"No thanks, they are perfectly fine as they are. Kid, do you still need medical attention? 'Cuz one, don't you think we should look for those poor unfortunate souls that are envoys? You and the goddess can probably sniff them out, right?" Tira prayed to no deity in particular that the others of the group were more interesting and useful. Alexandr was not a amazingly strong fighting type, and she could use somebody that she could talk to freely. She couldn't help slipping into a servant mode when around the little baroness-to-be.
'And if any more envoys turn up to be zealots like Rion, I'm going to tear my horns out...

"I see then....suit yourself." Rion said. Rion looked at the alchemy pot, "I evoke the servant of fire, please heed your contract with me and set your flames upon this object. Spirit of Fire emblaze!" Rion chanted as a low fire surrounded the pot's base. Rion then placed his sword inside the pot and added a few materials inside as well. "Oh blessed one, grant this blade strength as the moon's light embraces through, spirit of battle forge this blade in the flames of life." After Rion chanted, the timer on the alchemy pot made a noise. "Oh, it's done." Rion proclaimed. Rion checked to see if his blade was finished. Rion pulled out the blade from the pot and saw that the blade took a new form, it glistened brightly and beautifully in the moon's light. Rion smiled at his new sword. Rion put his sword inside its sheath. "Well if no one would like to try synthesis, that's okay. I'll just put the alchemy pot back inside my pouch." Rion said as he grabbed the pot which was no longer hot and placed it back inside the pouch which seemed to have swallowed the pot whole without changing the size of the pouch. "That's much better." Rion looked at Shion who was in turn looking at the group. "Where are you going?" Rion asked as he walked closer to Shion. Rion could smell a strange scent on Shion which made him feel numb inside. Rion was enticed by Shion's scent, "I smell something, something I can't describe in you.....why?" Rion asked.

Shion was getting ready to leave, after making a face of Tira for the hell of it, when Rion suddenly pulled out a pot and his weapon from what looked like to Shion, thin air. So now he's a magician? Shion wondered before examining closer and discovering a small pouch that Rion supposedly had drawn the pot from. "Hell..." He muttured, turning to leave again when Rion started acting like he really was a magician and began to chant like some lunatic.
Suddenly feeling bad for the girl's he had abandoned, Shion stayed rooted to the ground until Rion was in front of him, sniffing. "You probably just smell the alcohol." He said with a tiny smirk as he unconsciously took a step back. "Since you obviously arent old enough to know what it tastes and smells like right?" Apparently Shion had to make a jab at Rion after being sniffed like that

"At least someone knows how to appreciate her superior's." cain said, turning his grin on Jeera and Alastor. "Fine, Forest it is. Tell you what Alastor, if I see someone who looks like Elizabeth Ill bring her back for you okay?" Cain muttured, his head cocked to the side again before laughing and vanishing as he teleported to the nearest forest.

Rion felt the jab but it didn't felt that painful. "Uhm, I don't think it's alcohol that I'm smelling. I know what alcohol smells like because my Master who taught me blade arts drank on certain occasions. But this smell that's coming from you, it smells closely related to.....Death." Rion said. Rion wondered why he was enticed by such a dangerous scent. Rion shook his head from thinking about it. "Uhm, I'm sorry about this weird incident, and I'm sorry about this mess that the Remnants caused. I feel really bad that Alastor turned you into a hostage. Even though Regulas possessed me, I could see everything that went on. Uhm, tell me, were you surprised when Regulas summoned the creatures of the Spectral Plane? I can tell that you have that similar power." Rion said. "I'm not going to say you should join me in my quest, I'm tired of asking especially when people are skeptical like that dragonian over there. I'd rather have someone join out of their own choice. So if you want to join you may, if you don't want to that's fine as well. Besides I'm afraid of losing people again like last time......I don't want to experience that again." Rion said in a sad tone.

"Yeah, yeah sure." Alastor said. Alastor looked at Cain and started to spaz out. "Cain! Elizabeth can't be replaced it's impossible!" Alastor said in a spazzy tone.

Shion's eyes narrowed at Rion and all hint of playfulness on his face vanished to reveal his natural hardened face. "Death?" He repeated, his mind reeling to figure out how RIon could smell such a thing. But if he was talking about the creatures Shion could summon that had to be the main reason. Shion wasnt so stupid to not realize what it was he was summoning. The scythe that refused to let go of him was only further proof. "Well Im glad you feel that way." Shion replied his eyes flicking towards Tira then back at Rion as his fist clenched the rope of pearls that wrapped around his arm. "Im not a good guy and I don't pretend to be." He said roughly as he stared down at Rion. "And as far as I can tell your the good guys. " It wasnt a question of whether or not Rion was telling the truth. Shion could easily believe that after what had happened. It was more a question of if Shion's way of mind could be changed.
After that it looked like Shion was going to walk away before thinking better of it. "As for losing people, You should know the answer to that. If you dont want to lose them, be strong enough to protect them."

Cain only faintly heard Alastor's freaked out yells as he left the building and appeared in the nearest forest area. As quiet as it was in the base, the forest could give it a good run for its money. Not even the animals spoke. Of course this could be because of Cain's presence or it could actually be the forest was normally this way. No matter, it didnt concern him. He just wondered if Jeera and Lily would speed it up.

Tira had her face planted in one of her palms, completely exasperated with Rion's behavior.. "I didn't really mean sniff out the people... You know the expression, right? Or was that before your time?" It is amazing the difference a few years can make... So far, it seemed only the callous assassins had any sense of sanity, and she was stuck with very people who repelled that sort. But that reminds me...
"Besides the fact that you have to be strong enough keep people around you. Hey Rion, don't you have your girlfriend who was hanging around my shop earlier. Don't tell me she died already or something."

Jeera appeared right next to Cain, eager to leave the presence of the freaked out Alastor. "You'd be surprised how easy it is to follow you." She cackled and broke silence, her impish laughter cutting through the empty forest area.

Rion smiled at Shion, "I see, you're just as how I imagined you'd be. Nevertheless I like you, Shion, Envoy of Death. Uhm, but not in a loving sort of way, just someone I think I could kind of way." Rion said as his face turned pink. Rion was a little flustered with his choice of words. "Uhm, anyways I will get stronger, I don't know when but I will try my best." Rion said as he walked towards Tira. When Tira spoke of Mixi, Rion blushed. "Sh-she's not my girlfriend! She's just following me and don't say that just because I'm blushing means that I'm in love with her or anything."

Alastor followed the others out of interest. Alastor bought Alicia with him to entertain himself.

After Rion had the strange coversation with the man from earlier, Alexandr risked a step closer to Tira and muttured out of the corner of her mouth, "Do I think if I payed him he'd come along?" Though she said it jokeingly it was easy to tell from the look of the man that he was one of those people politicians payed to take out other politicians. It was one of the reasons why her dad had so many gaurds.

When Rion approached again, Alexandr took a step away and looked as innocent as possible until tira spoke. "He wasnt with anyone when I found him earlier." She said confusedly, now glancing around to see if she had missed someone. "Did you get into a fight with your non girlfriend? Is that why you were hurt earlier?"

"Your both creepy." Lily said as she appeared in the clearing near Cain and Jeera in time to hear the girl's laughter. "Decided your arm wasnt important?" She added as a second later Alastor appeared too. Its not that it mattered to her whether he came or didnt, but if Alastor planned on taking all the glory for the mission being a success she would be pissed. "You three just stand over there and be quiet." Lily stated as she crouched down and began moving across the woodlands floor to find something that would lead them to some elves.

"I said, she's not my girlfriend!" Rion said with a blush. "Besides I-I-I'm still single. I never really had a girlfriend before so I don't really know what it is like to be in love. I never experenced it." Rion looked away from the group. "Anyways, it's not important, so can we drop the subject I don't want to talk about it...." Rion said.

Alastor got serious this time, "Are you ordering me, low-life?" Alastor said with a dark, destructive tone. "You better hold your tongue if you want to live Lillian. Remember Cain and I are stronger than you, that's why we're higher numbers than you, know your place before you lose your head." When Alastor spoke like this he is evenly fearful and ruthless like Cain and the higher ups. Alastor moved his hand up a bit and made a slight cut on both Lily's cheek and her neck. A tree that was next to Lily was sliced in two. The tree fell to the ground.

[[Crud, computer rebooted while typing this up...]]

"He probably would, just always expect a dagger between shoulder blades when more money tells him to do it. Though the risk is probably worth it. I'll gladly give you half my store if you need it to buy him over. And his injuries were made with his ignorance and desperation to get me on this team." She polished the steel circles on her sleeves, careful to shine it into the back Shion's head. She was inwardly gagging from Rion's fumblings, and had to take her frustration out on something. The goddess probably wouldn't take to it kindly if she kicked her messenger.

"Hey, are you trying to alert to others that there are powerful beings in this area?" Jeera flew up and knocked Alastor's hand down in case he wanted to do some more damage. She was practically just an imp, a being that could only be controlled by her own free will. "No wonder you people were defeated by the Envoys, flaunting your powers and fighting amongst yourselves. What type of leader are you Alastor?" She made a face at him and hid behind his back, floating there, where any impulsive attacks would risk damaging his own body.

Alexandr barely resisted rolling her eyes at Rion by sighing and digging her toe into the ground. "I said your non-girlfriend." She muttured before tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Dont worry Miss Mira, Im sure I can meet his demands." With that, Alexandr walked quickly to stop Shion from walking away. Honestly Alexandr didnt see the point in leaving the town if there were other envoy's here. Didnt Rion need all of them to win the battle? And here he was just letting them walk away if they wanted to. "Perhaps you know me." Alexandr began, her blank eyes looking Shion up and down as if to asess how much he would charge. "Alexandr, daughter of Baron Schneider." the way Alex spoke it was as if she believed while her name would mean something to Shion, it meant little to her. "How much would it cost if I payed you to do your job as an envoy?"

"Of course Im ordering you." Lily snapped as she wiped the blood off her cheek from the cut Alastor had made. She wasnt going to give in to his taunts for a fight. As loathe as she was to admit it, Lily knew she was weaker then him. (If only by a little)
"He isnt a leader Jeera." Lily muttured under her breath as she stood up from her crouch to glare at them. "At least not mine." The girl was fairly annoying but she had to admit this time she was right. At the first chance she got Lily would soon as stab Alastor and Cain in the backs as she would hold Jeera under water to suffocate.
"Either way, If you want to help Lord Agito youll quit destroying my guides..." She said gesturing to the now fallen tree which had held signs of an arrow passing through. The direction it had come from could have been the direction that elves lived."And be quiet so I can concentrate." This time it was directed at both Alastor and Jeera since the impish girl had severe ADD at times. "Or would you rather me inform Master how you tampered with my work and caused him to wait longer for the artifacts?"

"His fault, not mine." She let her tail point to Alastor and promptly shut up. She knew her new life could easily be taken away by any one of them. 'Why did I get brought back... No fun either way...'

"S-sorry, when I get embarassed I tend to not pay attention to what people say." Rion said to Alexandr. "Anyways I didn't have a fight with her at least not that I know of." Rion said.

"Why, you little...." Alastor was about to kill Lily but he restrained himself. "Fine, whatever..." Alastor said.

Cain remained out of the fight, choosing to instead half crouch, half jump towards a tree which contained a hole in the middle of its trunk. From there he made owl noises as if to draw some creature out of it until the sulfuric smell of blood drenched the air. "What is this? We are fighting already?" He asked as he turned around, his eyes a bright red. "Now, its not like Agito would kill us." Cain muttured, his fingers tracing his own cheek in the pattern of Lily's cut.
"Shall I show them what Agito would do?" Unlike the other's Cain never formally addressed Agito, not due to lack of respect but more because Cain simply did not care. "He would be so funny." He laughed as an image of each person being torn to shreds appeared in the other Remnant's minds eye. "Or would he go about it slower?" Before Cain could conjure anymore images of Agito torturing them, the red faded from his eye and he seemed to compose himself with another laugh. "Come on Jeera, lets let the tracker do her job while we find an owl."

Shion returned the girls unfaltering gaze with one of his one. "Well Princess I dont come cheap." He said, his lips curled down into almost a sneer. "And since your asking me to do something Im unwilling to itll be even more." As he spoke, Shion pulled a black notebook from his back pocket and flipped a few of its pages. "And then we dont even know how long this will take." He added, obviously pleased with the fact that he would either take this young girl's money or get away from the freaks. "Are you sure you want to risk it? Even your daddy isnt made of money."

"But that was fun to watch... I didn't know an arm could bend that way..." But she didn't question it and flitted to Cain's side, careful not to do anything that might upset Lily and Alastor any further. They were so... unstable, some of the best people to tease if you could get away with it.
"So, what about an owl?"

Tira absent mindedly noticed that Alexandr had called her Mira as she diverted her own attention away from blathering idiot that was supposed to lead them.
"I thought you would be a hard buy. But I'm sure whatever the lady will not or cannot offer you, I can supply. I could help with record keeping, act as a personal friend to your aliases, be the innocent bystander that creates a distraction that covers up the 'incidental' and tragic death that is never witnessed. Or maybe a false hostage and a bargaining chip?" She knew she probably was little help to Shion, but, by god...ess..., any torture instilled by him would pale in comparison to the torture of being in the presence of the idiots she already had to deal with daily, such as the petty thief that had a daily ritual of trying to steal from her store...
'I hope that recently broken hand of his discourages him from visiting my table again.'

Rion looked at Shion, "You accompany people for money? I see, uhm how's this?" Rion said as he pulled out a bag filled with 500 lucres from his pouch. In the world of money one lucre equals 100 ceres, that fact that Rion had lucres with the monetary value of 50,000 ceres was strange. Rion handed the bag of money to Shion, "There's about 500 lucres in there, you can count it if you want. Not many people have that much money, though being a mercenary is my old job before I became a Goddess Knight. I earn a lot of money for my pay, after all the things people make me do aren't always easy." Rion said with a smile. "If you're going to join I might as well pay you for your trouble. Anyways if you're wondering how long this quest will be, it might be a long while. Though, there are benefits in joining me, after all some places we'll have to explore in are dungeons and caves. In which those are pretty much ruins filled with treasures of sorts. Anyways like I said it's your choice. I'm going to start leaving this town soon, I must train harder anyways." Rion said as he sat down.

((One lucre is like a hundred dollars, ceres is like dollars in a way.))

Alastor left Lily on her own to let her do her thing. Alastor started to try and fix his arm completely by the time it was done, a young deer when towards Alastor cautiously. "Hehe, so what do you want? You lost your mommy or something?" Alastor said in a sarcastic tone. The deer went closer to Alastor and nudged him a bit in the chest. "Eh, what the? What's your problem? Get off of me." Alastor said in irritation.

Alicia started to speak, "Master, do you want me to kill it for you?" Alicia said with a creepy laugh.

Alastor sighed, "Nah, leave it alone. I'm sure it'll come to its senses and leave on its own." Alastor said as the deer left. "See what I mean? It left." Alastor said.

"Its here somewhere..." Cain muttured, his hands on the trunk of the tree as he looked from branch to branch. If Cain was going to have to wait here he would at least have a little fun. And Animal's were great way's to have fun with his kind of powers. It had been so long since he could too, what with death getting in the way and all. "His nest is in that hole." He added, impatiently gesturing towards the hole he had been inspecting earlier.

"You know quite alot for a jewerly maker." Shion said, one hand still holding the book open as the other one flicked through the pages. "But I have no need for all that." It was the least to say that Shion's powers came in useful when he had to kill and not be seen in broad daylight. As for record keeping, that was what this book was for.
"How about I accept something from each of you?" Shion asked with a wryly grin as he took the money from Rion and instantly set to counting it. He had been tricked out of a lot of money before by 'taking their word for it'. "This will do if we find treasures along the way." He said when he finally finished and began to write something in his black book. "If we dont find these 'treasures' you'll pay whatever I ask for my dear baroness." Shion finally spoke up when he was done, allowing a grin to cross his face as he slid the money into his pocket. "As for you..." He said glancing at Tira. "You seem to be knowledgeable in my field for a jewerly maker. If your prepared to sell your soul I may be able to use you for something."

"Ehehe, this is going to be an interesting journey." Rion said with a slight smile. Rion closed his eyes for a bit. "Hmm, I wonder if there's an Ethereal Beast nearby? But, if there is an Ethereal Beast, we will need the Envoy of Ether to make a pact with it." Rion muttered to himself. Rion used his 6th sense to scan the area. Rion opened his eyes, "So, it seems I was right, the Embodiment of Flames, the Ethereal Beast Felblaze is near. I wonder what it is like?" Rion said quietly to himself.

She couldn't help it, Tira cocked an eyebrow and snorted her disbelief.
"You probably won't want my soul once you know of it. It's a very dangerous thing to keep. And stop placing me in a space in your mind that is labeled 'jewelry makers are simpletons'. It wasn't like I was born into it, I had a life before gems and metals. And you can choose if you want to have my soul after this is all said and done. Don't want to sell my soul when you can easily leave us at anytime, money and treasure or no." She was a woman of business, she knew that words were easily broken, but she also knew that people regretted decisions and would try to change them. An assassin was probably not the best person to be trapped into a corner with contracts to do such... a lowly job. Seriously, envoy? What are the job specifications for this?

"Oh~! Wait right here!" Jeera seemingly vanished. If there was anything that she was good at, was disturbing lives in general. Finding an owl wasn't as hard as it had been decades ago. All she had to do was kill a rat and leave it on a string. The first owl that passed by had his or her wings caught before they could even dive down for the treat. Careful of her cargo, she flew back to Cain.
"Sorry 'bout the wait... Is this one ok?"

Mixi finally found Rion and the others. She left for a while to do a little shopping. "Hey Rion!" she called, walking over to him, caring a small bag. "I bought you a necklace that reminded me of you! Here!" she said, handing him sapphire necklace lined with gold. "I got it in a bargain." she said, then turned towards the others. "So, what are we doing?" she asked

Lily was ready to threaten the next person that opened their mouth when the deer led her eyes to a very important clue. "That way." Lily said, standing up and dusting herself off with one hand while pointing east into the deeper part of the woods with the other. "Hurry up with your games and follow me." She grumbled, eyeing Cain and Alastor. Alastor's doll was portable but Lily knew Cain wouldnt move until he had fried the stupid owl's brain.

Alexandr looked surprisedly at Shion and Rion. 500 lucres? that was all he wanted? She had been prepared to sell the house to meet whatever demands the assassin would make. Well at least that meant no loss of money to her. "So what do we do next if we dont have the envoy of ether?" She asked, turning to face Rion with bored eyes until another girl approached.

"And who are you?" Alexandr asked, stiffening with the lack of formality from the strange girl. Alex seemed to take her role in life with some measurement of pride and wouldnt let some common girl address her without some kind of introduction.

Mixi smiled, "My name is Mixi, I'm here with Rion. I'm one of the envoys." she explained. Crys started to shake a little. What do you want? Then it stopped suddenly.

"A sapphire necklace? Uhm, th-thank you. You're very thoughtful, sapphire is my birth stone." Rion said as he blushed. "I'll reply you later on some day." Rion looked at Alexandr, "All of the Envoys are needed for the battle that is to come. After all, some of the Remnants have grudges against most of us. Anyways, the Envoy of Ether's powers is essential to fighting with the Remnants and Agito. Besides, I want to see the majestic guardians that the Envoy of Ether summons." Rion said to Alexandr.

Alastor started to get bored, "I'm going to leave it's getting a little bit too boring. I'll go terrorize a few people and stuff." Alastor said as he disappeared from forest.

Mixi giggled at Rion blushing, then she squeeked and put her hood over her head. She hadn't known he'd like it so much.

Rion blushed when he heard Mixi giggle. He turned away to hide his face. I can't believe it, this is the fourth time I've blushed it's embarassing. Rion walked to one of the broken buildings and sighed. "If only I was stronger, I could have prevented all this." Rion said in a depressed tone.
