has long, light blonde hair that flutters down past her waist. Her eyes just a slight mixture of pale green with a bright blue. She was slightly tall for her age, with a slim build.
Bio: Her parents had dided when she was young, but while they had been alive her mother had sensed a power in her. Something speacial, she always told Lana. Something that not alot of people had, especially girls. Her mother had sent her off with a priestess to learn how to harness the power.

Eventually when her parents did die she sort of withdrew from the world. Focusing souly on her work. Soon after learning everything she could from the priestess and was sent to a highpriestess who tells her she has an impossibly large task ahead in the future. Normaly she was cold to people, but loyal and trustful. She was meticulous about almost everything she did. She tryed to keep a distance from everyone in oreder not to grow to close. Fearing she would only hurt then or be hurt because of when her parents died.

Has messy black hair that falls to the sides of his face and emerald green eyes. He's slightly on the skinny side, but very toned.
Bio: The fourth and youngest son to a peasant couple on the outskirts of the capital city. All his life, people have told him that he would grow up to be nothing more than a farmer. While his older brothers learned how to plant crops, Ray decided to learn the art of the spear from a retired night. Day and night, he fought the fate that he was born into. Finally, at 11, he was taken up as a squire by a knight who saw the potential in him. Now, at 20, Ray has become the full-fledged knight he always dreamed to be and is getting his first quest; protecting a young priestess on her task.

Ray is pretty much a cocky, stubborn boy who though looks grown up, still acts very much like a kid. He speaks his mind and doesn't care what people think of him. He's very blunt and very dense, picking things up slower than most people. He has a short-temper, but a really friendly guy if you get past his rough exterior. He's pretty cheerful to others once you get on his good side.

Lana scoffed as the priest told her she was to be protected as she was to do her task. She was not quite sure what the task was yet, they had told her nothing. Only that it was important and she was the only that could do it. Then her eyes widened as she remembered what the highpriestess had said. She had an impossibly large task ahead.

Rhis must be it then... she tohught to herself. "Whatever, I'll be in the courtyard. Send me when I must do something or whatever." she said coldly a shse went out of the room, heading for the courtyard. She sat on one of the stone benches, staring out into spacem thinking.

"Ray, Ray, RAY!!" "What?!" The black haired man asked, looking away from the spear he was cleaning to the older man standing in front of him, "What is it general?" "Listen to me when I'm talking to you!" He yelled. "I am." "Then what did I say?" "Um..." "Exactly. Now listen." The general cleared his throat before speaking, "Your first quest as a knight is to protect the newest high priestess. She is to venture forth across the land until she reaches the Temple of the Gods." "I thought that place was only in made-up myths." Ray retorted. "Apparently not. Now go to the Capital's temple, they're waiting you." The general ordered. He sighed as he stood up and swung the spear so that it was hanging from his back. "See ya." He muttered as he walked out of the knight's courtyard and headed to the temple on the other side of the capital.

Once he got there, he got a greeting from the priest who directed him to where the high priestess was. "I should warn you." The priest said, "She is a bit..." "Tiny? Weak?" Ray guessed. "Uh, you'll find out." The priest replied as he pointed to the gardens, "Priestess Lana awaits." Ray shrugged as he walked out to the gardens, looking around until he spotted a girl sitting on a bench. "Um... hey?" He greeted.

Lana's mind had been wandering from one thought to the next. All focused around what the mission would be. She snapped out of her thoughts as she heard a voice. She looked up to see a man that seemed not much older than she. She looked him up and down, apparently evaluating him.

She stood up and turned to him, taking a moment to respond. "What?" She asked in a monotone voice. She figured this was the knight who'd be prtecting her. She figured by how she seen him, that he thought highly of himself, might be cocky, and seemed like someone who wouldn't care what others said about him, "I take it you're the knight that'll be protecting me."

"Um... yeah." Ray replied, trying so hard not to ask what her problem was. He was in front of a priestess so he couldn't be rude, "And I take it you're the priestess. They need us in the main temple room, so let's go?"

Lana just nodded and looked at him blankly. She stood up and walked past him into the main temple room. she might of well had just stayed there instead of going off for only a few moments of peace.

Ray just sighed. 'Great I get a cold one...' He thought as he followed her inside. The priest and high priestess stood in front of the large statue, waiting for the two. "There you are." The priest announced, "Come closer. We need to inform you of your journey."

Lana nodded and walked forward, she nodded to the high priestess in aknowledgement. She turned back to the priest, waiting for him to speak. Her mind wandered again to the journey."

Ray followed her and stood next to the priestess as the priest cleared his throat. "As the two of you know, the land is blanketed in a darkness that threatens to destroy each and every one of us." He started, "The only way to destroy the darkness is to find the Temple of the Gods, ask them for their assistance, and defeat the main cause of our land's chaos." "How do we find the Temple?" Ray asked. The high priestess stepped forward and pointed a long pale finger at the girl standing beside him, "Lana has the power we have been searching for. She can find the Temple." She announced.

Lana's eyes for a moment were wide with suprise. But the suprise disapeared behind an expressionless mask. Lana nodded, "So, I am to try and use my power to find this 'Temple of the Gods' then. I suppose I am to sense a certain power. Correct?"

"Yes." The high priestess replied, "You are the only one who can communicate with the Gods. Use all the training you've learned these past years to figure out how." The woman then turned to Ray who flinched. "Ray, you are her protector. Her life is in your hands and you must see to it that she is never to be harmed." "I understand." He replied as he nodded seriously. "If you two don't have anymore questions, then I will give you your supplies and money and you may set off on your journey." The priest stated. "I don't." Ray said as he glanced at Lana, "How 'bout you?"

Lana glanced over at Ray, "No, I do not either. Give us our things and we shall be on our way." she said as she turned back to the Highpriestess. She ran over in her mind all of her training, trying to remember everything she had been taught. She then decided she will have to learn to speak to the Gods on her own and learn a few more things before they would be able to find the Temple.

Ray nodded and took the two bags from the priest. One of the bags held a pouch of money from the strap. He grinned and slung that bag over his shoulder while handing the other one to Lana. "Here."

Lana took it from him and strapped it on. She looked at him, a slight smile twitching at the corners of her mouth. She shook her head, she decided there was no need for emotions, "Come, let's head out. I want to make it to the village by night fall." She said.

She had been refering to the village that was towards the Sotuh. The legends always said that the temple was located somewhere towards the South, but never specifically where.

Ray nodded before turning to the priest and high priestess. "See ya." He said, giving a mock salute before walking out of the temple room. He waited for Lana to say her good-byes patiently, wondering if he had seen a ghost of a smile on her face.

Lana felt the smile twitching at her lips again, this time turning into a faint smile as he did the mock salute. She quickly turned around, "Good bye..." she said, her vice trailing off as she started to walk.

Once Lana walked out of the temple, Ray followed her closely. "So... why are we going south?" He asked, trying to start up a conversation with the cold girl.

Lana looked at him, not as coldly this time, "We are heading South beacause as the legends have said the temple lies somewhere south. I very much had figured you knew since almost everyone reads or atleast ahas heard of the legend at least once."

You've never met me." Ray replied as he quickened his pace now that he knew where he was headed, "I don't spend my time reading about stupid fairy tales."

Lana glared at him coldly, quickening her pace as well, "Stupid fairy tales? How dare you say that, it was part of my studies to learn about it. If you think your training or job is more important then mine, then enlighten me on why."

"Woah, calm down missy." Ray defended as he raised his hands up to shield from her glare, "I didn't mean my job was better than yours. I never had time to read fairy tales since I was either training or getting my butt kicked."

Lana turned her head away, "And like I haven't trained and gotten my butt kicked. It's all about becoming a priestess and such. And besides they aren't fairytales they're legends."

"Whatever you say, great priestess." Ray replied, not wanting to argue. He whistled as he started kicking a rock in boredom. The rock he kicked flew into a bush. That's when it started to rustle. "Uh oh, get behind me." He muttered when the bush began convulsing uncontrollably.

Lana sighed, He is so imature... she thought to herself, then jumped slightly when the bushes had started to rustle. She blinked, then shook her head when he had told her to get behind him, "NO, I am able to take care of myself." She said, then glanced at the bush and decided to get back beside him, not quite behind him though.
