"Oh, yeah, I'm fine." she said, laying down. "What kind of wolf who is right in the head likes humans?"

"well he is kind of odd already." Amber said as she looked at her "maybe he has some kind of weird destiny or something." she said with a shrug "but he did tell me to say that he is leaving and that you deserved not to be with a weird wolf like him."

"Hmm. He's not weird." she said. "Just, a little weird in the head." She stood. "Do you have a place that I could sleep?" she asked.

Amber nodded "yay I do but aren't you going to go after him?" she asked as she looked at her. "he may not be right in the head but he does care for you. I mean if you look at him closely when he is around you he is very protective and stays alert."

"Hmm. well, I want to leave him alone for awhile. We've been traveling forever-" she paused. "Did you hear that?" she asked.

Amber's ears perked up and nodded "yay I did"

Hazel hadn't smelled this smell before. She cautiously went toward the bush. Out of no where, a rabid mountain lion jumped out!!! "Run!" she screeched.

Amber screamed very loudly and ran for the hills.

Shadow had heard the scream just as he was about to leave the valley and ran back down towards the screaming

Hazel followed Amber, but then she had to stop. "Amber!!!" she screamed. "get a cave!!!!!"

Amber looked at her "why" she siad as she began to look around for a cave

Shadow was crashing threw the forest like there was no tomorrow hopeing that everything was okay

"Gosh darn it I having cubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she howled, just trying to keep calm.

Amber saw a cave "okay, I see a cave" she said and stared to lead the way and they were soon there

Shadow had seen the moutanin lion and had jumped onto its back biting it everywhere.

"Oh gosh, oh gosh." Hazel was freaked. A Rabid Lion was on the loose and she was in labor. "Remind me never to have cubs again!!!!" she said, laying down.

Amber smiled at her "it is okay just calm down" she said "man do I wish we had someon else with us"

Shadow had clamped down ont eh lions neck and was almost doing with it.

"Ohh, how I wish Shadow was here, if Shadow is fighting that thing, he could get rabies." she closed her eyes and tried to endure this pain.

The lion was very mad. he flung Shadow off and headed in the she-wolves direction.

Shadow howled and jumped onto the lion again. So far the lion hadn't bitten him and he was covered in the lions blood.

Amber looked at Hazel "it's okay, maybe he will come back"

"I doubt it." she said. She was sooo worried, she didn't trust herself.

The lion roared and raked Shadows side. "Leave me be!!" he howled. He ran and smelled she-wolf in a cave.

"well we can hope" Amber said and looked at her

Shadow didn't even care about the cut "no I will not, your headed towards my friends." he said and lunged at the lion

The lion started heading toward the cave, ignoring the wolf. he could smell the two wolves perfectly now, one was in pain. "Food...." he murmured. he poked his head in the cave.

"Omygosh!!!!" Hazel yelped as she saw the lions head poke through the opening. she felt the little cubs in her wriggling, they wanted to come out.

Shadow saw the it poked its head into the cave and knew he had to get it away from there. He rammed into the lions side making it fall over. Then stood infront of the cave and growled "you are never going to get anywhere near them." he was covered in blood and his side was bleeding badly.

Amber smiled seeing shadow in the door way.

"Shadow!" Hazel exclaimed. She looked down. "Whoah."

Shadow looked at her "you okay?" he asked then went back to watching the lion

"Um..................... you could say that." she said. she looked down at the little wolf that was now in front of her. she came to her senses and started licking.

The lion had gotten up and snarled. "Leave!!" He roared.

Shadow stood his ground and snarled back "no you leave!! this is my pack, it is my job to protect them and your not going to hurt them."

Amber looked at the pup "congrats your a mother"

The little ball of fur was finally dry and cuddling next to her stomach. She felt another one, kicking it's way out.

"Grrrahhhhh!!" the lion screamed. He was going to knock over Shadow to get into that cave if he had to. He started rushing toward Shadow.
