She quickly finished and scratched her ear. "You can eat now." she said, scratching. She went and lay by the log, sniffing out a certain herb that would get rid of fleas.

Shadow smiled and dug into the deer. He soon was finished and sat down next to the log

Hazel soon found the plant and put it by her ear. she sighed happily. She looked around and said, "I don't understand, why would your eyes have anything to do with your personality?"

Shadow shrugged "I have no idea"

she looked at him. "Well, it doesn't make a difference to me, I can't even see the look."

Shadow smiled "well then your the first one who doesn't"

"Well, it's not what you think. It's not that I can't see it when I 'm lopoking at you." she paused, "I can, it's just not all of it. You see, I'm half blind."

Shadow looked at her surprised "you are?!!"

"Yes, I can't see out of my left eye. I get around though." she yawned. "Don't you dare treat me any different though."

Shadow smiled "okay I will not treat you any different"

"good." she smiled. "That's why i didn't see the trap or the hunter. I would've, but I couldn't." she flicked her ear. "Not that it makes a difference. You can be my other eye now."

Shadow smiled at her "okay"

Hazel stretched and yawned. "I'm tired. I'm taking a nap." she went into the hole and fell asleep.

Shadow nodded and layed down out side the hole

Hazel curled up next to the moss. she wanted to have someone next to her, like in a pack. She put some moss over her like a blanket, hoping that would be a good enough substitute.

Shadow layed there and kept watch

Shadow heard a howl in the distence and growled slightly. he knew this place better then some wolves and the wolves in this part of the woods didn't take kindly to strangers. The howl sounded like it was comeing this way. Shadow went over to the log and stuck his head into the hole "we have to go" he said to Hazel

Hazel woke up and got up to follow,\. How he knew all about this tert\itory, she would never know.

Shadow looked around and headed north. "we have to move quickly"

"ok. but, why?" she had to ask.

"wolves in this part of the forest do not take kindly to strangers." Shadow said as he looked at her

"Oh." she paused, then said, "We have to go then!" she started walking.

Shadow nodded and heard another howl. "this way" he siad as he began to run

Hazel followed, frightened. She didn't want another fight, she was still tired from the last one.
