The White Manor [[Invitation Only]]

.:-Introduction-:. Hello, and Welcome to the White Manor! If you are here, it means one of two things. You either received an invitation (which indicates that you are welcome to stay and post), or you stumbled here by mistake (in which case, I advise you to leave before you suffer my unkind wrath). Don't try to trick me either, because I am keeping track of who I invite. So what is the White Manor, exactly? To put it simply, it is a place for me to enjoy role-playing with my friends, when I have found that role-playing in other places is not possible, difficult to keep track of, or just downright unpleasant. At the basic of the basics, it is a plot-less role-play. I am sorry to say that my brain lacks any foundation for this role-play, other than what I have previously stated. I will occasionally throw a few surprises here and there. However, this thread is mostly for us to indulge in pretending to be a being that sprouted from our imaginations. If you have received an invitation, you are welcome to post, but are certainly not obliged. I do hope, though, that you find a reason to stay. I highly doubt that anyone I invite would be so silly as to intentionally break the rules, which is why I invited you in the first place! This is just a formality, you can be sure. +No god-modding. Again, a formality. As your game-master, I might occasionally force the changes of time here and there, but I will avoid being rude. +Be literate. This includes using quotation marks (" ") when a character is speaking, proper narration, and using double brackets/parentheses ( [[]]/(()) ) when posting out of character. [b]+Keep the one-liners to a minimum. You are not required to write me a novel, but please stay away from single sentences. They are difficult to work with. + For now, no more than three characters per person (except for me, since I need to manage a few extra people). +No killing without the character owner's consent. EVER. +Be courteous. If you're rude, you can bet your sweet bottom I will kick you out, and not without damage. + You have a right to question me; one the following will happen afterward: I will either prove you wrong and obliterate you with my semi-literacy, or you will humble me completely and I will hide in the corner of shame. +Which reminds me, you can ask questions at any time, or correct me when I've made a mistake. .:-ABOUT THE HOUSE-:.
The manor is (obviously) white, exterior as well as interior. The building is two floors tall, with high ceilings and a very large footprint. There are a grand total of 20 bedrooms; 8 of which are taken. One is taken by the owner of the household (to be introduced below). The second is taken by her son. The thirds by her best friend. The fourth, by the butler, and the other four by the maids, cooks, and gardeners. The house is luxurious and modern, but devoid of useless clutter. All essentials are provided for, and recreational space is available. As well as an indoor pool, fitness center, theater, library, and music room, the building sports a sparring arena at the very end of the west wing. This area is soundproof, but help for the injured is readily available. The place is built at the edge of a forest, and is well-hidden in a valley between two obnoxiously large mountains. It is difficult to get there without the guidance of it's owner. Those who foolishly try to find this place without guidance suffer through terrible ordeals. .:-MY CHARACTERS-:. Note: These are characters I created for a story of mine (which has yet to see the light of day). The story spans quite a few thousand years, so the characters lean towards the "Mary Sue"/"Gary Stu" side. I will do my best to make them behave. Name: Shan Raikou Kyokukou (Alias, rarely used: Aurora) Sex/Gender: Female Age:6,038 Appearance: This woman is quite small-looking, barely reaching five feet in height. She is certainly much older than she appears. Her hair is a dark violet color that reaches down to her waist. Her left eye is a light lilac color; the eye remains hidden under an eye-patch at all times. Her skin is a light, creamy color, a hint of red never absent from her face. She is always modestly dressed, and likes to sport dresses from various cultures, old and new. As angel: She rarely takes this form, but I want to have it here anyway, just in case. Her skin is marble white, as well as her six wings. There are two gems visible on her front, one on her forehead, the other at the top of her breastbone. Her hair reaches close to the ground, and changes from being lilac at the roots, to an almost back violet at the tips. History: Shan has lived in heaven most of her life, dutifully following the word of God. As such, she has been granted time off to take a break from both her duties, and her home. There has been a past love interest in her life, but that person is no longer anywhere to be seen. Personality: Shan is quiet and shy, and to people's dismay, is too apologetic. She is usually calm, but when angry, it is difficult to calm her down. Extra: In her angel form, she has the ability to fly, however, she rarely takes that form. Her specialty is the creation and control of electric currents; incorporated into her fighting style is Bagua Zhang, or circle-walking. Her weapons of choice are her twin fans, with metal frames to conduct currents. Name: Yuki Sex/Gender: Male Age: Seven Appearance: Taking after his mother, Shan, Yuki is small for his age. He is usually shorted than others his age. He inherited his mother's dark violet hair (which he keeps at shoulder length), and his father's golden eyes. His skin is pale, but not too different from his mother's. He is usually clad in white, to reflect the sunlight away from himself. History: Yuki is the child of Shan and her past love interest. He grew up without meeting his father, but by no means does he feel the need for a father; he truly believes his mother provided for him everything he needed. Because of his illness, Yuki avoids going outside on hot days, and instead spends time indoors reading, making him a relatively intelligent child. Personality: Like his mother, he is introverted. However, the fact that he is a child also means he is curious, and he opes up to people quickly enough. Extra: Being the child of a Unicorn and an Angel, Yuki is a pegasus in more or less human form. He is able to perform only the purest form of magic, and is a long-range fighter, because he is physically weak. His weapon of choice is a flute that turns into a long staff. Name: Yume Sex/Gender: Female Age: 20,347 Appearance: A relatively tall woman, Yume stands at 5 feet 8 inches, and has very pale skin. Her eyes are a piercing ice blue, and have small black marks under them which occasionally make her look tired. She has long black hair reaching down to her waist. Her wardrobe consists of nothing but black, white, and various shades of blue, with some silver accessories to finish her outfits off. She has a lip ring on her lower left lip. History: One of the more unique angels, Yume is known as the Dreamweaver, or the Butterfly angel. She spends most of her life sleeping because of the nature of her powers, but she does her best to stay awake for long periods of time. Personality: In constant need of sleep, this woman is extremely irritable and cold. It is difficult to catch her in a good mood because she is drowsy for an hour after she wakes up, and only moments after she feels fully awake, she feels like she needs to sleep again. Extra: As a Dreamweaver, Yume is constantly bombarded with unwanted images from others' minds. She has learned to keep those stray thoughts at bay by blocking the minds of others completely. Occasionally she will mess up, but she is quite good at it. There are times when she will use her dream-viewing and dream-manipulating powers to help others, but only if she really feels like it. Name:Yume (the wolf) Sex/Gender:Female Age:5,998 Appearance: Yume is a large black wolf, with blue eyes similar to that of her master's. As a supernatural animal, she stands past six feet in height. History: Unwittingly named, Yume was found by Shan at a young age. Shan saw so much of Yume in the wolf that she gave little thought to naming it after her dear friend, then giving it to her as a gift. The wolf has been with her master ever since, and occasionally serves as a large pillow. Personality: The wolf is quite playful, and unusually catty. Extra: Yume is capable of lifting heavy loads and communicating with her master from large distances. Name: Dark Sex/Gender:Male Age:6,003 Appearance: Dark sands at 5 foot seven. His shoulder-length hair is black, and his eyes are a sapphire blue. His skin is fairly dark, nearing the shade of milk chocolate. He is usually seen in well-tailored black suits. History: Dark is one of those unfortunate enough to have Shan name him when she was fairly young. He was given to her to be her companion and assistant. Having never seen someone of his skin color before, "Dark" was the first thing that came to the young girl's mind. Dark has seen Shan through most of her life, and now refuses to have his name changed, despite the strangeness of it. He currently functions as the manor's butler. Personality: Dark is quiet and obedient, speaking only when necessary. She was on the couch again. For the past few months, that was all she had been doing: sitting on the couch in various positions until she finally gave up and walked around the house multiple times. This time, Shan was too unwilling to do even that. Instead, she had her head down against the armrest on the couch that was closest to the window. Her face was covered by her violet hair, however, so she certainly wasn't looking outside. Staring fixedly at the texture of the couch, she tried to concentrate.
It wasn't that she didn't have things to do, it was that she had hardly anyone to do thins with. Yume was often asleep, and her son could not often go outside. And Dark was, well... Dark had other things to attend to, all at her command. It was thanks to him that things were running smoothly. He had been the one to take care of all the proper arrangements. She knew also, that he had taken care of trying to find more people to keep her company. What good was her time off if she was unable to enjoy it? But now she was becoming frightened. What if the newcomers didn't like her, or what if they didn't come at all? Or worse, what if she accidentally offended one of them in a way that would drive all the others away? She tapped her foot vigorously, a combination of impatience and fear. |
