"Huh? Oh, ok. Yeah, good thing you did that." Umay stepped out and saw Hazel sitting there, back to her.

Celest rolled her eyes. "Cautious, I agree. Snooper, not to the same level." she said. Tyson laughed and wondered what Umay was up to.

Christien smirked "yeah your rigth." he said and then layed down smiled happly. "you know your family is the closest thing I have had to a Pack in a while."

"It was like that for Clair and Buster too, wasn't it?" Tyson asked, knowing that they hadn't been in a pack when they found them.

Hazel walked over. "Umay I made you a promise. Let's walk around and see our new territory." Umay nodded and she and her mother walked out of the clearing.

Clair and buster nodded "yeah we lost our pack and this is the first one we have been in for a while." Clair said as she looked at them.

Christien nodded "then I am glad that I have found a nice pack."

Tyson laughed. "Our mom said she used to be in some sort of pack. A high-ranking one at that."

Hazel and Umay had come to a large willow. "Your father," Hazel began "Was the best wolf that I had met at the time. He was a deep brown, and in certain lights, he fur was as black as a moonless night." She sighed. "His name was Raven."

Christien looked at Tyson "what happend to her pack?"

"Apparently an enemy Pack wiped them out. She doesn't like to talk about it much." Tyson said. He wondered if Shadow knew anything.

"Soon we were offically mates and we lived in peace for awhile. But then, then he saw the enemy Pack." Hazel's eyes were seeing something far away. "He ran. He had promised to protect me, and in a way he did, he ran, and the wolves attacking me turned on him. Last I saw of him was him running into the bushes." Hazel turned to Umay. "He always said that he wanted to name his son, but he wasn't here when you were born. It was eating me away that when Shadow named Tyson, and I knew that Raven would have chosen differently." She sighed, and Umay pressed up against her. "It's alright, who knows, maybe he is still alive?" Umay said hopefully. They padded back slowly to camp.

Christien nodded sadly "I wonder if any of them survived." he said softly and went threw the list of wolves he has met over the year

Celest shook her head sadly. "I doubt it. She always made the impression they all died." She frowned.

Hazel licked Umay's cheek. "You must not tell the others. Even if they asked, tell them I wanted to check the territory with you." Umay nodded and went in. Hazel lay down out of the den. The ground was now covered in snow, and she went down a row of memories.

Christien sighed, "that is really sad, It reminds me of how my birth pack died." he said softly, He pack had been killed off by a mad wolf that was huge, they had no idea where he came from or what he wanted. But this one wolf in his pack who looked was brown had saved Christien before he was killed and got himself killed n Vhristiens place.

Celest leaned into Christian. "It's alright. Your with us now and- Hey Umay! What did Mom want?" Umay padded in and took a seat by Buster. "Oh, she just wanted to show me a good spot to fish that she saw on the way in." she said. "It's really cool, I'll show you tomorrow."

Buster smiled and licked Umay "sounds good to me but right now I think we should all get some rest." he said as he layed down.

Christien nodded and also layed down. After talking about his old pack memorys started to come back to him of the day that it was destoryed and everything else about his old pack. He never knew his dad and was named by the brown wolf in his pack right after he came to the pack all beat up.

Celest lay down next To Christian and licked his head. "It'll be alright." she murmured before she fell asleep. Tyson put his head on Clair's back and fell asleep, and Umay fell asleep next to Buster.

Christien smiled but his memorys where still in the front of his mind. He soon couldn't stand to be laying down and got up, carefull not to desturb Celest. He then walked outside and sat down next to Hazel "mind if I join you?" he asked softly

Clair was soon fast asleep with Tyson and so was BUster.

Hazel's ears swiveled when she heard Christian. "Sure thing. Can't sleep?" she turned and faced him. It was still snowing.

Christien nodded slowly "yeah, memorys are keeping me awake." he said softly and looked up into the sky.

"Hmm." Hazel nodded. "Strange things are happening in this world. I wonder what will become of our way of life."

Christien nodded "my friend from my pack use to say the same thing. He would always say that out way of life would come to a end if we didn't find a way to co exist with the humans. He was the one who got me started in studying human behaviors." he said as he looked up into the sky and remembered his brown furry friend. They had been close, almost like father and son and he sometimes looked black.

"Humans are alright. Shadow became friends with one human, Alex." she tilted her head. "I wonder what became of him." She looked up, the clouds were breaking up.

Christien looked at her shocked then shrugged "maybe the humans turned on him and killed him or maybe he is off haveing fun." he said then layed down. "why can't you sleep?" he asked as he looked at her.

"Same as you." She replied. "And the chance that someone I know may be alive. and if he were, I don't know what would become of the Pack." She looked up. The sky was filled with beautiful stars. "Will you look at that." she said, her fur bathed in starlight.

Christien smiled when he saw the stares. "who is this someone, maybe I have met him on my travels." he said as he looked at her.

"I doubt it, pup. You probably weren't born when I last saw him. He is probably dead now anyway." She sighed, and closed her eyes. She seemed to feel a presence, a wind swept through the clearing.

Umay, Tyson and Celest sat up. Something had woken them up. They padded out and saw Hazel. "Did you hear something?" Tyson asked.

Christien smirked "you know you remind me of my one friend, he use to say that his one friend owuld be dead if it hadn't been for him." he said then sighed. Then jumped to his feet, he also felt something.

Clair, buster and shadow came out "what is going on?" buster said still hafl asleep.

"Shh!" Umay said, and they all perked their ears. The wind came again. The stars suddenly shown with a bright shine, and a flash went through the forest. Suddenly the field was covered in a eery glow.
