Llyud comes from a rather unknown and dying race. He's one of the few that ever decided to leave the small distant village of his race to explore the world. And after getting to Egypt, he ended up landing inside a building where people come to worship the god Horus. And that was pretty much where he was found. And the fact that he has wings, people assumed that he was a descendant of Horus, so he is believed to be a god.

The young Aegyl was currently deep asleep. It had been about two months since he had come to this place. And ever since, he had been treated as a god. Usually, one would be really happy about that and really take advantage of the situation, but, he couldn't feel emotions. One of many reasons why his race was almost extinct. But he was still taking advantage of the situation in one way. But he wasn't doing anything bad with it. In fact, since everyone listened to what he had to say, and did what he said, he was doing what he found right. He might be cold and aloof, but he was still fair, so there was no doubt about that he was pretty much respected by everyone. Though, who on earth knew what would happen to him if the people did find out he was not a god, or sent by the gods? Most likely he would be executed. But he would most likely be able to escape before that. The best advantage of being able to fly.

But so far, the only one that probably had a clue that he was not a god was the high priestess that was, currently the one with best contact with him. But she most likely wasn't one to tell on him as long as he wasn't abusing the power he had been given. And without emotions, he really couldn't abuse that power. He didn't know greed, lust, pride, wrath or anything like that. So, how much more fair of a 'god' could one be? He spoke his mind without hesitation, and if he found something to be wrong, he would say that. And since he often got to handle people that had done crimes of some sort, he listened to what they had to say, and could easily give a fair judgment. (And who dares to lie to a god?) The poorer people were quite often accused for things they had not committed. If he had been able to feel anger, he would most likely be really upset about the unfair judgments.

But anyhow. Right now, he was deep asleep, in a quite large comfortable bed. Even if he constantly had allot to do as a 'god', and often ended up getting really exhausted after every day. As long as he got the rest he needed, he would stay. For him, it seemed like the right thing to do, as the people here really seemed to be dependent on their gods. And since gods couldn't speak, people had no idea that they might be doing something that's just wrong. Then what he was doing here was quite important.

The high priestess entered the small garden with a pound. Out of the rooms she liked best, this was her favorite. It was the only palce where she could think withoug being bothered by the others. She slipped off her sandals and went to the pounds edge. She sat down on the marbled platform made just for this purpose. She then slipped her feet into the cool water. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking in the calm atmosphere. It had been two months when the winged man had arrived.

Khepri hadn't been at all suprised by the fact that they thought of him as a god. She had decided that he was fair and the position fit him. There had been many improvements, especially on those dealing with crimes. She had been displeased before when the convicted were usually killed, either because there was no proof to prove their innocence or because they were wrongly punished. The last two montes had seemed to have rushed by, almost enough to where it slipped completely by her. She had noticed the small changes in people who had otherwise always been untrustworthy and smug about things.

She reopened her eyes as soon as she had sorted her tangled thoughts. Standing up she moved to the small, coushined bench where she sat once more. Her eyes watched the water lillies and the few fish swim. Her thoughts wandered back to her past, a time where she had been utterly lost. Having an older brother had made her father uninterested in her, besides the fact he was always busy. She wondered what would have happened and where she would be today if the priestess had never taken her. Her father had been more than happy at the discovering of her disapearence. The young women sat there, many memories surfacing, and she hoped that no one would disturb her for the rest of the day. She knew this could not happen, for she was probably needed soon. She went over to slip her sandals back on. She re-laced them to where they came up just below her knees and sat on the bench, awaiting the time when she was needed again.

((Sorry I wasn't on yesterday.I went to my 1st convention yesterday^^))
Rasui worked in the palace,as the Priestess's assistant.Right now the boy was looking for her. After a few minutes passed he found her in the garden. At first Rasui was a little hesitant about disturbing her, since people don't like their thought's disterubed, but then he decided that maybe she won't be mad."Excuse me."The boy said."Priestess..."He then added as he approched her.Rasui is a soft spoken servent and he's the most behaved out of all of them.Infact he's not very fond of his job,but he knows that it's better than living among his parents and the other poor people who might have become slaves working on the Pryamind.

~Gwendolyn~ 02-07-2009 02:51 PM

(( Meh, I have never been to a convention. Anyways, that ok that you weren't on))

Khepri heard a voice and turned tot he direction of the source. She seen her assisstant and stood up to face him. She had always appreciated having a nondisbehaveing servant as her assisstant. But she felt that he didn't really like the job really, and was a bit suprised he still accepted it so easily. Usually the servants would act out if they truelly did not like it. "Yes, what do you want Rasui that you had to come and get me from the garden?" She asked, hiding the slight annoyance from her voice. She didn't mind that he came really, it was just she did not feel like working at just that moment, though it could not be helped.

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-07-2009 03:28 PM

((It's fun you should go^^,thanks))
"Some of the servants say that Nanu's acting strange."Rasui stated pointing to the palace."I have no idea what it is,but Nanu doesn't seem like herself, and it has everyone worried."He then added frowning.Nanu was an older servant and she has always been a bit of an odd ball. She's one of the dancers in the palace for the Pharaoh."I'm sorry for bothering you."The servent boy stated bowing lightly."But it might calm you and everyone else down if you have just a look at Nanu."He added raising.

Then another servant came running out and she seemed a little disteress."Priestess!Priestess! It's Nanu! She's saying some strange things and it frightening everyone! She even attacked one of the dogs!"The servant girl stated almost in tears.

Limbo 02-07-2009 03:29 PM

Even if he did strongly prefer to stay in the bed, it probably was about time got up. He wanted to find the priestess before some one came to ask him questions. He wasn't all that good with these peoples beliefs. He knew nothing about their gods or their culture, so, almost every awake moment he had to be around the priestess and her assistant, or he risked being found out. He would without a doubt be as good as dead if he found out. And the priestess was the only one he really did trust. And her assistant was always around, but he didn't seem like the type to go tell on some one. And Llyud wasn't abusing his power like some might, so there really wasn't a reason for them to tell on him.

But anyhow. Time to get up and find the priestess before he ran into some one. And he had a guess where she might be. He simply headed to the garden to go find the priestess. And, yupp, there she was. And the assistant too. So he simply stayed quiet for now, since they might be discussing something important. And it seemed serious as another servant came running, saying something about some one attacking a dog?

~Gwendolyn~ 02-07-2009 04:54 PM

((I would like to go to a convention sometime ^^))

Khepri sighed slightly. Nanu? She wandered what could be wrong with her. She had never really found any sort of disstress when she talked to the older woman. She sort of, but not entirelu understood the things spoken by her. "Nanu...." She said quietly to herself. She instantly looked up at the yelling of the young servant girl. She looked from her to Llyud and nodded, aknowledgeing him. "Excuse me." she said as she walked over to the almost crying servant girl. She raised an eyebrow, "Attacked one of the dogs? It better not have been one of the pharoh's dog or any of his families. Well, I hope not, because then that one won't be good. Now then, where is she? And what exactly is she saying?" She asked, her voice not reflecting anything she felt. She had a blank expression, despite the thoughts that went around in her head.

She had a few dogs of her owh that she had raised. To her, they were like family. But she feared if nothing really was that wrong with the old dancer except for something minor, if it was one of the royal's dogs she might be punished. Animals were respected and they were treated like humans by most. they got the same rights and everything, Khepri found this odd but accepted it.

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-07-2009 05:05 PM

Rasui placed his arms around the servants shoulders, and then the girl continued."I-I don't konw.S-some about like God and a sacrafice, then she killed one of the Pharaoh's dogs for a sacrafice. The others managed to get her tied down and are holding her on the floor..."The poor girl was shaking.Rasui then looked at the Priestess."Do you know what this means?"He asked very very conserned.

Then one of the Pharaoh's remaining dogs ran outside and started barking. The dog was tall, thin and grey and his fur seemed to be spotted with blood from his now dead friend.Rasui turned around and squatted down on the ground the dog came over to him and started barking and whipering. The boy then looked up at Khepri with the same worried look on his face.

~Gwendolyn~ 02-07-2009 05:13 PM

Khepri frowned and felt sorry for the dog, the pharohs dogs were either siblings or mates. She guessed that this was one of the newer dogs and his mate had been killed. That only made things worse, the pharohs dogs were valuable and he hated losing them. She turned her attention back to the girl after looking at the dog for a moment. She knew very well that this old woman probably knew something she shouldn't about who Llyud really was. If that was so she would have to do something about it. Either that or she had gone crazy over something and thought that he needed sacrafices or something close to that.

"I shall go and take a look. The pharoh is not going to be happy.... I am not sure though what this means exactly. If it means what I think.... then I do not think it will turn out to good for a certain someone." She said as she left the garden room and headed to where they had the old dancer. She looked at the dead body of the male dog's mate. She bent down and looked at it, the dog was pretty much mutilated beyond recognotion of telling what it was. She only knew from being told. She then went over to the old woman and examined her.

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-07-2009 05:23 PM

The servants were holding Nanu down, who was screaming."Let go!Let me go!"She had a crazed look in her eye,and everything was in disarray.Supplies that was sitting on the shelves were thrown around, and pots with exotic plants broke and dirt strun the floor."Priestess!"One child servant cried.Running over to her the child cried with joy."Priestess! We tried protecting the dog,but Nanu got to her before we did..."He said sighing sadly."The world will end in fire!"Nanu cried trying to shake her captures off.Trashing her legs she added."It will be because of the God that has come!I warned you!I warned you!"Everyone looked at the Priestess for some kind of answer.
((Sorry about my spelling ><))

~Gwendolyn~ 02-07-2009 05:31 PM

((Tis okay))

Khepri was confused at what she said, The world will end in fire?.... because of Llyud? Thoughts like this went through her mind as she tryed to find something wrong with the old woman which might have caused this outburst. She found no signs that were usually present on a person gone crazy. She didn't have any concussion of any sort either. She then became aware of those around her staring. Of course they were going to look ot her for an answer or an explanation of any kind not matter how strange it may be. "Well, there is apparently no physical damage of any sort. Myabe she has just become to old and should be... well, that is for the God to decide, that is not my place. But do not worry, I do not sense any danger coming, there will be no world that shall end in fire becuase of the God. She is speaking nonsense I suppose." She told them this, though deep withing her concious she wondered what the old woman knew. She would talk to Llyud later about what she had said and to see if he knew anything.

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-07-2009 05:40 PM

They nodded their heads and let Nanu go.Nanu gathered herself as best as she could, and then walked away from the group."Thank you."The servants stated bowing to her.

Outside....
Rasui managed to get the servant girl to calm down, and relax a bit.The poor dog though still had his head in the boy's lap whining every so often."I know you will miss her,but the Pharaoh will know what to do."Rasui stated softly to the dog.

Limbo 02-07-2009 06:01 PM

There really was allot going on. Maybe he should have stayed in bed this time? But he followed the priestess as there clearly was something serious going on. And it really didn't get better. A dead dog and an insane woman. If they asked him, he saw that as murder. Animals were living, feeling beings. But it was obvious enough that the woman most likely lost her sanity.
Even his people had a god, but as far as he had experienced, there was no god. So he really doubted that the world would end with fire. Unless there was people actually planning to set everything on fire. He would have to take a look on that later. He could after all watch over suspicious activities from above. Something no one else really could. But for now, he just turned around and headed back to the garden. It was too early for him to handle insane women and dead dogs now.

~Gwendolyn~ 02-08-2009 04:31 AM

Khepri nodded to them and excused herself. She hadn't been expecting to deal with something like that so early in the day. She made her way back tot he garden, her mind was buzzing with thoughts. She wanted to know why the woman had gone crazy, and if anything else, why she killed the dog. At the moment none of it made sense to her really. She decided to put the thought aside for now and just continue resting in the garden. She hoped nomore crazy things like the previous one would happen.

((gah, writers block >.< Sorry.))

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-08-2009 04:58 AM

Rasui stood up and turned to see not only Khepri return, but Llyud coming back as well.Bowing to both of them, the servant boy asked."Is everyone calm now?And what happened to Nanu?"The servant girl called the dog over, and started petting him."And have you told the Pharaoh about the loss of his female dog?"The girl asked looking at the three of them, while still petting the thin tall animal.
((It's cool^^))

~Gwendolyn~ 02-08-2009 05:25 AM

Khepri glanced over at the dog and the servant girl, then returned her gave to Rasui and shook her head, "No, the pharoh does not know, though word travels fast so he shall know soon from the messanger. As for Nanu, I do not know. It is not my spot to make a decision on that. Yes, everyone is calm. After I tell an explanation everyone is usually calm. There is no need to worry. Nanu I suppose had lost it, she was saying things about how the world will go up in flames because of a god. I doubt that it means anyhting though."

Light[xero]kn!ght 02-08-2009 05:31 AM

Rasui gained a reassured look on his face.Bowing lightly to both the Pristess and the Aegyl, the servant boy started walking back to the palace. As he walked,Rasui thought about what Khepri had said.'Fire....hm....'He thought to himself as he stepped into the cool palace. He then looked back at Khepri and Llyud for a moment thinking some more, before going off to find another job for him to do.

~Gwendolyn~ 02-20-2009 02:50 PM

Khepri watched as the servant left. She then looked over at Llyud trying to figure out what theold woman had meant. She usually took information like that into consideration, but usually the person was a bit more sane than Nanu had been. she wondered what else was possibly going to happen that day. Usually there would be a couple of events that were linked in one way which happened in a day. Since that happened she was usually able to sort things out, "So, what do you make of this exactly?"

Limbo 02-20-2009 03:09 PM

Llyud looked at the priestess for a moment after the event was over and people had left. He didn't like speaking when there was more people then just the priestess and the servant around. He was rather uncomfortable with that. And he might end up saying something bad, so he always waited till no one was around before he spoke to her or the servant.

"I would guess she figured out I'm not a god, and she wanted to give a worthy sacrifice in order to be forgiven by your gods. If we were where I lived, killing a loyal dog like that would be a murder, and she would be punished for it. But since she did seem, what you call, scared, and upset, I doubt a punishment would be the appropriate action to take. I really don't know what to make of it."

~Gwendolyn~ 02-20-2009 03:18 PM

Khepri nodded, "Yes, I suppose not. But the pharoh is going to want something done. There is going to be no way around punishing her if he says to do. I do not know what we could do to change his mind if he does say so. To him the dogs are family. If my memory serves me correctly also, that was one of his favorite dogs. I'd understand where he was coming from though to loose something that you love. I have been through that. But here killing a royal pet is exactly like murder." She knew that the pharoh would more than likely want to sentance Nanu to death being that she killed it. Seeming to have gone insane would not help either if she tried explaining herself.

Limbo 02-20-2009 03:28 PM

Llyud thought about it for a few moments, before he had an idea, looking at Khepri. He knew what could be done. It would probably seem a bit more cruel then to just execute the woman, but she would be alive at least.

"Why not simply let the pharaoh decide her punishment. If a god tells him that he is to give the woman a punishment to show the pain of his loss, but not to kill her. I think that she might still stand a chance and be able to live on. But then again. She might be more upset to be tortured, even if it's only for a short while, and then she will most likely come back to find a way to show who I am. But that is really the best I have. Or we could let the pharaoh simply execute her and give her a proper burial. If one dies for their crimes, they have already served their punishment. So there would be no reason to punish her further by not giving her a burial."

He probably sounded horrible cruel, but he doubted that he could convince the pharaoh not to punish her at all. And he did actually want her to be punished for murder. Llyud had been around the dogs some himself. They were really friendly and loyal dogs. So the dog had done nothing to deserve this.

~Gwendolyn~ 02-20-2009 03:40 PM

Khepri wasn't sure which would be better. No one really wanted to truelly die. Then again, who would want to be tortured before having to go into death. More than likely she would be tortured badly. even if they did eventually let her go she would die rather slowly and painfully, but still die. She figured it would probably be best to just execute her if the only other option was toture then a painful death. And if she was to die after toture out somewhere, no one would know or care. If she was executed people would know and she would have the proper buriel and funeral. "If he decides to execute her, let him. But if he wants to toture her you are going to have to convince him not to. It is not a way to die at all. This way with the execution she will have what she needs in a burial to pass on."
