Patience smiled and shook her head when she pulled away. "I know... I figured if you're going to be a show off... Might as well show you up." She teased.

"And you can't argue with me." She grinned and tackled him under the water kissing him. Her hairtie coming out of her hair when she dove since it was a scrunchie.

Hair was plastered to her face and chest when she resurfaced. "So... How was that for show off?" She grinned.

Luis liked her directness. "Its pretty good..." he said then pinned her against the pool wall. "Now you're mine," he said, ravishing her with kisses, moving her hair from her face as he kissed chin and neck.

Patience smiled and bit her lip. Her hand going to the back of his neck as he kissed her neck.

"You tease me." She grinned and kissed him pulling on his swim trunks. Grinning up at him she smiled and shook her head. "You are perfect." She smiled up at him before ducking under the water and swam away before he could do anything.

Luis got frustrated and pounded the water. "Dang it, Patience!" he shouted. "Why must you keep moving away from me...?" he asked more to himself than to Patience. He decided to swim laps to take out some of his frustration and began swimming to the shallow end.

Patience laughed a bit and stopped him. "Hey.. Come here..." She hugged him tightly. "Fine... I'll stay in one spot.." She folded her arms across her chest and looked at him.

She pouted. "Lighten up... Have some fun once in awhile." She grinned and kissed him.

Luis stopped his laps and looked at her from the shallow end of the pool. He didn't move and just watched her, no smile on his face. "When I try to have fun you swim away. Or you cut me down. Like this morning at breakfast."

He swam another lap, then stopped again. "I love you Patience. But I don't like being lead on. And it seems that is what you are doing." Luis then climbed out of the pool and walked to the table. Grabbing a towel, he wrapped it around his waist and took a seat by his lemonade. He watched her in the pool to see how she would take this and see what she would do.

Patience sighed and got out of the pool and went over to him. Sitting next to him she looked at the deck. "Everytime I get close to someone it gets ripped from me... I've learned to have to lead people on to see who have the patience to deal enough with it."

Hair went in her face. "It's like my way of seeing who really cares enough to want to be with me... It's a defense I've had to have since a couple thousand years ago... I let someone get to close to me and I almost got my wings ripped out.... I've been cautious ever since."

"I'm still here." Luis said to her, a serious tone in his voice. "I will not leave you." he said pleadingly, trying to make her believe. He took her hands and held them as he looked into her face. He could see her pain and was sorry she had gone through it, he wanted to heal it away.

She looked up at him and hugged him tightly. "Like I said before... I'm selfish, impatient and at times insecure.... But I promise there is something worth keeping." She kissed him.

She put her head on his shoulder. "I promise." She sighed and kissed his cheek.

"I know you are worth keeping. 'Tis why I'm still here." Luis smiled and held her close to his body. Her hair was dripping onto his drying body. He looked to the sky shortly after and said to her softly. "I am going to have to get ready to go soon. And I need to shower out the chlorine." His voice had a bit of sorrow in it since he didn't want to leave her so quickly after making up.

"Go take a shower.... You need to get to work." She teased and kissed him gently before getting up. "I'll take one once your done. We can get my car late on tonight when you get home." Patience hugged him tightly and then kissed his cheek. "I'll make sure you have dinner waiting on you as well too.."

Patience smiled and took his hand. "Come on love." She grinned and shook her head before heading inside.

Luis walked into the house with her but went to his room to bath. Washing off the chlorine and the issue he had with Patience. He didn't want to think about it, he just wanted to love her and all her flaws.

"Angels have their flaws," he said as he stepped from the shower and dried off. Luis snapped and a black outfit appeared. It looked like a suit but it was torn and tattered. He walked out of his room, barefoot, and back to his angel.

She looked up at him. "What the fooch?!" Her eyes went to his outfit. "What is that for?" Patience teased.

"Don't tell me you work as a stripper?" She laughed. "cause then I might have to get jealous." She winked at him before looking down at her book. Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear her earrings showed then.

"This is the uniform of the Bidder of Death," Luis said without joining in her laugh. He watched her as he walked in her direction. "I'll be back at nine," with that, he kissed her nose and disappeared.

She touched her nose and shook her head. "Fine don't kiss me goodbye.." She pouted and shook her head with a slight smile. Once Luis was gone she got up and stretched before heading to get a shower.

Once she was done in the shower she got out and headed back to get to the living room. She read in her book for awhile and fell asleep on the couch before waking up a few hours later to make sure that dinner was ready for Luis when he got home.

As soon as Luis disappeared from his home, he reappeared in another part of the world. He wasn't sure where because Death never told him those kind of details. He did know that this area was plagued with war. He was here to collect tonight and he was not looking forward to it.

Soldiers were due to come into the village and kill the women and elders. Luis wasn't happy to be here but he waited. Soon, screams and cries were heard through the straw homes of the village. Sadness was etched all over Luis's face as he began to walk the streets of the village. He watched families get torn apart. The children pulled from their mothers arms just before their mothers were murdered.

Tears rolled down his eyes as he opened a carved, silver box. Dark and light shadows began to move into it as he walked. After the cries had faded and the flames died out, his job was done. He disappeared from there, never to think about it again, and reappeared, without the box, in his room.

He got back in the shower to wash away the tears, the blood, and the sorrow of his work and what he just finished doing. "I hate my job..." he said.

The water grew cold before he came out of the shower. Luis dried off and found clothes to put on. He walked out of the room and into the kitchen wearing gray sweatpants and a white t-shirt. "Honey, I'm home," he managed and smiled weakly at her before collapsing on a stool at the bar.

Patience hugged and kissed him gently. "You ok?" She turned his face to hers. "Don't lie to me..." Her eyes searched his face.

"What happened?" She kissed his cheek and went back to cooking. She had made pasta and garlic toast.

Patience put a plate down in front of him with toast on it. "Talk to me Luis.... You seem depressed." Her hand went to his.

"I ate already so don't worry about me..." She said before he could ask her if she ate.

"Something is off Luis."

Luis looked up to her eyes and held back tears as he thought of what he had just witnessed. "It was horrible..." he began, then proceeded to tell her what he had just seen. "I will move on from it but never forget it." he finished.

He smelled the food she placed before him and smiled gently. "It looks good, love." he said, then took a bite.

She kissed his cheek. "You're home now.... Try not to think about it.... I hate my job sometimes."

Patience kissed him gently and hugged him before going over to the couch to get her book and went back to reading it.

Her eyes went back to him as she sat down. "At least you don't have to escort people to the pearly gates." She sighed. "The worst thing ever is having to take a child..." A tear went down her cheek. "It's hard..." She looked at him then and looked down at her book.

"Who do you think collects their souls to be sorted?" Luis asked, turning around to look at her. "I'm there to watch them die and I can't do a thing to stop it." He ate his meal and tried not to think about it. It just brought him down.

After he finished eating, he put his dish in the sink and went to sit next to her on the couch. "Do you want to go get your car? Since we have to work tomorrow, we probably don't want to yell out that we are a couple by showing up in the same car" he said, smiling.

Patience shrugged. "It would prove interesting." She teased and shook her head.

She kissed him gently. "It'll be ok." She smiled and hugged him tightly. "I promise."

Grinning she put her head on his shoulder. "It's ok Luis..." She grinned. "You have me."

"That I do..." Luis said, taking her into his lap. He kissed her and held her close to him, bringing himself back to reality.

Patience grinned and straddled his lap before kissing him again. "You just need to unwind." She smiled. "I could give you a back massage... Would that help?" She bit her lip innocently.

Her eyes met his. She smiled and kissed him again. "Or are you ready for bed?" She looked up at him again. "It's up to you love... Doesn't matter to me." She shrugged. "I just want you happy..." Patience ran her fingers through his hair.

Luis smiled down at her. "I think you giving me a massage would want me to do more with you. And I'm not ready for bed. Also, we have to go get your car." he lifted her up. "Are you ready to go get it?"

Patience laughed a bit. "Yea... We can go get my car." She kissed him gently.

She shook her head and went to get a hoodie. Putting it on she came back in the living room. "Alright... Let's go." She grinned and grabbed her keys. "Ready when you are love."

Tying her hair back she looked at him. "Ready babe?" She smiled.
