Shadow looked at her "I sleep here when I pass by."

Hazel went inside the hole. It was just big enough for two wolves, with moss growing on the sides. "Wow, it's beautiful in here!" she called back out to him. She put some moss on the ground and lay down.

Shadow smiled "yay it is" then joined her in the hole

She lay down and closed her eyes. There wasn't enough room to stretch, only to curl up, and that left her tail touching him. She was still a little wet and her eyes hurt from the impact of the water. Not that it mattered that much anyway.

Shadow closed his eyes and soon was asleep

Hazel looked up at the ceiling of the den. The moss reflected the moon's light, casting shadows and reflections everywhere.

Shadow slept deeply

Hazel eventualy fell asleep.

Shadow woke up when the sun was in his eyes. He carefully got out of the hole and stood guard of the hole till hazel woke up

Hazel woke up. She quickly did her morning check, wiggled her ears, legs, nose and finally her eye. She stepped out to find Shadow sitting there. "Good morning!" she said cheerfully.

Shadow smiled at her "morning"

She sat there in silence, not knowing what to do. That is, until her stomach growled. She laughed. "Whoops." she said.

Shadow smiled "well then lets go get some food"

Hazel stood up and sniffed. she smelled a doe and her fawn nearby. She motioned Shadow to follow her and she headed toward the deer.

Shadow followed her happly

Hazel stopped at a bush. The doe and her fawn were visible now, they were alone in a small clearing. She whispered to Shadow, I'm not that good at hunting. You sneak up behind them."

Shadow nodded and snuck up behind them

Hazel dashed out into the clearing, seperating the fawn from it's mother.

Shadow came out and tackled the fawn. then bit into its neck

Hazel ran the doe toward the woods and went back to Shadow. "Is it dead?" she asked, stomach growling.

Shadow nodded "yes,"

"Oh, good." she said, dragging the deer carcass to the log. She instinctively lay down, waiting for the Alpha to eat.

Shadow looked at her and smiled "go ahead and eat"

"Hmm?" she looked confused. "But," then she stopped herself. She wasn't in a pack, nor was she in the lower ranks. they were equal, and equal they would remain. She thanked him and moved slowly toward the deer.

Shadwo sat down and waited for her to be done
