mentally going through all the restaurants he knew and trying to chose the most popular, an the highest class one possible.
"The Red Room. At..." He glanced at the clock by his bedside, "Five? That's in an hour. Is that okay?" |
"Sure!" She said. A grin passed over her face. The Red Room. That was seriously pricey. Excellent. "Alright. I'll be there! Bye!" She said then hung up.
|
"Hmm okay..." Moore was cut off by the click on the other end and sighed softly. He brought the thin phone away from his ear and scrolled through the phonebook until he found Leander's number. Pressing the green button, he told it to call the other man, and lifted the phone again to his ear, humming softly and waiting for the other man to pick up.
|
Leander made a grab for the phone. "Hey! Leander speaking." He said, before taking a breath. "How can I help you?"
|
"She called." Moore said in a calm tone and assumed that the other man would figure out who it was fast enough.
|
There was a chuckle on the other end of the line. "Hehe. Right. When and where?" He asked. Oh the look on his face. Vengeance was a wonderful thing.
|
"The Red Room at 5:00." Moore told him and smiled slightly. "I'll make a reservation now and hope we can get in. It's a little early for most of the people who go there I think, and considering my family... well you know. See you there." He finished and began to pull the phone away from his ear.
|
"Right, goodbye. I'll talk to you then." He said before hanging up to get dressed and ready.
|
Moore crawled out of bed and shuffled into his bathroom. A refreshing and quick shower later, he was more awake and ready to get dressed and tidy himself up. Regardless of the situation, one couldn't show up to a formal restaurant in baggy jeans and a t-shirt.
Once he finished dressing, he grabbed his phone and other necessities, before walking toward his door and down the ornate hallway. It was not yet night, and thus it would have been unintelligent to use his balcony to exit as he often did. |
Leander had showered first thing that morning. After the call, he dressed. He pulled on an emaculate white t-shirt, then a long sleeved, black, button up shirt, as well as a pair of clean and crisp dark washed, proper fitting blue jeans. He slipped on a pair of black shoes, then combed his hair out. He was ready to go.
He grabbed his phone and ran out the door. |
Moore walked casually, enjoying the crisp breeze playing around him. It had been a long time he realized, since he had walked outside in the afternoon like this. Normally he got up at about dinnertime for most people and stayed up all night long. He was nocturnal.
"I should do this more often though. Before all the leaves go away." He mumbled and walked for another few blocks before waving down a passing taxi. Once he had gotten in, he asked the man to take him to the Restaurant, and watched the building slide by as the driver completed Moore's request. |
Leander hopped in his car, and took off. He was probably going a little faster than he should have. But meh. He had excellent hand-eye coordination, and timing. He got there quickly, and headed inside the building.
|
Moore's taxi pulled to a stop before the restaurant in question and Moore glanced at the LED clock on the man's dashboard. Good, he was early.
After paying, Moore got out of the vehicle and walked inside, talking to the host for a moment before he was led between the maze of tables to the table set for three. It seemed the other man was already there, and Moore smiled a little. So far everything was perfect. |
Leander waved when he saw him. He stood and walked over to meet Moore. "Hey. Ready to make her regret ever talking to either of us?" He asked.
|
"I suppose so." Moore replied and smiled softly. He glanced around swiftly before moving to their table and taking a seat in one of the finely crafted chairs.
"And now we wait I guess. I trust you've been well since our last meeting?" |
"Yeah. Just excited. I figured we wouldn't have to wait long, so I was prepared for this to happen ever since last night." Leander said with a nod. "And you? How have you been?"
|
Moore rested a chin on his palm, elbow supported by the table before him as he chuckled
"Hmm I've been well enough I suppose. Nothing in particular to report. I can't really say I live an exciting adventurous life." |
"Me neither... Things are dull in this town. Nothing happens." He said with a sigh.
