"As a little girl, I was extremely greedy. I wanted everything. I had always wanted to be beautiful, I constantly said I needed to be. I wanted to marry young and not only to have the attention the man I had loved more than anything but the attention of every other man who saw me as well. I wanted to be famous and hear my names on the lips of people wherever I went. Though I never had any idea that I would truly be able to have all of that and be miserable. But you see dear, I've realized that once you lose everything else, every selfish wish you have ever had becomes a burden and all those things become absolutely worthless." -Cecilia Valisari In order for me to tell you the plot of the story, it is necessary to read the following background information. I promise I will try to keep it as short as possible. The story begins with Cecilia Yorke and Dimitri Woods. Childhood playmates, the two grew up together with no issues until the day of Alina's fifteenth birthday. Though the two were best friends, Dimitri had been keeping his share of secrets for year. To start, he was born a half-vampire and would become a full one upon his eighteenth birthday. Next came the fact he was the son of a vampire king known simply as Eyes, and a human woman named Rachel. Lastly, the fact that as soon as he would turn eighteen he would also be forced to take on a mate. Now vampires are not exactly the stereotypical creatures we generally hear of. Sunlight has no effect upon them, and garlic merely smells disgusting. The creatures have no reflection, and of course has unnatural speed and strength. Also both half and full vampires are capable of turning humans. This process takes only a few minutes, and though at first the bite may be pleasurable it quickly turns painful. When he told Cecilia he truth, she of course did not believe him, and the two preceded to argue over how she thought he was being ridiculous, and lying for no reason, and he the fact she was being so narrow-minded. When Cecilia grew tired of the argument and simply replied with "Bite me," a mischievous grin spread across his face. He said nothing and merely moved behind her, which of course came as a surprise, she had no time to react before being bitten. Without realizing, what he had done, Dimitri had managed to turn her, which he realized after she collapsed to the ground from the resulting pain. After regaining her composure, a terrified Cecilia didn't hesitate to yell at Dimitri to leave her house and not to come back again. He left her house without a word, and that was indeed the last time she saw him. This is where the summary ends. The story begins four years later and a war has broken out between the were-creatures and vampires. Just as well, a small faction of vampires has risen up to take down the new vampire king, Dimitri. The leader of this faction is none other than Cecilia, who is now married to a human by the name of Nicolae Valisari. The faction is working to take down the king as they seem to believe that he has become too power hungry and because of the fact that he believes that vampires should not have to hide their identity from human beings. Which of course, would cause panic and hysteria among many. Dimitri and his wife Cassandra have worked non-stop to put an end to this faction but have found that the faction has evaded every measure used against them. Now they are having the royal guard target all possible members, and want them brought in dead or alive. Let us not forget that war is always on one's mind, with the threat of constant threat of attack due to complications with boundaries. Rules Follow TOS. Profiles Username: Soquira Character Name: Cecilia Valisari Age: Nineteen Race: Vampire Information: The daughter of two humans, Cecilia should have grown up to have a normal life, not a cursed one. As a little girl, she had wanted everything and being turned into a vampire had given her all of the things she had wanted, minus the fame until she led the faction. But still, she detested it as it took away her chance at a normal life and it caused her the loss of her family when she was seventeen, which she prefers not to speak of. So now she holds a personal grudge against the newly crowned vampire king. Though at first she may seem bitter, she can be a very bright person though she is always teasing and playful, no matter what kind of mood she is in. She is a natural flirt and always winds up flirting without realizing it and kicks herself for it later. She also is a terrible liar and extremely sarcastic at times. One day she made the fateful discission to join him forever and asked to be made vampire. At first he refused because of the workings of the past but in the end she persuaded him and has since remained his loyal wife. She is a gentle person by most standards but can be very ruthless when angered or if you threaten someone she loves. She is fairly handy with most weapons. Username: Remaro Character Name: Kaytelynn Rose (Lynn by close companions) Age: 20 Race: Vampire, turned at the age of sixteen. Information: Kaytelynn was human with a happy family, good life, good grades and a loving boyfriend. That all changed when they went to a friend's black tie party. They had been outside when someone in a hoodie and jeans came out waving a knife. He threatened Kaytelynn's boyfriend, saying he would kill the man if he didn't give him the girl and all his money. Being quite the tempermental, independant lady, Kaytelynn objected. She threw herself in the way of the knife and was stabbed in a vital place. Her boyfriend ran in a panic as did the other man, leaving her to bleed to death. Kaytelynn was saved though by a vampire named Moz who turned her in time to save her. She grew up with Moz, changing as she did. Kaytleynn became a slightly colder person, less happy go lucky. Kaytelynn had viewed first hand the true cruelty of the world and it had marked her for ever. When Damien joined them, she at first objected but after a while they grew fairly close. The pair of them would have been mates if Damien hadn't chosen to go against the Vampire King. They split ways, Moz travelling away from the main places of war, Kaytelynn to be closer at hand for the King and Damien to join the Faction. Kaytelynn is still quite a cold person, but when in a good mood she's been known to help most anyone out of a tight situation. She's slightly introverted, but at times doesn't mind greeting new people. Special Abilities: Kaytelynn can read the minds of people around her. She's also skilled at hand to hand combat and fighting with knives. Kaytelynn also has minor control over the wind element, though not much. Other: Kaytelynn hates the Faction and anyone in it including Damien. She thinks of Moz as an older brother, despite him looking several years younger than her (fourteen/fifteen). Username: Remaro Character Name: Damien Renaldo Age: 21 Race: Half Vampire, his mother was a vampire his father was human. Information: Damien watched his mother die by the hands of another vampire when he was about six. Because of that he was never keen to be around others of his kind. However when he turned seventeen he left home and began to travel the world, one of his life long dreams. He was eighteen when he first met Kaytelynn and Moz. Moz welcomed him as eagerly as any vampire who'd heard more jokes about his tiny child like appearance than the amazon had seen water. But Kaytelynn had been another matter. She didn't welcome him in with them and for the first few weeks completely ignored him. It was only after hunting together did they begin to bond. The three became very close friends and when he was nearing Twenty One Damien began to prepare to ask Kaytelynn to be his mate. He'd gotten permission by Moz and everything when he heard about the Faction. Their different views about the war tore them apart and the three split going their separate ways. Damien still cares about Kaytelynn though and prays that after everything is over, if they're all still alive, she'll forgive him. Damien was quite the flirt when he was younger and still occasionally is. He enjoys a warm atmosphere and it's rare to catch him not smiling. He can be a vicious fighter though and when in a bad mood will take it out on anyone. Special Abilities: He can become invisible and create shields. He's good at sword play and his words can be sharper than the swords he plays with when he needs them to be. He regrets being part of the cause for the split, but he's still set in his views and ways. You could say, Damien isn't one to back down from a fight just like Kaytelynn. Username: Hidden Cupcake Character Name: Jeromy Blazard Age: 37 Race: Pure blooded werewolf Information: He was born into normal pack living a small rural town to the alphas Alex and Tanya, the only couple permitted breed. He served as an omega in the pack up until he was around 23, when he met Amy, a lone female. After helping her escape the territory and the angry pack members, the two ran off to orm their own pack in the unclaimed territory not far from where his former pack was. To help form their pack, they accepted loners, the turned, and halflings up until they had their first puppy, Maria. Unfortuantely, something went wrong for Amy during labor and she died soon after their daughter was born. Jeromy tried his best to raise Maria without his mate, not allowing his sadness over her loss to show through to his daughter. When the war broke out, his territory and pack were devestated by a vampire raiding party. Jeromy lost his left eye and daughter in the struggle, not to mention a good chunk of his pack, the survivors scattered everywhere. He tries to take everything he encounters in stride, giving him a fun and very enthusiastic, although mischevious and cruel outward appearance. He's a heavy drinker and will stop by every bar in which he hasn't been kicked out of. He doesn't hold his alchohol very well and often goes home drunk off his ass. Unfortunately, his home now happened to be anywhere he can plop himself. He avoids werewolves and vampires like the plague and despises vampires with a vengeance, no matter their side in the war or their personality. vampires took everything from him. he has teh right to hate them. Special Abilities: Can morph into his lycanthropis fom. He also posesses extreme strength and speed while in this form and only a fraction his of strength while in his more human appearance. Appearance: (There will be pictures, ut for now, please bear with me.) Human: Tall and lean, he's an obvious runner. His hair is blonde and about shoulder length and it's always pulled back in a pony tail. His chin is covered in a light layer of blonde fuzz just beneath his mouth and an old eyepatch covers his missing eye. He wears an old pair of jeans and a surpsingly well kept brown leather jacket. Beneath that is a dirt white T-shirt. He looks and smells like he asn't bathed in month and he doesn't like shoes very much. To him, they break way too easily. Lycanthropic: Lean and deathly thin, he looks half starved. His fur is a light goldish grey color. He never wears his eyepatch like this, considering it falls off anyway. His left eye looks like a dip with pink, jagged tissue surrounding it. His body is covered in old battle scars, most attained from the raid on his pack. Other: he has terrible depthe perception and is constantly tripping over his own feet. He's also a terrifying alchoholic and constantly wakes up with hngovers from hell. |
