Story Thus Far:
The television screen pans over pictures of brightly costumed individuals, guys, girls, aliens, humans. The news anchor drones on and on about the Pros and Cons of super-beings. You yourself have your own opinion, and you tend to keep that to yourself. Some people (some of them meta-humans themselves) are in support of these super heroes, and the amazing work they do in protecting the common people in a way the police cannot. Others blame these super heroes for all the problems, regardless of the known fact that there would always be super villains. You click off the screen, tired of it's droning.

Vera looks from her perch on a billboard, her white sandals hanging over the edge.
The flat, circular piece of metal she flies on sits beside her.
The angel in disguise watches over New York, her new city.
She plays with a large opal hanging on her neck by a platinum chain, her newest steal.
She giggles, no one would ever peg her as the thief, even if she hadn't killed the power before entering.

Shinji-Leigh walks down the empty street, humming to himself.
Sure, he was a meta-human, but so long as no one knew, he'd be fine, right?
I mean, a guy who could use psychonesis was fairly normal...
He wasn't fooling himself, even.
Besides, he could do more than just move things with his mind, he was simply psychic, being able to do various, usually helpful, but fairly simple tasks.
Like, Psychometery, for example, was useful, but not helpful in the long-run.
He sighs, his converse squeaking on the cement, echoing off the walls.

Vera spies a lonely figure walking along the street.
She tosses the large disc and zaps it with a bolt of blue electricity.
She hovers it over to her, and steps on, guiding the disc down with her mind.
The side-street/alley was empty, and soon she grabs the disc, and walks casually out of the alley, and accidentally straight into the path of the guy.
They crash to the ground, Vera muttering apologies.

Shinji bumps into the girl head-on, and falls like the lavender-haired girl.
He helps her up, noticing the odd, large metal disc she was holding.
Saying nothing of the oddity, he speaks. "I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going. My apologies."
He brushes himself off, mostly out of awkwardness.

Vera smiles brightly up at the guy.
"No, it's entirely my fault. I should be more careful." She laughs, her voice as light as her appearance.
Of course, he could mention that she was walking around the darker areas of New York all alone, which would be hard to explain.
Unless of course, he had powers too, or at least was a petty thief.

Shinji's hormones were telling him that this girl was an angel.
His sixth sense, however told him anyone who looked like that and was walking around the alleys of New York was trouble.
Or, had powers...
"So, what's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" He asks goofily.

"Walking. Nothing much, really. Unless you'd believe that I was waiting to mug someone." She laughs.
Really, that wasn't hard to believe, even though she was rather slight of frame.
The stranger wouldn't know, however, and thus it didn't matter.
"So, what brings you to this neck of the jungle?"

He wasn't sure what to think about her 'joke'.
His thoughts picked up on a magnified electrical field around her, maybe a side-effect of having electrical powers?
"I was just walking, you know." Leigh replies, casually.
He starts walking, he needed to get home before certain people would be out, and after him.
Like, his evil Uncle, Lord Glaive.
Or any of his 'friends'.
Yeah, that'd be bad, so he keeps moving.

The guys nonchalance annoyed Vera.
He was walking off on her!
Annoyed, she zaps him, not caring about her not-so-secret identity.
Her cell phone starts vibrating, and she disappears back into the alley, to take her call.
"Electrolysis here." She says, taking the call.
The gruff voice on the other side informs her of her next job.
"Yes, Lord Glaive, I'm on it." She replies, then waits for him to hang up.
She changes into her costume, and pulls back her hair before putting on her mask.
Vera, now Electrolysis, had a job to do.
