Buster stood watch over his kill and made sure that no one tryed to steal it form him till the others got there.

Raven saw him first. "Nice catch!" He complimented. "You caught this by yourself?" "He's good at hunting." Umay said with a hint of proudness in her voice. The other cubs nodded and Raven nodded with approval.

Buster smiled then looked at Tyson, "alpha eats first." he said as he steped aside.

Tyson jumped, surprised at the offer. Then he realized that he was Alpha now, but then he thought, wait, Hazel is older than me, she's my mom for pete's sake! She should eat first. He turned to Hazel and offered with his tail, but she shook her head. He shrugged and ate his share.

When Tyson backed away Clair moved in with Buster at her side and they started to eat and christien started to eat as well.

Umay looked worriedly at her mother. "You should eat." she said, sitting by her as Celeste began to eat. "No. I didn't catch it, I should not eat." "But Buster caught it, and we are all eating..." "No, you go ahead and eat Umay." Umay was still concerned, but when Christian moved away she and Raven began to take there share.

Buster and clair soon moved away. Buster then looked at Hazel and bowed, "I cought this for everyone, so please eat."

Hazel still shook her head but she went forward and took a few bites. Then, as if realizing she was hungry, she ate her full share and stepped back with a guilty look on her face.

Clair saw her face and walked over, "what is with the face? you needed to eat or else die."

Hazel gave her a weird look. "Just those two choices? Shouldn't there be a third choice in life?" she glared at Clair and walked off, tail swishing angrily. Celeste was surprised to agree with her mother. There should be a third choice. When Christian gave her the two choices, did he neglect one?

Clair watched her go but then thought, was there a third choice. Christien saw Celeste looking at him and knew she agreed with her mother. He had given her two choices, leave him, love him but there was another one and that was just to be with him as friends and live life happly.

"I'll see if she if she's ok." Celeste volunteered, breaking the awkward silence by dashing off to her mother, who had gotten deep in the woods. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked once she caught her breath. "I am fine." "No you are not."

Clair looked at everyone and shrugged. "lets drag the rest of the deer to the cave for later."

"Good idea." they all picked up the deer and started to drag it home.

"Fine, I am not alright. That doesn't meant that you need to worry about it." Celeste sighed. "Hazel, you need to open up. Why won't you talk to us?"

When they got back Buster pushed the deer to the back of the cave so that it was out of the way.

"You better guard that from Tyson." Umay joked. "He gets hungry in the middle of the night." "No I do not!" "Yes you do."

"You wouldn't understand. It's to complicated." Hazel moved as if she was going to walk off, but Celeste stopped her. "Mom, you need to tell us what is wrong. If not us cubs, tell Raven. He would be happy to help."

Buster laughed, "he is welcoem to eat but not a lot." he said and clair pressed her side agenst tyson, "dont go and get fat on me." he said as she smiled at him.

Tyson glared at Umay. "I do not!" He protested weakly as Umay laughed and walked out of the cave. His anger disappeared as he breathed in Clair's scent.

"If I say ok, will you leave me alone?" Celeste was hurt at her mother's words, but she nodded anyway. "Promise you'll talk to him?" "Promise."

Clair smiled and licked Tysons cheek. he was sort of cute when he was angery but she like dit better when he was calm.

Tyson smiled and lay down.

Celeste walked Hazel back to camp, where they saw Umay and Raven waiting. "Hello!" Umay called over cheerfully.

Clair layed down besides him and smiled happly at him.

Buster came out and smiled at Umay when he heard her call.

Celeste whispered in Umay's ear, "We decided to let Raven talk to her. Let's leave them alone." Umay nodded and beckoned Buster with her tail back into the cave.

Buster smiled and happly followed her in and hoped that talking to Raven would help Hazel.

Raven sat down by Hazel. "Something tells me that you want to talk about something." he said, and Hazel chuckled.

Clair was soon falling alseep next to Tyson and buster licked Umays head happly.
