"Right." she held onto Charmeleon's arm as she carried Pikachu with the other. "this is going to be hard." she said as she looked into the hallway, scanning for scientists.

Evan laughed, "trust me, you got the easy load." he said as he when the coast was clear and moved down the hall. Arcanine was heavy and hard to carry.

"Do you need any help?" she asked, worried. She followed and allowed her new psychic powers to scan the hallway. "Clear." she said, moving on.

Evan shook his head. "no, I should be fine if we continue to move." he said as he walked

"Alright." she said doubtfully. She sighed and hitched up Charmeleon.

After walking for a little while they came to a door and Evan was breathing hard. He kicked it open and they saw the outside. Evan smiled at Thorn, "free." he said as he walked outside

Thorn was sure she wouldn't be able to walk anymore, but she smiled and called on hidden reserves of strength. She smiled and sniffed in deeply. "Come on, get into the forest a tad more and we can rest." she told herself.

After about walking half a mile or less away from there evan calapsed and was panting. "I think I cant go any farther." he said as he panted.

Thorn was exhausted too. "Let's take a break." she said. "Maybe the air will wake them up." she lay Charmeleon and Pikachu side by side. "charmeleon would never sleep this long." she said worriedly. "I wonder if they did anything to them."

Evan walked over and placed a hand on either of Charmeleon and pikachu. "lets see if I can wake them up." he said as he made his hands heat up.

"No!" Thorn pushed Evan off of her Pokemon. "Evan! How could you think of doing such a thing?" she grabbed up the still-asleep Pikachu and wondered worriedly if when the scientists did the operation, did they change Evan's personality?

Evan shook his head slightly and looked at her, "I have no idea, honestly, I have no idea waht came over me." he said as he looked at him. He felt like someone had taken control, as if he was just another mindless person or pokemon.

Thorn narrowed her eyes. She wasn't sure. He seemed like he had meant what he did, and she was still holding Pikachu. She sighed. "Fine. But you have to tell me if it feels like it's going to happen again.

Evan nodded, "try too, but how are we going to wake then up?"

Thorn held Pikachu up. "Hmm. I got Charmeleon to get up a little bit, but it was like we were in extreme danger. Maybe they have to feel threatened."

Evan nodded, "maybe but that would mean trying to seem like we are in danger or that we are trying to hurt them."

"I don't think I want to do that." she admitted. "We'll just have to wait it out I suppose."

Evan nodded but inside something was screaming at him to burn them and to burn everything else. It was as if now that he was part fire pokemon he just wanted to burn everything till it was gone.

Thorn looked at him curiously. "Are you ok?" she asked. "You look sick."

Evan noddes slightly, "fine just fighting off the urge to burn things."

"Here, it's going to get dark soon." she said. "How about you build a large fire, maybe it will take away the urge if you burn something." She had a weird feeling in her chest, like she was waiting for something to come in the night. She shrugged it off, it was probably nothing.

Evan nodded and started to gather wood. Soon he had enough wood to build a house with and started to light it. But as he did he felt something natural and yet dangerous bloom inside of him.

Thorn looked over, concerned. "You ok?" she asked. "It looks like your trying to burn the forest down." She looked up as the first starts appeared, she guessed that her Umbreon was happy that night had come.

When Evan heard her he calmed down and started to make the flames go down. "yeah, fine." he said softly as he made himself stay incontrol.

Night finally came, and it felt like being hugged in a blanket of stars. "Wow," she said with awe. "This is amazing! Can't you feel it too Evan?" She wanted to hug the Night back, but it was too big, she couldn't reach around far enough.
