He awoke to sunlight hitting his face, so he sleepily got out of bed, yawning and stretching, he actually had a good sleep, not plagued by nightmares like before. When he heard knocking at his door he went to answer it and opened the door slightly, he found Seh'ethil, "oh, hey Seh'ethil, has it been a full day already?" He asked, rubbing his eyes to help wake himself up. The maid who took his clothes before came up the stairs with them neatly folded in her arms, "here you are sir, fresh from the clothes line," she handed them to him and he took them, "thank you ma'am,' he gave her a couple gold coins and she went back to attend the other guests. "Excuse me Seh'ethil," he said, going back into his room to get dressed.
He came back out a little while later, adjusting his hat and buckling his belt, "so what should we do today?" He asked, "I'll go wherever you wanna go."

Seh'ethil paused and then turned as Link came back out from his room, ready to leave the inn. The elf looked back over his shoulder to his friend, as he responded, "It's your break, you shouldn't let me decide all the fun."
Seh'ethil began down the stairs with Link, heading to the inn's entrance and then out the front door. Despite that the town was apparently at war, only parts of it showed it, the rest of it remaining joyful and happy, as if all the people were oblivious and ignorant to it all, just going on with their blissful lives. As they walked through the town in search of something to do, the elf stopped near a cart and bought some fruit, eating it as they went on their way.
"I've sort of wondered, Link..." Seh'ethils started, stopping to plop a grape into his mouth. He paused before continuing and decided to rephrase his thoughts. "Well just... thanks for being my friend."

"You're welcome" he replied smiling, "I'm glad you're my friend too" as they went on with their day a bunch of young children ran by them giggling, they stopped and sat down outside a booth, when the curtains opened up it revealed a small stage, it was a puppeteer booth. Not one to really pay attention to such things he ignored it and went on his way, only when he saw the actual puppets in the corner of his eye did he pay attention. One looked just like him when he was alive, along with Zelda and Ganon.
"I'm here to tell you a tale, a tale of fantasy and wonder, the tale of me, the Hero of Time!" Spoke the puppeteer in a high pitched voice, making the Link puppet seem like its talking. He didn't know how to react, the fact his existence was even mentioned out here, miles away from his home was surprising. The puppeteer brought up almost everything about his adventure, from the very beginning to the end where he saves the princess and all of Hyrule from Ganon. The children cheered and clapped their hands at the heroic parts and grew sad at the emotional parts, it was amusing seeing his life replayed through puppets and paintings of different backgrounds to symbolize his travels. When the story ended the children cheered and laughed, they started to leave when the curtains closed.
"What an amazing story, Link is so brave! Too bad he doesn't exist." A little boy said, "Princess Zelda sounds so beautiful, oh if only she was real!" Said a little girl longingly. Despite him staying there, listening to his life story, he felt a bit disappointed when the children didn't believe in it, just thinking it was a simple fairy tale. "I thought kids would believe in such tales... I guess I was wrong." He said to himself quietly, so he continued to explore the village, not finding anything else interesting so he went back to the inn to relax. "If you find anything interesting Seh'ethil, come find me please, okay?" He asked as he left.

Seh'ethil hadn't thought anything of the puppet show till Link stopped to watch it, and interested in whatever he was so preoccupied with, the elf looked and watch himself. He took it more like a history lesson on his friend if anything, over the cute little story it was supposed to be to the children.
"Alright," Seh'ethil said, waving to Link as he left. The elf walked along the streets of the town, passing by an alley, only noticing it as he heard shouts for help down it. Before he'd met Link, the archer probably would have shrugged it off and stuck to his own business, yet, having spent time with the hero gave him a change of heart, as well as ethics.
Seh'ethil ran down the alley only to find out he'd been tricked. Two grinning, beat up looking mugs stuck out from the shadows, one, the woman, displaying fake, panicked screams to lure anyone brave enough in.
"Kekeke, looks like we got one," The man said, smirking. The woman looked at him and they both drew their weapons; one held a scimitar and the other daggers. "Scrawny little thing, aye.." The woman cackled, "Got big ears, though."
Seh'ethil was quick to grab his bow. Despite that it was two against once, he had no intentions of losing. He pulled back on the string, aimed an arrow, planning first to shoot at the male. To the two criminals, it seemed hilarious, however. "Little elf 'has a bow! Oh no! Whatever shall we do!" The man said, his sarcasm hitting obnoxious levels of mellodrama.
The archer wasn't going to spend his time listening to their insults, and so an arrow went flying into the man's leg. The two must have been missing a few marbles, as they both continued laughing, even after the man had been injured. Seh'ethil began to step back and out of the alley, readying another arrow just in case. Before he could the woman jumped up against the wall, and then over him, landing behind him with her scimitar ready. The elf turned to defend himself from the woman, only to have her land a kick to his stomach, knocking him down.
Seh'ethil's bow landed just out of his reach and he stretched out to grab it. His fingers were just short of it and the female attacker grinned as her foot stomped down onto his hand, preventing him from grabbing his weapon, and equally crushing it. The unexpected yell the elf let out was quite sincere in comparison to the lady's faked ones earlier, halted only by a gasp for breath as she stepped down again, this time on his back, knocking the air out of him.
As the male limped over to them both, Seh'ethil turned quickly, lifting his bow off the ground. It forced the lady off of him and she nearly fell back in some surprise, just as the archer shot her in the stomach. She sat back against the wall of the alley with her hand on her stomach, from which blood was escaping from, and continued to cackle like a hyena. The man, perhaps with a bit more sane mind, seemed more concerned and even enraged for his partner's wound, which had more fatal potential. The elf wasn't going to wait around for the guy to slice him up, though, and quickly got to his feet, running away.
Seh'ethil didn't like that he had to run from the criminals, also knowing they were still loose to wreak havoc on any of the towns people, as they pleased. Yet, it was hard enough to have shot the woman after the injury to his hand. When the archer felt he'd gotten far enough away, and undoubtedly lost any trace of the two, he looked down at his hand. His fingers were mostly just bruised, however, his index was not so lucky; it was broken. He paused to set his finger, intaking a deep breath to help bare the pain that came from doing such a task.
It was a relatively minor injury, yet the archer needed his hands, and so it was also quite a hindering one. Trying to forget about what had just taken place, Seh'ethil moved on, continuing to explore what the town had to offer as he had before. Anything to keep his mind off of having fled, feeling cowardly for doing so.
The archer stepped into a small clearly passed a couple of buildings. There was a pond, and it was relatively calm, the only other life asides from vegetation was a frog and a few fish in the water. Seh'ethil sat at a small bench in the area to think things over, then headed back to the inn to find Link.
Seh'ethil went up the stairs of the inn, the door to Link's room was unlocked, so he invited himself inside. "Link," He said, knocking before opening the door. "I found this spot... it's nice. Would you like to come see it?"

"Seh'ethil... I can sense something evil in the air, what happened?" He asked as he got off his bed. He looked down at Seh'ethil's hand, "Midna, see what you can do to help him, please" she appeared on top of Link's bed. "Okay! Come sit down over here please Seh'ethil" she asked of him, pointing to the bed, when he sat down she gently lifted up his hand. Using the same magic for Link's wound she managed to heal his hand back to normal. "There you go! Call on me again when you need me!" She disappeared and Link's shadow came back. "I would like to know what happened to you... but if you don't feel like talking about it I'll stop mentioning it."
He soon calmed down and got back on topic, "uhh, sure, I'd like to see this nice place you found."

The elf was surprised at what Link could tell, and hadn't even expected him to notice his hand. He followed over to the bed and sat now, giving Midna a soft smile as she fixed him up, "Thanks Midna.. you didn't have to."
Seh'ethil looked towards Link with a reassuring smile as he stood up. "It was nothing. I'm clumsy," the elf said. He considered making up a story instead of explaining what had really happened, but couldn't lie to his friend. So instead, he just didn't mention anything.
The archer walked out of the room, going to lead Link to the spot he'd previously found and spoke of. "It's nice," He repeated, for emphasis, perhaps only wanting to change the subject. He wondered if it wouldn't have been better to go and find the criminals, if only so they wouldn't terrorize anyone else again. But, the archer was satisfied that the female of the duo wouldn't be getting up anytime soon, and with the injury to his leg the male would find it difficult to cause too much trouble. For now, at least.
As he lead Link through the town, the elf began to get a bit lost, nearly forgetting where the clearing had been. He almost walked passed it before noticing the two buildings the path to it had been hidden between, and then went to it. The pond was sparkling lightly from the bit of sun that made it through the roof's edges that covered the sky around it. Seh'ethil again sat down on the bench that was there. "I figured it was nicer than stuffing yourself up in the inn," He said. On their way they'd passed a mask shop and the elf figured he might take Link there next, not that he was sure his friend had any interest in such things.

Link felt like Seh'ethil wasn't telling him the whole story, but he didn't want to bug him over it, he just followed him without another word. "Its very pretty here" he commented as he sat down next to Seh'ethil on the bench. "This must be someone's private garden," as he said that a small frog had jumped over to them and landed on Link's knee, it croaked and looked at Link with its big eyes. Link shooed it away and it jumped back into the tiny pond, sitting on a lily pad, it made Link chuckle. "By the way, I couldn't help but notice that mask shop, do you want to check it out now?" He asked Seh'ethil.

Seh'ethil laughed lightly at how the frog had been attracted to Link. He got to his feet as Link mentioned the mask shop. "I didn't think you would be interested in it," the elf commented, leaving the garden as they walked towards it.
The merchant at the mask shop was relatively pushy and even kind of creepy, but the masks he sold were of amazing quality. They were of all shapes, sizes and designs, many displaying faces of mythical creatures; some were just so glamorously decorated that they drew your eye to them. The elf smiled as he saw a mask that looked vaguely like the Link puppet from the earlier show that'd been put on earlier.
Seh'ethil took one of the more decorative masks off the wall and tried it on, for fun. He turned to Link, holding it to his face. "You should buy one, with me," He said, assuming they'd make interesting souvenirs. The merchant kept blabbering on about his masks, and the deals on them, trying relentlessly to make a sale.
In the end the elf picked out one of a beast. It had colorful fur all around it, as if a mane, feathers and beads helping decorate it. It's mouth was a beak and it had horns of a deer. It's expression was neatly designed. Seh'ethil brought it to the salesman, who snickered as if he was about to rip him off, yet the archer found no problem with the price. He paid for it and stuffed it in his pack. It was more or less a waste of space, but it'd hold memory of being in this town, and it was nice on the eyes to look at.

He looked around at all the many choices of masks, but he couldn't help noticing one that was all too familiar to him. It was the Oni Mask from his childhood, he wondered if its magic still existed in the mask, "mask merchant, how much for this one?" Link asked, pointing at it, the merchant scratched his chin, thinking, "why would you want that ugly old thing? Well... no one has bought it ever since I got it off a fellow merchant, so for you... 20 gold coins." Link didn't care much about the price, thankfully he had just enough and he handed the merchant his money, he swiftly grabbed the mask. "Hey Seh'ethil, can you hold onto mine for me please? I don't have any way to store it myself." He asked, handing it to Seh'ethil.

"Yeah," Seh'ethil said, agreeing to hold the mask. He looked it over carefully, wondering why Link had picked it, and then put it in his pack with the rest of his things. As they left the mask shop the elf saw a play being put on, a crowd collecting around it as curtains were drawn back for it to start. He walked over and watched for a bit, but not finding any amusement in it, moved on.
"Let's head back to the inn," The archer suggested, turning to Link. On their way he saw a unwantingly familiar face, and instinctively drew his bow. It was the man who he'd previously been tricked by in the alley, although his female accomplice was no where to be found. He had managed to remove the arrow from earlier, but he still walked with a sort of limp.
Seh'ethil shot an arrow that narrowly flew passed the man's head, missing intentionally, as if a warning shot. The man, looking back and recognizing the elf grinned wildly, not bothering to give chase. He took out his daggers, and stepped out. The towns people soon became aware of the fight, as they were in a popular street. Some stopped to watch from a distance and others either fled or went on like normal.
"I'll get you this time little elf," The man said, leaping forward to cut at him with one of his daggers. Seh'ethil shot him in the arm just as he did, however, forcing him to miss and drop the dagger. His other arm, fully functional, went for a stab. The archer figured he'd have to end up explaining what had happened earlier to Link this time, considering it would have been odd if he'd just shot at the man without him at all provoking Seh'ethil.

Link had drawn his sword and stopped the man from stabbing Seh'ethil by using it to block him. "So you're the one who caused that trouble earlier, huh?" Link said as he kicked the dagger out of the man's hand and he prepared to slice the man's throat with his own sword. "Leave us now, or prepare to die!" Link demanded, the man, fearing for his life ended up running away like a coward, Link put his sword back, he looked around at the crowd of people that were still standing and watching. "Theres nothing left to see here, so get going!" He yelled to the crowd, some ran away while others went inside their houses to hide. He sighed, "are you okay, Seh'ethil?" He asked him, "I guess there are still bad people all the way out here, huh?"

"I'm fine.." He said, watching the people who'd hung around disperse. "..Thanks Link."
Seh'ethil hadn't meant to cause any form of show, glad Link had chased them off. "There's no good without evil.." The elf said, quietly to himself. It was sad there were so many cruel hearted people out there.
Seh'ethil put his bow away and began to walk with Link to the inn, where they were originally headed. "There was a woman with him before," He said, wondering what had become of her. It was possible she'd died from her wound, but more likely she was resting some place, recovering. The elf wished such things would teach them a lesson, but it seemed nothing would convert people like that to what he wanted to consider the 'good side of things.'
It made him think about the war between two kingdoms, wondering if they were anymore justified to fight on this town's side than they were to fight on the other's. He'd leave that, however, for another day, when they weren't resting - or at least, trying to.
Seh'ethil invited Link into his room once they'd made it back, setting his things down on the floor at the end of his bed. He took a seat on top of it and offered for Link to sit too. They hadn't even known each other for so long and already the archer owed his life to both Link and Midna, for the many times they'd gotten him out of tight spots.

"You're welcome Seh'ethil," he said as they started to head back to the inn, when they reached Seh'ethil's room he joined him on his bed, he let out a big sigh and slouched, his hat fell on the floor. "I've been wondering lately Seh'ethil" he started to say, picking up his hat and putting it back on "where are you from...?" He asked him curiously.

The question caught Seh'ethil off guard for a second, yet he answered cheerfully, with a smile. "No where to be proud of," He explained. It wasn't much of an response. The elf looked up at the ceiling, as if lost in memory, flashbacks flooding his mind.
"There's been on and off war for as far back as I can remember. I don't miss it. My people thought too highly of themselves, and it caused trouble," He said, his head still tilted up. "Most of us left, some out of fear and well... I just, didn't think it was worth fighting for."
His smile had softened as he looked back down. "I could bring you there someday, but I can't even promise there's anything left of my home land." He thought back to how beautiful it used to be, and perhaps the scenery was the only thing he even vaguely missed about it. In all honesty, the archer knew they'd still be holding their own ground, yet he also understood that if he went back, he'd be considered a coward for ever leaving; an outcast. 'The children of the night,' as they called themselves, had far too much pride to accept anyone who would run away from battle, and would take no excuses.
"Do you miss home much, Link?" Seh'ethil asked, turning to face his friend.

"I do sometimes," he replied, "it was such a beautiful place, but I can't head back home either... all my friends think that I'm dead, going back now would just make a mess of things. So many questions would need answering, though I do wish to see their smiling faces at least once more. I just hope everyone is living peaceful lives now, no longer plagued by evil, just happiness for one and all, thats my one desire." He tried to hold back a tear, the many memories of his youth seemed to come back all that once, he sniffled. "I'm sure you'd like it there if I could go back and show you." He got off the bed and started to leave, "if you don't mind Seh'ethil, I'd like some time alone, see ya later, okay?" He slowly closed the door behind him and went into his own room.

Seh'ethil nodded, allowing Link to leave, understanding it was probably a sensitive question. Once again he found himself wanting to tell Link it wasn't too late to go back, yet he understood the decision was Link's and not his.
The elf folded his arms behind his head and laid back on his bed, and began to drift off to sleep. Despite the discomfort of the bed he managed to have a decent nap. When Seh'ethil woke up he stretched out, it was coming closer to night fall now. Feeling hungry he dug into his pack for some food, enjoying that which he still had stored. He started to clean things out a bit, discarding no longer needed items and garbage.

Despite how sleepy Link was he couldn't fall asleep, he was too busy thinking about his past. It did nothing but upset him so he thought of something else, the soldier's invite to help in the war. "I should tell Seh'ethil that I'm ready to help... in the... morning" he yawned loudly and finally fell asleep. When he finally woke up it was morning, a bird was on his window sill outside, chirping loudly, he threw his boot at the window, scaring the bird away, he lazily got out of bed and stretched. "What was I gonna talk to Seh'ethil about...?" He thought to himself, rubbing his eyes, it hit him just then, "oh yeah! The war invite!"
He quickly put on his boots and left his room, closing the door behind him, he ran down the hall and knocked on Seh'ethil's door. "Hey Seh'ethil," he said as he knocked, "I need to talk to you, are you awake?"

He picked off his things from the floor and slung them around his back, then looked back at Link curiously. The elf pushed a strand of hair out of his face, and stepped back from the door, allowing Link entrance to the room if he pleased to talk in private.

He accepted Seh'ethil's invite into his room and began to explain the situation, "I know its a bit early but I was thinking about that offer the soldier gave us the other day, right now I'm starting to get the urge to battle, I've relaxed enough. However if you want to rest some more then I'll wait a bit longer, what do you say?" He asked Seh'ethil, secretly hoping to get a 'yes' from his sleepy friend.

Seh'ethil nodded his head, checking his bow and arrows out of habbit. "I said I'd stand by whatever you decided, Link," He said, getting up. "Let's go now."
As they went out the front of the inn the elf waved to the inn's keeper's daughter, who waved back at both of them. She felt trapped behind her counter, tending to the guests, wishing she could go out so frequently as they did.
"Do you think it'd be best just to head to the castle?" Seh'ethil asked, figuring they wouldn't run into any soldiers by chance out in the main square of the village. He'd allow Link to lead the way, assuming he had a better idea of where to find whoever it was they needed to talk to.

((My sister wants me to hang out with her... so I gotta go after this post, I'll talk to you later, okay Devin? See ya. :())
He left the inn and caught sight of the castle in the distance, he ran toward it and traveled up the long cobble stone road to reach the drawbridge. "Halt! Who goes there?!" Shouted one of the lookout guards. "It is I, Link, and my friend Seh'ethil, we've come to assist you in the fight against the opposing kingdom!" Link shouted back, "very well! Lower the bridge men!" Soon the giant bridge lowered down, after they walked across the bridge was brought back up. "Follow us young sirs, we shall take you to the captain's quarters," said one of the armored knights, soon they entered the castle, going down flights of stairs to meet the captain.
As they got closer you could hear someone discussing attack plans faintly, "our strongest soldiers and most skilled archers shall remain here to protect the castle, while our others shall head to the field and fight head on." Explained the captain when he came into view through the door way, "it will be a bloody battle men, but we can win this if we give it all we've got, are you with me?" His soldiers nodded in response, "captain, we've brought you two new recruits," said one of the knights, "very well, send them in" replied the captain.
Link walked in with Seh'ethil behind him, "hmm... you two look a bit young to become soldiers, what are your names kids?" Asked the captain, "my name is Link and this is Seh'ethil, I feel you'll be needing our skills to win this battle," the captain gave him a quick laugh, "you're funny kid, alright, I'll give you a chance, knights, take them to their appropriate chambers to prepare for battle, the enemy troops are closing in fast." The knights soon led Link and Seh'ethil apart, Link went to the warriors chamber with one and Seh'ethil went up to the towers to meet the other archers with another knight.
"Good luck Seh'ethil!" Link said, saying good bye to his friend for now.

((Byebye Lindsay, have fun with your sister! ))
"May your battles be great, Link..." Seh'ethil said. He was sad to part from his friend, but still hyped up for a fight, understanding they might meet again on the battlefield. The knight the elf had traveled with up to the tower relayed their captain's orders to the head man in the tower.
"...And you have a new hand," The knight said, allowing Seh'ethil to join the group of archers. "He's a bit tiny," The head archer said, even compared to the other bowmen he seemed much thinner. "Captain let him on," The knight explained, leaving promptly, they didn't have time to further question the elf's physical endurance.
The head archer looked Seh'ethil up and down, then placed him amongst a row of bowmen, all waiting on the edge of the castle's wall to shoot if need be. He began to relay commands, but Seh'ethil wasn't listening, and apparently, neither was the man beside him. "Step back, kid, you'll just get in the way," The bowman to the right of him said, cockily.
"I've got better aim than any one of you," The elf said, in a whisper. Apparently anyone within an earshot already took it as a challenge. In all honestly, Seh'ethil didn't know whether his archery was better than the rest of them, yet, he made the assumption. His natural agileness gave him a heads start on any ordinary human, who would be clumsy in comparison.
Voices were yelling as a small platoon of men from the opposing kingdom had managed to make it around the castle's side. "Close the gates! Arm yourselves!" Soldiers shouted, it seemed almost as if a constant echo, as the phrase had to be repeated many a time to have word spread.
"Ready... Shoot!" The archer's squad leader shouted, arrows raining down on the intruders. Seh'ethil didn't let his go with the rest of the group, instead biding his time to get a better aim. "What are you doing? Shoot already!" One of the men beside him said. Another laughed lightly as he reloaded his bow, "Ye' see! The boys useless! Better aim than I, ha. ha."
However, the men had to swallow their words as the elf let an arrow fly, having it strike through the skull of one of the leading men of the intruding platoon. Another followed it, taking out a horse, which fell over on another one of their men and took them both out. There was break for Seh'ethil to brag, though, as the row of archers let off another arrow rain, striking and finishing off the small platoon.
Everyone waited around for a while, in case more were to come, but then backed off and relaxed slightly as the coast seemed clear. Not one of the nearby men continued to lip Seh'ethil off, or even comment. The troop leader, though, seemed a bit aggravated that the elf was not following with the rest of the archers. Yet, he could not complain, as Seh'ethil's method seemed to work.
After a while, the elven archer grew quite tired of sitting up in the castle, waiting for oncoming prey to shoot at. "I want out on the field," Seh'ethil said, approaching the leading bowman. He shook his head at the elf's request, "No can do, bud. It'd be murder to send someone like you out there."
"...I want out on the field," Seh'ethil repeated. The head man let out a sigh, knowing there was no convincing him otherwise. "Get outta 'ere then. And take this with you," The man said, pulling an extra dagger belt off of a table and giving it to him. He then handed him the dagger, which fit in the pouch of the belt as if they were made for each other. The elf nodded, and ran off down the stairs.
The guards lowered the gate for him when he requested without asking much question, assuming that Seh'ethil had chicken out, and wanted to leave. Although the elf was doing no such thing, instead running out into the town and down the stairs they'd originally entered in, finding his horse in the stable. He led it up the stairs carefully and then through the town, getting on as he reached the dirt path towards the castle. The guards were a bit surprised to see him return, yet like many others, they didn't have the time to pay it extra mind.
Seh'ethil road around the side of the castle, out and towards where the real battle was taking place. There was a vast forest in the way before a barren field where everyone fought. At first, the archer took cover in the trees, shooting those which had come close to the boundaries of their castle. Yet, this still hadn't satisfied him. He road further out into the scene, piercing many armor with his arrow's tip. The special made arrows the blacksmith had crafted him were proving their worth as they broke through metals even swords had trouble slashing.
The sight of the battle was horrific, and Seh'ethil was reminded of his own war plagued home. Interestingly enough, this forced him to fight on all the harder. For the most part, the elf fought with his bow, however, as a knight approached him, sword upraised, he ended up trampling the man with his horse.
It wasn't long until the elven archer had to face others with similar weaponry. An arrow flew in his direction and would have fallen his horse had Seh'ethil not taken the hit, allowing it to instead hit his arm. It wasn't a deep wound, and the elf took the time to pull it out. He hadn't any other choice, as it was, if he let his horse fall then he stood a chance of being crushed under it. He quickly shot back at the archer which had landed shot at him, forcing him down.

Link went back up to the main outside chamber of the castle, meeting up with other soldiers that were waiting for any enemies fool enough to try and break through the drawbridge. "Hey, check out the new kid, what was our captain thinking?" Whispered one soldier to his friend, "I dunno but our captain must be pretty desperate to win this, he'd let anyone join." His friend replied, Link could hear their whole conversation, he scoffed at their judgment and leaned up against the left wall with his arms crossed to wait for oncoming enemies. After a while he never expected this to take so long and he sighed with boredom, but the other warriors didn't seem to mind.
"Is this all we're gonna do? Wait? Don't you want to actually fight something?" Link asked them all, but they didn't answer, "incoming enemies!" Shouted the lookout, "lower the bridge and let our best men out!" They all gathered in front of the bridge with Link trying to push his way in, but he couldn't get through, when the bridge lowered all the way Link jumped over the soldiers and got a head start in the fighting. After a few minutes of sword slashing and clanging the enemy fell down dead with no one injured on Link's side, but his urge to fight was not satisfied. "I'm going out to the field!" Link shouted as he ran toward it, some of the soldiers would've stopped him but they felt he'd be better out there.
He passed through the trees and was greeted with hundreds of warriors fighting and archers on horses in the distance for the enemy and some close up for his side. He caught sight of Seh'ethil's hair and ears so he ran up to his side, "Seh'ethil, can I have my mask now, please?!" He shouted over all the noises going on, "theres no time to question why, we need it, now! Please!"

Seh'ethil looked down to Link, relatively confused at his request, barely able to hear him. Yet, without a word, he began to pull off his pack and dig into it for the mask. In the middle of his digging he had to stop for a second, to shoot an arrow at an oncoming enemy. The elf, finally finding it, leaned down from his horse and passed the mask to Link. He'd have spent more time wondering whatever had Link needed it for, if they weren't in the middle of a war.
The elven archer slung his pack back around his shoulder and shot up at an incoming arrow, just barely managing to hit it away with his own. Seh'ethil had to stray slightly from his friend, yet he kept in close enough distance that he was able to occasionally cover him, shooting at enemy soldiers in attempts to bide Link some time to do whatever it was he intended with the mask.
The elf was unable to evade the next arrow that came at him, however, luckily, it only hit the horse's saddle, disrupting neither him nor his horse, as it hadn't pierced through the leather. Seh'ethil was really starting to resent archers, even if archery was his own practice.

He ran back to the trees and looked at the mask in his hands, "please work..." he pleaded, hoping the magic wasn't gone. He put it on and waited, a few seconds later the mask finally worked, Link's screaming could be heard, he turned into Oni Link, he went back to the field, cutting trees down in his path with his enormous blade. He shook the earth with every step he took, when everyone could see him running up and ready to fight, some fled while others stayed. His side of the army got out of his way with no problem, afraid of his immense power, giving him the whole field to destroy the enemy.
With a swing of his sword he released a wave of power that scarred the earth's face, obliterating any enemy soldiers in its way. With just that one swing a third of the remaining troops were completely gone, "retreat!!!" Shouted the enemy captain, they did just that, running for their lives, Link's side of the army chased after the retreating enemy, killing any that were too slow. The archers followed on horseback, helping to shoot down the enemy as well, Link started to chase them all when everyone was ahead, hoping they would lead them all to their castle.
