After receiving his drink, Fayne took a swig of it, licking his lips at the taste of the alcohol. "Fayne." He could feel himself under scrutiny and turned over taking his handshake. "Yeah. You too?" Might as well make yourself more well-known while you're here. He thought to himself. It wasn't as if he was all that famous. Infamous, maybe. He had scantly heard of someone named Shion, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Ignoring that, he downed the rest of his beer. He heard the tinkling sound, signifying another customer came in. He didn't look over, figuring that it was no one new. Only when Shion remarked something did he look over. Ah it was the jewelery peddler. Wasn't she a little young to be in a bar? Not he knew of any age limits here.

'I haven't annoyed somebody enough for them to send an assassin... Have I? Or has somebody seen through my Terran act? Well, now is just as good as anytime to die I suppose.'
"One whiskey and a roast pork sandwich." She sat farther down the bar, making sure not to touch Fayne and Shion on her way and started immediately to work on her logs. 'If I ignore them, they'll ignore me hopefully.' Soon she became immersed in her work, only pausing after her order arrived to pay. When she finished with her calculations, she stretched her fingers and cracked her knuckles and wrists and finally started to eat her lunch, savoring each burning sip of alcohol that followed a bite of her oily sandwich, successfully forgetting about the odd pair of travelers from before and her odd morning. Until a crash broke her peaceful mind set. It seemed like a buddy of one of the brawlers had arrived to finish the fight. She only stared at the fight, detached. These things happened more than she could even count, she could barely pull up a sense of pity, much less disgust. It was a world of survival in the desert. Best not to get involved anymore than one had to. |
Alexandr looked at Rion curiously, unsure of where the voice was coming from. 'I will if you tell me who you are." Alexandr said unemotionally as she circled around the body before kneeling down in the sand next to rion, carefully trying not to ruin her clothes. "And where you are."

"I'm the Goddess Hanastasha. I reside inside this boy's necklace, he's an Envoy of legend. He needs to go to a cleric or someone who can help him." Hanastasha said.

"Goddess" Alexandr repeated after the voice, sounding somewhat critical of the word. It was fairly easy to say the brunette was critical of any higher being. "Fine, Ill take him to the mansion." She muttured, now regretting not taking the horse as she picked Rion up, carfully to avoid the blood, and slipped his arm around her shoulder as she put her arm around his back so she could hold him up. "And why is a Goddess inside this boy's necklace?" Alexandr asked as she began her trek back home. She knew there the Governess could do something to help Rion until the doctor came. And if it was for their family he would be there faster then one could blink. "And why did the boy faint?"

"I'm inside this necklace so that I may help Rion find the other Envoys, but I don't think that any other Envoy other than Mixi will listen. Rion is a unique Envoy and his powers are great but they have a drawback. Tell me....Alexandr are you skeptical at the fact that I'm a Goddess? Surely you know of the Ancient War and the Origins of Darkness.....those were dark times for the species of this world, many people were slaughtered and so much destruction was created. I made the Envoys as living proof to save the planet and its inhabitants only their power can save this planet now.....for the day of reckoning has come.....Agito of the Dark Resonance has returned to reap his revenge on all of us." Hanastasha said. "Didn't you receive the message from the stars?" Hanastasha said all-knowingly. Hanastasha knew that this particular maiden is the Envoy of the Stars.

As soon as Hanastasha started talking about the Ancient war Alexandr half zoned out. It was probably a conditioned reaction since that had been her state of mind during each History lessons, not to mention there was still some History to cover! "I wouldnt say that Im skeptical of you being a Goddess" Alexandr said flatly. Of course she couldnt question that, the voice was coming out of the boys necklace for goodness sake. No it was the power of Gods and Goddesses that Alexandr questioned. In her opinion they were as helpful as a drunken bum. Even in the case of the Envoy's, if what the Goddess was saying was true, what was the point in creating the envoy's if the man was going to come back again?
Alexandr continued listening in this absent minded fashion until the Goddess mentioned the star's. Then the girl seemed to jump and look shocked, almost dropping Rion in the process. "I dont know what you are talking about." Now some emotion came out in her words, the emotion of testiness. After all, her strange ability was a secret only her noble parents knew. Then there was the memory of the star's a few night's ago when they had become very cryptic in their conversation with her and Alex had been forced to spend the whole night interpreting what they meant. "We are almost there." She muttured, controlling her voice enough to go back to its normal monotone as her mansion came into sight. |
"I see......then I will not say anything. If you don't want me to reveal your true identity I won't.......however I feel like I should tell you apart of the story that was not mentioned in those history books. Agito 'was' sealed through the efforts of this young man. He is the one who sealed Agito away. Rion....doesn't remember any of his true past in fact because his soul has been sleeping for a long time. I reincarnated him to protect this world again. I pray that he'll be stronger this time.....otherwise.....we'll all die. We need to destroy Agito this time so that Agito stays erased from our planet." Hanastasha said. "Agito.....the alien parasite infected this planet long ago.....someone must have released the seal by accident."

Alexandr remained quiet as she half dragged half carried Rion's body. Of course he was an envoy, because Envoy's faint all the time in the middle of the desert.
"Not a thing?" She asked suddenly, feeling some sympathy for the wanna be envoy. It seemed he had a situation similar to her's at least in that area. But an envoy? Really? Hell, she actually had an easier time believing Rion was an envoy compared to her being one as the Goddess seemed to imply. "I cant leave." Alexandr sort of burst out with this as she walked threw the gates and up towards the House's staircase. "I have obligation's here, who will take over when father dies?" It seemed as if Alexandr was trying to make atonement for refusing the Goddess, something very unlike herself. She got quiet for another minute as the gaurds came out and tried taking Rion from here to take inside. "Just let me think about it okay?" She muttured before one of the gaurd's picked up Rion's body and took him inside to lay in a spare bedroom while Alexandr followed after ordering the other one to fetch the Doctor. |
"Hmm.....are you okay Rion?" Hanastasha said.
Rion moaned a bit. Some of Rion's insides were crushed by his powers. ".....ugh, I could be worse, at least it wasn't as bad as last time.....augh!" Rion started to cough up more blood. "Stop talking, you'll only hurt yourself more!" Hanastasha said. "Anyways I wish I could help but I'd need a body of my own so I can help you. Well....just wait for a cleric or a doctor to help you out okay?" Rion nodded as he closed his eyes and rested. |
Mixi watched from a few feet away, watching as Rion suffered. She wanted to do something, but she wasn't sure what was best. She took her crystal in her hand, thinking of anything she knew, but nothing came to mind. "C'mon Crys, tell me what to do..."

When the gaurd left, Alexandr shut the door to the bedroom before sighing and turning to the boy who had awoken long enough to talk to his necklace before going to sleep. "What did he do?" Alex asked as she approached the bed, referring the question to the Goddess so as to prevent causing the boy more pain. "Get into a fight with the wrong people?" It wouldnt be the first time that ever happened to someone, especially a person of Rion's age.
Far away the gaurd was now entering the city, his horse sweating from a combination of the run, the desert, and the gaurds whip. Hopping off, the gaurd only needed to mention who his lord was to cause the Doctor to gather his supplies and hasten to the door with a quick good bye to his wife. "Who's the sick one?" He asked as soon as he got outside and climbed onto the gaurds horse. He would take the horse to the mansion while the Gaurd waited for the doctor's horse to get saddled and ready. "I dont know, some friend of the daughter I believe. Strange though, I dont remember her having any friends. At least any she felt like bringing home." The doctor nodded, not bothering to answer the gaurd, before kicking the horse to get it moving towards the mansion. |
"You could say that." Shion said with a smirk before tapping the other mercenary's shoulder. Want to have some fun?" He muttured before standing up and walking over to the obviously uncomfortable girl. "Hows it going?" He asked, placing a hand on the girl's papers before sitting down in the seat next to her. "Me and my friend here couldnt help but notice how out of place you look." He said, leaning against the bar's counter and narrowing his eye's at the girl. "What, you need someone taken care of?"

' Oh great...' There was no way of avoiding eye contact now.
"No thank you, I'm fine with the way things are right now." She did a quick look over of her papers then put them back into her accounting book, hopefully safe from their prying eyes and hands. He was too close for her liking, but it wasn't like she could deal with him the same way as other men. This one was actually dangerous and had back up. Placing a small tip near her plate and taking a final swig of whiskey, Tira stood up to leave and did a small bow to the two killers. "Have a good day and many successful missions." Then she just quickly walked out to get back to the comfort of being surrounded by vendors. |
"Ah, what a shame." shion said, his eyes teasing as Tira stood up. It had been awhile since he had had a little fun. The past few weeks had been nthing but work, work, work.
Yet even as Tira was walking away Shion did not rise to follow her, instead glancing at Fayne with no sign on his face of any happiness. "So Fayne, how did you get into this wonderful business?" He asked, returning his attention to the boy with a sigh. He had that urge again, the urge to release a surge of power that seemed to burn at his hands and chest.Though his face didnt reveal it, he anxiously hoped Fayne would offer some distraction from the necromatic power that had suddenly become strong when Shion realized he was in a room filled with death. |
Just as the doors closed at her heels, Tira felt a shiver go down her spine. She could subconsciously feel the evil urges Shion had, animal instincts telling her to run away from the building. But she couldn't rationalize the reaction and shrugged it off and kept walking. Once she got back to her area, Nic popped out and drew her attention to the safe. He had 'found' coins and piled them on top, next to a small piece of sausage that was probably stolen from an unlucky meat vendor. She sighed and just pushed the money into her safe and took the accessories out again.
"You probably shouldn't be doing that, but who am I to complain? Your little habit has earned us a lot of money..." He just climbed up her arm and nuzzled her cheek, knowing she wasn't mad. "But no more running around the bar, ok? There are some people in there who would happily skin you alive. Now go finish your meat while I set up again." And so a sense of normality returned and she relaxed, no longer feeling suspicious eyes cast upon her for the moment. |

Fayne shrugged as he saw Shion look at him. He looked back at the other hunter's face which looked pretty straight, but he seemed a bit anxious, but he brushed it off. "I figured that after years of searching for something and not finding anything I might as well put my talents to use. What's your story?"

((Sorry I was gone for 2 weeks my mom went to San Franscisco to see my Step-Dad, and I had to go to my aunt and I couldn't use her computer.))
"He used his powers, his powers are excruiatingly painful but they are powerful. Rion was not in a fight with someone, but he was trying to recruit an Envoy." Hanastasha said. "However though.....it resulted in his own pain. The envoy that Rion spoke to would not believe him, only one girl did for she accepted her fate as an Envoy but uhm.....Rion believes that the girl's hasty actions might get other people killed. She has a good heart, but I fear that what she holds dear to her heart might cause her to face her own fears and actions." Hanastasha said calmly. Hanastasha was worried about Rion. "Hanastasha, who are you speaking to?" Rion said with his eyes closed. "Is she the one who saved me?" Rion wanted to open his eyes but the strain was getting aggreviating. Rion clenched his teeth, ".....it hurts....." Rion said slowly. |
Back at her small shop, Tira let out a sneeze.
'I wonder who was thinking of me?' |
Shion held back a laugh at Fayne. Well, at least the boy was good at giving his history without revealing too much. Flexing his wrist again, Shion nodded at him before gesturing for an other drink from the bartender. "I found underground work made the most money. When I was offered this as a job it all fell into place. " As the drink was placed on the counter, Shion grabbed it and took a quick swig. Today was as good a day as any to get drunk, at least that would make the itch stop. "We've accepted the strangest position's in life havent we?"

"Uh Huh." Alexandr said absentmindedly. Case in point, it seemed to her that this boy, Rion as the voice called him, got into an argument with a girl he was good friends with and the second girl joined Rion and teamed up against her. At this point Alex felt worse for the lone girl. "So then where is his friend?" Alexandr wasnt really that interested but she felt keeping the goddess talking would make the woman feel better.
While she talked and listened however, Alexandr had walked into her bathroom and had had hot water running until one of her hand towel's was soaked through. Turning it off, the girl wrung the towel out before walking back into the room to place it on Rion's eye's. "Itll hurt more if you keep trying to look." She muttured to the boy as he tried to open his eye's. "Now stay still and dont try anything until the doctor gets here. |
"Uhm.....the girl wasn't a friend of his. Rion was just trying to recruit her to help out with our cause. "Without all the Envoys, this planet shall surely die along with its inhabitants." Hanastasha said.
Rion smiled and laughed a bit, "You remind me of my sister. You're very kind but I must go on with my journey, regardless of my pain and injuries." Rion said with a bit of strain in his voice. Rion tried to get up but blood started to sweep out from his lips. "Damn....white magic could stop the pain....or Luna's magic could help even better....but I'm not sure where the Envoy of the Stars is....and Mixi, I'm sure she'll might blow me up by accident." Rion said softly. |
"Yes that does put a damper on thing's." Alexandr said in her monotonous way as she firmly pushed Rion back down onto the bed. "But seeing as how we have no "Envoy of the Star's" or "White magic" Youll just have to make due with the doctor, he'll be here soon enough." She muttured uncareingly. In all honesty, Alexandr did not know that it was she that Rion was talking about. In fact, if he hadnt of said star's she probably wouldnt appear as interested as she did for that brief second. However the girl had quickly dismissed it deciding her feeble powers were not 'envoy' matierial. "I think you at least owe it to me for getting you this far to let me finish makeing sure your okay ."

"Very well then, I'll stay still and wait. As long as the doctor doesn't touch my old wounds. They may be scars but they are sensitive to feeling." Rion said. Rion felt an odd energy within the girl even if he could not see it. But Rion ignored it, he doesn't want to be bothered with the fact that this girl that saved him, will be skeptical about destiny and the Dark Resonance.
((Since I can't find anymore Remnants I'll just start off by using Agito.)) "I wait no more! I don't care if the other come or not. Alastor, Cain, since you two are the only ones who heeded my calling, I'll get straight to the point. I want my real body back at all costs. Bring me the Seven Artifacts of Edena, I need them to bring back my body, while you're at it, you can have some fun with the pathetic fools who forgot about our existence!" Agito said. Agito was very pissed at the fact that none of the other Remnants appeared except for Alastor and Cain. "Anything for you, Master." Alastor said with a smile. "I'll start searching right away!" And with that said Alastor disappeared into darkness and reappeared in the desert city. Alastor stood on the rooftop of a building. "Now where to start?" Alastor said with an evil grin. |
