Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 04:09 AM

The bell rings for lunch, and Mitsuki bolts for the door.
She was planning on eating outside today, her thermos of and herb infusion and a bento full of oringiri, sushi and carrots.
She was thinking of cutting French.
She spoke French well enough, but spelling, she wasn't so great on.
She walks out one of the side doors to get out of the crowd, and winds her way outside to the courtyard.

Landon takes out his notes on the Call.
Yeah, he had notes on it, he wanted to find the cause, and the solution before everyone he knew died.
Sure, he had just moved here, all the better to be objective and observant.
He skims over his scrawled writing, keeping one eye on the shop as he reads.

((Sorry had to go out and work my last day on the job^-^; I'm back!))
Xander sighed as she finally got dressed in more normal clothing. She wore her light gray turtle neck that wasn't too heavy or choking now, some worn out jeans and boots made for normal trek through the snow. She passed the school as she walked out of one of the gyms. Her bag full of her work out clothing hanging from her shoulder. She looked up at the school and fiddled with her ear that held her pack mark of a red upside down crescent moon. She enjoyed smelling all the abnormal children mingling with the humans. It was interesting. She sighed as she stood there a moment longer in front of the gate before heading back towards the rest of town. She had a long walk ahead of her and she really didn't like the cold without her fur. She stuffed her hands in her pocket as she looked at all the tiny little shops. She stopped in front of the one music shop that always caught her attention, Meiner's Music. "Why the hell not." She shrugged and opened the door to welcomed warmth. "Hello? Anyone working?" She said looking around as she blew hot air into her cupped hands.

((Heh got my confirmation finally. Here he is.))

Elliott was floating like a bloody balloon over the city. December. It was an amusing time of the year, and he made sure to make it as fun for the inhabitants of this town as he could. He had been dead for a LONG time. He couldn't move on...because he was too afraid of what came when you moved on. Similar to his irrational fear of death when he was alive he now feared the after-afterlife. He had also learned quite a lot as a ghost, all the fun things you could do with the powers ghosts had.

Later today he was planning on his, "abominable snowman" bit. When he would gather up a grand amount of snow and walk around, a living snowman, and screaming like a gorilla. Caused a ruckus in town, and it amused him when he saw it in the news...still with all this Death Call crap he wouldn't be getting the attention he wanted in the news.

He would go from the houses he haunted and maybe mess around, poltergeist or spooking. Either way it would be amusing, hell he might even be helpful. For now though school was in session. He flew down taking a better form that looked like he did the moment he died, sans the massive wound to his guts. Though it was only in case he found a "stray" ghost. You never really want to freak out people on your first impression. He tended to stay invisible to mortals.

He saw a young man making snowballs near the building. He laughed, as he got closer he found a true view of the young man. One of the skills that was useful in this town, and one he had mastered early, the kid was a dragon. Elliott found amusement in annoying the powerful creatures so he took a bit of snow and threw it at him, not truely staying around to see if it hit. Poltergeisting was such a fun ability, he was able to get so much snow there.

He laughed his geistly laugh and moved on to the lunchroom. Lunch had started and he wanted to mess with the lunch ladies again. Nothing funnier than haunted food. He went under the trays and reached a hand out from under the salads making it visible to everyone comeing to eat, eventually someone was going to take the wrong scoop and boom! OH MY GOD A HAND!

And he would laugh and move on. Assured it was a little immature to spend his time messing with people, but it also wasn't boring. For him that was all that mattered.

Remaro 12-13-2008 09:37 AM

A black haired figure stood in silence outside the main school building. Her cold eyes, a greyish blue, gazed monotonously at the snow that covered the ground. The eighteen year old had skipped the first few classes, something she seemed to do on a regular basis. A black jacket was worn snugly over a black 'tank top' with red lettering stating 'Killer Queen'. Beneath she wore dark blue jeans and a pair of worn, stained grey trainers. All this and her almost blank expression gave the impression of a fierce, 'do not mess with me' type of girl.

Her eyes flitted once to look up at a boy making snowballs. She recognised him, vaguely. He must share a class with her or something, or maybe he was a dragon like Kana. Either way, she didn't take much notice. Yawning Kana watched as some teens came out from the school for lunch, some looking regretful at having to leave the warmth of the building, others thankful to get away.

Yoshaki 12-13-2008 10:05 AM

Another screech. Spooking could be as easy as being partially visible to making blood run up the walls. Though in places like a fully inhabited school you kept away from the major spooking styles, after all no one likes to be the victim of exorcism. Especially Elliott. He spun out to the outside to terrorize the typical cats that ate outside. Snow was so easy to mess with, and when people ate they entered trance like states, which made them so easily thrown to emotional extremes when interrupted.

He floated down and caught on the corner of his eye a couple more non-humans. A dragon, a silverfox...a geist! Well that is an amusement for sure. Though she made herself so obvious to the eye. She must not have been dead long. He figured the fem-dragon was to be his first target. Why? Not only was she a grand and powerful dragon, but she seemed so stiff, even for a snowy day. That would not do.

He spun about her a moment and dragged the wind with him making a flurry with the powdery snow to coat her fully and thinly. An annoyance for sure. He giggled his wraithly laugh taking a moment to appreciate his work.

He revealed himself slightly as he lost concentration on maintaining invisibility. Dark short hair and white button up with black slacks that actually made him look like he belonged around here. His skin was paler than it had already been in real life. Which made him a thing that could be mistaken for white. In life he had been a little dark due to his bloodline, and no matter how long he spent out of the sun he could get no lighter than a certain shade, death gave him his current skin color though, and really he didn't mind it. The dark black eyes may have scared certain folk if they stared long enough, but they weren't strange. He would call them darkest brown. This compounded with laughing at this girl couldn't have made a good image for her to see. Quite mocking, and a bit embarrassing for her.

fairywaif 12-13-2008 02:48 PM

"Hey!"
A stray snowball had just hit her. She had hoped it the courtyard would be empty this time of day, but instead it was completely filled with people. Actually... she closed her eyes and concentrated. Not people. She wasn't sure what, but not a single one was human. Although she knew there were definitely two ghosts and... a silverfox. Ugh. The smell was cloying to her nose. And ghosts always had this undead vibration. Thinking that made her think of Mia. No, she had to be strong...
An interesting group to say the least. And one had just hit her with a snowball. She bent down and made a snowball. She scanned the yard for the snowball maker. Spying a boy with a snowball in his hand, she took aim and fired.

Palmoun 12-13-2008 04:03 PM

Engel felt a snowball hit him and he turned around. He saw the girl who had throw it and yelled "why did you do that? I did not even throw one at you." Then saw his target outside, Mitsuki was right out in the open. He took a few snowballs in his arms and threw that at her then turned and threw one at the girl who had thrown one at him.

fairywaif 12-13-2008 04:09 PM

"Oh, it's on."
Tara began looking around if not the boy.. Of course. A ghost. So, she threw one at the most likely area. She couldn't see anything, but she felt it's presence. Then she pelted one at the boy. He had hit her for real this time. Besides, Tara loved snowball fights.

Palmoun 12-13-2008 04:12 PM

Engel felt the snow on his face from the girl and smiled. He finally found someone who loved snowball fights just like him. He took a few more snowballs and threw them at her and laughed everytimes he saw one hit her. Then every once in a while he threw one at Mitsuki then go back to the girl who pelted one at him and threw one back at her.

fairywaif 12-13-2008 04:32 PM

Tara laughed. She forgot all her worries about the Death Call. This was so much fun. She darted around, but both their snowballs hit every time.

Palmoun 12-13-2008 05:15 PM

Engel found himself running at the girl and pelting her with snowballs. He forgot that he was going after Mitsuki and went after the girl he did not even know. He laughed everytime he got hit in the head with one of her snowballs and throw one back at her. soon the whole school yard was a snowball war zone. All the other students were eather throwing snowballs with them or runnig away trying to find cover

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 06:04 PM

<<Oy, don't you people ever sleep?>>

Mitsuki brushes the snow off her clothes, her green eyes flashing with annoyance.
She picks a place on a bench, and probably stupidly, used magic to create an invisible bubble around her, a snow-shield.
She opens her bento, picks up her chopsticks and starts eating happily.
She loved a good dinner (or lunch) show.

Landon looks up.
A teenaged girl had just walked into the shop.
"Unfortunately, I am." He replies, only partly joking.
He watches her warm her hands, glad he was inside all day.
"So, I'm supposed to be helpful. Are you looking for anything in particular, or just looking?" He asks, his off-beat sense of humor poking though.

Clarette watches the snowball war on the school's campus.
She wasn't sure, but she thought she could feel many beings other than humans.
Including another ghost.
He was throwing snowballs, as well.
Her pale form materializes, the infectious snowball fight getting to her.
She scoops up the snow, makes a ball and lobs it at the nearest person, some random student.

Shadowedfire_Wolf 12-13-2008 06:22 PM

She almost jumped when someone finally spoke up in the store. She looked at the boy probably not much older than her. "Um yeah...actually. Some sheet music for the accoustic guitar and for the flute. I'm suppose to bring some back for our tribe elders." It was safer to say tribe than pack but no one really believed it. Her skin was pale and her features were soft, like most of her pack women. She had no indian features at all. "This is my first time here so I don't really know what I'm looking for heh."

Enzo09 12-13-2008 06:31 PM

((........Sorry.))

Remaro 12-13-2008 06:38 PM

She let out a vicious snarl of surprise when the snow covered her. Raising her hands she swiftly wiped away the snow from her face, spitting out the disgusting tasting now liquid from her mouth. Glowering around at anyone nearby, Kana shook her head rapidly to rid herself of the snow, the rest falling off as it melted swiftly. From the corner of her eyes she caught sight of a person, but for sure it was no person. The boy had to be a ghost because no living creature could appear so suddenly in a spot empty mere milliseconds before.
"Do you think this is funny?" She hissed, the tips of her ears burning red, the only way to tell if she was embarrassed or not for the blush never covered her cheeks.

A strange pair of eyes set on the palish face of the nineteen year old had watched people passing on the street. One, his right eye, was a soft grey, soothing to the sight. The other however was a dark red, almost blazing. No one could explain his strange colourings and he never bothered to try and find out. His hair too was a greyish black shade and straight, falling across his face when ever the wind raised. Below his left eye was a tiny black tatoo of a japanese symbol. Some occasionally asked him what it meant, but he would simply smirk and say 'Anything you want it to mean'. Finally, drawn by the idea of warmth, Lyden Pheonix pushed himself away from the street wall and into a small music shop. He often came here, enjoying looking at what was new, what was on sale and simply flicking through the aisles.

((Would it be alright for Lyden to know Landon?))

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 06:45 PM

<<Enzo, Nyet, Non, No. First off, Dark Red is taken. Second, read the rules, I didn't post them for giggles. If you fix your errors and we'll talk.>>

"Uh, right." He moves from behind the counter and walks over to the right side of the room.
"Over here are our Guitar music." He says, waving a hand in front of him.
Then, he sweeps his hand to the upper corner of the wall. "And over there should be the flute music. They've got some pretty good concert-style pieces there, but not much pop-culture."
Maybe he shouldn't have said the last part, he loved the flute, but hated people's reactions when he said so.
He goes back to flipping through his notes at the counter.

<<Yeah, Lyden can know Landon, it's fine.>>

Shadowedfire_Wolf 12-13-2008 06:50 PM

She stared at the human. His smell wasn't as warm as many. He was apparently bored and not happy here. She heard the door creak open and turned her head to look at who came in. She looked at the other boy. She smiled softly to him and then looked at the music the other boy had pointed out for flute music. "Well its not really pop-culture I'm looking for...just some flute music. Concert pieces are easier to learn anyways." She walked over to the flute music and began rifling through it. She'd have to find the one for the elder soon. "Um you wouldn't happen to have tribal music for either instrument would you?"

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 06:58 PM

"Depends on what you mean by 'tribal'. There's some Celtic pieces, and some more Native American pieces, or there should be, anyways." He replies.
It wasn't every day that someone asked for tribal music.
He puts away his notebook, before coming back out with a coronet to polish, also one of his jobs here.
He notices Lyden come in, though for now he focuses more on the brass instrument in front of him.

Shadowedfire_Wolf 12-13-2008 07:01 PM

She thought about that for a moment. They liked mixing the two didn't they? Her family was quite different from the other packs around town. They mingled more, they even held relationships sometimes with humans. But they always came back to their own. Well except for one couple. Red's wife Angie was a fragile little thing. How she went through that child birth she'd never know. She blinked, her thoughts carrying away like that was bad, she needed to focus. "I guess both for now. Native American and Celtic. We mix it up sometimes. They sound good together." Smile...smile as best you can without showing any fang. She thought to herself as she tried to seem like a sheepish young girl.

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 07:25 PM

Landon puts the coronet down, and flips through the unorganized music, looking for the selections of each style.
"This is all we have here, at least until we order more." He says.
There were a couple booklets of each style, which he had just left in the front of one of the racks.
He returns to polishing the baby-trumpet, the smell of polish wafting throughout the room.

Shadowedfire_Wolf 12-13-2008 07:36 PM

She smiled, the scent of polish tingling her nose. It was strong but a nice clean smell. She nodded. "Thank you." She flipped through the music taking her time to look at each. Music...something her people cherished. It annoyed those blood suckers anyways and that's what mattered most. Course...she couldn't really be hateful towards them. They were only trying to live but how she hated them. Even if it was going against half of herself. She found a particular book that caught her interest and flipped through the pages. "Hmmm. Do you mind if I hang around to check these out a bit. I don't want to make a mistake and take the wrong thing home."

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 07:43 PM

"Not at all, take your time." Landon replies.
A lock of blonde hair falls across his face as he leans over the instrument.
He looks up at the clock behind him, for he never wore a watch.
Only a few more hours until his shift was over, and he had to start teaching lessons.

Shadowedfire_Wolf 12-13-2008 07:49 PM

She sighed as she decided on the book in her hand for the flute. She'd have to pick out guitar. That she left to her instincts. She always just let what felt right to make her decisions when it came to the elders. They had too much pressure and hope riding on her for their pack. She looked at the boy watching the clock. He was human, but he seemed like he wasn't too bothered by the death call. She walked over to the guitar music and just let her hand hover all the music as if she were looking for the right one to pick and not her gut instinct to scream out which one. "You don't seem all mellowed out like most people. Not worrying too much about the Death Call stuff are you?"

Inverse Sonata 12-13-2008 08:06 PM

Ah. So even random customers would talk about the Call, that while horrible, he still wasn't really affected by.
"When Death Calls, I'll meet it. Until then, there's not much to do but sharpen the battle ax and wait." He replies easily.
He had learned to build a wall, a fortress deep inside him, that would let him focus without the worry of emotions until later.
He puts the polished instrument in its case, and shuts it.
From his bag on the back counter, he grabs a pencil and an odd-looking notebook.
He lays it on the counter, to watch over the store, and opens it.
Staff lines filled the page, which was half-filled already with notes.
Landon's Opus, if you will, his work in progress.

Remaro 12-13-2008 08:07 PM

Lyden returned the smile to the stranger, swiftly ducking his head to look away. He paused to look at music for the piano, briefly flicking through the pages of one. It was for a musical, Le Miserable, one of his favourites. Silently he replaced the small book and glanced up. The sound of a familiar voice came from nearby and it brought a tiny smile on his face. Edging his way round the corner, Lyden smirked at the face he'd seen several times before.
"How long until your shift ends then Landon? You look bored out of your mind." He greeted him, the first time Lyden had spoken even semi-cheerfully in some time.

((Thanks))
