The lands were once green and flowing with clear and beautiful streams. Lakes like a glass surface, casting rainbows across it's surface. Mountains in the distance were like those in a painting. Some dark green, some covered in snow that turned to a blueish purple as the sun sank from the skies. The clear nights held the bright moon, creating a world of silver upon the land. To qoute the cliche: life was good.
Then a dark race known as the Leva appeared, coming straight from the dark side of the moon. They used magic to enter the world and began spreading darkness. They killed and turned green lands to brown dirt deserts. They turned the lakes red with blood. The moon no longer cast it's beautiful glow at night. The mountains turned black. It had become a time of fear, death, and of hero's.
Many tried to defeat the Leva and failed or gave up hope. Then came a group. Two human warriors, one male the other female. An elf woodsman. A human thief. A dwarf miner. A changling. And Yuina. Yuina was a powerful young wizardess. She was only 14 when she began the journey. She was said to be of a dying race that had lived on the light side of the moon, but that was only myth. The group traveled together and fought.
Then came the battle. The group had fought their way to the mountain shrine known as Heaven's Gateway. They fought the oncoming Leva. The changling and dwarf were killed in the battle. Yuina raised her hands to the sky and cast a spell that has only been given one name. The Final. It is said to be the last spell ever created and can only be used once. Yuina cast it and a great pillar of light surrounded the mountain and shot straight to the moon. It broke the moon into pieces. Some of the pieces fell to earth, but they never hit the ground. They became floating islands. The people who had lived on the bright side of the moon called Angela's were awakened then and have long since started living their and on the earth. Yuina died there, her body becoming a statue, hands still raised forth to the sky. A new shrine was built there, in order to help prevent another Leva attack, should they still live. And the names of the group were never forgotten.

*300 years later*
*Gaion stood in a field, his gray hair being blown in and out of his eyes by the wind. He hand long since grown old, but had lived long thanks to Yuina's powerful magic. Now, like the others, he longed for death. To sleep. There came a crunch of gravel from behind him. He glanced over his shoulder then laughed softly in his gravely voice* "Minata. You are still as beautiful as always."
*Minata stood a ways behind him. Her long silver hair tied in a braid, her red armor rusty with age. She drew her sword* "I have heard your call, Gaion. I know what you need. I have come to give you it." *Gaion turned to her, smiling tiredly* "Minata...I can wait a while longer. I know the others wish to rest first." *Minata shook her head* "They are already resting. Each came to me. You did not. So I came to you." *Gaion stared at her in surprise* "The others...you...you killed them?" *Minata nodded* "It was their final wish. Come Gaion. Have your last battle so you may rest." *Gaion drew his sword* "I will help you rest as well." *The two launched themselves at each other. Though each was old, their speed was still just as great. Their strength as well. The two fought until...their blades slid into each other at the same time. They both stepped back slightly, then fell to their knees* "Minata....I am sorry...that you were given...this task." *Gaion gasped out. Minata smiled as blood slid from her mouth. She lightly touched his cheek* "I did not mind...I never....stopped loving....you..." *She fell over slowly and was gone. Gaion smiled slightly as tears fell from his eyes* "Nor I you....may our legacy....contin...ue..." *And then he too was gone*

And now, with last warriors gone, the Leva have started to stir...

Bio: Mira lived with her rather large family that was pretty well off. But her family decided to hold a ceontest to see who would be allowed to marry her...without her consent. Mira ran away from her home to to study magic. Currently she only has a beginners magic book, and even then she isn't very good at it.

Mira walked down the road, a cloak around her shoulders and a pack on her back. In her hands she held a large book...a book you wouldn't normally be carrying down the road...at least not one that large. She sighed softly as she lowered the book. "Argh! Why does it have to be so complicated?!" She pouted, "The Sorcerer that came to town made it look so easy!"

Engel ran threw the town scared as can be. She had wondered into the town by mistake and could not find her way out. She was wearing a riped up shirt and a riped up pair of pants. People where chasing after her because she had accidently destroyed a shop. She was not looking where she was going and ran into a girl with a large book in hand.

"YIPE!" Mira fell over and the book flew from her hands. She hadn't even realized that she had wandered into a town. She pulled herself into a sitting position, letting loose a strain of curses. She looked at Engel. "That hurt..." Then her eyes widened. "What happened to your clothes?!" Faster than it should have been possible she was at Engel's side and holding her hand. "Did I bump into too hard and destroyed it all?! I'm sorry! Forgive me! I'll buy you some new clothes!" She nodded eagerly.

Engel looked at her and shook her head no. Then heard some people scream from behind her and she looked behind her. There was a group of people who where after her. She ran behind Mira and was shakeing our of fear.

The group of people stoped when they got to them and looked at Mira. "are you her guardian or something? Because if you are you need to pay for what she broke or at lest tame her. She is like a wild animal."

"Eh??" Mira stared at them confused, then looked back at Engel. She sighed and turned back to the crowd. "I'm sorry." She pulled Engel forward and patted her on the head, a little roughly. "You know how children are." She gave her best 'I'm-so-innocent-please-forgive-me' smile. "How much trouble did my little sister get into?"

Engel looked at her a little surprised and hugged her. She was happy that she had found someone who would help her.

"That's what you get for using me as a shield." She smiled down at her, "But no harm, no foul." Mira tilted her head in thought, "Hey, how exactly did you destroy part of a shop? You don't look like you could do much damage."

Engel looked at her and smiled. "well it is kind of easy when you have claws, have no idea where you are and scared out of your mind." he said in a innocent voice. She looked no more then 10 years old. "sorry for useing you as a sheild, It is just that you were there."

"Claws?" Mira looked very confused. She sighed and shook her head, deciding not to think about it. She turned around and picked up her fallen book, brushing off the dirt. "When you're lost and don't know what to do, always remember not to panic." She turned back and smiled, "Or you'll end up in a worse spot. Oh! Speaking of lost..." She looked around at the buildings, "Where am I? Haha!"

Mira carefully pulled her hand free and placed it on Engel's shoulder. "Then we shall find out together! But first! Lunch!" She smiled brightly and started down the street again, placing her book on her hip. "Hey kid! You don't happen to have a super nose do you?" She called over her shoulder.

Engel nodded sticking close to Mira. "by the way the name is not kid it is Engel."Engel said happly and sniffed the air. "what should I smell for, nuts, berrys, or roots?" Engel asked

Mira looked at Engel in surprise and gently patted her shoulder while looking very sad, "Oh you poor depraived child." Mira chuckled and paused when they reached the town square she studied the buildings carefully until she found one that she liked and took Engel there. "Alright. You grab us a seat and I'll get the food." She gave Engel a gentle push towards the tables and began ordering her food, also finding out they were in a town called Creston....which made Mira sad since it was only two towns away from her home town and she had been wandering around for nearly a week. Mira went to the table Engel was seated at with an excessive amount of food. Mutton stew, potatoes, bread, eggs, soup and a berry nut pie. The poor server was exhausted by the time he finished setting their food down and returning later with two mugs of milk. Mira shrugged at Engel, "I'm hungry. And I didn't get any alcohol, sorry if you wanted that. I just happen to be a....mean drunk." She smiled and began eating like she hadn't eaten in days.

Engel looked at the food and had no idea what this stuff was. It smelled good and he took the bread and bit it. It tasted wonderfull. She looked at Mira and smiled "wow how did you get all of this." she said as she took the soup and began to eat it.

"Money!" She grinned after swallowing some milk. "Sometime's it really is good to have." She downed most of her food quickly and sat back, patting her full stomach. "Though sometime's it's more trouble than it's worth. Like when thieves try to take it." She sighed and slumped forward. "By the way, I'm Miranell. Mira for short."

Engel smiled at Mira as she ate more. "well it is nice to met you mira and what is money and thieves?" she asked as she ate her berry nut pie.

Mira's jaw dropped. "What? Where are you from? How can you not know what those are?! Even little kids know what those are!"

Engel thougth for a second then looked at Mira "I am from a place where there are trees and animals and not a lot of people. I think they call it the wild or forest or something." she said as she ate more

Mira stared at her for a moment, then pinched the bridge of her nose in thought. "What...are you?" She muttered softly.

Engel thought, then remembered one world that was the only think she could remember from when she was a baby the world Changling. "I think I am called a Changling or something around that." she said as he sat back, she was stuffed

Mira's head hit the table, "Of course you are." Mira sat back and stared up at the ceiling. "Ok, where to being. In a town, that's where we are, in order to get something like food or clothing you need money." She reached into a little bag on her hip and drew out a coin and held it up for Engel to see. "This is a coin. There are different types of coins and each coin is worth more or less. You have to get to a certain amount before you can buy things like food. To get these you should get a job, and there are too many types of jobs to list." She smiled brightly at Engel, "Like me. I'm studying to be a scorcress. Someone who can do magic! Kinda like changlings. As for thieves. They're bad. Stay away from them. They'll steal your money, and then you can't buy food! And sometimes they'll hurt you." Mira pushed herself to her feet. "And now, I must go shopping and head on out of town. Take care, Engel." She smiled brightly and started away from the table.
