Shadow smiled and stayed outside the cave. He walked around and looked around still wanting to explore everywhere but had to stay close to the cave to protect Hazel. Every once in a while he saw eyes watching but they soon vanished he just thought that it was the other wolves and continued to walk around

Hazel sniffed around the cave. she went deeper until she found a wide place, big for at least Five wolves! it had a small pond toward the back and a bunch of moss growing everywhere. "Wow." she said. "A small pack could live in here!" she hurried outside, wanting to tell Shadow.

Shadow was headed back when he saw more eyes and they seemed to surround him. Then a beautiful grey wolf came out and said "well ladys looks like we got ourselves a man." then all the other wolves came out and they were all girls. "yay your right Sam, now who gets him." shadow just stared at them and watched as they closed in on him

Hazel padded out and saw a bunch of lady wolves close in on Shadow. "Hey you!" she called to the grey wolves. "He's MINE." she hoped Amber hadn't told anyone that they weren't mates.

Sam the beautiful grey wolf looked at Hazel and then motioned for the girls to back off "oh sorry we didn't know." shadow ran over to Hazel and stood besides her "thenks" he said softly so that only Hazel could hear

"'welcome." she said. "Come on! I want to show you something!" she ducked back into the cave and went toward the big cave.

Shadow followed her happy to be inside

Sam watched them and kept on looking at shadow

hazel stepped into the large cave. "Isn't it awesome?" she asked him. "You could fit a small pack in here!"

Shadow looked around amazed at it all "yay it is awesome" was all that he could say as he looked around

Hazel went toward the stream where the softest moss was. "It is perfect, besides the fact that your wanted by she-wolves everywhere now." she shrugged. "But we can deal with that."

Shadow nodded "yay your right but I think htey might back off now since they think I am your mate."

"Not that we are, but let's keep it that way." she said, laying down. She closed her eyes and lay her head on her paws.

Shadow yawned a little and layed down next to her, in a few seconds he fell asleep

Hazel was half aleep, but she couldn't fall asleep because the thought of her cubs and all of the she-wolves kept entering her thoughts. just as she was falling asleep, she smelled something. She perked up her head, senses alert. hold on... haven't smelled it in awhile......... badger!

Shadow felt her move and woke up "what is it" he said wanting to make sure everything was okay since he was the alpha

"Shh." she said. she thought she smelled, it, but it was fading. She stood up, but-"There it is again!" she said. "There is a badger here! let's leave."

Shadow shook his head "No I will get rid of it." he siad and looked around

"Are you kidding? badgers are huge and dangerous. there is no point unless you want to get hurt." Hazel headed to the exit. "I'm leaving."

Shadow sighed and followed her "guess we wil have to find some place else."
