A gifted roleplay between myself and my friend Silver Crusnik, in which our characters attempt to escape from the human scientists who experiment on them. Gifteds as in gifted humans.

Read if you like, but please no posting or commenting of any kind ^^

Name: Kale Underwood
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Race: Demon

Appearance::

NORMAL:

NOTE: The wolf on his shoulder is Adonis. He's like a spirit, only visible to those who he wants to see him, though always visible by Kale. He's part of Kale's powers, who believes that it's a part of the "Demon" side of him. Adonis can speak, and has control over ice. However, if he uses his abilities, they can only be physically felt if he reveals himself in sight to the person he's attacking. This is all based on the fact that if he's summoned at the moment. There are times when he's not around at all, because Kale doesn't have him there.

"DEMON":

Personality: Kale's a very headstrong guy. He's extremely confident in himself, and also stubborn as a mule. He's not exactly cocky, though he can come across that way with how large his ego seems. He enjoys sarcasm, as well as witty and clever conversations. If he wants to, with simple words, he could drive someone insane, which he actually enjoys to do to the scientists and idiotic gifteds who have given themselves up to them. He absolutely despises his situation, and makes things as difficult as he can. He's developed a high tolerance for pain, which is the only thing that really allows him to still rebel.

Every last part of him is accentuated in demon form. He's much more egotistical, stubborn, and temperamental. In a way he could be called sadistic in this form, due to how cold and heartless he can be, and come across as. He's extremely sarcastic and pessimistic, and almost appears to be bored with everything. He's just not a great guy when he's in this form.

Abilities:
  • Shadow Manipulation. Shadow Control is just like the bending of any other element. You control it like you would water, or fire. It includes shadows, the darkness, and night. He can do a multitude of things with the control of shadows, including teleportation, solidifying, and more.
  • "Demon" Transformation. He becomes in appearance like the second picture. All of his abilities are enhanced in this form, including his sight, smell, hearing, strength, and speed. It also changes his personality in a way.
  • Animal Transformation. The only animal he can become is a wolf, and only from the form of the "Demon." He can't go straight from normal to wolf.
    [[PIC OF WOLF TRANSFORMATION]]
    - When in this form, he can use lightning
  • Ice control. Stronger when Adonis is around.

History: Kale remembers nothing of his life before the scientists, even if he did have a life before. He claims they wiped his memory, and if he does have any family or friends out there, they did this to keep him from remembering, and also contacting them. They didn't want him to have any ties with the outside world, or so he says. The thing is, the scientists never deny it.

He's never accepted his situation, and continues to rebel and seek a way out. He hates being treated like a freak. One thing the scientists try hard to figure out about him, is how he summons Adonis, and where the little wolf goes when he's gone. However, it takes a great lot of pressure from these people to get Kale to summon the wolf, and refuses completely most of the time.

Name: Abel Nightroad

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Race: Crusnik

Appearance: Abel is decidedly tall, standing at six-foot three, and has silver hair, as well as strikingly vibrant cerulean eyes. For as pretty as they are, obviously he still can't see well, as he wears very thick glasses. His skin is very fair, and he is extremely skinny, as he doesn't eat much, nor does he get the proper nutrition. Abel also has very large, black feathered wings that extend from his back. (No gun, lulz.)

Personality: Abel is a pretty alright fellow, but only to Kale, really. He is optimistic to a point, but also has a cynical streak from his wilder teen years. He has a penchant for messing things up, because he does have a clumsy side, which is understandable with how gangly and tall he is. Sometimes he even hits doorways if they’re too low, and he could have shown you the bruises to prove it.

Abel can be deadly serious though, whenever the situation calls for it, and he has a sharp tongue and wit.

Abilities*: Abel is a Crusnik, which is a Vampire that feeds on the blood of other Vampires. Sunlight does not affect him, and he has a very humanlike normal form. This is because Abel was, until he was about 4, born a normal human. His unique vampirism is caused by nanomachines that have become an integral part of him. He used to be required to speak a command sequence in order to activate his nanomachines, but in the spur of the moment, he no longer needs to.

When his nanomachines are active, Abel's form changes drastically. Hair normally bound back in a ponytail now gravitates upwards, his fangs lengthen, and his eyes glow crimson. His fingers also develop claws, and he gains the ability to control his own blood, crystalizing it into what he sees fit to, and also able to create his blood-scythe. In this form, Abel is able to heal very rapidly, and so to defeat him, you'd actually have to knock him unconscious, or be of an equal power level. Further, he has great agility and speed, augmented more by his ability to fly.

Abel has 2 primary power levels. 40% nanomachine activation, and 80% nanomachine activation. In 40%, he keeps most of his personality, but is more...dark, sinister even. He does not kill without compunction but...he can make your life quite miserable if given the chance. [[PIC]]

His 80% form is much less magnanimous. In this form, Abel also risks losing control, and when he does, it usually causes him to seek out nourishment, so he can become very dangerous if not properly restrained. In addition, entering this form, especially repeatedly, caused mental instability which can be either temporary or permanent. [[PIC]]

Abel's final, much more rare level of power release is 100% nanomachine activation. In this form, he is uncontrollable, even by his Power Bands, but it is actually the Bands themselves which inhibit him from reaching that activation, for the most part. They have a specific command over his body that keeps him from entering this form unless he is under enough traumatic stress--a great amount, such as created when one's life is threatened--that it would be necessary for him to enter it in order to preserve his life. Abel loathes entering this form.

In his 100% release, Abel's skin, which usually only grays slightly in released forms, completely blackens. Upon his body are glowing blue markings, and his feathered wings turn into strangely shaped...things, for lack of a better term. He can still, miraculously, fly in this form. All inhibition is removed in this state, and his power level is at its maximum, which also means his perpetual healing is in a similarly maxed out state. Abel seems incapable of coherent speech in this form, and he has no need to speak anyway. Instead, he is really only capable of angered howls and roars. The 100% release is NOT a natural state for Abel's body, and thusly deteriorates both his body and mind; the longer he's in it, the more damage is done. [[PIC]]

History: The circumstances of Abel's birth, as well as the birth of his brother, are anything but normal. He was more or less created. That is, he was actually made at first in a petri dish, his DNA a mix of the most perfect genetic traits available. Once he was perfected, a goal that took years for the scientists to reach, he was set to be born. This is why he was termed a "test-tube" baby.

Abel was perfect. He had a perfectly shaped face, with beautiful eyes, and silken silver hair. His anatomy was just as perfect, and he was born with the rarest blood type. Everything about him was extraordinary, save for his eyesight. It was really rather poor, and he required very big glasses. But what pleased the scientists the most out of his good traits was his placid nature, his acquiescence to whatever happened to him, be it a cut or a stomach virus, even. Not that he got sick often, given his excellent immune system.

When Abel turned 3, he was immediately put through the most rigorous conditioning that a child his age, even an adult, could handle. He took to it easily, shedding his baby fat and trading it in for taut, strong tendons and powerful muscles. He didn't appear much different, but by the time he was 5, Abel was able to bench his weight, which wasn't very much at all, but in comparison to his size, was inconceivable. This prepared him for his true purpose.

When he turned 7, young Abel underwent incredibly painful and extended transfusions which filled his perfect blood with billions, maybe even trillions, of tiny nanomachines, each specifically designed to meld to his blood and, like a backwards virus, augment his abilities. He was to be a genetic superhuman.

The nanomachines did not have that desired effect, however. Instead, they ate away at Abel's blood, forcing him to become vampiric, and mutating him to serve his purpose. Now Abel had fangs and claws, and an insatiable hunger. And for once in his life, he began to realize what had been done to him, began to hate the ones that had given him this hell. The child became uncontrollably powerful, his strength more than quadrupled by the nanomachines. It was after that day that he was treated like a sub-human animal, dubbed as Krsnik 02. The term was later revised to Crusnik, and after Abel began to develop his murderous, contrary personality, that was all they would call him. Crusnik 02. That was what he was. Crusnik, a creature fed on the blood of other vampires, as they soon learned.

Until he was about 18, Abel was kept there, slowly losing his mind to experimentation and punishments. His Crusnik nanomachines made sure that he lost part of what made him handsome, his musculature, but he still grew to be a tall fellow, and he never lost his strength, but rather, gained more.

In order to tame his horrible tendencies, he was put into a cell with Kale Underwood, and interestingly enough, it worked. His cynicism was met head on by the younger boy, and despite their 3 year difference and the fact that, typically, their personalities would most likely clash, what eventually got to Abel was the fact that this boy, Kale, meant him no harm. And why should he harm Kale, if he had to spend time with him and they were in the same predicament?

Referring to Cain's history, it is conceived that Abel has a deep hate for his brother, for being punished for everything, even when it is the scientists' faults.

Other: Due to a failed experiment on him, Abel is no longer able to retract his wings without suffering immense physical agony, and so he avoids doing so. Whenever they’re retracted, he is also disbalanced, due to how used to the extra weight he’s become. Also, their being retracted caused him a constant, dull ache all over his body, which worsens slowly to the point of the pain actually nauseating him.

Other than that…Abel is completely and totally obsessed with all things sugar. He'd eat it to the point of sickness if given the chance, so keen is his love for it.

((ALSO, Abel does not suffer from the same debilitating mental deterioration his elder brother does, though he does carry the trait. However, if he lapses into enough of his high level release states, he may soon face that problem.))

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

Name: Cain Nightroad

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Race: Crusnik

Appearance: Cain is about the same height as his younger brother, maybe a bit taller. Instead of having silver hair, however, Cain has light blonde hair. His eyes are azure, and much colder than his brother’s gaze. However, despite that cold gaze, his expression is always relaxed, a charming, charismatic smile on his face at all times, even when he is causing harm to another. His hair is cropped short, just about an inch or so past his shoulders. [[PIC]]
[[PIC OF CRUSNIK FORM]]

When he transforms into 80% and up, Cain’s hair gravitates upwards, his eyes become red, his nails become long black claws, his fangs lengthen, and he sprouts three pairs of wings, white and pristine as an angel’s.

Personality: Cain is twisted, and has a similarly twisted rationale on things. It’s not quite optimistic, but neither pessimistic. He, unlike Abel, has reserved himself to his inescapable fate, and has given himself entirely to the scientists.

It is actually this surrender that has disbalanced Cain’s mind completely. He allows himself to lapse into higher states of release purposefully, which has highly deteriorated his mentality, to the point where he is certifiably psychotic. Even his loyalty to the scientists Is tentative, which is why he has special, more powerful Power Bands on, which can be controlled remotely and provide much more painful punishment, as to distract him even in 100% release.

He doesn’t hate his brother, no. But Cain also believes Abel is foolish, and deserves punishment. He would gladly administer that punishment, and with how much more foolish Abel has become, the punishment borders on death. He of course rationalizes it as necessary.

Abilities*: Cain is also a Crusnik, though he is known as 01, in contrast to Abel being 02. He was originally fused at only 50% with the nanomachines, but in order to allow him to match his brother’s strength, Cain was fused 100% with his Crusnik nanomachines, meaning they actually inserted that many. Abel could tolerate it, given that his transformations into higher-level releases were limited. Cain, however, was not so fortunate. His transformations were forced, in order to make him more powerful, and that deteriorated his mind permanently.

He now only transforms into 80%-100% release states, though far less frequently does he use his 100%. When in this form, he can control his blood, as Abel does, and creates an intricate-looking lance of blood. In addition, he has the power of telekinesis, and can easily fling bodies around like ragdolls if he is able to concentrate. Otherwise, he uses invisible waves of telekinesis to strike enemies, which gives him longer range, if less power.

History: Cain was the firstborn of the Nightroad siblings, and was thusly the first one to be implanted with Crusnik nanomachines. He, like Abel, was engineered to be genetically perfect, and is very much so, given that he has no flaws. His eyesight is not flawed like Abel’s.

There is...one...inherent flaw. The Nightroad family, from which the male DNA is obtained, has a streak of psychosis. Cain exhibited signs of this psychosis early on (Around 5), and it worsened at 11. Having undergone the same training as stated was done for Abel, he was incredibly powerful for his age, and the Crusnik nanomachines implanted in him (When he was 4, not 7) only furthered that. However, the implantation itself seemed to trigger an unnatural set of responses. Cain blamed the scientists, but he did not hate them. Instead, he dispensed "punishment" upon them. That is...until they decided to bring his brother into the equation. And then Abel's unruly nature, and his hate for the scientists was used against him. The scientist turned Cain's psychotic thoughts onto Abel, professing that it was he who was to blame for the older sibling's suffering. Cain had been perfect, but Abel had been more perfect, and yet knowing he was perfect, he lashed out at the scientists, screamed obscenities at them, and tried to harm them. He required more love and attention. Cain did not.

In some twisted manner...Cain accepted that. His deteriorating mind was forced into further disbalance as he strove to master his high-level releases. Whenever he failed, the scientists did not punish him. They put him near Abel, on whom he released his frustrations through a set of logical determinings only he understands. Likewise, he punishes Abel for his shortcomings.

Although he does not hate his brother, and indeed loves him dearly, Cain would kill him if given the reason. Abel knows this, and hates him for it, because he doesn't understand.

As he ran down the halls full-sprint, wings furled close to his body so as to stop air resistance, Abel Nightroad couldn't help but smirk widely, even a bit darkly. He'd wanted to do this all his life, to make the bastards pay for what they'd done to him, his brother, and all the gifteds stuck in this hellhole of a facility.

He didn't care if he was hurting them. They'd hurt him. They'd taken his humanity from him forcibly, treating him as a creature without feeling and used him to achieve their ends.

It wasn't a secret what they'd been trying to do--make a superhuman for the purpose of fighting as a soldier, or something of the sort. Well, they'd created something very much like what they'd wanted, even if it was horribly flawed.

They just hadn't kept the creature caged well enough. They didn't notice that Abel had been working on a plot to escape, sharing it with Kale...and finally, when one of his Power Bands had been removed--only one or two of the four were ever removed at a time unless they felt like shooting Abel down with a tranquilizer--he had scrounged up enough power to break a second and damage a third.

Now, with the ability to activate 40% of the accursed nanomachines eating him alive and yet giving him his ungodly powers, he was showing the humans exactly how vengeful he could be. Clenched tightly in his hands was an enormous, double-ended scythe comprised entirely of his blood. Whenever a person came too close, he swung the blade around, usually just to incapacitate. He did have a heart after all.

But if it was someone he knew, someone who had done vast wrongs to him, he'd swing down, alright...and then use the scythe's other end in a deadly backswing to cleave the scientist or guard into quarters.

He knew they'd be able to replace the ones he killed. But that didn't mean that he wasn't enjoying his revenge.

Kale was certainly enjoying it. The transformation into a wolf was a direct power of his demon form, meaning his personality in the form of said animal was the equal to his personality in the form of the demon, making him a rather cruel person. Each person he took down, he took down pleasure. Each screaming person felled by Abel he leapt over, he turned back to look at with a smile.

He sailed through the air, his humongous forepaws coming down hard against a guard's chest, his nails piercing through anything protecting him, and into his flesh. Quicker then could be seen, his jaws were around the jugular of the man's neck, and he tasted blood. As the man hit the ground, and his chest was crushed under Kale's massive weight, the wolf leapt forward, and ran on.

He kept at Abel's flank, ready to get anyone he missed, or attack any who attempted to take him down whilst he was occupied with another. Occasionally he would hurry ahead, and take down a guard or two before the Crusnik had his way with them, and then would fall back. By now, his fur was matted with blood, and it dripped from his jaws, where he licked it away every once in a while, and savored the taste.

By the time that they made it nearly to the entrance, Abel himself was dripping in the blood of his victims, and by now he'd lost himself to the task of genocide more than just escape. His tongue slipped past his lips, lapping up the blood that had sprayed across his lips, and his grin widened, revealing his very long canines and the slightly pointed other teeth.

He enjoyed it when Kale provided him with blood. Even if it wasn't Vampire's, it was still quite delicious, and he had to take what he could get anyway. In the outside world, there might not be any Vampires, or if so, very few...

A loud gunshot cut through the air, and Abel felt the huge bullet whizz past his ear, nicking it the slightest bit.

"Ah--"

Turning his attention directly ahead, he was met with an annoyance.

3 men, mostly looking the same. The first was slightly shorter than the rest, and had messy but short brown hair. Next to him was another with darker brown and longer hair, dressed in much the same way with more lifeless eyes than his partner, and on the other side of the first man was another with black hair and matching eyes, devoid of all emotion.

All three held varying weapons, the taller brunet having what looked like an AK-47, the shorter holding two M-13 Jericho handguns, easily the biggest in the world, and the other having a sawed off shotgun.

"Halt," the middle one said tonelessly. "Or we will shoot."

Abel stopped moving instantly, and threw a momentary glance at Kale to show him he should follow his lead.

These were Killing Dolls. Androids.

Kale snapped his teeth together, causing them to make an awful clashing sound. A low growl emitted from his throat, and he lowered his head toward the ground, his ears flattened so tightly back against his head, it appeared as if he had none. His claws were gripping the stone fiercely, and as one of them scooted back the slightest bit, his nails left deep gashes in the ground.

The growing ceased as he caught Abel's glance out of the corner of his eye, and his own teal colored eyes narrowed for a moment. He wondered what Abel was up to, because he certainly saw no reason to stop here, when they were simply faced with machines. Even if they were Killing Dolls. He certainly hoped the Crusnik wasn't giving up now, for that would certainly piss the demon off.

Abel was far from it. He was thinking, actually. Unlike Kale, he had two very large targets on his back. Two large and highly sensitive targets. If he was shot enough times, either he would hurt a lot, or he would be forced into a higher state of release. The bands couldn't hold back an 80% release if he was hurt badly enough. But did he want to risk it? What if they all activated? 100%...he would be completely indiscriminate at that point, and he didn't wish to risk hurting Kale.

Still...

"Calm down," he commented quietly. "You may be able to dodge an automatic weapon, but I might not be able to, not like this. I'm going to have to...retract my wings."

Even as he said it, he couldn't help but wince visibly.

"Distract them for a second, alright?"

Kale had forgotten about the Crusnik's wings, and smirked slightly, the expression coming across odd in his wolf form. He knew the man's wings were sensitive, and understood he didn't want them being shot. Bullets were easily able to be dodged, or deflected by the young demon, but Abel had two very large targets to be aimed at.

Without a word, or a slight indication that he understood other then the action itself, Kale lunged forward in the shape of a black rocket. Shadows came to a point in front of his nose, and expanded out in a cone shape back before his body, providing him with a solid shield. As he rushed forward toward the middle android, large hard globs of solid shadow flung themselves at the other two machines.

As Kale charged, Abel forced his wings to retract. It was a slow process, and one that drove him to his knees, whimpering at first, then yelling loudly as they withdrew completely into his body. Even when they were retracted, he didn't move, at first. He was still in a state of shock, which was why he was counting on Kale to distract the androids. A task he was doing beautifully.

The left and right androids didn't dare to attack, and for their trouble, shields seemed to appear out of nowhere, protecting them. The one in the middle, however, aimed both of his handguns at Kale, firing them with such skill and precision that each volley was as fast as if the guns were more than just semi-automatic. They were something in between, given how well the android could use them.

The bullets ricocheted off the shadow shield as Kale's massive body came down on the android. His front paws pressed down against the machine's shoulders, his back paws on the thing's thighs, putting all near two hundred pounds of him, along with the force of his speedy run upon the android, and pressing hard.

His body seemed to curve around it, as the shadow expanded outward, and surrounded the other two androids, cloaking them in darkness, but doing nothing. He wasn't trying to defeat these things currently, just distract them long enough for Abel to get through his painful process, and back on his feet to continue the escape.

The wolf may have been moving fast, and he might have thrown all of his weight into the android, but it still didn't fall. Not to say that he didn't skid, but because he had anticipated, the android had shifted one leg back, as it was kicked, using its substantial and deceptively heavy weight to hold against Kale.

"Do not attempt to fight. Based on your specs, you cannot defeat me, Kale Underwood," the android informed the wolf. Without dropping his M-13s, he wrapped his arms around the wolf, using inhuman strength to try and crush it. The other androids could, for now, do nothing to assist their comrade.

Breathing harshly, Abel got back onto his feet, still shaky and in pain. It was fading to an almost ignorable ache now, though, and would remain so for, he hoped, long enough to get rid of these androids.

To compensate for the missing weight of his wings, Abel leaned forward slightly, one leg before the other, gripping his scythe tightly. He rushed forward, the scythe shifting shape into a one blade with a long chain whose links resembled vertebrae. With a cry, he swung the scythe down, wielding the heavy weapon with such precision that he actually would have cut into the android's arms, even if not sever them completely.

Would have if not for the shield that surrounded both the android and Kale.

Abel hissed in displeasure as his scythe was caught by the tip in the shield, unable to penetrate it.

Okay, the use of his full name was just weird, nor did Kale appreciate being told he couldn't win. That was absolutely degrading, and the demon had a temper, especially in this form. He snarled wildly, hating these damn dolls. His back cracked under the android's strength, which honestly felt kind of nice, until the pressure kept coming.

Defeating it was certainly no longer important at the moment. He just needed to get out of that iron grip. Ice began to eminate from his body, and started at the android's core, began to expand and cover the machine's body, quickly covering his arms first. Kale transformed back to his normal self at the same time, therefore shrinking in size, and attempting to slip out of the android's arms.

Despite Kale's attempts to wriggle out of the android's grip, it only held on tighter. And the ice only made it worse, as it started freezing the thing in place, still holding tightly to Kale. Even when the guy shrunk, the android still had quite a grip on him, and it would take more than just a little wriggling to get free.

Abel snarled angrily and in gradually rising frustration as he attempted to break apart the shield with his scythe. He knew what it was and how it functioned, but in the heat of desperation, and the fear that they might not get out of this after all of the work he'd put forth in breaking his Power Bands..

"Ah, 02, you've certainly made a mess of things, haven't you?"

Abel stiffened as he heard the voice, and instantly released his scythe. He couldn't whirl fast enough to dodge the backhand fist strike his elder brother gave him though, and was immediately sent crashing face first into the wall.

Cain smiled lightly, looking at Abel's fallen form, then switching to look at Kale momentarily, hidden behind the Aegis Shield protecting the Killing Doll HC-IIIX, better known as Tres Iqus.

"And you, I can't say you are innocent," he added softly, shaking his head in a very patronizing manner. "The both of you have misbehaved very badly indeed."

((XD!! Tres!))

Kale did his best to twist around in the android's iron grip to see who was speaking, though he knew the voice. His one visible eye, the other covered by a patch, locked onto Abel's older brother, and narrowed. Though no longer a wolf, he was still in his demon form, and even if he weren't, his temper would still be sparked, for he was growing increasingly angry that their escape attempt seemed to be failing. He should have never come in such close contact with the droids.

He snarled, baring his now smaller fangs in Cain's direction, "And you're a saint." He growled in response. Cain was far from innocent as well, even if the man had meant innocent in the matter at hand. For no, he certainly was not in that aspect.

Oh how he wished to spill Cain's blood most of all they'd run into tonight. He hated Abel's brother with a fiery passion, along with a couple of the other more powerful 'guards.' This included one named Reid, and a couple of others he had personal vendettas with. Besides the fact that he was who he was, Kale also hated Cain because of the way he treated his brother, a friend of the demon's.

He snapped his head back around to the android, angry that even his own inhuman strength was not enough to overdo the machine's. The ice slowly melted when he realized it was doing no good, though that didn't mean he ceased struggling.

Abel eventually got to his feet again, scowling at Cain. However, releasing his scythe had been a mistake. Cain was now guarding over it, well aware that if Abel released the blood-made object he had created, he would slowly weaken from the loss of contact with so much blood from his body. In addition, blood spilled from his lower lip where he'd smashed into the wall.

"Nanomachine...Crusnik 02...power output level 80% approved," he hissed, almost begging his nanomachines to activate by reciting the command. As he had expected, however, they did not activate. Cain had posed no real threat of death, and so the remaining bands held back Abel's power, restricting him before his brother, who could easily take that form and gut Abel like a fish...without actually killing him.

Most infuriating of all...Cain wasn't even paying him any mind! He seemed to find Kale more interesting, rather than his own younger brother, who was the only creature that could equal his strength.

"Sarcasm...how uncouth," Cain commented, unperturbed by Kale's words either. "How am I any worse than you? I did not take near as many lives as you and Abel have."

As the threat Kale presented faded, as did the ice, the Aegis Shield faded away. Tres held more tightly onto Kale, his grip becoming even more painful now that he was free. One M-13 angled against Kale's side.

"Desist your struggling, Kale Underwood, or I will be forced to fire," Tres announced plainly.

A rather sadistic smile came across Kale's lips at those words. He'd tasted so many different flavors of blood in the past few minutes he was having difficulty restraining the urge for more. If the thing holding him right now wasn't metal and clockwork, he would have already bitten it, wolf form or not. However, he was quite sure oil wasn't all that great tasting.

"Care to be added to the list?" He inquired rather darkly, his hunger for Cain's blood rather obvious in his oddly colored teal eyes. His attention was drawn away from the other Crusnik however as he felt the barrel of the gun press into his side, and the painful vice grip of the android Tres increase. He snarled quietly, but ceased his wild thrashing nonetheless.

Cain chuckled, his angelic grin widening.

"Who here is the Vampire?" he teased, then his voice grew a little more serious. "There again, I've never had a demon's blood..."

He stepped forward, towards Kale. Now his grin was less angelic and more leery...more dangerous as he revealed his lengthy fangs.

"Damn it, PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!"

Abel let out a rage filled roar as he extended his wings, ignoring the pain that flared in his entire body as he did so. He used the great limbs to propel him forward, to his scythe. The weapon had fallen to the ground with a clatter after the shield dissipated, and Cain had been a fool to take his eyes off of it.

Or rather...Abel had been a fool to think Cain was that stupid.

He soon found himself being held in the air by nothing.

"Abel, you are such an attention seeker."

Now, much like Kale was being given quite the squeeze by Tres, so was Abel by his brother's telekinesis. His wings were pressed painfully against his back, arms rigidly held at his sides as he levitated.

"Don't...don't you dare," he hissed as Cain neared Kale.

Tres didn't move, nor did he shift his gun.

"Is this necessary, my lord?" he questioned of Cain. The blonde Crusnik smirked.

"Those who do wrong deserve to be punished. Remember that, Tres."

"Positive."

Who here was the Vampire indeed. Sometimes Kale wondered if he really was one and just didn't know it sometimes, because the way he loved blood was much like that of a Vampire. Any kills he made, when he got the chance, he would stay for the blood. He unfortunately hadn't been able to do this recently however, as they were trying to get away from those guards, not stop and have a little snack.

The sadistic smile faded, and the sly look that had taken over Kale's face went with it. His narrowed teal eyes widened slightly, and he seriously hoped Cain was just joking. A shiver ran down his spine, when suddenly Abel cried out. He twisted around as best he could in Tres' grip, and saw the man suspended in the air, much to the demon's dismay. He'd been hoping perhaps this escape could still work, or at the very least, he could be saved from what he suspected Cain of planning.

He'd previously been trying to get away from the android, but Kale was now pressing himself against it, as if he needed every inch he could get between him and Cain. He agreed with Tres, he certainly didn't see it being necessary, and as far as he was concerned, neither he, nor Abel had done anything wrong. Well, except maybe the murdering, but then again, those weren't exactly innocent people's lives they were taking.

He felt like punching the machine for simply taking Cain's explanation and going with it, but currently he was restricted by the android, and feel a mixture of extreme anger, and hidden fear. A growl escaped his throat as the Crusnik approached, and the demon once again turned with what little room he had to see the oncoming man from the side, "Stay away from me." He snarled, his voice low toned.

A spray of shadow needles shot up in front, and behind Cain.

Cain was unflappable. When the shadow spikes shot up, two things happened. One, he used his telekinetic abilities to repel the shadows by creating a thin barrier around himself, and two, he tightened his grip on Abel, curious as to how Kale would react to the man being injured.

Sure enough, the pressure was great enough that Abel's fragile wing bones were unable to take it. Right at the joint of each wing, the bones were dislocated, and then the outer ones were snapped. He tried and failed at holding back a pained grunt, his crimson eyes glowing brightly as if to scream for him.

"If you don't stay still, I'll snap more than just his wings, I promise you," Cain commented almost chidingly. "And I'll snap more than just him. Remember, you are in the field of my telekinesis as well, Kale. So think, what is worse? A brief pain and unconsciousness, or unconsciousness and waking up as a paraplegic?"

He was so calm, so eerily lighthearted as he spoke.

Tres, being a prototypical creature, could not fight with the decisions of someone higher than his station. However, he could resubmit a concern.

"My lord..." he began, this time slightly hesitant. It was testament to the fact that he did in fact have the barest bit of a will. Then again, his brain was probably the only biological part of him. "I submit that we allow our superiors to deal with Kale Underwood and your lord brother--"

Cain frowned.

"Call him that again, and I will rip out whatever emulates those tones that rise from your false lips, and that is no threat," he said quietly. "Abel is no lord. He is but a failed experiment. A malcontent."

"...Positive. But still I submit that we allow these two to be dealt with by our superiors. Request entry."

"I will. As soon as I have just a taste."

Kale's eyes widened as he heard Abel grunt, and he twisted around in the opposite direction, for the second Crusnik was on the demon's right, while the first was on his left. He could see Abel's wings bent at odd angles, and by the time he'd gotten himself back around to face Cain - mind you this was really staring to give him a sort of indian burn thanks to Tres' metal body and tight grip - the man had already verbally confirmed what the demon assumed. He'd broken Abel's wings.

Another snarl sounded from the boy, for he was now quite angry that Cain had hurt Abel. The man was certainly the demon's only friend in this horrible place, and he actually cared about him. Him and him alone that was, for he didn't give a damn about another single soul.

He felt a small twinge of hope as the android continued to state his case, but that hoped died as quickly as it came as Cain shot down the machine's request. Defeated, the demon fell limp in Tres' arms, giving up simply because he did not wish to see Abel harmed further because of his own fear of being bitten by a vampire.

Tres loosened his grip slightly, but in doing so, angled his other M-13 at Kale's opposite side. He was offering Kale something in return for submission, but still was not foolish enough to trust the demon completely.

Cain's mouth opened, revealing his sharp incisors and all the other razor-sharp teeth in between, and he licked his lips as he watched Kale's anger-intensified pulse beat.

"It's not so bad," he murmured, tilting his head so that he could sink his fangs in. He didn't immediately though, instead pressing the sharp teeth against Kale's neck.

"I promise I won't kill you."

With that, he bit down, his fangs sliding into Kale's jugular and causing blood to cascade into Cain's mouth. He drank greedily, quite enjoying the taste of Kale's blood even if he didn't think it would do much nutritionally. The nanomachines within him simply didn't value anything but Vampire blood.

Abel was starting to feel weak now, his body shaking from lack of blood. The scythe on the ground began to lose its form, turning into little more than a bloody puddle.

"Cain...you...you bastard," he growled weakly. Pain and blood loss began to strip him of his consciousness, and when Cain was driven to distraction such that he released Abel, the younger Crusnik fell to the ground and was unconscious before he even hit. The pool of blood gravitated towards him, trickling to his wings, allowing itself to be reabsorbed into his body.

Kale pressed his back up against Tres, still fighting for those small inches in between him and Cain. He shuddered as he felt the Crusnik's teeth against his neck, still somewhat hoping this was just a scare. Subconsciously he was slightly irked as the man said it wouldn't be that bad, wondering if he'd ever had his blood drained. Even if the demon did enjoy blood, he didn't suck it our or anything. He'd simply lick a wound or something, as if drinking water. Somehow, what Cain was doing was just a lot creepier, and freakier.

His eyes widened as he sucked in a sharp intake of breath, and Cain's teeth pierced his skin. He tensed initially, and then slowly began to relax, more or so using Tres as support without realizing it as he leaned back against the android. Another shiver shook his body with a tiny tremor, and he closed his eyes, trying to pretend it wasn't happening.

He vaguely registered Abel hit the ground, and if he hadn't been distracted at the moment, would certainly be worried about the man. Honestly, the whole blood-out-of-his-body-scythe thing always worried the demon, because how it worked just didn't make sense.
