Tine was bored. He had been living in the other realm for millennium, maybe it was time for him to visit the human realm once more. Rising from his throne, he crossed the floor, ignoring the creatures scurrying to get out of his way. He stopped in front of a mirror and spat a word in a dark language and his reflection changed to a veiw of the mortal realm. It had changed so much over the last four thousand years.

He watched as a group of young humans entered a building they called "school". Maybe that would be where he would enter the mortal realm. Turning, he left his throne room.

"Ivirizal!" he yelled as he strode to his work chamber.

A lesser demon, with dark green skin and large white eyes scurried into the room, bowing on the floor. "Master?" it said with a slight hissing to it's voice.

"I am going to the mortal realm for a visit. You will be in charge until I return,"

Ivirizal bowed. "Yes, Master,"

Tine studied some of the books of the human realm he'd had his minions steal over the years. Rifling through, he man a spell to change his appearance into that of a human boy. Looking in the mirror he scowled. He looked pathetic. He was still tall, but his head had shrunk and instead of scales, his head was covered in reddish/blond hair and his glowing red eyes were now a boring bland green color. "Bah, human's are ugly, aren't they?" he asked his servant, not expecting an answer.

Finally pleased with his appearance, he tore open the door between the realms and stepped through, right into the path of a speeding car.

Marina. A girl was walking into school as she turned around to hear the tires squeal. "What the..." She looked to see the boy. "Oh my." She handed her friend her books and went to help the boy.

"You ok?" She smiled. Her jet black hair tied up in a ponytail. Her emerald green eyes looked at him. "You should be more careful." She smiled sweetly.

She wore a black shirt with a small skull on the side. Her skirt red and black with fishnets underneath. Her boots a few inches tall to give her height.

"Come on let's get you out of here." She smiled and looked at the driver of the car.

Tine glared at the metal beast, that had tried to run him down. The human inside it's glass stomach seemed angry as well. Tine figured being digested would do that to a human.

He turned to the human female. She was smaller then him, the way he liked his females, but she was human. Her fur was black as were her clothes. Maybe she wasn't a bad person.

"I am unharmed," he said allowing the female to lead him away from the metal beast.

"My name is Marina... But you can call me Mari or Rina... Whichever one you wish." She smiled. Marina bit her lip from habit. "Would you like to hang out after school today?"

She stood in front of the boy. "Hopefully we'll talk then... I can meet you here after classes." She blushed slightly.

'He's cute... I've never seen him before though.' She thought to herself.

Her friend called out to her. "MARI! We're gonna be late."

"Alright... I'll be there in a minute." She smiled and looked back at the boy. "We'll talk soon." With that she ran up to her friend and grabbed her books.

Tine watched the girl leave him. It was an odd sensation to have someone leave him without his permission. Humans were strange that way. Curious about the girl, he followed her into the building.

"Excuse me, young man!" called a human adult.

Tine looked around and shrugged. Suddenly a hand grabed his arm. "You!"

Tine growled and spun around. "Release me!" he said.

The human male dropped his hand. "Do you attend this school, young man?" he asked.

The demon shook his head. "I attend no school," he answered.

"Then you will have to leave,"

Tine turned his head in the direction that the girl had gone. Making up his mind, he turned back to the male. "I have not yet enrolled in this school. I am supposed to start today," he said.

The adult nodded. "In that case, follow me, we will get you set up with registration."

Tine followed the man and began the tedious process of registering for classes.

After what felt like a century, Tine was finally enrolled at the academy. He scratched at the itchy material of the borrowed uniform he'd been given. After today, he would have Ivirizal make him some uniforms out of bvetter material.

He looked at the list in his hand and then at the door numbers. He was supposed to report for English, right now. Entering the room, he stopped in the doorway. the girl from earlier was sitting next to the window surrounded by other females. The light from the window made her not so ugly.

Marina looked up and smiled at him. Waving she looked at her friends. Sighing as class started her friends went back to their seats and she was left sitting in her lonely corner.

"Class just got a little less boring.' She said to herself as she looked at him.

She crossed her legs and waited for class to begin when the bell rang and the teacher walked in the door.

"Looks like we have a new student." She said. "Why don't you introduce yourself and then take the seat next to Marina in the back...Marina raise your hand so he knows where to go."

Marina did and then put it down after a second or so.

Tine glared at the teacher. He didn't like being ordered around and all morning that was all these humans had been doing. Didn't they know who he was? He snorted. Of course not, or they wouldn't be treating him like this.

"I am Tine Pantherswan," he said before stalking to the seat next to Marina/

The teacher blinked at the abruptness of his answer. Normally, new students spoke more then that.

Tine ignored the teacher's startled look. His attention was on Marina. "You do this every day?"

Marina nodded. "Unfortunately." She shrugged. "But.. If I want to get into a good college and become a writer then I kinda have to."

Again she shrugged. "Welcome to our school by the way." She smiled at him. 'He's so cute!' She thought to herself. Sighing she looked toward the teacher who had his back to his students writing on the board.

She rolled her eyes and started taking notes as to what was being written.

Tine frowned as the teacher began speaking at length. This is boring! he thought looking around the room. Noticing that the female, Marina, was writing on paper, he decided that he should follow her lead. Manifesting some paper and a pen, he began writing.

Marina bit her lip and put her hair up with her pencil once she was done writing.

She looked up at the clock and noticed class was almost over. She put her stuff in her bookbag and looked at him. "What's your next class?" she looked Tine then.

"I can either tell you where you need to go or I can walk with you if it's near my class." She shrugged. "It's up to you unless you think you can find it on your own." She smiled. Green orbs looked toward the boy then.

Tine shrugged at the girl's question. He eyes were intense, a color that he had always enjoyed, hense the reason he'd colored his own that color.

"Here, the harridian in the office gave me a slip of paper. I suppose this is where I am supposed to be," he said shoving the paper at Marina

Marina looked at the paper. "Well let's see here." She looked at the paper and thought for a minute. "Alright... Your next class you have the same thing I do."

She handed the paper back to him and smiled. "We can walk together." She smiled. "Art isn't that hard and it's fun." She grinned again as the bell rang and she picked up her stuff to leave.

"Come on the Tine... Let's head over there." She waited for him to get up and headed for the door. "Alright... Art is mainly the painting stuff.. So I mean it's not that hard."

"Art," he repeated. Using the same magic he'd used to manifest the paper, he made it disappear. Standing, he followed the human female. "When do we eat?" he asked. Maintaining a human for caused him to burn a lot of fuel and he had a feeling the humans would freak out if he suddenly reverted back to his true form. He could recite many tales of his comrade being killed by humans because they failed to maintain their disguise.

"We have lunch after art class." She smiled and looked at him. "Didn't eat breakfast?" She walked down the hall with him.

They entered the room and Marina walked over to her teacher and asked if Tine could sit with her. Her teacher nodded.

Marina walked back over to Tine and took his hand and lead him to the back where she sat. "Today we're painting." Marina smiled.

She put her hair up off her neck and out of her face. She got her paint and a large canvas to start painting.

Thinking before doing anything she bit her lip and then started painting a black background with thorns and deep blood red roses.

Tine stared at Marina's hand holding his. The novelty of it was astounding, so much so that he missed most of what she said. He was surprised that anyone would want to actually spend time with him out of enjoyment and not the fear her caused other demons.

"No, I did eat breakfast, I just have a high metabolism and need to eat every couple of hours," he said sitting down next to her.

He had never painted anything before, so he watched Marina. The art she was creating called to him. It reminded him of home. He wondered if she were one of the "lost" children.

Marina painted the black background quickly. But handled the barbed wire with care. Concentrating hard as she painted. Putting leaves here and there on the painting between the barbed wire.

After she was done with the thorns she waited for parts of it to dry and then started on the roses.

Wiping her face a bit she smeared paint across her cheek. Unphased she went back to painting as if she were in her own little world. Her brush going in the red once again as she finished up the first rose going to the second.

Tine watched Marina's picture come to life. As she finished he gasped. It looked like the gardens back in his home. He leaned forward and brushed a wisp of hair from her face. "Have you ever been to the other realm?" he asked.

(sorry if I'm pushing you in a direction you don't want to go, but I have a bad habit of plotting...I'll send you a PM in a sec about what I was thinking about...I gott ado the dishes right now...)

Marina looked at him oddly. "I've only seen this in dreams.... So I decided to paint it." Shaking her head she looked at him. "I don't know of any other realms but I know of the ones I see in my dreams and in my head." She shrugged then.

She looked at him and smiled when he moved a piece of her hair. "Thank you." she smiled and looked back at her painting.

Tine smiles at Marina. She wasn't a demon, he would have sensed that immediatly. He wondered if she was a desendant of a lost child. Looking back at her painting, it made him a bit homesick.

"Do you have others like this?" he asks.

She nodded. "Yea... I have a lot like this..." She looked at him oddly. "Would you like to see them?"

Marina smiled and finished off her painting and walked in the backroom with him. "Come on I'll show you... This is some stuff that I'm going to put in the art show this year."

She took a painting off a shelf. "This one is my first submission."

Tine stared at the artwork for a long time. He knew the house. It was the house of Oclun Woundbull. He turned his attention once more to the human female. His eyes turned red as he studied her. There was no way she could have ever seen the house, not unless she was from the other realm, and she wasn't.

Without explanation, he grabbed her wrist. Calling on his dark powers, he transported them to his house in the other realm. "Ivirizal!" he yelled dragging the human behind him. He retained his human for so as not to scare her too much.

"Tine... Let me go..." She looked at him and then looked around. "I've seen this..." Her eyes went around the room. "I've been here before." She bit her lip and pulled away from Tine then.

"Let me go..." She was quite the spitfire if need be. "Tine...." She growled and tried to pull away. "Where the hell am I?" she hissed slightly.

Her eyes narrowed as she looked up at the man that had taken her from her art class. "Take me back... I don't want to be here." she growled and tried to stop walking.

She wasn't really trying as hard as she could have but then again... She could help but feel at home in this place that they had warped to.

Tine ignored Marina, though he did release her wrist. "Ivirizal!" he yelled again taking two steps toward the door, his anger rising at his servants lack of answer.

The green demon entered the room and bowed slightly. When his white eyes fell on Marina h e hissed in displeasure. Tine back handed the creature so hard, he flew the few feet to the door. "Insolent little worm!" he growled at his servant.

Ivirizal bowed low again. "Many apologiesss, my massster," he said, his voice soft and slightly reptilian sounding. Tine pointed to Marina and the lesser demon groveled toward her as well. "My apologiesss missstresss."

Tine turned to Marina and smiled, his eyes glowing red. "Welcome home," he said motioning to the area outside the room they were in. "After you have changed and rested, I will take you to see your grandfather."

She made a slight noise when the green thing came into the room. "Euh..."

Her hand going to her mouth once Tine hit the thing. "That is so not right." She said more so to herself then to anyone else.

"Wait.... WHAT?!" She spat once she realized what Tine had said. "I don't have a grandfather... He died before I was born..." She started pacing talking quickly in French.

"This can't be happening... I'm dreaming..." She tried to rationalize and shook her head. "I'm going to wake up from this and I'm going to go to school and come home and do my chores and my homework and I'm going to go to bed...."

Her eyes looked up at Tine then as she stopped pacing. "This can't be real...."
