The Hellsing Organization has been dispatched to a small church where they believe there is repeat of Cheddar. They don't only find the vampire but an odd priest named Father Abel Nightroad. Xover Trinity Blood.
Just to remind us so we don't have to constantly look it up, this RP takes place in approximately 2000, in London. ^^
Private RP between myself and Silver Crusnik. You may read but please do not post. Thank you!

Abel Nightroad's Personal Blood ...
|
|

03-03-2009, 07:11 AM
Name:Cathryn Donavon
Age:23
Gender:Female
Species:Newly Turned vampire
Sire (the vampire who Turned her):Alucard
Hair:Black, upper back length, held back on one side by a red barrette
Eyes:Normally blue, but will turn crimson when she uses vampiric abilities
Affiliation:Hellsing
Specialty:Sniper
Other:Her father was Irish, and her mother was Scottish, although Cathryn herself grew up in London. Because her parents had Irish and Scottish accents, though, she grew up around the accents. Although she sounds British, she will occasionally sound a bit Irish or Scottish, purely by accident. ((This is based loosely on myself. Occasionally I sound Irish or Scottish. Irish is less common, but I sound Scottish quite a bit, even though I am 100% American.))
Hellsing generally only recruits from elite special forces... But there can be exceptions. Cathryn was a sniper with the police. There was some incident that the police responded to, and there were some police snipers. Somehow, by the time Hellsing arrived to take over, Cathryn's position had been overrun by ghouls, so she had to run. Her radio was broken, so she never heard the order to pull out. She found a new position and started sniping ghouls, and finally saw the vampire. She saw Alucard destroy the vampire, and he found her. He knew that Integra's wishes have always been to keep the existence of Hellsing secret, so he essentially grabbed Cathryn and took her back to Integra. Integra found out about her sniping skills, and basically gave her a choice. Join Hellsing, or die. They certainly wouldn't trust her to stay quiet, unless they killed her, so she joined. So at first, Alucard would have referred to her as "Police Girl," but by the time Seras Victoria came along, he had started calling Cathryn "Soldier Girl".
She is an excellent sniper, even more so now that she is a vampire. Therefore, she does not use a scope at all, but is still a terrific shot. In close quarters, however, she is only as good a shot as an average human, due to the fact that as a human, she was a horrible shot with her pistol. She is still a new vampire, so she tends to be rather dependent on Alucard, since she has no clue how to use any of her fledgling powers. Every once in a while, a desperate situation may force her to figure something out on her own, but mostly, she needs help to discover her abilities. Unlike Seras, she has been unable to force herself not to drink blood, and as such, is a bit more powerful than her friend. She is still only a servant vampire, though, as she has yet to drink any of Alucard's blood, which would free her as a nosferatu like him.
Another interesting bit of information is that because Cathryn is Seras's friend, Seras practically begged Alucard to save her life when she was almost killed.
The interesting thing is, Alucard seems quite tolerant of Cathryn's weaknesses. Also, he doesn't call her "Soldier Girl" very often anymore, instead choosing to call her "Kitty", taken from her name, Cathryn. She has pretty much given up trying to convince him to call her Cathryn.
Appearance:Alucard and Cathryn with their guns

It was a chilly night, and it felt like there would be a cold drizzle to accompany it. A very miserable day in Ireland indeed.
And those to suffer it were all congregated about half a mile from the church, standing in the open or leaning against a large truck from which many of them had come out. Leaned against a truck was a young, voluptuous woman with orange-ish hair. Glancing up at the sky, she sighed.
"Looks like bloody rain," she grumbled. "God forbid a Vampire make things easy for us..."

A deep chuckle came from one of the larger patches of shadow, and a tall figure stepped forward, his long red coat billowing a little in the light wind. "Why would rain pose a problem, Police Girl?" Alucard inquired with a grin, looking at the young woman through orange lenses.
"Master... You know I could easily have a problem if it does start raining, trying to see through it to snipe," a young black-haired woman semi-complained, peering over the edge of the roof of the truck. "Hi, Seras."
Alucard glanced up at the second young woman, then rolled his eyes a little. "If you just shoot how I told you, Kitty, you'll be fine," he said firmly, and she sighed.
He's never going to use my real name, is he? she thought.
Nope. Get used to it... Kitty. Alucard's grin widened a little.
Cathryn sighed. Fine. Thank you for that, Master...
You're most welcome. Alucard's laughter rang through her head.
((Sorry, but I couldn't resist that... xD I love Alucard. He can be so obnoxious... Lol))

"Master, in our defense, or at least in mine, I don't like hair matting down in my face," Seras replied, pouting slightly. "And it tickles my neck too much when its wet too."
"Alucard is right, however. Rain should not be an issue here."
Seras turned carefully, making sure her Harkonnen didn't swing and bump into anything as she faced her superior, Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. Integra had been surveying the area, and considering options. This church was, unfortunately, located in northern Ireland, something she was sure had not escaped Alucard's notice. After all, they'd had quite a problem last time they had dealt with a vampire in Ireland, and it had not had anything to do with the FREAK itself. Hopefully, with the added advantage of Cathryn, things would go more smoothly.
"Are you three ready? I don't have to tell you to be careful here. This is an ill defined border as far as the Vatican's concerned...we must tread cautiously," she said tonelessly, addressing her nosferatu soldiers.
"Understood, Sir Integra!" Seras affirmed.

((Oh, I forgot to mention. Cathryn has yet to meet Anderson... ^^; She knows about him, thanks to Seras, Alucard, and Integra, but she doesn't know anything about him firsthand.))
Alucard turned to look at Integra, still grinning. "Let the Judas priest come," he said. "As long as we do our duties first, right, my master?"
Cathryn sighed. "Understood, Sir Integra. Should I take my position here, or at a angle from the church?" she inquired, dangling her legs over the edge of the truck's roof. Her sniper rifle, minus the scope, was laid behind her, and it was already loaded with blessed silver-tipped bullets. Hopefully her skills wouldn't be needed, though. She was still getting used to the changes in her body, after all, seeing as how she had only been a vampire for a few days now...

('Kays. You wouldn't happen to be able to get on AIM for a minute or two, would you? Also, sorry for not responding to Cathryn, I was kind of in a rush. ><)
"Correct, and Alucard...do not engage him needlessly, no matter the temptation. I could really do without the Vatican breathing down my neck," Integra said with a hint of distaste in her tone. The hint was enough, though, for it was quite clear her dislike for Maxwell and his Paladin lapdog. "As for you, Cathryn, take your position at a closer angle from the church. If you cannot acquire a shot and your assistance is needed, I will entrust Alucard with informing you to enter."
Integra was aware that Cathryn's excellent sniping abilities did not carry over to her close-quarters shooting skills. There again, that was what the far more experienced Seras was for. Speaking of which...
"Seras!"
The orange-haired Draculina snapped to attention.
"Yes sir!"
"I want you to keep a lookout for any humans. I've just received a report that a man dressed in priest's clothing has entered the church. Surveillance reports him as a tall, light-haired individual. I would have assumed it was Anderson, but in this case the report revealed a much lighter skintone and silver hair."
She paused to let that sink in as she fetched her case of cigarillos, withdrawing one and lighting it.
"If it is a human, spare them and get them out of the way before they're turned into a ghoul. If it is another false priest in cahoots with the FREAK vampire, exterminate it. Understood?"
Seras nodded sharply once.
"Yes, I'll keep a lookout, Sir Integra."
"The same extends to you, Alucard and Cathryn."

((Don't worry about it. ^^))
Alucard sighed theatrically. "Alright, my master..."
Cathryn nodded, grabbing her rifle and sliding off of the truck. "Yes sir!" she responded sharply, landing easily on her feet next to Alucard before dropping the shoulder strap of her rifle over over shoulder and letting the rifle rest against her back.
Alucard bowed slightly, his ever-present smirk never wavering. "Yes, my master. It will be done."
Cathryn swallowed, a little nervous. This would be the first time she was directly involved in a mission. As a human police woman, and then soldier, she was only ever backup. Never would she have been ordered in. This was very new to her...
"...I should go ahead and get into position, then," she said, her slight Scottish accent slipping into her speech, showing her nervousness. She looked up at Alucard, who nodded, pushing his sunglasses up on his nose.
Relax, Kitty... he muttered to her as she hurried off. Relax, or you will be a liability. He chuckled quietly as he sensed her nod of assent. Trees or not, he should still be able to see her quite clearly, but she was becoming a bit harder to pick out. Looks like the police trained her well after all... he thought.
Cathryn could be a quite hyper, somewhat immature person normally, but give her a sniper rifle, stick her in the woods or in the city, and tell her to find a position, and she changed, becoming almost another person. Focused, determined, deadly. Of course, she still fouled up occasionally, but that was only normal.
((I figure that since a sniper must not be seen, Cathryn would have had to be good at disappearing as a human, and now that she's a vampire, she's even better. Of course, if Alucard really tried, he'd still be able to find her easily, but at the moment, I don't really think he's trying... If you think it's too much, though, let me know, and I'll change it a bit. ^^))

(I think he'd be able to see her, but that's just me. *shrugs* I would figure Alucard, with his 'third eye' talk, would have less of a problem.)
"No worries, Cat," Seras said before she was out of earshot. "You'll do fine."
She figured her friend needed the comfort for now, given that she was new to this. Not that Seras herself had ever had that comfort...but why should Cathryn be the same?
"Master, am I to take out the ghouls as usual?" she asked once they were on their own for the most part. "And...do you think Father Anderson will be in there?"
She wasn't at all fond of the man, and found him to be downright crazy. Though really...should she be asking Alucard this? He probably wanted Anderson to be there, just so that he could fight him.
***
Inside the church, the man that Integra was so worried about was currently running through the building, holding a hand to his shoulder. Blood poured from through his fingers, and he was breathing unevenly, his pain evident.
"Why me?" he thought piteously, taking a moment to rest against a wall and shift his grip.
That only led to yet another shot heading towards his head, which he barely dodged enough that it only grazed his cheek. A bit more deeply than he'd have liked for such a close shot.
It got him running again though.
"You can't run forever, human...hahaha!"

((Well, I mean he can still see her, but she's not as obvious. That's all. ^^))
Cathryn didn't respond to Seras' reassurance, but she heard it. She smiled to herself before continuing to jog. Soon, she found a good tree and climbed it quickly. Settling down onto a branch, she brought her rifle around and sighted down the barrel, testing her viewpoint. "Good," she breathed, then settled in to wait.
Alucard glanced down at Seras before leading the way towards the church. "Of course, Police Girl. And I hope the Judas priest is here. Either way, this should be interesting at least..."

"Things are always interesting when we work," Seras commented, though she was not happy about that. Ever since she'd been Turned, things had never settled down...she wished she could get some sort of break. Then again she'd rather be undead than dead. So she owed a debt of gratitude, apart from the fact that she would always serve her master's purpose, and her master served his master, Sir Integra.
***
Gritting his teeth, the silver-haired man growled in frustration as he realized he'd hit a dead end. Now he had nowhere to go...and had to face off against this vampire. It could be nothing else, and he was willing to accept that.
But what he wasn't willing to do was shift forms. And yet if things didn't get any better, he might be forced to.
He didn't have much time to think about it either, before the vampire caught up to him.
"Ah, there you are," the vampire said, grinning. "You'll rue the day Iscariot dispatched you, bastard."
The silver-haired man sighed.
"And you call yourself a priest. You're not worthy of the cloth," he said quietly, releasing his shoulder and reaching for his glasses. "I am not of Iscariot, but I suppose I should dispose of you."
But before he could even shift them, the other priest's body seemed to implode at the chest. It was so rapid, it took the other man some time to realize that about seven bayonets were now sticking out of the Vampire's chest.
Seven...that's a bit overkill, he thought, letting his hand drop. The vampire screamed in agony, but that wasn't the end.
"Ashes tae ashes, an' dust tae dust...amen."
A prayer...? The man thought. And then he saw the Vampire's head cleanly separate from his body, before both parts simply disintegrated to nothing before hitting the ground.
This revealed a dark-skinned man with a scar upon his cheek, glasses similar to his own, and a short growth of spiky, light blonde hair.
"An' who are ye?" Came a gruff voice, thickly accented. Scottish, if the man wasn't mistaken.
"I-I...I came here to spend the night, I didn't know this man w-was a Vampire..."
"Tha' so? Ah don' see why ye might be lyin', ye seem to be dressed somewhat like a priest yerself. Ah suggest ye get goin', there's gonna be one hell o' a mess here. More heathens t'come."
The silver-haired priest seemed to cower under the gaze of the man speaking. Apart from being dressed like a priest and wielding dual bayonets...this man had an unstable look about him. He seemed to welcome other vampires...
Well, Abel Nightroad had no problem getting out of here. He wasn't going to get in the way of all this.
"Ah...thank you sir," Abel said. "I wish you luck in your...ah, holy mission."
"Luck's got nothin' tae do with it. It's puttin' these monsters in their place."

Alucard shrugged slightly. "Not for me, Police Girl. You should know that I prefer a challenge..."
Less than a minute later, they approached the church. Alucard turned slightly, searching the trees. A moment later, his grin widened, and he nodded slightly. There she was. Good spot, too. He turned and pushed open the door of the church. His boots tapped almost inaudibly against the hard floor as he stepped stepped inside, glancing around.
Cathryn shifted slightly on her tree branch. She'd seen her master and Seras pause by the church before entering, and she knew that Alucard had seen her position. Now all she could do was wait. She ran her hands along her rifle, checking it over quickly, just to make sure. Satisfied, she let herself become as still as possible, focusing on the church.

Seras entered after Alucard, gripping her Harkonnen close. She expected ghouls, for certain. But where were they?
And then she caught the scent of blood. Not vampire blood, or any other sort of irrelevant blood. No, she was smelling human blood. There was something more metallic about it, but she didn't question that.
"Master, I think someone's hurt!" she said, knowing that chances were Alucard wouldn't be too fussy about that. So she passed him and tried to find where the scent was coming from...
...only to be cut off by a ghoul, which leapt out at her and caught her by surprise.
"Bloody hell!" the young woman cried out in alarm, but once she realized what had her, she swung the Harkonnen like a club, sending the ghoul flying before positioning the cannon against her shoulder and leaping back so that firing the thing wouldn't harm her as well.
The D.U. round was a bit much for just one ghoul, she kind of figured that once she was calm and said ghoul was splattered all over the walls. But hell, she'd been surprised.

Alucard turned slightly, in time to see how Seras reacted to the ghoul. "Take it easy," he commented, chuckling.
"If you want to find the injured human, feel free. Just don't neglect your duty," he continued, pulling his Casull out of his jacket. "Now. Come out, vampire!" he called, pulling the trigger a few times and destroying a few more ghouls that had jumped out.
Cathryn narrowed her eyes slightly, gazing at the door of the church. She scowled slightly when she saw several ghouls beginning to gather from behind the church. "Oh no you don't..." she muttered under her breath, lifting her rifle and sighting along the barrel. She let out a slow breath, then breathed in, held it, and pulled the trigger.
About four hundred feet away, a ghoul's head disintegrated, and the thing fell. Moments later, another did the same. Then another, and ghouls started gathering slowly. Five in all fell before there was a brief lull while Cathryn quickly reloaded. "Just try and get past me, freaks..." she muttered, aiming her rifle once more.

"Th' only vampire I see here is ye, unholy monster!" called a sharp, accented voice as a bayonet skewered the ghouls before him. As they fell to the ground, the Paladin himself was revealed, a toothy grin on his face now that he'd caught sight of Alucard.
Seras shivered slightly, knowing that voice and realizing that her fears had been confirmed. Anderson had come. And why wouldn't he, with Enrico Maxwell pulling his strings, and the thinly divided continent of Ireland which the Catholics thought was theirs by right?
Deciding to leave Anderson to her master, she dove down a left-side hallway from which a great many ghouls had come, and used her Harkonnen to clear a path. One shot took care of a few ghouls, and distracted the others enough for her to load in an incendiary round to blast them to kingdom come. She then began to run through the church, following her nose and navigating by it to find out where the bleeding person was.

Alucard's grin widened quite a bit, and he pulled out his Jackal, chuckling delightedly. "It's been a while, Judas priest!"
Several five-shot bursts of gunfire later, Cathryn reloaded her rifle again and looked around. There were no more ghouls coming around the church, but she was sure there were still more inside.
M-master...? she tried, not sure if she could initiate a connection, so to speak.
Alucard's gaze never wavered from Anderson. What, Kitty? he responded.
I'm done out here, Master. Should I come in and help you and Seras?
Find Police Girl. She could probably use your help, Alucard told her, and she nodded, shouldering her gun and jumping out of the tree. Pausing briefly to fix her skirt, she then ran towards the church, easily covering the distance within a minute. She slipped through the door behind Alucard, only to freeze when she saw Anderson. He must be... Anderson... she thought, slowly edging towards the hallway down which she could smell Seras and human blood.
Alucard ignored her presence, remaining focused on the Catholic before him. "Here to try to kill me again, Anderson? Or simply to fight?"

"Wha's it matter, ta kill ye or ta fight ye? It all comes ta th' same end," Anderson replied, his grin widening as he gripped his pair of bayonets tightly. "Ye best be ready, Ah plan to finish ye off t'night, vampire!"
With that, the priest charged down Alucard, flinging his bayonets forcefully at the Vampire, and grabbing some new ones.
***
Seras eventually made her way to the source of the blood, and found a tall, bespectacled man knelt at the end of the room and holding his bleeding shoulder, breathing harshly.
"...Sir, are you alright? Ugh...dumb question, sorry," she murmured as she neared him tentatively. "Here, let me help you."
"I'm...I'm fine Miss," the man said weakly. "Just...you should really get out of here, there's monsters."
Seras grinned slightly.
"Oh, don't worry about that. This gun here isn't just for show," she began, but before she could react, all the breath was knocked out of her as the silver-haired man swept a leg out, tripping hers from under her.
"What the hell are you getting at?!" she snarled, turning the Harkonnen's business end to the stranger's face, but he had his revolver drawn first, and shot just clear of her head...at a ghoul which had been about to grab the collar of her shirt.
"Be more...attentive, would you?" he berated in the same weak tone, rising to his feet. "There's a bunch of ghouls closing in on this room. For the moment...why don't we work together?"
"Work together? You're a bloody mess, sir...and who are you anyway, that you know these are ghouls?"
"Father Abel Nightroad," he said quietly. "And you?"
"Ah...Seras Victoria. Father...you're with the Vatican?"
"Right," he affirmed. "But there's no time for that, Miss Victoria. Please...prepare for your shot!"
As he said this, a hoard of ghouls burst into the room, and it actually disgusted Seras how many human lives had been made forfeit through a FREAK vampire's greed and gluttony. She loaded another incendiary round into the Harkonnen, firing it off and blasting a group of ghouls away.

Alucard laughed, twisting so the blessed blades wouldn't catch him. "You say that every time we meet, Father!" he teased as he fired off a round from the Jackal, his coat swirling behind him.
"Gyah!" Cathryn scrambled into the hallway with a small shriek, Anderson's bayonets slamming into the wall where she had just been. She calmed down and moved slowly down the corridor, her rifle at the ready.
She quickly came upon a large group of ghouls crowding into a room, just after another group had been blown away. Her nose told her that Seras and the injured human were inside, so she moved back a little and knelt. Sighting down the barrel of her rifle, she quickly squeezed off five shots, destroying the same number of ghouls. As some of the remaining ghouls turned and headed towards her, she swiftly reloaded and cocked the gun, then raised it and shot the nearest ghoul through the forehead, without even bothering to sight along the barrel.

Anderson brought up a bayonet to deflect the bullet, not at all bothered when the blade snapped. He had plenty to spare, and simply reached back into his coat for one.
"An' you keep usin' th' same tricks, as if a bullet's gonna do ye any good!" he sneered right back. "A' least these will kill ye if I use 'em right!"
So saying, he cross-slashed at Alucard, a move that with such power and precision, would slice the Vampire's chest wide open if he didn't make a move. Of course...Anderson didn't expect Alucard to stay still, unless he wanted to mock the priest.
***
"Ah...Cat, is that you?" Seras called, ducking as the priest behind her shot off his whole barrel in rapid succession. That's a bloody revolver, how's he doing that??
For each shot Abel took, six ghouls fell. He was an excellent shot, no doubt there.
But he was also an increasingly slow shot...and it was making him desperate. The ghouls weren't easing up either in the front, and behind Cathryn, a great deal more were gathering. He was losing his patience, and his temper.
"...Shit!" he hissed. Now the Peacekeeper was out, and he was getting dizzy again. Dropping the gun, he frowned, glaring at the ghouls. The poor souls...

Alucard slid out of the way of the cross-slash, dashing to one side and firing several rounds from both guns. "Are you sure about that, Judas priest?" he practically sneered, his grin wide and crazy. Like Anderson, he had completely disregarded Cathryn's shriek, too focused on the fight.
Cathryn glanced behind her, then swore. "Ah, no... I am not going to get trapped! Dammit... If only the Catholic hadn't shown up, Master could be here helping us!" She stood up and shot a couple more ghouls through their heads, took a deep breath, then charged into the hoard. She'd rather have her back to the wall, thank you very much.
As she plunged into the middle of group, ghouls tried to grab her, and she swung her rifle, cracking a few skulls, then dove into the room. Her clothes were a little ripped now, and one shoulder leaked a tiny bit of blood. She took a deep breath as she turned around. Her eyes were crimson, and her fangs showed as she panted. "Alright. Never doing that again..." she muttered, then glanced back at the other two. "Are you alright?" She flinched slightly, though, when she caught a powerful whiff of the human's blood. Dammit... I guess I am still really weak... she thought, growling a little as she brought her rifle back up.

Come on...take them out. Don't make me have to, Abel though desperately. Seras was trying to do a good job of that, but she was running out of both rounds. She'd already run out of incendiaries, and now she was on her last two D.U. rounds.
Augh...I knew I should have restocked the ammo for this thing. Didn't expect so many ghouls.
"Cat, how many shots do you have left? We may have to wait for Master Alucard," she said, aiming and firing one of her last two shots at the mob of ghouls.
"W-what?" Abel cried, looking alarmed. "You're out?!"
He sounded frightened outwardly, but inwardly he was truly upset. He knew these girls were not human to be wielding such weapons, but even so...

Anderson backed off when he received a few burning shots to his right arm and side, but that didn't stop him from chucking four blades.
"Sure enough. Even a monster such as yerself can't withstand ev'rythin'!" he snarled, bout his grin was as craziliy wide as Alucards, and he even laughed while he was at it. Any fight against this particular nosferatu was a fight indeed!

Cat glanced down. "...Three." She looked up and shot another. "Make that two. And I don't think Master's gonna be done anytime soon... You know how he gets..." She glanced back at Abel. "Don't worry. Even without ammo, we won't be beaten by these ghouls," she assured him, her fangs rather obvious. She turned, and swung her rifle. A ghoul that had gotten too close was sent flying into its fellows. "Damn ghouls..." she muttered, then fired.
One left. I wish I was as sure as I sounded... Master, we're gonna need you... she thought, firing her last bullet.
Alucard chuckled, even as two of the four bayonets sliced into his shoulders. "And neither can one such as you!" he returned, disregarding the bit of blood starting to soak the shoulders of his jacket. They would heal soon enough.

Seras fired off her last round, blasting away a handful of ghouls, then snarled, charging the rest and using Harkonnen like a battering ram. With the force and velocity, a few were impaled on the barrel of the large cannon, and she swung it upwards with enough force to tear through one, and fling the others into the group of ghouls headed into the room which she had passed.
Abel exhaled slowly in pain. He was running low on blood...and these young women were Vampires...
N-no! I won't...
He had to get rid of these ghouls and figure things out. Now. That aside, he simply didn't see Seras being able to fend off everyone, and Cat seemed to be a sniper rather than a close-range shooter. Then again, guns weren't exactly known for their close-ranged trait.
Now of course...there was the problem of his dirty little secret, and whether or not he should reveal it. He decided not to for now, though he did rise and rush the ghouls as if he were more than a mere human, pulling one into a full nelson before it struck out at Seras.

Anderson only laughed raucously at that.
"Les' see who kin hold out longer today!" he sneered, using his blessed blades to try and pin Alucard to the wall.
