History: Hyun was turned as a young man when, like Carlisle, he was hunting vampires when he was attacked by his cornered prey. The hunters that he was with saw that he had been bitten and it wasn't long before Hyun was running for his life from those he had worked next to. He was able to make it to a city and the hunters were thrown off his trail. He spent weeks trying to keep his vicious hunger at bay, feeding on sewer rats. When he found the desire for human blood, Hyun began feeding on dogs and sheep. Eventually, he was able to curb his appetite and survive to live again.

After finding the loneliness of being what he was unbearable, he created a companion. He thought that she would be perfect for him, and on their wedding night tried to turn her. She was frightened and terrified by what he truly was and he had to flee for his life once more, this time leaving Korea and finding sanctuary with the Volturi.

But during his stay with the Volturi he found their morals and methods cruel and left only after fifty years. He traveled the world for many years, never staying one place very long.

In the late 1880's, he found Yoon dying from a beating in the middle of a street. She had been discovered as a woman by her factory co-workers. He took her to his home and tried to nurse her back to health, but when it seemed as though she would die, he offered her a choice. She choose the lonely life of a vampire and he turned her.

History: Yoon grew up loved by her family despite being a girl. But the tragic death of her father, left her and her mother alone and poor. Her mother remarried a cruel man when Yoon had just turned thirteen and even though she didn't understand her stepfather's gaze, she knew that she didn't like him. She was no longer loved and her mother was abused for not producing a male heir. Yoon did what she could to help her mother, but it was not enough. Finally, Yoon was of an age when she knew why her stepfather looked at her the way that he did and ran away with her mother. They had even less than before but still Yoon insisted that they run.

They had not gotten far when her mother was caught and taken back to her husband. Yoon wanted to go back and protect her mother from the terror that awaited her, but her mother had told her to run, even if she were caught. So Yoon ran. She cut her hair and dressed a boy, working in a factory for nearly four years before she was discovered.

She was dragged into the street and beat. Her co-workers spat on her and left her where she laid. When Hyun came upon her, still wide-eyed and frightened. He took her to his home in the country and cared for her. But when her condition worsened. He hesitated to turn her.

But Yoon surprised him. She didn't flinch or even seem surprised. She understood what would happen and agreed to be turned.

Venice and ..modern time....

Yukina walked down one of the streets of venise.It was a butiful night out.The moon was full and verry bright.The start sgone like,,,well dimonds in the sky.Her job had let her here.She was told to servay the area and let her "Family" know if any "creachers" were in the city.All though she wouldnt tell them if she did.No way in hell.

(Sorry for being gone all weekend! We lost our Internet connection! XP)

Hyun stepped from his apartment in the star-filled night. He was uneasy. He had recently returned to Venice and knew that the Volturi would soon invite him for a visit. He turned towards the door, a frown of concern on his face. He had been avoiding Venice for more than one century for a reason. His companion, Yoon. They weren't mates, but she had not yet been exposed to the Volturi and their ...eccentricities. She had accepted her new life as an opportunity to live better than she had before, and Hyun had been able to hide most of the unpleasantness that accompanied their superior abilities.

He turned back to the street, quiet at this hour, and decided to wander the streets and quietly announce his presence, certain that someone would be sure to notice him before too long.



Yoon sat at the vanity in her new room. It was an antique and a light and honeyed colored wood, pine she supposed. But it was elaborately carved and the top was a solid piece of marble. It was beautiful and as she supposed very heavy! Hyun had just left for a stroll about the city. As she admired the table, she couldn't help but wonder about his strange behavior since they had arrived in Italy. He had gotten quieter and almost seemed nervous, ordering her to stay inside when he usually let her roam the area, which left her uneasy especially since she didn't know the cause. She had a suspicion that this "stroll" related to his behavior but she didn't know how. But she stayed in the apartment, wearing her pajamas and prepared for another long night of Italian TV.

Yukina sat down at one of those outside diners.She munched and such on a beggal and stuff.She then blinked seeing a verry good looking man walking buy.He wore dark clotheing .

Kimaru was hugery .... for what he wasnt sure.He had truble desideing between animalls or a humna.

Hyun was walking past a little cafe when he sensed...something or someone. He stopped and saw a girl eatting at one of the tables, looking somewhat bored. But she wasn't just a girl, he could clearly see that even if the humans around him could not. He wanted to talk to her, find out what she knew about the happenings of the hidden culture of local vampires, but he also found himself strangely nervous. Other than Yoon, her hadn't spoken to another vampire in decades. Still...

"Hello," he greeted her with a flourished bow.

Yoon suddenly felt itchy. She didn't know why since vampires didn't feel itchy but something made her uneasy. She switched off the TV and poised herself on the couch in a position that she could easily defend herself if necessary. Her eyes were still as she listened to the sounds around her. She could hear the neighbors snoring in their beds, the drip from the faucet in the bathroom, the bartender across the street was locking up his pub for the night, whistling as the key turned in the lock.

Yukina bliked and looked up at Hyun."uh...hi",she said stareing at him."can i help you?"

Kimaru walked the dark steets.His sences opened to everything.

Hyun smiled warmly. "I was hoping so." He heavily accented his Italian. "I am visiting Venice on business but don't really know my way around." He knew the Volturi tricks of receiving visitors well. "But now I am lost. All these streets look the same."

Yoon heard a soft step walking in one of the back alley ways. The hair on her arms stood up and she shivered just a little. Hyun had kept her from other vampires since she had been born. He told her that it was for their protection, not hers. She looked forward to meeting another vampire other than Hyun. Hyun had told her not to go out, but he wasn't here right now and wouldn't notice if she went out really quick. She found her clothes and in seconds had passed by the time that she was out the door.

Yukina smiled a bit."well ive been here for a few weeks i kindove know my way aroud",she said gatering her books and putting them into her bag."it all depends where your heading"

Kimaru looked around some more he smelled the air.Humans and Vampires were out and about tonight.But he didnt let that bother him.Then he glaced over and saw a girl leaveing a building.

Hyun bowed deeply. "I would be eternally grateful." When he rose, he explained. "Well, I was trying to scope out the more interesting sites to visit after my meeting tomorrow so I wouldn't waste too much time before getting on my flight. Do you know where to find the square? I was told that it is quite beautiful."

Yoon stepped out into the street but silently kept to the shadows. The itch was becoming unbearable as it mixed with the nervous anticipation of meeting the vampire that was near. The bartender was pocketing his key, still whistling a cheery tune, oblivious to her presence.

Kimaru apaerd behind her."what are you doing out here so late at night?",he asked with a eary smile on his face.

Yukina blinked and pulled out her sketch book .After flipping threw it she showed him a piture of the squar."thiss place?",she asked with curiousity.

Hyun nodded when she showed him the photo. "That's the one! I was told by my co-workers that on my first visit to Venice, one must always pay a visit to the square." He chuckled lightly. "I know that you have only been here a few weeks, but do you know of any other interesting places one should visit when in Venice?"

Yoon gasped, all of her pent up excitement overcame her. She turned instinctively without trying to make her movements look more natural. "Who?"

The first thing she noticed were the eyes. They were a blood red with hints of amber.

But the bartender noticed them then. "Hey! Who's there?" He yelled, echoing Yoon's thoughts. He started to walk towards them, a look of concern on his face.

Kimaru came out of the shadows."hello young miss",he said in a verry polite tone.

Yukina smiled."there are a few things",she said putting back her sketch book then continued walking.

Hyun smiled. "Really? I would love to see them! Would you be able to show me them so that I can see them tomorrow?" His voice eager.

Yoon stepped back, slightly, remembering to respond slowly--like a human would. "Hello, sir. Um..." Her voice was barely a whisper and quivered in her throat. What to say to a vampire in front of his prey. The bartender's footsteps grew nearer. Should she send him away or let him come to his probable death? She was unsure of the how things worked in Venice and she didn't want to offend this vampire but she hated the thought of an innocent man dying just for trying to be a good citizen. She made up her mind and acted quickly. She pulled the vampire towards her, looping her arm through his, and she leaned close to him and started laughing lightly.

Her laughter seemed to slow the bartender down until he stopped.

Yukina wasnt to sure."uh i guess so...",she said a bit nervously.She looked at her wach.Her old friend never did show up.Sighing slightly she smiled."lets go",she said walking.

Kimaru grined as he watched."hehe heh nice",he said in a low wisper.

Hyun nodded. "Of course." After walking a ways, almost to the square, he asked, "So where are you from? You have only been in Venice a little while. Why the move?" He acted as though trying to make small talk.


Yoon heard him but didn't respond. She held fast to her control. Acting like someone else was helping. She was talking, kind of, to a real vampire other than Hyun! She was holding his arm! She felt as thrilled as she had when she had successfully made her first kill. It was nothing compared to a human with adrenaline as it was so much more intense, but she kept these feelings at bay.

When the bartender seemed to think that maybe things were fine, he turned around and walked home, muttering something under his breath.

When he had disappeared out of sight, Yoon dropped the act and the vampire's arm. And took a huge gulp of air and expelled an unnecessary sigh or relief. She stepped away and leaned against a wall as the culmination of everything hit her from all directions. Some part of her understood now, Hyun's hesitation with introducing her to other vampires. Her senses were overwhelmed.

Yukina looked ta him."uh my job brought me here",she said calmly.

Kimaru blinked."yeash...she was a rude one",he said looking at his watch."shit .. im late",he said as he ran towards the small caffee.
