She felt strange...As if Death clung to her. It was so cold and damp that she knew she must be lying in a cave or other such place even before she opened her eyes. Indeed, even as Lucyda raised the delicate lids of her pupil-less eyes, she realized that her previous assumptions were very true.

But for a long while she said and did and thought nothing. With her delicate, gloved hands folded neatly over her heart, she simply lay there, levitating steadily at least four feet above the chamber's cold, stone floor. She could see the room in which she lay with relative clarity, for her very skin emitted enough golden light to illuminate the space (one of the perks of being a star, she supposed), but barely gave thought to any of it. Only on the subconscious level did she even recognize that there in the room with her was another presence..

She shut her eyes gently, breathing evenly as she came to her senses. Her hair, a mass of wavy copper strands, was radiating about her as she thought, giving her the appearence of one floating at the center of some great body of water. What was she doing before she awoke? Dreaming?

She suddenly became very aware of everything, her eyes wide and searching as she drifted swiftly into a standing position with her sandaled feet planted firmly upon the floor. She could remember nothing. How long had she been in this place? Who had put her here? How had they captured her? Why was she taken? Where was she? She recieved no immediate answers.

It was then that her eyes came to rest upon the other entity in the room with her...

ooc: Alright, so basically my character is a sort of elemental-elf type creature-thing. xD Instead of the usual elements, however, (i.e. water, fire, earth, etc.) she is a solar elemental, and therefore possesses any and all 'powers' attributed to stars, nebuli, etc. Of course, she can only go so long without exposure to some form of natural light before falling into a state of deep hybernation, etc. so, Tiamos, you can probably see already some twists we can apply. ;3

Currently, they are both being kept in a small chamber as in a dungeon. Your character can know how long they've been there or whatever, but for now, Lucy knows nothing. ^^

Oh, and I forgot to ask you: are you comfortable with violence and romance and all that happy stuff?

He had to shake himself for a moment as he came to his senses, looking around in the confined space around him. Looking around at first all he could see was a glow shimmering in the distance, uncertain as to the source. He then looked around again and could see very little, not that that had changed for a while. Sitting himself up he was thankful that, if there was someone else in the room, he was covered up fairly well to greet them. That or they wanted him to be entertainment as they left the chest plate and armoured pants on him. It made him wonder what they kept him prisoner for.

It was then that he noticed the other presence in the room grow a little brighter, illuminating the room for him. As amazed as he was with the glow, he had to look away as it was a little bright for him to look at directly for that moment, having got slightly used to the darkness around him. That time he spent looking away he had spent studying his surroundings and the whereabouts of things around him: The sealed iron door that was the only way in or out, two beds to accustom two prisoners, the rest of the surroundings just aged brick that had many details on the people that lived here as they counted away the days they were prisoner here.

As the light dimmed and the entity appeared to recover consiousness he could see that she was an elf of some sort, judging from the long, flowing hair and the ears that were a hallmark stamp for elves. As for what elf, though, he could not tell: Never in his days had he come across one that radiated light save for the Moon Elves, but even they were rare and exotic creatures that didn't emit as much light as this one had. There was something about her that suggested that she wasn't an elf at all though, but Tiamos couldn't put his finger on it, gazing to her with muted wonder as he studied her frame even as she was landing on her feet. He could tell that she was bewildered by her current presence here, something he could understand considering how she was brought in here in that current state of levitation.

As he was aware that he was spotted though, he smiled to her, giving a gentle nod as if to welcome her to his home - even if it wasn't his intended home. "I see you're finally awake." He stepped towards the door, looking out of the small window that was there to see if anyone was nearby but he could hear no sound or see anyone close by. "I guess they wanted to sneak you in so they left you in with me." His gaze then turned back to the female. "I was likely asleep as well when they brought you in. They're a devious lot, I'll give them that. Gutsy too."

His hand extended out to her. "My name's Tiamos Loren. May I ask yours, miss?"

If Tiamos thouht that Moon Elves were rare, he had probably never before met a Star. Lucyda's race was deceptively abundant to the naked eye whe one turned one's eyes to the heavens on any given night. From Earth alone, thousands upon thousands of twinkling entities could be seen, even with the Moon dominating the night sky and distorting the darkness with a pale reflection of the nearest Star's glow. In actuality, Stars were very lonesome creatures. For all they were practically immortal, a single Star would be lucky to meet even one other of her race in any of her life times. The universe was the range of the Stars, but with such ungodly distances between any two celestial bodies, it would probably be very difficult for a mortal to comprehend how very solitary the lifestyle of a Star was.

The golden glow that encased the edges of Lucyda's body dimmed considerably. The darkness of the enclosure made her instinctively wish to conserve her energy (nearly unbounding as it was) and so she withdrew it all to her very core. In the dimness, her eyes swiftly adjusted (accustomed as she was to long stretches of floating aimlessly through the black void that was space) and she carefully swept them over the man as he spoke. His words were slightly unfamiliar to her; she hadn't met any member of any species (including her own) for such a long while that any language but her own sounded strange on her ear.

The instant she recalled the meaning of each word the creature uttered, however, Lucyda's attention was immediatley drawn to is excessive use of the words 'they' and 'them'. Hardly waiting for him to finish (and blatantly ignoring the request for her name), the Star spoke aloud in a strange voice. It gave one the impression of a choir of women speaking in unison, their echoes reverberating from the high, vaulted ceilings of some great cathedral, "Who are 'they'?" Her accent was very much like that of the Elves: soft and rolling, commanding and coaxing all at once.

Hardly aware of her own rudeness, Lucyda stepped briskly over to where the man stood and circled him with a searching, piercing gaze, "You are of...magic folk?" She hardly waited for a response, "--..Do not stare at me." She practically hissed, somewhat offended by the way he studied her, her lips curling slightly in distaste. But she suddenly lost interest in the creature (she, much like all Stars, was really only drawn to the brilliantly-colored or the blindingly-bright) and drifted toward the door and then back to the place she had been hovering before, obviously agitated by the small space she had been given to occupy.

Tiamos had to take a few minutes to understand this figure as the light she emitted dimmed once again, being able to see some resemblance of an outline of her figure as he listened to her words, the sound almost elven in its tone, asking who they were. Just as he was about to answer though, she was asking if he was a magical kind, his gaze following her as she encircled him. The sudden outburst from her then made him wonder what was wrong with her, observing her some more then as he came to realise that this space was clearly too much for whatever this person was.

-Well whatever...looks like I'm gonna have to break some seals and get this creature out if I expect something intelligent out of her.- Tiamos thought to himself, giving off an agitated sigh as he clicked his fingers, a spark of flame lighting on his fingertips, guiding it from his hand to outside the door, using it to see if anyone was nearby. "I guess that answers your second question, miss." He commented somewhat coldly, seeing then that there was nobody around, guiding the flame into the lock, the heat from it melting the base iron that had been used to keep people from going out of the door. "As for your first, how about you come and find out for yourself?"

To be honest with himself, he had no real idea about the group himself, only they gave praise to each other by saying something that started with 'Let the Cobra...' Though why they would symbolize the cobra may have been a mystery, it was no secret that they kept prisoners, other cries from the cells reaching out as some others that had been captured ended up waking to find themselves locked in this prison. Flicking his wrist he illuminated the immediate surroundings again, studying the walls to see if they gave any guide as to the way out but there was nothing. Looking down both ends of the hall he also noticed that it wound in a circular fashion, with all the doors and walls looking the same.

"Illusionary tactics to make sure people don't escape..." He commented softly. "They really are a devious lot, these cobra worshippers..." Closing his eyes he attempted to find out the exit in doing so but a sharp sting in his mind told him that the choice was not a good one, falling to his knees as he fought off the psychic attack, shaking his head as he recovered himself. "They got a block on my abilities as well...whoever these people are, they know how to keep all sorts of prisoners down here..." His gaze continued to look around, turning back then to the cell that he left the female inside of. "If you have any magic of your own, conserve it the best you can. And don't try to search for the way out like I just did, they got something at work here to harm anyone that tries."

Even Tiamos had to admit that it took a bit of a strain on his own willpower, something he couldn't afford to waste.

The instant the flame flickered into life in Tiamos' hand, Lucyda's attention was captivated. Light! There was a source of light and warmth beyond herself in this dark and forsaken place! And it was this strange male creature that possessed it...The woman cocked her head to one side in an innocent and almost demure fashion as she quietly drifted back to the man and followed him about as he wandered. She was drawn like a moth to the flame he carried for it was a thing very much familiar to her. Her eyes never left it, its red and gold tongues reflected in her golden orbs as she watched him melt the lock.

She let him talk. No response was necessary, she supposed, for he appeared to be talking more to himself than to her. He spoke of illusions and traps and other such nonsense, but Lucyda paid little heed to any of it until Tiamos fell to the ground, removing from her veiw the blessed flame he'd been carrying. Her smooth, pale face fixed in a gentle, almost sweet expression (she felt it necessary to be on good terms with anything or anyone that had anything to do with light or fire and especially when in her current state, weak and edgy), she came beside the man and knelt down, not daring to touch him, "Why would they make escaping our room so simple if they did not wish for us to escape?"

The way Lucyda saw it, she may very well have awakenedto find herself at the center of a strange sort of labyrinth. The winding, unchanging passageway and general air of mystery and magic alike only bolstered the plausibility of the idea in her mind...

"'Cobra'?" She repeated, her nose wrinkled and brow furrowed as she tried to remember what such a thing was. A memory was brought before her mind's eye and she nodded slowly, "Ah...It is a reptile? Like this?" She lifted a hand and traced her forefinger across the stones. Her finger left a glowing trail in the shape of a snake rearing its ugly, fanged head. She gestured toward the drawing and looked back at Tiamos for a response, "...Cobra?"

It had taken him a moment to realise that the female had suddenly appeared attentative of him, wondering what made her change her attitude so suddenly as he watched her draw the image of a cobra upon the wall - though 'drawing' was just the way she did it, the actual lines she created more like a glowing string. Seeing how the drawing emitted a light, he reminded himself that his own light had extinguished as he fell to the ground, a click of his fingers, igniting another flame on the tip of his palm, looking around once again as the first question she had asked struck him.

"Perhaps this is no ordinary prison..." Thomas commented. "The lock that was there seemed unbelieveably easy to break, most locks in dungeons are more solidly made..." He closed his eyes. "No...the door is the easy part...but they likely have traps and beasts behind the doors, waiting for some unexpecting victim to go bursting in and meeting their foolish demise." He looked back to the female. "This place is designed to keep people in, not the room. Those that don't try to escape stay safe and protected, those that try have to face whatever the people behind this have arranged: traps, beasts, guards...they made it so nothing gets out, only in." The fire in his hand seemed to glow brighter then, its shape altering to something akin to a sword. "Don't worry though - that won't happen to you. Not as long as I live."

Softly he walked around the hall, turning to the first door he came across. Taking a small spark from the sword he guided it through the window of the room, instantly igniting a reaction as the sound of metal clashing against stone could be heard, mechanical whirring going on in the background as he realised that the flame he had guided in there had vanished, looking in the window then to see, taking another spark from his sword to spot the collection of spears that had broken against the western wall, shaking his head to the sight and dismissing the spark, turning back to the female.

"Just as I thought. Some of these rooms are booby-trapped." His head looked ahead to the other doors. "We must be careful what doors we choose, because to open the wrong one could mean the last door that we open." His free hand had gently rubbed against his chest for a moment, sighing softly as his eyes closed and his head lowered. "I have to admit...I fear for my life now...it's the first time I've felt that feeling in many a year...but I can't stop here and do nothing." He gazed forward once more. "We'll get out of this. We just have to be careful about how we go about it."

Having cleared the first door, he scorched an X on the door with the sword, knowing the fate of those that would open it.
