(I'ma just make a new post.)

A loud thud sounded out amongst the cheering and screaming of her fellow soldiers.. A young woman with dark brown, tied up hair panted, sword at hand as the man before her collapsed into the sweet slumber of death. She had been victorious... Finally.. After watching the the body lay lifeless for just a moment, the woman let out a soft cry and fell to the dirt, right to her knees. Many men and women alike let out gasps of horror as they watched their hero sit in the dirt.. and... cry? Why was she crying? She had just killed the man holding them all prisoner for so many years!

The woman's name was Aderith. Most people called her Ader.. Much pronounced like Adair. She was born in the same village that she was in now, and ever since she'd been taken prisoner by the same evil man she'd only just killed, she had vowed to save her people and put an end to the madness.. Though, what she did not know, was that the madness had only just begun.

(Yes, it's a horrible post.)

((Lol, its okay.))

A dark-clothed figure with a handkerchief covering his face had appeared out in the field, Link had entered the mighty kingdom of Holodum, his ability to sense upcoming danger and evil had led him there, all the way from Hyrule, which was half-way across the Earth. "Finally, and I came just before the danger started" he said to himself as he looked around at the environment. His shadow flew up into the air and took the form of his friend, Midna, she floated in the air by his side, "feels like we'll need all the strength we possibly have to win this..." Link nodded his head in response to her and started walking across the field through the paved, dirt paths, off to a village near them.

He sensed a wide abundance of life within it, and also something was wrong, but it had just passed, so he quickly ran off toward the village. He hoped that there would be people here that could give him some information about some of the current events happening in their kingdom.

(Sorry that this took about forever. I got a crazy head ache.)

Ader sat there, still panting, her eyes looking sadly upon the dead man before her. The village people all stared in wonder at the sight, before finally leaving Ader to her be alone. Before long, however, there came to be a bit of an uproar on the villagers behalf; they'd all seen the stranger.

Getting to her feet, Ader wiped at her face and eyes so that she could turn around and look at the mob that was forming into a circle around something that seemed to be moving? Picking up her dirtied sword, Ader thrust it into the ground, her pale brown eyes moving with the people but only for a brief moment, before moving toward them all together. Only a moment ago she'd been famous.

As Link entered, he was greeted by the villagers, his eyes widened and his eyebrows rose in the surprise, he blinked for a little while, before regaining his focus. "Hello" he said, looking around at the crowd, "my name is Link... and I've come to help you, please, is there anything going on currently that is troubling you all?" He bravely waited for an answer from the curious villagers, but he sensed someone was outside the ring, and his own curiosity began to grow. He crouched and then used his strength to jump high in the air and over the crowd, he did a flip, and his cloak flapped in the wind as gravity did its work, he landed on his feet outside the crowd.

He caught sight of Aderith and could sense some importance from her, he found the one he was looking for. He lowered the handkerchief on his face to reveal his identity, "excuse me ma'am..." he started to say, "but, I've come here, sensing that a dangerous future is ahead for you, and I've come to help."

It took the longest moment for Ader to see Link, but when she did, she gasped. He definitely did not look human, though, in a way you could tell that he was. He was just extremely pale and dead looking..

Backing up just barely, Ader blushed a bit, before raising her sword the the sunlight. It wasn't technically her sword.. but.. "We don't need any help," she told him simply, her eyes showing the anger and distaste she was already holding for the stranger. "I am all the protection that this village needs.. You're not welcome here.." As much as Ader hated to be rude to the stranger, she felt like she needed to, as he was quite a bit of a threat.

Link was confused at the tone of her voice and body language, "please ma'am, I don't wish to cause you any trouble, I know you'll need my help, you can't accomplish this upcoming battle without me." He stared back at her, straight into her eyes, he could sense that she was very kind, but he wondered why she was acting like she was. He pointed his head down at the ground, his hat covered his eyes, "I didn't travel all this way just to be denied by lack of trust" he looked up, his hat back to its normal position, he gave Ader a glare.

She still would not drop her defensive stance, so he sighed, "fine, I'll just go someplace else, but you'll fail without my help." He raised up his handkerchief, turned around and started to head back to the field, he pushed his way through the crowd.

"W-well good riddance then!" Ader crossed her arms, her eyes on the... thing that was leaving her and her village. She had no idea what he'd been talking about, considering that there had not been a real war in years.. But she knew that what ever it had been, it was probably a big lie or something. It didn't make all that much sense to her.. why would the mostly peaceful world that she had lived in for so long collide into something so murky and deadly? It would not.. exactly.

After it had seemed as though the stranger had made it a good distance away from Ader, she sighed, her eyes falling to the ground as she tried to relax remotely.

(I'm sorry that these are short and cruddy.. I'm having a really hard time in the real world right now. :/)

He stood out in the field, near the village entrance and out of the sight of its residence, upset and angry at the same time, "that woman just has no idea how bad this kingdom's future will truly be like, Midna." His shadow flew up into the air and took on Midna's form. "I know Link... but don't worry, she'll believe you at some point, for now lets find some place to stay and wait." She put her hand on his shoulder and smiled, he smiled back, but you couldn't see because of his handkerchief. Midna gave him a hug and disappeared, his shadow returned to him and he stood there, thinking, the wind blew across the land, making his cape wave wildly and some of his hair hit his face.

He didn't feel like going to a different village, he wanted to keep a close eye on the one he just left because of Aderith, so he jumped into a tree, close to the village. He climbed up to the most stable and thickest branch and got comfortable there, criss-crossing his legs and resting his hands on his stomach. He had a good view of the village from such a hight, and didn't take his eyes off it for a second, he could see everyone's movements thanks to his incredible vision. As the hours went by, he grew tired, exhausted even, and decided to take some time to sleep, he moved his hat over his eyes and leaned against the tree.

He used his cloak as a sort of blanket and after a few minutes, he peacefully felt asleep.

The rest of the day had been nothing more than a miserable blur to Aderith. Her eyes stayed low as people both shunned and praised her presence wherever she went. She had only wanted to help.. and now she was either a hero or villain to two totally different sides of her village and home.

After what seemed like hours of slow and tireless walking, she came to a stop on a soft and grass-covered hill. Before long, she had sunk to her knees like before, sobbing and crying softly to herself. No one but Ader and Ader alone knew or could guess why she was so upset about the death of the man that she had practically slaughtered.. They'd been far closer than anyone else could imagine or guess. Nothing too intimate, but friends for years and years.. More than years; since birth...
Ader wiped her eyes, covering her mouth.

She and the man that she had killed had grown up together in another village, another place many many miles away from her home now. After a horrible set of circumstances, the two were ripped apart, and now they were here...

She let out another horrid sounding cry as the sun began to sink away.

His ears perked up, he sensed Ader's sadness and heard her sobbing, it made him worry and feel bad for her, he didn't know why she was so sad, but he still wished to try and calm her down. He swung his head back, making his hat go back to normal so he could see and he looked around, noticing Ader on a small hill nearby, so he put his cloak back on and stood up on the branch. He jumped from the branch, making leaves fly into the air and the branch shook wildly after he jumped, he flew through the air and landed on his feet near the hill, which he slowly walked up to reach Ader.

"Excuse me..." he said, trying to get her attention, he lowered the handkerchief on his face to show his sad and worried expression. "Do you need someone to talk to? My ears are open for you" He sat near her and had a sweet smile on his face, he only wished to help her out, but he had a thought in his mind that she might run away.

Ader was still upset, face hidden when the stranger popped back into the image. Though surprised that he was back, Ader showed no interest in him. She really wanted nothing to do with the man.. thing.. She wasn't quite sure what he was, as he really didn't look very alive and well.. Kind of scary, actually. Okay, maybe not so bad but still. She was in no mood to deal with someone who was seemingly quite rude and unnecessary.

"Go away," she told him simply, looking up from her knees and hands only once so that she could glance at him. "I thought you were leaving anyway!" Yeah, why was he still there? It didn't matter, because soon enough, she was hiding her face again. It was obvious that she was more than just a little upset about what she had done.. unlike everyone else living in the village, she seemed to have somewhat of a soul.

"I don't want to leave until you stop crying... and tell me what happened, it'll help you feel better, you're not gonna have anyone else to talk to you know." He wasn't about to let her rude attitude get the best of him, she was just upset about something, and he wanted to know what. He took a wild guess and looked away for a second, "did you kill a best friend?" He asked her in a serious voice, he looked at her with a serious face as he waited for any kind of response.

Ader, though blinking with a bit of confusion was fully alarmed. How would he know something like that? She looked at him through sad and slightly worried eyes, her head nodding after a moment. "I had no other choice," she said simply. "He would have killed me if I hadn't killed him first." It only went to show that staying that far apart from someone was no way to stay close.. It just wasn't possible.

"Was he an evil man? If he wasn't evil... then why kill him? Please, explain, just let it all out so you can move on." He gently patted her back, feeling just as sad as her and he didn't even know her name yet.

He had to have been.. she could see it in his eyes. They'd changed over the years.
"I don't know," she said softly. "I was protecting myself.. my people! He took my people captive!" He had tried to take her captive too! She shook her head. "I don't know.." She whispered, wiping her eyes, rocking back and forth a bit so that she could calm herself remotely.

He took a moment to absorb what she told him, he put his hand on her shoulder, "you did the right thing, you protected your people and loved ones from a corrupt human being. Everyone has an evil being inside them, they could choose to keep it contained or let it out and have it control them, sadly, your friend let it out." It seemed like a funny thing to say, but it made sense in a way, "I'm truly sorry for your loss, but the instant he did what he did, he was no longer your friend." He stood up and offered her his hand, "come on, I'll take you home, no use staying out here," he gave her a smile.

Ader had to admit that the stranger was somewhat correct. His words made sense, after all, her friend was no longer hours ago.. She thought for a moment about going with the man, her dark eyes on his hand, body, and eventually his face before making the decision to allow him to take her home. Reaching up, she smiled only barely, taking his hand and wiping her eyes with her other. "Thank you," she said softly, blushing a little, looking to the grass beneath her feet.

He continued to smile on the walk back to the village, everyone else was in their homes, some asleep and some still awake since candles were lit in the window. Once they reached Ader's home he let her hand go and blushed a little, "sleep good okay? But, before I go, please, what is your name?"

Out of all of the small homes, with the off white candles that blazed through the darkness in the windows, the two approached a slightly smaller one. It was dark colored, darker than the others, with faded window panes and thick, slightly foggy glass. It was small looking, quaint, and it was obvious that the girl lived alone. "I'm Aderith," she told him simply. "I am called Ader." There was a difference. "And you?"

"My name is Link" he replied, blushing still, "well, I should get going, back to the field, I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" He waved good-bye and ran off, back to the tree he slept in earlier. When he reached and climbed to the branch he slept on before he reached his item bag on his belt and pulled out a blue ocarina. He tested the notes and took a deep breath, then he began to play this song on his wind instrument. The music he played echoed throughout the land and it made everyone incredibly sleepy and relaxed, soon everyone awake was then asleep as his song ended.

He laughed lightly and ended up falling asleep himself, soon after, thanks to the drowsiness the song gave people.

((Ignore the piano and everything else in the song, that'd be weird... you play an ocarina but hear a piano and ambiance. :XD))

(OHMYGOD. IM SO EXCITED ITS SNOWING HERE. xD)

The next morning, Ader awoke to pure silence, and a very cold bed. She shivered lightly, her body quivering as she moved from the bed, peering out of her cold window and blowing out the candle. She had only one thing to look forward on the cold day.. She picked up a silk robe, wrapping herself in it before finding wood that she had stored to create a fire. Once that was done, it was onto breakfast, which she made an abundance of, just in case..

((Yay! I never want to see snow again after what happened during December... we lost almost every tree in our apartment complex since so much snow toppled them over. :())

He awoke quickly as the sunlight burst in through the tree branches, practically blinding him with its brightness. He grumbled and put his ocarina back in his item bag, then he jumped out of the tree, landing on his feet below. He yawned and stretched, "I wonder if Aderith is alright..." he said, rubbing his eyes to get them used to the light again. He walked toward the village, curious about Ader and he wondered if she felt any better since yesterday.

When he reached her house he knocked on the door, "Aderith, its me Link, are you awake?" He asked after he knocked and he patiently waited for an answer.

(We've had at least five inches! O: I love it!)

Aderith had been steadily cooking some eggs that she'd purchased the day before, right over her fire, the sweetest smile on her face. She jumped though, hearing a gentle knock on her door. Her smile though, grew wider. She had only cooked extra food because she thought that maybe Link would come back.. And now he had!

Skipping to the door, she opened it, smiling. "Good morning," she said in her sweet and cute petite voice. "Are you hungry?" She hoped he was! Although, depending on exactly what he was, he may or may not be hungry.. "I have a little extra food left over if you'd like to come in and eat.." Aww, her face was turning pink.

He smiled, happy to know she was no longer upset, he frowned though when she offered him food, his dead stomach making it impossible and unnecessary for him to eat. "No thanks, I'm not hungry, but I'll come in to keep you company" he accepted her offer and walked on in, enjoying the warmth of the fire inside. "I'm so glad that you're feeling better and since you're finally used to me... perhaps we could learn more about each other and become friends? I'd like a friend while I'm staying here in Holodum..." He wanted to tell her about Midna, but he decided to wait on that, he already freaked her out enough with his appearance, he didn't want to scare her again.

"You can go first if you like, I'll serve you your breakfast" he got everything ready for her and placed her food on her table, he pulled out a chair for her to sit in. When she did, he gently pushed it in and sat in the chair opposite of hers and waited for her to tell her story if she wanted to.
