A carriage made its way through a dense forest as the sun was continually dwindling past the horizon. The pace was unusually quicker than normal, given the legend that those who cross the forest at night are never seen alive at sunrise.

However, that legend will come true once more this night. One of the carriage's wheels slipped on running over a rock, causing the carriage to fall into a steep ditch, the coachman desperate to save his horses set them loose in time, sacrifing his life as well as that of the escorted's.

Once at the bottom of the ditch, the coachman had fallen a ways away from the carriage, and was most obviously dead. This left the one inside the carriage, the escorted, most likely either dead or dying within a closed off, dark and sideways tomb.

He wandered aimlessly through the dark forest. He didn't know where he was going, he had no aim whatsoever, but he just kept walking in a quick pace that showed him being irritated. Calm down... calm down... He kept telling himself, but it seemed to be of no use. He stopped and leaned against a tree, tilting his head up he tried to find the moon. The branches made it difficult.

Suddenly he heard something like a crash. Oh? Not again! he cursed and ran towards the direction where he heard the sound come from.

Iside the carriage was the uncouncious body of a young woman, trapped within the carriage's confines. Even if she had awoken, she would find that the only way out of the carriage was side-down on the ground, thus being blocked. Unless someone was somehow strong enough to lift the carriage, she would be trapped.

The young man arrived at the place in a matter of minutes, he carefully slid down the slope and looked around. It didn't seem that there would be any survivors left, he saw only few bodies, but just in case he looked inside the carriage. A beautiful young woman laid there, she seemed unconscious, but still alive. Because of how the carriage fell he couldn't reach the door, however he managed to break a big hole in another place and drag her out of there. He picked her up bridal style and just for a slight moment he gazed at her moonlit face.
No... he thought for himself and headed back to his house which was situated deep in the forest. It took him quite a while to reach the place with his load, but once he was inside he placed her in a spare bedroom on a huge bed and left .

The young woman remained uncouncious even as the man retrieved her from the carriage. It was only after a while past when he laid her on the bed that she slowly opened her eyes. She immediately realized that she was no longer in the carriage due to the changes in surrounding and tempurature. Slowly, she sat up to further take in her surroundings.

The man sat downstairs in his private library reading. He raised his head from his book and half smiled, "So, she's awake...." he said to himself and stood up from the armchair he was sitting on. He placed the book back into it's rightful place and then snapped his fingers. Instantly a plate with a delicious treat appeared on his hand.

He carried everything to her room and knocked on it, "May I come in?" he asked, his voice smooth and calming.

The man sat downstairs in his private library reading. He raised his head from his book and half smiled, "So, she's awake...." he said to himself and stood up from the armchair he was sitting on. He placed the book back into it's rightful place and then snapped his fingers. Instantly a plate with a delicious treat appeared on his hand.

He carried everything to her room and knocked on it, "May I come in?" he asked, his voice smooth and calming.

She continued to look around when she heard a knock at her door. The voice was unfamiliar to her, but regardless. "Yes, come in.." She replied. Maybe she could see who it was behind the door. Most likely the one who brought her here.

He opened the door and stepped in. Huge windows in the room let in the moonlight, that light illuminated a young tall man with a bit messy dark hair that fit him perfectly, his eyes were green though in that light they seemed to change to golden.
"I thought you might be hungry..." he spoke and placed the dish on the bed besides her. After doing that he took few steps back ready to leave.

She looked on at him, her long silky blonde hair's fringes partly blocking her sapphire eyes. She noticed him place the dish beside her before he began to leave. "Thank you... she simply replied as he left.

When she thanked him he stopped near the door and without turning around replied, "Take a rest, you're probably very tired..." he said and then left the room closing the door behind him.
Her image stood in front of his eyes for a while, but he just shook his head and went on to his own room.

She nodded a little as he told her she needed rest. Once he left the room, she took a bite from the treat he left her... it was delicious... though maybe she should save the rest for when she woke up... so she placed the plate on the bedstand before she began to fall asleep.

The young man took of his shirt and threw it on a chair near his bed. He fell on his bed feeling exhausted and with a thousand thoughts running through his head. Why did he save her? He knew he shouldn't have done that. Maybe its a little to late for regrets, but actually he wasn't regretting anything. Finally he had someone to communicate to, but for how long..? With those troubling thoughts he fell asleep.

She had been asleep in her bed for some time... It was only in the morning, when the sun's rays begin to shine through the window that she began to wake, opening her eyes. "Mmn.." She sat up, rubbing her eyes at the sight of her bedroom at morning time.

He woke up when the sun rays reached his eyes. He sat up and realized that he was still half in the same clothes he had on yesterday. The man stood up and went to have a shower. It was a quick one and he was ready again in no time at all, "Fang?" he called out and a huge white wolf came up to him. He petted the creature and called him to walk with him downstairs.
It was about time for breakfast, "Fang, could you invite our guest to come down for breakfast?"
"Yes, my Lord" the creature answered telepathically and went to get her. The wolf went right through the door and stood in front of her bed, The Master calls you for breakfast. The creature announced.

She gasped a bit as a huge wolf went through her room's door and stood in front of her bed. "Ah.. alright then.." She nodded a little, and got out of bed and went downstairs to where he was waiting.

By the time she came down, the table was set properly and he was sitting in a far end of the table. A place for her was prepared on the other end.
"Good morning." He greeted her, "Please, sit and join me for breakfast." As he said so the chair moved for her to sit.

She blinked as the chair seemed to move... by itself..? She shook it off, however, and sat down on the chair that she was offered.

He nodded after she sat down, " I apologize for my rudeness, my name is Alex. I hope you managed to get some rest after that... incident?" he started a conversation and prepared to eat.

"Ah, yes... I am Cassandra. And yes, I.. did get some rest afterwards.. though I'm still a little shaken, mind you..." She sighed and began to eat, herself.

Alex ate and watched her at the same time, "Cassandra... That's a very pretty name." He complimented. She was beautiful, he hasn't seen anyone like her for years.
"Where were you headed?" he asked curiously, wondering how she end up in a place like this.

"Thank you.." She nodded slightly between bites. "I was headed toward one of the towns connected through the forest as the only quickest way to get there. Unfortunately.. I suppose I wasn't as fortunate as the rest on that trip.." She said the last part almost depressedly.

"Oh?" he raised an eyebrow, "What was the purpose of this trip?" he continued questioning her, as far as he knew, the town that was beyond this forest was abandoned some time ago...

"We were looking to hopefully look over the town and see whatever was needed to begin work on re-establishment." She told him. "Things were believed to have returned partway to how it was founded since the town was abandoned, so we thought it was a good idea to start things anew..."
