This is just an RP between Alyssia and I. I think you have a good idea what else is needed to be said, so yeah.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
A young woman ran in the rain, covering herself with just a coat that was barely able to do for protection against the watery onslaught. She just wanted to get some shelter... and fast, not caring where she got it from either. Finally, she found a house up ahead, which she figured was abandoned according to the rotten 'FOR SALE' sign that had been hanging for years how, only to have rotted off its chains now, leaving it unclear if it truly was for sale. Thinking it wouldn't hurt to seek shelter in what was abandoned, she began her rush along the path, up the steps and towards the front door, opening it without a single thought of hesitation before she went inside.
Once she was inside, the girl let out a deep sigh of relief, removing the jacket from her head to reveal that it wasn't some ordinary color of hair; it was dyed a deep shade of blue. Her now-damp clothing wasn't all that normal either; rather the white plaid skirt, zipped up vest with T-Shirt underneath, leg warmers, rather large sneakers and a pair of wristbands seem to point out that it was bordering on punk.
Finally, she opened her emerald eyes to take a look around the place, to her surprise finding that it was far from the interior of a run-down, abandoned home.

The rain beat down heavily on the window pane as he looked out of the window he could see a figure there running towards his door. He wondered just what this person could be thinking about the house they were about to enter. No doubt in his mind that they felt it was abandoned, fixing the exterior was always something that he failed to get around to. Noting their entry he pondered just how he wanted to make hos presence known. He smirked to himself thinking that it'd been much too long since he'd had any sort of fun.
Feeling that some shadow play was in order as he made his way down the stairs he began to vanish into the surrounding shadows. Now bound to only where darkness was he nestled himself behind a young woman. He decided not to appear just yet. He spoke letting his voice echo and carry through out the downstairs foyer, it was soft and not too deep "I see you are seeking shelter here" He then waited to see just how she would react to hearing his voice and not being able to place him.

The young woman continued to look around the interior of the house, wondering why it wasn't the same as the rest outside. It looked so grand... She began to take a few steps foreward when she heard a voice...
'I see you are seeking shelter here'
She gasped, and froze, a chill running its course down her spine.. She looked around for a possible source of the voice, even looking upstairs to see if anyone was up there... but not a soul aside from herself appeared to be where she was. If anything, she could of just heard things, though it was far too early to begin hallucinating.

He couldn't help but let out a laugh as he saw her freeze there after hearing his voice. It was a low tone laugh that showed how fear was an emotion that excited him. He though it was something that was intriguing as he lurked through the shadows in the house he set the fire in the living room ablaze which let out a fairly loud crackle. He spoke once again to the girl. "There is no need to search me out for you won't be able to find me, but you shouldn't fear I won't hurt you."
From up above in the shadows he dropped a warm cloth for her to dry herself with "You can dry off with that...you should sit by the fire so that you don't catch a cold...I'd hate for you to be sick." He still chose to lurk in the shadows and watch her; not really ready to show himself to her.

She continued to look around until she heard his laugh... Now she was definately sure she wasn't just hearing things. Just then, she gasped as she noticed that fireplace lit up. For some reason, she had a feeling she had invoked something.. unnatural.
Feeling something land on her shoulders, she looked to see that it was a cloth. Deciding to take advantage of this hospitality.. maybe even find out exactly what she was dealing with... she went over near the fireplace as she removed the cloth from her shoulders, drying herself as she took her seat.

"There now isn't that better? Tell me, will you be alright in those clothes, they must be rather wet though it is your choice merely ask is all." He still lurked around the shadows, now closer to her than he was before. "Would you mind telling me your name" He finally stepped out of the shadows, near the fire place. He was fairly tall around 6'2" and lean. His garments flowed about him gracefully though they seemed to carry no weight. His hair was a blackish blue color and his eyes were a pale blue. The color of his clothes nearly matched his hair and the only thing that he wore to offset the flow of the deep blues was a small sliver chain around his neck. He rested an elbow on the hearth as he looked the young girl over, his head was cocked to one side resting in his hand as a few locks fell toward his face.

She looked on as a man appeared near her. She blinked a bit, taking in the sight of him. She figured he must of been the one who spoke to her.. regardless, she nodded. "I suppose I do need some dry clothes.." '..And maybe a warm bath while I'm at it..' she thought to herself, though she didn't seem to mention that to him.

"Well alright then, tell me what you would like to ware, and I'll fix it for you....would you like a bath by chance? It really is up to you though." He began to walk in front of the fire place to set a few more planks of wood into it. "If there is anything that you need feel free to ask, I'll need to know how long you intend to be here so that I can gather the proper provisions. Lastly what should I call you? You can call me Áedán

"Maybe a shirt and pants.." She began. Though her eyes widened a bit when he mentioned the offer of a bath. "Yes, please..." She blinked. "Well, I'm only going to stay here until the storm clears up, about the morning after that... and I'm Jaye.." She finished. She began to stand up so she could be directed to where she would bathe.

"Ah well it is nice to meet you then Jaye, the bathroom is right up the stairs and to the left. There is a door within joining it to a guest room, which you are free to use to your liking. I'll leave your garments there for you. If there is anything else you need feel free to ask. I'll be down here most of the evening. Dinner is soon...is there anything that you'd like?" Áedán questioned noticing her expression he smirked to himself, opting not to tell how he knew her thought.

"I'm not too picky.." Jaye shook her head. "Though I wouldn't mind eating something that isn't very cold." She added, before she made her way to the bathroom as he had directed her. Once there, she didn't seem to hesitate to fill the bathtub with warm water as she removed her clothes, getting into the filled tub.
She just rested there for a short while, eyes closed, glad to be in something warm after a while of going through cold, rainy weather. Even moreso, she was finally alone with her thoughts for the time being... or so she would think.

Áedán went into one of the many vacant rooms to look for something that he though that Jaye would like to ware. Finding nothing he took out a small sketch book and began to sketch out a pair of black plaid pleated skirt with double belts that had small triangular studs. He then started to work on the tee shirt, which was red and featured black rose petals falling from the left shoulder down to the right hip section. Áedán finished the basic outfit with a half hooded sweat shirt which was also black. Áedán then set out to draw various sets of leg warmers, arm warmers, hair accessories and other accessories like ear rings, ring, bracelets and other what nots in silver and colored rubber. The last thing that he drew were various matching bottoms, and shoes.
When he was satisfied with all that he had done he snapped his fingers and walked out of the room shutting the door behind him. The clothing that was once on the paper now rested on the bed awaiting a new owner. He left a note on the door and he slipped one under the door of the bathroom as well directing Jaye to the room that held her clothing. It was two doors down on the right. He knocked on the door as he passed "You are welcome to sleep in the room that has your new clothes. Let me know if you'd like a change of sheets when you've finished." Áedán continued his walk through the hall making his way to the stairs, heading for the kitchen.
As he made his way down stairs he began to think of his dinner plans. "Hmm what to cook...what to cook, maybe I should pay my guest a little unannounced visit to see what she really likes...." As he though he smirked to himself. There weren't many shadows he could hide in with her in the bathroom, so he opted to stand outside of her door a little later and listen in on her thoughts a little to see if he could learn anything, but not before setting the oven on preheat and lighting the candles on the table. Áedán headed back up stairs and rested outside of Jaye's bathroom door, awaiting her thoughts.

(Here, I was waiting for you when I realized it was really the opposite! XD... ^^; )
Jaye continued to bathe for a while, unaware of what was going on outside the bathroom. She felt at peace with herself, it would seem.
Her thoughts seemed to drift off in random directions, but whatever they were, they weren't of wondering what was for dinner that he might of planned. Maybe once or twice, but that was it.

((Don't worry about it, its fine, oh I normally put character thoughts in italics so I don't have to type *thought.))
"Shoot, this is no good >.> she is so random what am I supposed to do?"
Áedán stood in wonder for a moment thinking to himself as to what he was going to cook. Though he didn't eat all that much himself company wasn't really something he had a lot of experience with. Brushing it all off he made up in his mind to go and cook something on his own. Though it wasn't something that he'd do often, he did have a little experience with cooking.
He opted to make something simple, something that he felt was comfort food. He began to make some bread first which he left to rise for a bit. He then went and gathered up some fresh vegetables that he'd picked up from the store a day ago. Carrots, potatoes, and celery, along with a variety of dried herbs; all of which he chopped well with some beef cubes. Áedán stopped momentarily wondering if she ate beef...shrugging it off because he couldn't really stop and replace it with something else. He coated the beef in flour sautéing it in a deep pot while heating water in a kettle.
Once he was satisfied with the color he added the boiling water, vegetables and some more spices and let it simmer. Áedán then put the bread in the oven to bake once it had finished rising. Letting out a sigh for this was more effort that he was used to putting for for most things he then went to set the table and make some tea as well. Jasmine for himself and for his guest he left the tea box on the table. Finally having a moment to rest he sat down near the fireplace poking mindlessly at a popping log.
Though it wasn't too long before he found himself in the kitchen once again checking on things; the stew needed thickening and just a little more seasoning and the bread was ready. He turned the stove down and took the bread out got a cup of tea and then sat to wait for his guest again...finally able to rest, knowing he wouldn't have to get up till she arrived.

Jaye bathed for a period longer, until she was finished cleaning herself. She wrung her hair first, and then took a towel and dried herself with it, wrapping it around herself as she went to the guest room where she was supposed to stay at. Her eyes widened a bit at the sight of a whole lot of clothing on the bed. Either he must of gone shopping while she bathed or what! She was rather surprised... until she noticed a note that must of been slipped under the door... whoops.. hopefully it wouldn't be too intelligable by this point.. nope, it still is.
She smiled a bit in relief, before she proceeded to put on the new set of clothes, along with some approprately matching accessories, putting her hair into a short, bushy ponytail save for the side-fringes, and then proceeded to head downstairs, where her host... and dinner.. were waiting.

As Áedán sat he mulled over his cup of tea, noticing one stalk was floating vertical in his cup he smiled to himself. "Lady luck will you smile on me soon..." Still sort of smiling to himself his thoughts were shaken by the sound of foot steps coming down the hall. Áedán couldn't help but wonder what Jaye had picked out to ware, though inwardly he hoped that he was able to create something to her liking.
Because guests were few and far between for him he was always at a lost as to how he should behave. Though he had a love for humans and the way they reacted to his antics he always found himself torn between choices. Opting to lurk would give him a little time to make a final decision as to what he wanted to do. As he saw Jaye walking towards the stairs he waited in the shadows near the rails for her to pass him by. Áedán had a grin on his face that teemed with a sly mischief, he new what he wanted to do.

Jaye continued down the stairs as she looked around... for her host, that was.. as well as dinner. She didn't expect him to just disappear like that without properly walking her to the kitchen first, but she shrugged it off. Maybe he's already there.
Though... shoot, he didn't tell her where the kitchen was! Or maybe he told her and she just forgot...?

OCC: Sorry for the wait, I've been on the sick side of things
Áedán sank into the shadows near his seat lurking through the linking darkness closer to where Jaye was. He could see her now and it brought a smile to his face, working with her shadow he cloaked his hand in it. Reaching out of the floor boards his hand was thin almost like vines. He waited until Jaye was beside his hand to let his vine like fingers brush her ankle. The shadow vines reached towards the slightest touch, and they bent towards her as she grazed them. Áedán wondered how she’d respond to the occurrence as he smiled with anticipation. Áedán slipped his hand out of Jaye’s shadow and lurked ahead of her now still unseen he reappeared around the corner his and gripping the wall as if he were peering around it. Looking up at her he spoke. “What is it? I though I heard something…You’re alright?” he questioned.

Jaye looked around, a bit unaware until she felt something brush against her ankle. She shuddered a bit at this and almost went pale, except for the bit of color that remained on her face. She looked around to see whatever it was that touched her... to notice that nothing was there. Was she just imagining things...?
She then looked over at her host as he asked her what was going on. "Oh.. uh.. nothing.. just felt a chill..." She tried to excuse herself.

Áedán couldn't help but smirk just a little thinking about the way she'd shuttered, he'd always loved the way humans reacted to things like that. "Well I can't say much for the heating in this place, though I try to keep it warm in here. Let me know if there is anything that I can get you." Áedán stepped out from around the corner to look Jaye over. "Tell me is your room comfortable and what about the clothes? I hope all is suitable..." Áedán trailed off thinking for just a moment before recalling the meal he'd made.
"Are you hungry...dinner is ready and waiting if you are."

"Yes, I'll be sure on that... and my room and clothes are alright..." She nodded a bit as he asked about them. Speaking of clothes, she did wonder where he got garments like those from... she had never really seen them in stores, so... Her train of thought was cut off at the mention of dinner. "Oh..." She blinked, almost startled. "Yes, I've been waiting to eat..."

"Well I'm glad that you're alrigh with them." Inwardly Áedán wondered why they were just alrigh as a look of though corssed his face. He knew that he'd have to push that aside till later though. "Oh dinner yes the table is just around this corner to the left. Áedán motioned with an open palm and allowed her to walk before him. He kept his pace with her own and pulled out her chair for her. The talbe was set for the two of them and the lighting was only slightly dim. Áedán made sure that the bread was cut before he'd gone to get Jaye. "Tell me what would you like to drink?" The food had already been set on the plates and was still steaming hot. The servings were moderate ones at best, Áedán didn't know how much she was going to eat and he himself didn't eat much to begin with. "Let me know what you think." Áedán said with a slight nervousness in his voice.
