In the kingdom of Nacussa, A young prince is supposed to be married to a strange lady with a royal name. The Prince doesn't want to be king, and also has suspicions of the lady being... not of normal people.

Also in the kingdom, a guard is trying to prove his worth to the king and to one of the maidens. He is forced to help train a young magician who is on trial for the forces of magic under the King's order.


What will happen between these people? Let us let the story unfold.

Personality: She has a sharp tounge and never keeps her opinions to herself. Short tempered she'll argue about nearly anything. Her grandfather promised her to the young Prince in hopes that he could change her into a proper lady.

Personality: A happy go lucky clutz who was brought up by her mother, a famous witch. She can't seem to get her spells right and never takes anything seriously. She was shipped off to the military to let the king try his hand with magic in the army and hopefully to discipline Lacey.

Name : Prince Terrian ( Ter ) Naumil III
Age : 16
Personality : The Prince is in training to become the king. He doesn't want anything to do with becoming the king, and tries to shirk his responsibilities more with carefree fun and adventure. He doesn't really like the new girl that he is supposed to be wed to.

Name : Arrand von Castulia
Age : 15
Personality : Arrand is a knight in the kingdom. He isn't as brave as all the other knights, but he does try hard. He is trying to impress the king and one of the maidens in the kingdom. He tries hard, but is known to be a big clutz.

It was a bright morning and Lady Nautica's carriage had just stopped outside the palace grounds. Stepping out slowly she was greated by an older looking man dressed as a butler. He welcomed her and brought her inside, there was a group of four or five other men that began dragging her luggage up to her room.

"I just want to meet the Prince, please." She said in a slightly cold tone. Her eyes flashed on the butlers face. Her thin frame was tiny compared to his, but he shuddered all the same and nodded.

"He should be in the courtyard by now my lady, please, this way." He bowed his head slightly as he changed course from bringing her to her room, towards the large courtyard.

The Prince sat outside in his garden, staring at the sky. He had a massive amount of paperwork to finish, but he was taking his time today.
" The sky is so blue today... kinda makes me want to nap a little " he said to himself, laying back into the grass softly. He sighed and smiles and the clouds went by. All o a sudden, a shadow loomed over him slowly.

" Er, what is it? " He asked his butler, coming to check on him.

" Sir, you have a guest " He replied as he helped the prince up slowly.

Lady Nautica eyed the Prince, it was obvious that she was older then him. He was still taller then her by at least three inches, and he had a sureness about himself, and what he wanted. She curtsied to him slightly and tilted her head, hair falling to one side.

"I am Nautica Villefort." She said in her song-like voice.

The Prince turned a slight red as he saw the girl. He looked down slight and turned his head.
" I-i-i am Prince Terrian the 3rd " he said as he bowed. This girl was really pretty. He wondered why she was at the Palace and what business she had.
" Tell me miss Nautica, what brings you here? " he asked politely, smiling slightly.

Arrand awoke from his bed and looked over at his clothes. He then hastly got up and screamed.
" Oh crap, Oh crap I'm late... I'M LATE ! " he exclaimed as he grabbed his armor and threw it onto himself. He hastily grabbed his sword and headed down the hallways onto the training field.

Nautica's face wrinkled in confusion at his question.

"I'm.. you're bride to be." She said simply. "I've been journeying for a month to get here.. Didn't your father tell you about me?" Her voice was filled with irritation now. She didn't even want to be here.

Lacey was sighing. "It's nine in the morning.. I'm in the right place..What am I suppose to wait for?" She frowned trying to think if this was a test. She was standing outside in the guards training grounds, rocking back and forth on her heels. She was to be meeting her teacher, who was in fact new to the ranks as well.

"And I'm suppose to learn discipline here.." She snorted at the idea.

The Prince turned bright red and look at Nautica in disbelief
" I'm supposed to get MARRIED?!? " He replied loudly as he looked at his butler. He looked at his butler, face still in shock.

" Weren't you paying attention young master, your father did tell you this more than once, I'm afraid " the butler said as he patted The Prince's head softly.

" I shall leave you two alone for now "

" Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap ! " Arrand replied as he made it to the training field, he tripped and rolled into the fieldd, stopping right in front of a girl. He looked up at her, blowing grass away from his eyes.

" Oh, hello there, ma'am. " He replied kindly as he smile embarrassingly.

Nautica grimaced and shook her head.

"So you did know... You're just incompetent." She said harshly. After such a long journey she had no patience for him. "Unbelivable... I'm suppose to marry you... A child. You probably wouldn't know how to take care of a Kingdom if you're life depended on it." Her cheeks were flushed now in frustration.

The tinge of red seemed to be the only color on her pale skin. She glared at him slightly and crossed her arms.

Lacey frowned at the man and got to her feet, pointing down at him with her staff.

"Are you the one I was to meet here?" She glanced at the sky for a moment. "You were to be here an hour ago." She chastised. "I should go report you!" Her voice was giggly now at the idea of it. Her first day here and she would be able to watch some one else get chewed out.

The Prince clutched his fist tightly and turned away. He angrily looked at the ground and raised his voice.
" I DO know how to take care of this kingdom, what I DON'T want is someone like you criticizing me about it. " He said out loud, turning a brighter red. He started to walk off, but stopped and turned to look at the girl.
" This kingdom would be better with a different king than me... " He said as he walked off to the knight training ground.

" N-no-no-no , that's not needed " Arrand replied as he jumped up. He dusted himself off and smiled as his sword hilt touched the ground.
" My name is Arrand Von Castulia " He said triumphantly as he smiled down at the girl " and the only reason I am late was because I was attending to important matters. What might your name be? " He asked her, softly.

Nautica rolled her eyes. "The Kingdom would do better with a Prince that cares about his people." She bit back, watching him as he walked off. "Humans.. Impossibly selfish creatures." She sneered and turned, heading back inside as she frowned up at the sun before allowing the butler to show her where her room was.

Lacey snorted again. "Right. I doubt sleeping in counts as important matters."

She twirled her staff in her hand as she glanced over at the young Prince walking over to where they were. "Oh! Is that the captain of the guard? You're in soo much trouble now." She smirked childishly.

The Prince walked over to the Knight and the Wizard standing there. His eyes locked down on the wizard, whom he knew was suppposed to be a new trainee. He remembered his father telling him about her, at least,
" Seems we have a new recruit. " he said as he smiled softly. The Prince looked over at Arrand and gave hima thumbs up. " You shouldn't have any trouble training her, Master Arrand. "

Arrand's face flushed red and he rubbed the back of his hair softly." T-t-t-thanks, your Majesty. " he replied as he bowed. " Your not going to punish me for being late... are you? " he asked as his knees began to shake in his steel boots.

" I'm not " The Prince replied as he locked his eyes back on the Wizard. he gently placed a hand on her hat and looked over to Arrand. He smiled and patted the Wuzard's hat.
" I've decided this will bee a team effort, so your punishment will be decided by her, " He replied as he looked at her again.
" What is your name, Milady? "

The girl grinned up at the Prince. "My names Lacey your uhh.. Magnificence."

Giggling slightly she turned her attention back to Arrand. "You were late! I had to wait, you can't inconvenience people with you're laziness! What if there was a war? Or an alarm??" She turned dramatically and pointed to a large tree off in the distance.

"Ten laps!" She demanded, staring as she waited for him to start moving.

" T-t-ten laps? are you serious?!? " Arrand exclaimed, looking at the prince in disbelief. he looked down at Lacey and frowned.
" Surely, you jest. " He replied as his face turned a light red

" I'm pretty sure she is not kidding here , Arrand " The prince replied as he smiled. He then wandered off back to the castle gates to attend his daily chores. He took slow steps in order to hear Lacey's commands to the poor knight.

Lacey frowned and started ranting.

"He said I get to pick your punishment! I want ten laps now Mister Arrand! You were late, late isn't tolerable! Now shoo~!" She started to push him.

Nautica had already seen her room and told the servants where to put her stuff. Sighing slightly already bored she went to explore the rest of the castle. She wanted to see the gardens, they were some where far west, she could smell them from her open window.

" Okay, fine, FINE! " Arrand replied as he began to run through the training field.
" This is going to be such a long training, I just know it. " Arrand thought to himself as he started to run faster.

The Prince quietly walked into the castle. He noticed that the room he was standing in was just recently renovated. There were flowers growing out of the corners of the room, in little square patched. He sniffed the air silently and looked up at the ceiling, his eyes wide and saddened.
" Lavender... this room was remodeled... in remembrance of my mother... " he said to himself as he looked back down at the flowers.

Lacey was enjoying herself. Yelling at Arrand whenever he started to slow down.

"Hey! No slacking! You got enough sleep to do this!" She'd scream, waving her arms around, her long hair dancing around her form.

Nautica blank as she stood by the doorway, seeing the young Prince she tilted her head. "Don't you have.. classes or something you should be doing?.. You're much to young to have learned everything by now."

Her eyes narrowed slightly, then she walked into the room, moving over to inspect the flowers, they were so vivid in contrast to her pale skin.

Arrand ran and ran until he fell over and landed on a rock. He twinged at the pain and got back up, running and limping. He started to breathe heavily as his armor held his weight down near the ground.
" I'll finish... in.. no time... " he replied huffing as he kept running, his eye twitching at the strain put on his leg.

The Prince quickly rubbed his eyes and looked away, embarrassed that Nautica may see his red face.
" Yeah, I should. Thought it was in here, but I see they remodeled it... " he replied quietly as he took a flower from the group and cut it from the stem. He then rested it softly on a urn in the middle of the room. THe Prince got on one knee and boowed his head softly

" May the gods not have judged her by her beauty, but her willingness to rule " he said as he rose up and walked out of the room quietly.

Lacey had already grown bored of watching him run and was waving her staff around, watching as the tree she had him start from started to grow pink leaves and bloom blue flowers.

"That's much prettier." She gave herself a pat on the back and looked around, trying to see what else she could manipulate in the area.

Nautica blank at the Prince's actions. After he left she walked towards the urn and ran her fingers along it, wondering the story behind it.

Arrand finally ran all he needed to run and felll over in the grass. His face was a burning red as he took off his armour hastily.
" Man oh man, I am never sleeping in again... " He said aloud as he squirmed in the grass.

The Prince Quietly walked into the dining room. He met with a butler, who told him his dad was sick.
" Very well, I will proceed with my papers then " The Prince replied, relieved that he didn't have to sit through another lesson. He walked out of the dining room and past the room with flowers again, hoping that Nautica wouldn't hear him passing by.

Lacey wandered over and stared down at him with a large grin. "So you learned your lesson?" She giggled.

Pointing her staff at his ankle she muttered a few words, causing a small blue light at the tip of her staff to move into him.

"Feel better now?"

Nautica not only heard him pass, but the entire exchange between him and the butler. Turning on her heel she started to follow after him.

"I can't help but feel you're trying to avoid me." She said forwardly.

Arrand sat up and looked at his arms and legs . He jumped up and shook his head, smiling and running in place.
" I do ! I feel energized. " He replied and smiled, looking at Lacey.
" Where did you learn magic like that? " He asked, quite interested inw hat she might have to explain with.

" I'm not avoiding you, I just don't want to deal with someone else telling me I'm no good or pathetic. " He replied softly as he kept walking. He walked faster and then stopped.

" This change wouldn't be so hard... if only she were around... " He said as he walked down a different hallway, hoping Nautica wouldn't follow him.

Lacey tilted her head. "Learn? I was born with magic." She smiled. "My mother is a witch, she's the one that made my staff. Isn't it lovely? She says I could cast spells without it, but I can't imagine having to do that." She started to ramble telling stories from her youth of how she'd turned her cat into a watermelon that a young girl tried to cut open.

"But my mother stopped her before she could hurt it and turned it back." She grinned.

Nautica tilted her head slightly. "Stop feeling so sorry for yourself." She replied and stopped where she was. "What an ego that boy has... All he can do is wallow in his own self pity. Has never even had to work for a living." She muttered to herself, sure he could hear it.

Arrand smiled and sat down. He looked over at Lacey, now happy that he had a pupil as outgoing as her.
" I wish I had a very interesting story for you about me, but to tell the truth, I'm not that all of an interesting guy " He said, embarrassed as he rubbed the back of his head.
" I wanted to become a knight after meeting the prince when he freed our city. "

The prince stopped and clenched his fist. He didn't want to be reminded of his own feelings. He turned around and looked at Nautica from down the hallway.
" Never had to work, would you know anything about that? " he asked as he pointed out the window
" you see that? " he said as he pointed to the neighboring city.
" I rebuilt that city... " he replied quietly, as he turned away.
" Besides, who are you to judge what self pity is... "
