"I get tested every year, even if I'm not sexually active. You never know if the test could miss it once. I'm not a very sexual person by myself. I tend to feed off my partner's sexuality. When I'm not in a relationship I'm perfectly fine without any sexual contact at all."

He shrugged a little. "Believe it or not, when you have something in your closet like that, it's best to be open about it from the beginning. That way no feelings are hurt later on if it's a problem. You just have to be careful about who you choose to tell things like that," he said with a slight smile. "Don't worry about it with me. Honesty is best, and at least I understand the emotional workings behind things like that. I'm not just some person who will stand there screaming at you demanding that you change or demanding for an explanation for why you act like that. Actions like those don't do any good anyways. They just trap the person being yelled at and make them regret their relationship. And as long as you're faithful, I don't really care about how sexual you have to be to be happy. That's who you are. I just happen to be who I am, y'know?" He looked a little embarrassed, smiling a weak, awkward smile.

"Sorry, guess it was my turn to ramble..."

"No problem at all. I like it when you ramble. It makes you more alive some how. You tend to look a little more excited when you're rambling." Romeo nodded. "I know that it's best to be upfront about stuff like that... but I mean... I don't know how fast this relationship was going to go and I don't normally do anything on the first date. No point in telling someone how much you like sex when you don't plan on sexing them yet." He laughed. "Though there does appear to be hope for the future. Espically if you feed off your partner's energy." He leaned over the table and poked Gavin's nose. "There's lots of fun to be had in that." He winked.

It was about that time that the waiter came over again and kinda had a strange look on his face, looking at his wrist and tapping his foot. Romeo looked up at the clock and his eyes widened a little bit. He laughed and then got up, getting his hoodie back on, and took one last drink of his tea. He looked at Gavin and held out his hand towards the other man.

"It appears we may have stayed until just about closing. Shall we go then? I'll take you home."

After getting the leftovers put into a foam takeout box and put into a plastic bag, Gavin put his hoodie, scarf, and gloves back on, then stepped outside into the freezing cold. "Actually, I think I'd rather walk around for a while. I'll slowly make my way back home. I have one of those extremely rare things called a day off tomorrow, thought I'd manage some night time people watching, y'know? I prefer it at night than in the daytime."

He shivered a little and stuck his hands into the pockets of his hoodie.

Romeo followed him outside, shivering at the cold himself and looked out towards his car with a frown as Gavin spoke. He decided to take out enough change for a payphone plus a little extra and put it in Gavin's hoodie pocked wher his hands were. He gave him a wink.

"Sadly enough I work tomorrow. Though I get off work early, around 2. Feel free to call me if you get lonely, bored or you just want to see me again."

He grinned brilliantly and started to walk away towards his car. He started whistling the first few notes of System's Cigaro, and got quite a distance away. Then he started yelling at Gavin over his shoulder.

"AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO FIX THAT CAR OF YOURS I MIGHT END UP DOING IT FOR YOU!"

"Fixing the transmission will cost more than my car is worth. Thanks for the offer, but I'll figure something out," he called back to Romeo, heading off towards the downtown area.

Romeo waved at his back as he was leaving and again started slowly towards his car. Whistling the tune to System's Voilent Pornography in the cold night's air. When Gavin was pretty much out of sight, Romeo muttered a few words under his breath that he knew was probably going to end up happening, but didn't know if he was going to end up regretting or not.

"Well then I'll probably just have to end up buying you a new car..."

The next day Gavin laid on the bench in the park, sound asleep with his bag as a pillow. He was dressed warmer than the night before, though he could've used another layer or two to be more comfortable.

"How come you always look cold when I come see you?"

Romeo said the words softly as he took off his outer coat and placed it over his sleeping friend. He was wearing gloves and a hat. But all that was left on his torso was a thin jacket. He never shivered once though. He opted to stay standing today because the ground was too cold to sit on and pushed a strand of loose hair out of Gavin's eye. He got out his bread and started ripping up the pieces as he waited to see if his friend would wake up while he was there or not.

((He's been there since before Romeo's lunch break. He has the day off for once. XD ))

Groaning quietly, he shivered a little, the warmth of the coat confusing him in his waking state. Blinking tiredly, his eyes found Romeo and he yawned. "Crap... Guess I got too cold and fell asleep..." he said tiredly.

"Nothing wrong with sleeping if you need to. Why stay outside all day when it's so cold out? You weren't waiting for me we're you?" Romeo flashed him a playful half smile and met his eyes while he was waking up.

"Yeah, actually," he muttered, sitting up. "Got an estimate for my car. It's a loss. Good news is my mechanic thinks he can help me out with another fixer upper that I should be able to nurse a few months out of. My car should've died a few years back, I managed to make it live this long. He can't get any money for it so he's just gonna give it to me. We're gonna make a Frankenstein outta it. Take what works in the dead car and shove them in the new one. Wish me luck. I'm afraid it might grow horns and start howling." He laughed a little, a dorky smile tugging at his lips.

"You know I'd really like to see that. We'll add a tail and some wings and turn it into some kind of metal dragon demon." He laughed and jumped up and down a little bit, trying to keep his warmth.

"Actually, I was more or less referring to the were-cars on Futurama..." He took Romeo's coat off and held it out towards him. "You can take it back. I'm used to the cold."

Romeo shrugged, taking his jacket back and wrapping it around his waist. "So am I." He pointed to the bench Gavin was sitting on and tilted his head a little. "May I?"

"Yeah, sure," he said, reaching up and rubbing at the side of his head.

"Got a headache or you just slept wrong?"

Romeo asked the question while sitting down on the bench as close as he could to Gavin for the warmth as well as to see what comfort zones Gavin had. Despite his protests about not being cold he was always the kind of guy who took what life gave him and smiled even if it hurt. He scattered the rest of the bread around the bench and crumpled up the plastic bag, putting it in his pocket.

"No, I just have trouble with my face going numb when I sleep. Usually the side I'm not sleeping on," he replied with a yawn, unfazed by Romeo's sudden closeness. "I think it's because I never have enough support under my head."

"Pillows do wonders for head support... but I suppose one doesn't think about bringing one to sleep on when one is waiting for someone and not planning on sleeping." Romeo chuckled and shook his head from side to side before looking over at Gavin. "So the good news is I should only have about an hour left at work before I get to go home for the day."

"Yeah, well, I only have two really old pillows at home anyways. I don't think I can stay our here for another hour. But my address is in the back of the book I gave you. That's really the only way you can contact me, I'm afraid... If you call me at work I'll get my ass kicked."

"I understand about the no contact while at work. They get pretty pissy about personal calls at my firm too." Romeo chewed over the other piece of information that he was given for a moment before he mentioned his thoughts on it. "Does this mean you'd like to see me at your home after I get off work today?"

"If you want. I mean, coming over is really the only way to contact me. I'd like to get a chance to spend more time with you, but I really don't feel like going anywhere and being treated, and if I stay outside for too much longer I'm going to be displayed in a freak show as a human popsicle."

"Ice can actually feel pretty good if you know how to use it right." Romeo winked at Gavin. "If your heater works good enough so you're not cold to begin with and you're good I might show you." He laughed for a little bit before getting a more serious expression on his face. "I'd really like the chance to spend more time with you too. But don't worry if I show up late. Sometimes I'm bad with directions."

He smiled a little and pulled his jacket tighter, shivering. "I'd rather avoid ice right now. But who knows, maybe I'll invite you over to keep me cool when the weather heats up," he grinned. "My apartment is the grotesquely ugly brick building between the Italian dry cleaners and the Chinese deli. And don't mind if I take a while answering the door, I might be asleep."

"This is going to come out sounding rather corny but I SWEAR it was the first thing I thought of when you spoke that last sentence. I'll have my thoughts of you to keep me warm while I wait." Romeo's face got crimson red and he looked away. "I'm really not TRYING to live up to my name's sake. It just comes out sometimes..."

Gavin burst out laughing, a warm, happy sound. "Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of huddling up under the blankets with my cat and crank up the heater. It's been a long time since anyone other than my cat has kept me warm while I slept, so that really isn't the first thing to cross my mind, and usually isn't even the second or third thing either."
