Umay wagged her tail happily, leaning into Buster. Celeste looked around. "Where is Christian?" she wondered to herself.

Hazel sighed. "I just miss him." she said truthfully. Raven nodded, "We all do."

Buster shrugged and licked umays head. "I think he is still outside wondering around."

"I better go get him." Celeste grumbled as she got up from her warm spot and trotted out into the woods.

"But think about it, we are all here, there is still some prey, and we have each other." Raven was trying to remain optimistic.

Christien was outside in a clearing not to far away from the cave. he was enjoying the peace and quiet outisde.

Celeste soon found him. "There you are!" she exclaimed, running over. "We've been wondering where you went!"

Raven licked Hazel's ear. "Let's get some sleep." Hazel nodded and they trudged into the cave.

Christien smiled at her, "I have just been enjoyin the piece and quiet."

Celeste narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Are you sure? you seem worried about something."

Hazel lay down in the cave and Raven helped her get to sleep.

Christen nodded, "yeah, just needed ot get away from it all since it feels werid without shadow here anymore."

"State the obvious." Celeste said dryly. "Come on, your going to catch your death of cold out here. Winter has come, and we need our strength."

Christien nodded and got up, "okay, lets head back." he said as he looked at her.

Celeste nodded. She didn't know what to say right then, she wasn't comfortable with this silence.

Christen licked her head and smiled, he knew that everything would be okay even if shadow wasn't here.

Thoughts were whirling through her head. So I am tied to this wolf forever? I won't have another chance for a mate? She had a concerned look on her face.

Christien saw the look in her eyes and shook his head, "you dont have to stay with me, you do know that right." he said as he looked at her.

Now he'll make me feel bad! she thought. "But isn't this what you want? You want to pass on at some point, and not keep coming back." She thought about it. "Why don't you want to come back? If Shadow came back as another wolf, I think Hazel would love it."

Christend looked at her, "you could say that it gets boreing after a while and maybe who knows, Shadow might be just like me and he might be out there right now." he said as he looked at her.

Celeste nodded. "I guess so. But wouldn't you forget your old life? Or if you didn't, strive to fix any mistakes you made?"

Christien sighed, "I have tryed to forget my old life but sometimes it comes back. All the people I met and all the people I loved. I have also tryed to fix mistakes but most of the time they fail."

Celeste frowned. "Then you are not trying hard enough." she said.

Christien sighed, "yeah, your probabaly right." he said and thought about all the mistakes he made, "and if I am to go and make up for those mistakes I would have to leave here."

Celeste sighed and said "you know I can't leave here Christian, I can't leave my family while their like this." she was seriously not liking the deal that she made with him.

Christien nodded, "I know and that is why I am calling the deal off." he said as he looked at her. He knew that she couldn't leave her family and he was always distante from everyone else so it only seemed right they he called it off.

Celeste sighed. "Christian, I..." she didn't want to say she didn't agree to the calling off, so she nuzzled him. "I hope you find someone who will take care of you. You can always come back here."

Christian smiled and licked her head gently. "yes I know and I am glad that I have found a great pack like yours to come back to." he said as he looked at her and smiled.

Celeste pressed her nose into his neck. "We'll miss you, but I'll tell them what happened."
