He laughed a little bit and gave her another hug, "no need to say sorry anymore Aderith, I understand" all he wanted to do was to hug her, hold her in his arms and tell her that he loved her. He looked out one of her windows, seeing the sky slowly grow darker, night had finally come, and soon stars were appearing with the bright full moon. "Its night already?" He asked himself, he laughed, "we both must have lost track of time" he kissed Aderith once more. "Would you like it if I stayed here again tonight with you Aderith?" He asked her, holding her hands within his as he waited for an answer.
Aderith began nodding quickly, not even bothering to hesitate with her answer to the man.. person. She was with no doubts wanting him to stay with her. "Yes.." She said. "Please stay with me.. I don't want you to leave." She pulled him to her body tighter before relaxing a little more. "C-can.. I need to bathe more." She felt especially dirty now. "But.. Can you come with me? Please?"
"I'll stay" he said, hugging her and stopping when she spoke, he was blushing wildly when she asked him to come with her. "Uhh... yes, I'll go with you" he said shyly, he laughed a little bit, "lets go" he said, waiting over by the door while she would grab the items she'd need. "By the way, I have a spare bar of soap if you'd want it, its very soothing and makes your skin feel incredibly soft" he reached into his item bag and held onto it as he waited for her.
Of course, Ader didn't bother telling him that she planned on moving to where she was out of his view.. but still.. Smiling, Aderith took his hand, gripping it gently as she moved out of the room. "Let's go," she said in her soft and now sweeter voice. It was amazing the kind of difference that could be made when she was in a good or better mood. As the two walked, she would grab his arm occasionally, eventually coming toward the camp which also shared the lake.
He smiled the whole way, enjoying the nice walk down to the lake together, he freed his arm from her grip and put it over her shoulders, holding her close to him. When they reached the lake, he gave her the spare bar of soap and turned around with his eyes closed, he whistled 'Saria's Song' to himself as he waited for her to undress and enter the lake.
Smiling the entire way as well, Ader seemed to be completely in love with him. Though she wasn't. Once they got to the lake and Link turned his back, Aderith smiled and stripped into the nude. She wanted to just up and jump into the water.. But him.. Wrapping the towel around herself that she'd brought, Ader moved up behind Link, wrapping her arms around him gently, making sure that they were around his chest. "Mmmmm.." She said softly on her tiptoes.
He halted his whistling when she wrapped her arms around him, he smiled again, turning around, he gave her a hug, making sure her towel didn't fall off. He kept his eyes closed, but he was blushing a lot, when he was done hugging her, he laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry..." he said shyly, his eyes still closed, "I'll stand guard while you bathe, alright?" He turned around and opened his eyes then, still blushing a little.
Smiling, she leaned up and kissed his lips. "I don't mind if you watch. " Besides, it was dark outside and the water looked more murky at night anyway. "I wanted to talk to you anyways.." Pulling away from him she began her way back toward the lake, body moving at a decent pace as she dropped her towel and dove in. She gasped at the coldness, her body beginning to shiver violently. Apparently the water was colder at night.
When she entered the lake, he turned around, "you can talk to me now if you wish" he sat down by the lake edge, he stuck his hand in the water, feeling its coldness. It made him shiver, "hold on one second love" he said, standing up and reaching into his item bag, he pulled out a small hollow crystal with a red, flaming orb inside it, he held it over the waters surface and chanted a small spell. The orb began to shine with a bright red light, it made the lake a lot warmer, almost like a giant, relaxing hot tub, he laughed and tossed the crystal into the air, he caught it when it came back down. "Is that better Aderith?" He asked her, sitting back down and putting the crystal back into his item bag, he smiled.
Of course, Aderith was skeptical. She had to be, because Link was Link, and he always seemed to be up to something. Aderith moved deeper into the water as Link began to basically cook her in there. She had to admit though, it felt so much nicer than before. "That is nice," she whispered, beginning to sink down to her neck. "Why don't you get in?" She was mostly just teasing him, but also she felt he deserved the relaxation.
He blushed a little bit and looked all around him, "well, if you insist..." he removed his hat and his shirt along with his boots and gloves, he kept his pants on. He rolled up the pant legs into shorts and jumped into the nice hot tub, making a big splash. He rose up to the surface, moving his hair out of his face and laughing, "ahh... this is great" he said, lying back on the water's surface. He stayed a bit far away from Aderith though, so she could bathe, he looked at the sky, enjoying its sparkling beauty. He smiled and then sunk down to the bottom of the lake, he stayed under for a while, he didn't need to breathe so there was no fear of drowing.
He started to swim back up though, he still needed to keep watch and he couldn't from down there, he laughed a little, "almost done Aderith?" He asked her, still looking up at the sky so she can have her privacy. |
Aderith had been splashing around in her own little world for what seemed like the longest time. She gasped just a little to see Link back up top. "Oh.. umm, yes.." Sighing slightly, she moved toward the banks making sure that Link wasn't looking in her direction. She moved from the water quickly, her body moving again gracefully to her towel and clothes so that she could dress. When done, she looked at Link and smiled. "Come on.."
He closed his eyes until Aderith spoke once more, "alright, coming!" Link said, quickly swimming back over to her and climbing onto land, he stepped into his boots, pulled his pant legs down to normal and carried the rest of his clothes as he followed Ader back home. Once she opened her door and stepped in, he quickly followed and shut the door for her, "now, don't you feel better now that you're all clean?" Asked Link, giving her a hug and a kiss, he was all dry since the walk home took a little while.
Aderith smiled at Link. She began to pull him toward her bed again. "Yes, I feel much better.." She dragged him onto the square, smiling and holding him close. "Lay with me," she whined. Ader was obviously falling onto the Link side of things. She was beginning to like him and she knew it. Aderith didn't like it.. but she knew it..
(Sorry it's short, I'm brain dead." |
((Lol, its alright))
He laughed when she started to whine, "you don't have to tell me twice" he said smiling, he hugged and kissed her, holding her close to him as well. He sighed, "I wish I was alive..." he was starting to grow sad, but he tried to get over it for Aderith's sake, kissing her again. He cuddled with her, trying to be happy that she was in his arms again, but he found it difficult, knowing they never could really be together, since he was dead and she was alive. |
Smiling the entire time, Aderith stayed close to Link, arms around him tightly and gently. Words pressed at her lips, and she had to strongest desire to say them.. and it scared her just enough to make her eyes leave Link's. She didn't hesitate from there though, and her face grew extremely red. "I love you," she said, mostly in one word and close together. She looked away from him again briefly. Aderith didn't understand why she wanted to say that so badly.. It just confused her.
Link was blushing as well and smiling happily, he hugged her again, "I love you too Aderith" he said gently, "it makes me even more happy to hear those words from you." He gave her a sweet and long kiss, cuddling with her after he stopped, he continued smiling, "I feel so alive right now since I'm with you." It sounded pretty cheesy, but he did feel alive now thanks to Aderith's words, he could only daydream he was alive though.
Though Aderith seemed over all to be fairly happy, she couldn't help but to feel a slight awkwardness between herself and Link. Even if things weren't as awkward as she'd figured they would be, she felt on the inside as though she'd made a mistake.. So she said nothing. Ader scooted close to Link, closing her eyes and hiding her face so that she wouldn't have to deal with her own problems.
He also sensed awkwardness and strangeness between them, a dead person in love with a living, breathing one, but he didn't care, he loved Aderith and she loved him, thats all that mattered. Despite how much he wanted this moment to last, he was trying everything he could to keep his eyes open, it was growing later and later into the night, he yawned a quiet yawn. "Perhaps we should go to sleep now Aderith, as much as I don't want to... the spirit is willing but I'm just too tired" he laughed weakly, "good night love" said Link kissing her on the top of her head afterward. He waited for a good night from her in return, doing his best to not pass out.
Aderith, though smiling sweetly to the man was still having the hardest time accepting what she'd told him. "You're right," she said eventually. "Good night." Of course, she could only feel bad for what she'd done, because taking it back would have to be the worst thing that she could possibly do to him.. mainly because his feelings seemed to be the most sincere.
He smiled when he heard a good night from her and finally fell asleep right after, as he held her close to him, he felt something strange, a thought went through his mind. Could she not love him and she said those words without thinking? He could've been in denial... but that thought did not leave his brain all night, he dreamed about it, it wouldn't disappear. When morning came, he woke up quickly, not very well rested, but just enough to help him stay awake for a while, he looked at Aderith, sleeping next to him quite peacefully. He didn't smile though, or give her a kiss on the forehead, "good morning Aderith" he whispered gently into her ear, then he climbed out of bed as best as he could without waking her.
He yawned quietly and stepped outside for some fresh air, he closed the door slowly behind him. Once outside, he took a deep breath and exhaled a few times, then went back to thinking about the question he pondered on all night. He wished it to not be true, he was basically lied to by the one he actually, truly loves, he sighed and hunched over a little. He sat down near the wall next to Aderith's door, head resting on his knees, as he waited for her to awaken. |
In her mind that night, Ader knew something was wrong. Of course her body wouldn't come to terms with what exactly, because she was sleeping and very tired. She knew that what she'd done was wrong, but she figured it was alright.. besides, he didn't know, right? About ten minutes after the body moved from next to her, Aderith's eyes opened and she blinked, stretching out and yawning. "Link?" She asked him in a soft voice, eyes moving around the room rapidly. She sat up abruptly in a bit of a panic. "Link..?" she asked again, getting to her feet and moving to the door. She swung it open and then glanced around and finally relaxed. There he was, sitting against the wall. "Link," she said softly, moving to him swiftly. "What are you doing?" She sat down next to him and leaned against him sweetly, her hands moving to his arms.
"Hello Aderith... I'm just thinking" He sounded a bit emotionless, "I have something to ask you... Did you say the words 'I love you' without meaning them? I won't get mad or upset at you if they were not true, I just wish to know." He looked her straight in the eye, waiting for this most needed answer, then his mind and heart could rest easy.
Her heart sank, and one of the saddest looks appeared on the poor girl's face. The grip she'd held on Link's arms began to loosen slowly but surely and she looked down. "I just wanted you to be happy," she whispered, still not looking at him. She felt lower than low now, especially since Link seemed to be upset about it, though, he said he wouldn't be. After all, he'd seemed so happy.. "I'm sorry.." Looking up to him she frowned, more than clearly upset about this too.
He pulled her close and hugged her, "its alright Aderith... perhaps its best that we aren't together, it would devastate me to see you cry when the Triforce is taken from me. I feel in the pit of my stomach that day is quickly approaching us... as much as I don't want to die, I don't want to upset you more..." the tears began to flow now, he did all he could to hold them back before, but now he lost all control.
