Cara shivered a little at the feeling of his hand on her stomach. She enjoyed the touch, it was just a bit new to her still. She slowly moved one of her hands to his front, gently sliding it down along his chest, careful to avoid the bandages covering his injuries, well... what was left of them. She temporarily broke away from the kiss, planting gentle, lingering kisses down along his jaw line and down along one side of his neck, ending at the point where his neck met his shoulders. A few moments later, her head came back up to his, her mouth meeting his again, slowly kissing him. She was not so bold her let her tongue enter his mouth right away, however she did gently trail her tongue along his bottom lip.

Nex felt her shiver against his touch, it caused him to smile, he knew that she was enjoying it that way, and at the same time that it was new to her as well. He felt her hand down his chest as well, causing himself to shiver as well, his chest was a very sensitive area, and he liked it being touched. He allowed her full access to him, feeling her kisses trail all the way down to his neck until she reached his shoulders. He eagerly returned to the kiss as soon as she reached back up, but now it was his turn, his own lips trailing down her neck, he paused at the center of her neck, playfully licking the area once, but then running his tongue slowly across the area and ending it in a kiss, he then pulled his head back up to meet with her lips yet again.

Cara smiled, feeling his shiver and taking is as a sign that he was enjoying it. Her hand went down a little, running over his stomach lightly, still careful not to touch the bandages the machine had put on him, before sliding back up to feel his chest again. Cara relaxed more, enjoying the kisses her trailed down her neck, smiling at his playful lick. When he came back to her lips, she eagerly greeted him with a gentle, loving kiss that didn't last too long before she broke away again. She lightly licked part of his jaw line, trailing gentle kisses up along the rest of his jaw to meet his ear. Her teeth gently brushed his earlobe, not quite biting but gently nibbling. She soon returned to his lips, planting a gently kiss on them.

Nex had recently had that place healed, it was extra sensitive, although he enjoyed it greatly at how gentle he was around that area, it caused him to gently shiver again. The world around him was no longer an issue, as if the two were not even in a hospital was the way he was acting. Nex noticed that the kiss did not last long, he saw her move and felt her teeth against his earlobe, he smiled a bit more after that, watching her the entire time until she reached up to his face again, feeling her kiss.

A noise caught Nex's ear, a man clearing his throat, the man was quickly revealed to be Wolfe. "Tsk tsk... you two.... getting frisky in the hospital, If the doctors would have caught you Cara would be on the streets." He laughed playfully, "Now I suggest getting off of him before you envoke the wrath of the people who run this establishment.... Anyway... how are you two doing?" he said, acting as though it was not a really big deal.

Cara smiled warmly into the kiss, feeling him shiver again. She was a bit startled, quickly coming back to reality when she heard a man clearing his voice. She unwillingly pulled away from Nex, sitting up next to him, as opposed to laying down like she had been. Her face was a bit flushed, a bit embarrassed that Nex's friend had caught them in that position. She made no move to reply to the man's question, just merely waved weakly, as a silent greeting.

Nex continued until Wolfe's voice echoed through his ears, he had caught them, which was much better to him than someone else catching them in this situation. He smiled, "i'm doing fine.... and from how it looks Cora is doing fine..." he reached over and ran a hand through her hair, he was openly affectionate with her around others. He wasn't afraid to hide it. "Anyway, what have you been up to?"

"I did a bit of research while you were gone... Turns out that your parts were being used for a mega-weapon... They want to turn that entire planet into one large cannon, and your ship had some rather important parts they needed for this construction. They relied on it, basically if you go back there. If they get their hands on you, there is a chance they will get their hands on those parts. I'm afraid the risk isn't really worth it...." Nex said silent, a dark look came upon his face, but he said nothing. He seemed to have lost all happiness as of now, as that ship had meant so much to him... He had began building it as a child... And today to lose it.... He couldn't imagine using any other ship.

Cara smiled, knowing Nex was better, especially after he told the man he was fine. When she felt Nex's hand in her hair, she leaned towards him a bit, catching his hand with her own after it went through her hair. She loved how he seemed to not mind being affectionate in front of others.. just one of the many traits she loved about him.

As the man started talking, she turned to listen to him, and after he finished, she immediately turned towards Nex, her expression sympathetic. She knew how much the ship seemed to mean to him... he'd risk his life for it, so hell, why not? "We'll just have to be extra careful then." she said softly, gently squeezing Nex's hand. She didn't know if going against his advice was a good idea.. but they'd been through a lot for those parts... Nex had been seriously injured.. Cara knew it wouldn't end well if the pirates got the parts they needed, but wouldn't they find them anyways? Wouldn't they get them somewhere else or just hunt Nex down?

"Extra careful? You are not even going to be able to breathe on that planet without an IAP member being all over your ass! You have any idea what kind of risk you are getting yourself into by going back down there! That place is a forsaken battlefield! The IAP and space pirates are using it as their own personal playground! And Pyrus is not helping the situation." Nex said little after this, but he remembered his duty, his promise, the one he felt he had to keep to Cara. "No. I cannot stand idly by while Pyrus, the IAP, and space pirates are tearing apart the inhabitants of a planet that probably have little idea of what is going on... I must go back, If not for my ship, then for countless lives of people I could try and save."

Wolfe eyed him as though he was insane, but this was just like Nex, he wanted to play hero. "Look, you are trying to play hero on a whole new level, none of these people's lives are in your hands, if you let them go then none of the blame will be placed upon you! Its completely understandable to not want to enter a death zone." Nex smirked a bit and eyed Wolfe, pausing for a moment as he felt Cara's hand squeeze his own, giving him an extra boost of confidence while talking. "Not for me... If you help me or if you do not help me.... That is your own choice, but I'm going down there to finish what I've started, and no IAP member or space pirate is going to stop me."

Cara froze for a moment, starting to reconsider what she'd just said. The IAP was after Nex... if they found him.. She then remembered what Nex had said they'd do to him. A shiver ran down her spine. He had promised to try to help her planet...try. Taking a deep breath, Cara turned to Nex. Her voice was a bit weak, knowing he may not like what she was going to say, but she said it anyways. "Nex, he... actually, might be right." She knew it was dangerous... really she could care less about putting herself in danger. After that creature in the cave attacked Nex.. she didn't think she could bare seeing something like that happen to him again. Going back to that planet would risk worse.. and that really scared her. She'd fallen for Nex so quickly, but after all that's happened, she didn't think she would be able to live with herself knowing she'd agreed to put him that kind of danger.

Nex turned toward her, not liking the way she was taking this, he knew she worried, but he had promised to do so. "See! Even your girlfriend thinks its not a good idea. There are other ships! Besides, you got hold of your programming chip! All of your parts are useless without it!" He looked downward, he had been defeated, a deep sigh escaped his mouth. "Fine..." He was frustrated, frustrated with everyone in the room. Even a bit with Cara, but he couldn't stay mad with her for long... Now was the time to relax, he wasn't even in the condition to go down to that planet.

"I need..... I need to get away...." Nex pulled himself out of the bed, away from Cara, away from Wolfe, and away from everyone, he didn't even bother to check out, he simply snatched his belt and slapped it so he now had his old attire on. He walked out into a park to the left of the hospital, depression in his eyes, he seemed very tired... So very tired...

Cara watched silently as Nex got up and left. Minutes ago they had been kissing, holding eachother... and then this conversation started with Wolfe. The look in his eyes tugged at her heartstrings, she wanted to follow after him, to say something, but she didn't. She sat there for a moment, a blank look on her face, before getting up, running a hand through her hair, and slinging her bag over her shoulder. Cara grabbed her bag from the corner of the room and swung it back up on her shoulder, then turned to Wolfe. She had nothing to really say to him, so she simply waved a little, attempting to smile, before leaving the hospital as well.

She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, not that it would help much, seeing as she didn't know her way around and she had left the map at the hospital. Her mind was on Nex, that frustrated face... those depressed eyes... She sighed. Cara knew Nex was probably upset with her... or angry, maybe, but she hoped it wouldn't last too long. She felt awful for having to disagree with him like that, but she couldn't stand putting him in danger like that... risking him getting hurt again, especially with the chance that Wolfe may not be there to help him next time.

Wolfe said nothing, he only nodded in her direction, walking out and deciding they both needed some time alone.

Nex sighed, he was skipping rocks at the pond, he didn't need much time, only a bit of time to think. He thought of what he really wanted, sure, he wanted to keep Cara protected, yet at the same time he didn't want to worry her. He needed to find her again, Nex has to apologize for storming out of the room.

Nex caught Wolfe as he was walking out of the hospital, "Where is Cara?" was all Nex asked, Wolfe shrugged his shoulders. "Hmmm.... She must be getting out as well.... She shouldn't get lost, she does have her map." Wolfe frowned, "Actually...." he pulled out her map and flashed it to Nex, Nex's eyes widenned. "Did you see where she went!? She has no idea where she is now! She could be in danger!" Wolfe flinched, Nex was rather pushy and protective over Cara, just like she was of him. "Jesus man! She couldn't be in any danger this early, just catch her before she gets to the bad side of town, alright!?"

Nex conveniently ran in the direction she ran... She was in dangerous territory.

She snapped back to reality when something caught her eye; a nearby building that looked quite a bit like a shop. She walked over to the door, looking in through the windows. She noticed that the building wasn't like the clean, big ones they had been surrounded in when they were by the hospital. They houses and building she was now surrounded by were all dirty and falling apart... windows were cracked, some buildings were missing doors and parts of walls. She thought nothing of it, assuming she was now in the poorer part of town, as she walked into the small store. Everything inside seemed to be covered in dust... either very old, or abandoned... form the looks of it, it could probably be both. She saw no one as she walked around, admiring some of teh wares they had stocked in the shelves. "Hello?" Cara waited for an answer, trying to figure out if the building was abandoned or if there was a shop owner.

I shouldn't have left you behind there... I'm such a...

Heavy footsteps echoed across the floor of the shop, a man was behind the counter of the dirty establishment, he eyed the strange woman, finding her appearance.... Very appealing. He gave off a small smirk and deeply examined every detail of the woman. His voice finally rolled forth, it was deep, and it boomed across the room with a great softness, although it would make any woman feel uneasy for them to be around it. "How can I..... Help you...?" He said as he placed a finger on the front of the counter, running his fingernail slowly back and forth.

Please be okay.... I don't want you to be hurt.... God If anything happened to you...

He said something quietly to himself as it seemed, but the floorboards around his screeched with the movement of large individuals, there was a few people in the room, more than him. Easily more than 2.... Maybe three.... Maybe more.

Cara turned towards the counter when she heard the man's footsteps, smiling a little. She stiffened a bit as she saw the way he looked over her, which creeped her out a bit. "Uhh.. I was just looking around.. Was wondering if there was a store owner." Her voice came out weakly, a bit intimidated by the man in front of her. His voice was a bit.. different than any that she'd heard. Hearing more floorboards screech, she didn't need to turn around to see that there were more people in the room. She took a slow, deep breath, offering a small smile again. "Well, thanks for letting me look around." she said, starting to walk back towards the door.

Please be okay.... Please be okay...

The man echoed forth with a pleasent laugh and reached toward the edge of the counter as she walked toward the door. "But we've only just met..... Stay a while...." he pressed a button atop the counter, the door sliding shut with a heavy metal thud, the thud echoing through the streets. "Lets chat.... I think we will get along really well...." He reached up toward the edge of the counter and pulled himself up, he towered over the woman, a smile upon his face as he slowly made his way forward, two guards now standing in front of the counter.

What was that noise! Cara! Please be okay!
Nex began running in the direction of the slam of metal, he was frantic, desperate. He wouldn't let anything happen to her, not on his watch.

Cara's body tensed as she saw the door slammed shut. She bit her lip, now wishing she hadn't walked into this shop so willingly.. Seeing the two guards, she figured she didn't have much say. "A- Alright." she said, watching as the man approached her. Each time he took a step forwards, she;'d take one backwards, until she ended up against the door. Damnit.. What does this freak want with me? She looked up at the man, a little scared, a little nervous. She figured after being through space pirate raids, this man could do no worse to her, but that didn't mean she wasn't scared of what that might be.

The giant man came ever closer until he was barely an inch away from her. "Its not like you have much of a choice.... Don't make a noise lady.... it will soon be over...." he brought himself closer to her... But something stopped him.

Cara.... The man was paused, his expression was blank and his eyes no longer seemed as though they were focusing upon Cara. He released a single groan and then fell backwards, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Just to the left of Cara, there was a metal arm, a familiar metal arm which Cara would recognize quickly, if it was not covered in blood. "Cara! I'm coming for you!" he shouted as he punched open the door and caused it to fly in the counter, the two guards had already vanished, now that their boss was dead, there was no reason to keep fighting.

Nex ran toward her quickly and clung to her as though it were the end of the world and the two of them were the only ones left, tears were upon his face and he spoke in a cracked voice as he apologized, "I'm so sorry for leaving.... I.... I was so worried... and that man almost.... Had his way with you.... God.... i'm..... I... I don't ever want to leave your side again...."

Cara pressed herself back against the wall far as she could, moving her face to the side of the man grew closer to her. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for what was to come.... what she thought was to come. Cara's eyes flew open as she heard the thud from the man's body hitting the floor. She stared in horror at the hand coming through the wall beside her. She didn't notice who's it was, due to the blood it was covered in, until she heard his voice. Nex.. She flinched as the door flew into the counter, then turned to see Nex enter. She smiled brightly, returning the embrace. "It's alright... you were upset, it's understandable.. That's.. that's happened before, Nex. It wouldn't be anything too new to me.. I'm just happy you're here now... Thank you for coming." she smiled warmly at him, gently kissing away the tears on his face. She then looked worriedly towards his arm. "Why... Why's your arm bleeding?"

Nex got here at just the right time, he was glad he had radar, otherwise he could not perform such a feat. But he was focusing on the here and now, and his worry had now been thrown away to see that she was now safe within his arms. "I was.... But that gave me no right to just run out of like that.... I should have stayed and thought it out... I'm glad I'm here too.... I wouldn't be anywhere else right now..." He felt her lips upon his face as the tears were slowly disapearing and replaced by happiness. He looked at his own arm, his metaliic arm, it was so covered in blood that it was hard to tell if it was human or not, which is why he only used one arm to hold her now. "Its his blood.... Its what I had to do..... his heart exploded against my fist...." he said, looking back at the mutilated corpse,

He pulled away reluctantly and walked toward the counter, reaching over it he found what he needed, a towell, which he used to remove the blood from his arm. "I'm glad I got here soon..... There was no telling what this man was going to do to you...." He said, turning back toward the fresh corpse yet again, then walking back toward Cara and giving her another book hug with both arms now that his metal arm was clean.

Cara was relieved to find that it was not Nex's blood on his arm.. She looked down at the man's corpse before stepping over it. She was surprised that his heart had... exploded. Nex must've hit him pretty hard.. Pushing that thought aside, she eagerly returned his embrace, her arms wrapping around his back and keeping him close to her. Cara enjoyed that closeness... they hadn't had much of it in the past couple of days, even with their time together at the hospital. "Thank you."

Nex realized that this wasn't the most romantic place in the world, after all they were in a run down shop environment with a corpse barely 2 feet behind them. "I would do it 1000 times over for you...." He said gently in her ear, giving it a little kiss once before pulling away and gripping hold of her hand, he wanted to be anywhere but here right now. He pulled her out to the alley, looking left, then right to try and get a feel of where they are. He found out where to go soon after and walked back in the direction of the good side of town. It didn't take them long to get back to familiar territory, right in front of them was the park that Next had escaped into to be alone, he looked to the bridge where he was skipping stones from, now he could spend that well deserved time alone with her.

He said nothing, but only gently let loose of her hand and walked toward the bridge slowly.

Cara blushed a little, smiling as he spoke into her ear. She had forgotten about where they were until Nex pulled away, and she suddenly became aware of the corpse and the run down shop they were still standing in. She held onto his hand, walking out of the part of town they were in, which was now obvious to Cara that was the bad side, and followed him into the park. Cara let Nex's hand go, a bit unwillingly, as she was still a bit shaken from her earlier encounter, and watched him walk over towards the bridge. Not quite sure what he expected her to do, she followed after him, but at a small distance just in case he needed more time alone after what had happened earlier.

Nex did not want time alone, he lifted his had and eyed his surroundings, seeing the beautiful tress which lined the park and gave it its calm serenity. The cobblestones which kept the authenticity of walking through an old world park, and the bushes which circled the fountain to add a touch of beauty to everything here. It was all made from stone, carved perfectly, even the bridge was made of stone, but he was not here to view the scenery, it simply added to the calmness of the situation.

A bird chriped a distance away from the two of them, behind Cara, he turned his head toward her and smiled warmly, he outstretched his hand toward her, beckoning her to come ever closer, to join him so the two could be right next to each other in this empty park. Just the two of them....

Cara smiled brightly, taking Nex's outstretched hand and joining him on the bridge. From there she looked over the park, enjoying the scenery. She admired how clean it was... how peaceful and calm the mood around them was. She only kept her eyes on their surroundings for a few minutes, before turning to face Nex. It seemed that he didn't need alone time anymore.. Now was time for the two of them to be alone, and Cara was thankful for that.
