Cytherea thanked Hazel for the comment, but noticed that the silver-blue dragon still seemed uncomfortable. Sleix again called for Cytherea attention as he asked about King Elleron.
"Ti's not intrusive at all. In fact I'd love to tell you about him." Cytherea stated.

Cytherea lead Sleix deeper into the library where there was a small place with couches and a small fireplace. Above the fireplace was a oil painting of a tall, pale, platinum-blond-haired vampire with the most unearthly blue eyes anyone had ever seen. He wore royal garbs of green, black and navy blue. Upon his head was a small, simple crown of obsidian-like stone like looked more like a masculine tiara than a crown.
"This," Cytherea gestured to the man in the painting "is king and lord Elleron Rawdroll."

Name: Helena
Gender: Female
Age: Somewhere around two centuries, but she's not certain.
Race: Fae
Appearance: [x] (note: her loincloth and pants end at her knees and she wears golden brown leather sandals on her feet; also, she has thin orange dragonfly wings)
Powers/Skills: Fire Manipulation, clairvoyance, telepathy, and psychokinesis (the ability to move inanimate objects through mental control)
Biography/Character Info: She was raised in a noble family among the fairies and was taught combat and control of her powers from an early age. She is fiercely loyal to her clan and species and doesn't trust those who aren't faeries. However, she is also highly inquisitive which more often than not gets her into trouble. She is very small, as are many fairies from her family; she stands at about 6-7 inches.

Helena had been flitting around a small patch of fire flowers when she heard voices coming from a clearing in the woods nearby. She frowned, her golden brown eyes troubled. No one every really came to this part of the woods; a single, solitary house and its sole occupant were the only man made structures. There wasn't a town for miles.

Curious, Helena flew over to a tree to try and figure out what was going on.

((hiya!))

Hazel left them to whatever they were doing and went to the Dragons section. She had many of these, row after row of dragon biologies and histories. It made her sick.

Sleix's face fell as Hazel replied. She didn't seem too interested at all. "Oh. Er, I guess I got a little carried away there. Sorry 'bout that." he muttered as he carefully set the book between his shoulders, holding it there securely with his wing joints until he had a better chance to examine it further.

He followed Cytherea eagerly to the lounge-like area and listened. "Rawdroll... Yes, definitely a familiar name. Though from what, I can't remember. Have to check my tomes back home..." Sle kept mumbling to himself, finally just staring at the painting as Cyth's words were processed.

Hazel was bored. She didn't want to interrupt Sleix though. She padded up to him and asked, "What are you looking at? All I see is a picture with a vampire on it." she looked up at it. the eyes spooked her, she wouldn't want that hanging in her library.

Hazel came and stood next to Sleix, Cytherea took her chance to explain to the two of them who it was on the painting.
"King Elleron is ruler of the Obsidian City, quite a ways away, more towards vampire territory." Cytherea started.
"He rules harshly in the eyes of most, but how else is one to keep peace between waring races?" she continued.
For most of her childhood and some of her adult life, Cytherea had worked and lived within the great Obsidian castle itself as one of the many royal casters in the kingdom.
"He was the one who settled the great Vampiric and Werewolven war, years back." she said, hoping that maybe that would joge Sliex's memory.

Hazel's darkening mood was worrying Cytherea. I do wonder what is wrong. Cytehrea thought to herself. Maybe it was the magic that Cytherea had previously used. Dark magic did tend to put some people off. I'll be sure not to use any blood magic with her about then. Cytherea noted to herself, not wanting to cause Hazel any more distress.

silverkittyempress 03-12-2009 10:24 PM

I know that war!! yeah, he was famous for it. Hazel thought. She knew she was probably acting very rude even though she didn't mean it. Better not show any more discomfort. she thought.

Rabid Rainbow 03-12-2009 10:31 PM

Helena flew closer to the house, peeping in at one of the windows. Strange, she thought, her frown and confusion growing. Where have these dragons come from? Helena was sure she hadn't seen dragons in this wood before.

silverkittyempress 03-12-2009 10:34 PM

Hazel twitched her ears. "Did you two hear something?" imediatly breaking her promise to not show any discomfort. She looked out the window, she thought she saw something in the corner of her eye, but she couldn't look quick enough.

Rabid Rainbow 03-12-2009 11:49 PM

Helena noticed that one of the dragons seemed to have noticed her presence. She quickly ducked out of the view of the window. Quickly, she pulled her long hair back up into a ponytail so it would stay out of her face.

Quietly, Helena pulled herself up so that she could just see into the library. These dragons seemed like they could be trusted, but Helena wanted to make sure.

eruvyreth 03-13-2009 12:05 AM

Wow... She's not too keen on being polite for the sake of it, is she? Sle thought after Hazel's comment on the painting. He growled back, sort of irritated, "I was trying to remember which of my books I'd seen a copy of this image in before."

He turned to Cyth again, nodding. "Ah, yes, I see now... I haven't looked in the vampire or were-creature sections of my cave for ages. No wonder I had trouble!" He then dipped his head to her, "Thank you. I appreciate you letting us in and allowing us to peruse your resources."

Something caught his eye at the same time that Hazel looked at a window. She seemed pretty jumpy now. He looked at the window, but couldn't find what he thought he had spotted. It was orange... perhaps just a leaf or a bird. His eyes moved back to Hazel, though he still kept the window in his peripheral view. "Hazel, are you all right? You seem pretty tense."

Closet Shadow 03-13-2009 12:16 AM

Cytherea nodded.
"Your quite welcome." she said to Sliex.
Then the two dragons looked to the window. Something had caught their eyes. Cytherea had not seen whatever it was, and brushed the thought away lightly. Sleix then asked Hazel if she was alright.
"Thanks." Cytherea said only into Sliex's mind.
She had been to nervous to ask Hazel herself.

silverkittyempress 03-13-2009 11:20 AM

"Hmm? Oh, its nothing." She said, lying between her teeth. She tried to calm down, just talking about ancient history, (history being the key word here) and dragons, made her nervous. "Shall we go to the next room?" she asked politely.
