A wooden, ornate box was carried by two men into a throne room of sorts, and they were certainly taking their time due to whatever was inside. They were told it was a pet, though this 'pet' seemed to be silent, and not very fussy, so to their relief it was to make their job easier.

Finally, once they were as near to the throne as they were able, they placed the box on the ground and bowed. "A present to your majesty..." One of them spoke, before the two of them left the box to whoever one of them addressed as their 'majesty'...

The vain, emerald-scaled naga's golden eyes looked down from where his head was perched on his arm, and he stood, smoothing down his long, emerald hair with his long, elegant clawed fingers, softly hissing as he slithered over from his throne up to the box, his many golden necklaces and bangles making jingling noises as they clanked together, most encrusted with beautiful green jewels, a nice contrast to his dark mocha skin."I wonder what it isss.." He softly whispered to himself, as he lifted the lid of the box up, glancing inside.

What was inside the box, aside from the pillow-like cushions to better safely protect what else was inside, was a sort of androngynous-looking neko. The neko's head had thin, golden hair down to the top of the back, while still creating a sort of boyish look for bangs, which hid a set of spring green eyes. Some apricot colored skin was covered by a rather large, button-up shirt that looked to be twice the neko's size, a set of nearly-as-baggy shorts to the knees, and some socks.

The neko looked up at whoever opened the box, just as curious as the neko was afraid of this strange creature. "..."

The naga prince smirked, lifting the little androgynous cat person out of the box."How cute..You'll make a very nice pet." He said, his thin, golden eyes looking straight into the eyes of the little neko."Can you not speak, young one?" He said, cradling the little creature in his arms as he softly hissed, his way of showing his bliss.

The androgynous neko felt the strange creature lift the cat-creature from the box, before being cradled in the arms of the snake-like creature... in responce to his question, the neko could only give the shake of the head, as if to imply the inability to speak. The neko blinked, and seemed to feel a chill come down the spine as a hiss was heard.

"Alright..Do you have a name?" He softly said, sitting back down on his throne with the neko on his lap."If not, I sshall find you a ssuitable name.." He smirked, resting his head on his arm, watching his new little pet."Your sso adorable..I do wonder if you are a boy or a girl though..not like I care much..I ssort of go for both, so it sshouldn't be much of a problem."

At the question of the Neko's name, the head was raised to reveal a collar with a nameplate attached to it. Engraved was the word, 'Mida', which was supposedly this Neko's name.

"Mida..Ssweet.It fitss, in a way.." The naga smirked."You can't really call me it, but I'm Emeralde..Prince Emeralde, to be exact..Ssoon to be king of nagass.." He said, stroking Mida's head gently.

Mida seemed to blush lightly as the neko's head was stroked, in place of a purr due to being mute. For a naga, he seemed to be gentle... Mida's head was leaned slightly into the petting.

"Your lucky you were placed into my care, kitten..Mosst of my race don't take well to your innocent kind..It'ss just our nature, we're born asss ruthlesss predatorss.." Emeralde softly said."But I sshall care for you..You are to sstay here in my temple, though..The outsside iss too dangerouss in thesse timess.." He adjusted the golden circlet-like crown upon his forehead, with claw-like parts curling up through his hair, and emeralds hanging down from the sides, resting in the center of his forehead, and on each of his temples.

"Now.." He stood again, setting Mida on his throne, but not seeming to care that he lightly scraped the neko's legs with his sharp claws, and sending a servant off, the dull brown-scaled naga rushing off, and soon coming back with a giant velvet cushion, made big enough for a naga to comfortably coil up on it, and setting it by his throne.Emeralde picked the small cat creature up and set him..Or her..On the cushion, and sitting back on his throne and looking down at Mida."There, a good sspot for you..Your very light, but your sstill a bit of a burden to keep on my lap consstantly." He said, smoothing out the soft green 'skirt' he had covering his lower half, but still revealing his rather feminine hips, accenting the shirt he had on, which only covered a tiny bit of his chest, revealing his pierced bellybutton, and the spot where his tan skin changed into his majestic scales.

Mida shuddered inaudibly as the neko's legs were scraped. Then, a cusion could be seen brought before the two of them, before the neko was placed upon it. Mida blinked, before starting to settle down, becoming comfortable and curling up on the cusion.

"You'll be so pleasant at night..Naga are cold blooded, so a warm body like yours will be so delightful to feel within my coil.." Emeralde smiled."Ssomeone overdid themsselvess..I guess my ssubjectss are congratulating me early for becoming king..Finally, a decade and a half after my father'ss death by a feline asssasssin's hands, I come of age..I'm turning nineteen in jusst a week..Oh, all the thingss I sshall change.."

Mida blushed lightly a bit as he spoke.. a warm body within his coils...? The seemingly androgynous neko could only flush.. However, the flush faded as something along the lines of a 'feline assassin' was mentioned. The neko's kind...? Assassinate...? Mida blinked.

"What'ss passt iss passt, though..Thosse catkin who tried to take down our kingdom have been long dead, your kind didn't exactly take kind to uss taking out their corrupt ruler, but he did asssasssinate OUR king, and my father..I do hope that whoever ssent you to me wassn't meaning for taking you asss my pet to be a sset-up for the new catkin army to attack me, for 'kidnapping', when I recieved you asss a gift." Emeralde laughed.

"Mmm.." He softly hissed, looking off into space as he seemed to remember something."It'ss nearly the time in which I bathe..Would you like to come with me?"

Mida blinked at the notion of bathing... and almost blushed at the offer to come with him... Well alright... just as long as that didn't mean bathing with him...

A bit cautious about the offer, though, Mida sat up, as if waiting for him to pick the neko up.. unless he expected Mida to walk with him...

Emeralde picked Mida up, carrying the neko into his bathroom, which had an unnaturally large tub, for comfort with a naga's long tail, of course, and he sent off a servant yet again to get hot water for the bath, which the servant soon returned with, and poured it into the bath followed by a few more, with more water to fill the tub, then they all bowed and left, the girls blushing and giggling as the prince, soon to be king, took off his shirt and his jewelry, settign them on a stool to the side, and taking off his skirt, only to replace it with a towel which he could wear in the bathtub.He got in and beckoned Mida to get in with him."Come now..Don't be sshy."

Mida blushed at the offer... Of course... his pet was expected to bathe with him... The neko hesitated for a moment, before slowly unbuttoning the shirt, followed by shorts and shoes, as the removal of clothes seemed to, surprisingly reveal a sort of sport's bra and panties.. a dead givaway to the neko's gender. The now identified female then, out of modesty covered herself with the towel before removing the undergarments, and tucking the towel around herself before she shyly joined the Naga.

Emeralde smiled softly."Female, then..You'd make a fine little wife, if thingss ever end up going farther between uss.." He said, laughing softly as he relaxed in the hot water."Unlesss you find my looks dissgussting..I know mosst catkin don't exactly thing naga are the mosst handsome race.."

Mida sat there at one of the far ends of the tub, seeming to avoid sitting or making any other contact with his tail as to keep from hurting him... of course, the mention of becoming his wife made her blush... her? At her age..?

She then heard him say something about finding him disgusting, and only shook her head as if to say that she didn't find him very ugly at all...

"Can you tell me how old you are, anyway?" The naga prince said, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the heat of the water and the steam."I love taking bathss every night..The ssteam and the thingss I wassh my body with, along with the mineralss and ssuch in the water make my sskin sso ssoft.." He softly hissed happily, relaxing in his bath.

Telling him how old she was...? That was a lot easier said then done when she was a mute, especially without anything to write with... She looked around a bit for anything that could be used for counting.. and she was sure he wouldn't want her scratching on anything... she was hopeless... She gave an inaudible sigh.

"Hold up your fingerss to sshow me." Emeralde said, smiling at Mida."Hold up all of your fingerss for 10, then asss many more asss you need to sshow your complete age.Asss long asss you can count, that iss.."

Mida blinked a moment, and then began to hold up her fingers to the maximum of ten, then with a bit of effort raised her feet above the water, one of them only holding up the main toe for sixteen.

"Ssixteen?I'm only nineteen, sso you need not worry about any of thiss being sstrange, becausse of an age difference." He laughed."In fact, in naga villagess, commonerss tend to marry off their daughterss at around your age."

She blinked... at her age...? Well, maybe this wasn't as odd as she originally thought it was... especially given Emeralde's age... But regardless, would they really go farther between themselves..? Mida was already sharing the same bath with him, so it could be likely...
